Nice little cafe by the bus station, pretty basic interior though I like the mural of the McKenzie river. The menu has some basic sandwiches and fruit pies. I had a tuna melt that was good, on Dave's Killer Bread. Extra mayo on the bread slices was a little overkill for me. They roast their own turkey, and slice it fresh for you, which is nice. I kind of wanted PB&J but they didn't have jelly because apparently I'm the first person to order it in months haha.I guess that's what I get for eating children's food. The pie is the real reason you go here. They are absolutely fantastic! The owner makes them himself, and sells whole pies to go as well that you can just stick in your freezer and take out to bake when you're ready to eat it. I have never been a pie person, but they look so good I decided to try it. The peach pie was fantastic! I think I actually just became a pie person. They had strawberry-rhubarb, apple, peach and mixed berry pie today, but I think it changes on a daily basis and you can get any flavor to go. Prices aren't high but $6.99 for a simple sandwich without any sides or drink it's not cheap either. Drink and a small pack of chips only run $1 though! In short, it's a good basic cafe, super friendly service, but they would benefit from more choices of menu items and something like a more unique, signature sandwich. the pies are absolutely amazing though, I highly recommend them, especially the peach.I took one home for tonight too!

Holy cow! This place is excellent! I'm so glad I caught it open this morning. Had the biscuit and gravy as well as a outrageously delicious slice of berry medley pie. Coffee is only a buck and the pie is outta this world. If you are in the area, be sure to stop in.

It's vegan?!? I've yet to confirm that but I was told this is so. It wouldn't matter to my omnivorous palate though it would shock the hell out of me. I highly enjoyed the strawberry rhubarb and preferred it more to the raspberry-strawberry pie, which was much sweeter, however both were delightful.

First time there was this morning. Amazingly friendly owner! Seems to know a lot of people. I got the breakfast sandwich with avocado and tomato. It was delicious! The tomato was my favorite part it was perfect! He's old fashioned doesn't have payment card option. Cash or check only. I didn't mind one bit! Worth it! Very classic breakfast diner food. Then there's the homemade pies! I'm going to go back on Saturday to snag one for my grandmas for thanksgiving! I want the raspberry Apple one! Lots of other delicious flavors! He was preparing them right in front of me! I'll be going back many times in the future!

A local friend told me about the old - and now closed - Mom's Pies. So it was a lucky find and a pleasant surprise when I happened to walk by this place strolling through Eugene one day. I had to have my dessert before dinner as they were about to close at 5 pm. Lovely pies at very reasonable prices with friendly guys behind the counter. I am still trying to figure out how I can get one home.

Pies are great, the lunch special is pretty decent, and breakfast is always a good thing. The folks who work there are great and occasionally you'll end up sitting near another customer who's chatty and friendly while waiting for your order. Upside: those pies are awesome and you can get them by the slice, whole, or frozen and ready to bake. Seriously. Breakfast is always good and there are some good options on the menu for omnivores. Downside: cash only can be a drag and their open days and hours can be unpredictable during holidays and festival season. Also, the price of their lunch special went up, which makes them less of a good deal than before.

I was surprised to see Mom's Pies open here in Eugene after so many years located in Vida. I used to visit this place every time I took a fishing trip to the Mc Kenzie River. I love the food. The rhubarb pie is great, they have a sandwhich, soup and slice of pie deal all for only $7.50. I think the restaurant itself could use a little tuning up, more decorations, some colorful blue paint maybe? But I think their menu should always stay the same!

Ordered for takeout and wasn't asked how I'd like my order cooked, and wasn't told its cash only. Arrived with cold food, order not how I would have ordered, and wasn't able to take it with me because remaking it would have taken 20 minutes (the first order took 5 to make) and I didn't have cash on me.
