This is pretty average to below average Thai food. Not particularly well spiced or authentic. Americanized in some respects with sate being grilled sliced chicken breast versus skewers. Green curry served over pasta, etc. not terrible but worth going out of your way for either.

THAI STYLE FRIED RICE is Regular. COCONUT ISLAND is good. Should try yellow curry next time.

This is one of those places in town that give Eugene ethnic cuisine the poor reputation it has. At first we thought it odd that the waitress decided to sit us right next to the only other customers in the huge but empty restaurant. It was inconvenient to have to keep our voices down since it was so very quiet, and then I realized after the third table was seated right by us that the waitress wanted to be able to lean against the dish bar and chat with a coworker while keeping an eye on everyone's tables at once. Happy to help, lady. Can I just say that it's weird to get thai food served over angel hair pasta? I tried it to be adventurous, but the noodles had been poorly drained, so the peanut sauce became all watered down and weak. The carrot slices must have been decorative because they were floppy and unappetizing. My date's green curry was really good, but the chicken in both dishes was mediocre. Next time I will substitute rice for the strange pasta. The only reason this isn't a 2-star review is that the green curry really was that good.

Pretty tasy, Tried the pad thai, was very solid for the eugene area. Also tried the peanut curry, Was very good and they let us get a mix of tofu and tempuh in it, at Thai n noodle they only let you pick one! I would order this again in a heartbeat. Good service except they sat us next to the only other people in the restuarant. Giving it a four because the prices were a little higher than cafe aiyara and the food was about the same as theirs.

I used to go to Manola's virtually every week for lunch, and don't get me wrong -- the food is pretty good. But after raising their prices (earlier this year, I think?), it just became too expensive for lunch, and I was forced to switch my Thai lunch dollars to Sweet Basil, which has comparable food at slightly lower prices (and is definitely busier at lunch time).

Went in for the first time ever and was very excited to try it out after reading some of these reviews. Unfortunately the only perk to the trip was the Thai Iced Tea. I was with my husband and mother and out of the 3 of us not 1 enjoyed the meals. I had Fancy Chicken, though the presentation was nice and colorful, the flavor was bland. My Husband and mother both got Pad Kee Mow and the taste was missing from their dishes as well. The waiter was nice enough and the atmosphere was alright. They could have been having an off day so I'm not giving just 1 star. Meh.. you win some, you lose some.

YUM. Some of the best Thai food in Eugene. I tend to get it delivered, but they have never left me disappointed. My favorite from them is the Kwiteau Beef soup (which I have no idea how to spell), and I strongly recommend it to anyone. As far as I know, they're the only place in town that serve it (other than Ring of Fire's adaptation of it). I've also had the standards (pad thai, pad see yu, etc), and I have never been disappointed. The waiters and waitresses have always been more than kind. When searching for thai food, this is where I go. But back to the deliveries, they are fast, accurate, and you don't have to go through Pony Express (so the delivery fee isn't outrageous). And if you're a college student they give you deals too (everyone knows the students need those).

My wife and I have been going to Manolas for at least 7 years. We have each had a number of different dishes and rarely has there been anything unsatisfactory. When anything has been a little off they make it right. The wait staff can be a tad slow but I have never seen anything like what some people complain about. The waiter we usually have always offers whomever comes in the choice of booth or table. We have occasionally asked to be moved and it has never been an issue. Speaking for myself the Massaman Curry is amazing!! I have had the Massaman at almost every other Thai place in Eugene and nothing even comes close. My wife is a vegetarian and their Ghai Phad Cow Pod (baby corn with special sauce) with tofu is awesome!!

We've always had really good Thai food at Manola's. They have the usual varity of things and they all taste good. They also make some pineapple fried rice served in a hollowed-out pineapple, which is fun to order. Service is always friendly.

I try to eat here for lunch or dinner every other week. Service and food is always terrific. I have had the yellow, red and green curries, pad thai, massaman curry, and the panang curry--all are terrific but massaman is my favorite. I also try to always have the sweet potato fries. My new lunch favorite is spicy fresh basil. Never a bad meal--always consistently wonderful.

Our first experience with Manolas was last night and it was OKAY. I called at 7:45 and asked the guy who answered if my husband could pick up the food at 8:30, on his way home. The guy answered "oh yeah" like there was no timing issues or anything. My husband got there at 8:25 (a few minutes early) and the food hadn't even been started yet and didn't get the food until 8:45. Not that big of a deal, but still I called 45 minutes before it was needed! Their prices seem like a bit more than other Thai places, such as Ta Ra Rin (which we love), but I could be wrong. We ordered our usual for new Thai places: Pad See Yu and Massaman Curry, along with salad rolls and Thai iced tea. The to go order barely had enough rice for two people. The flavors were good, but fairly different than I have tasted these dishes before. Oh and the curry said on the menu that it was spicy so I didn't bother to ask for a different rating (nor the the guy taking my order ask me what I preferred) and it was not spicy at all. The salad rolls were different but good. Lots of cabbage in them. And the iced tea was delicious! Overall I would say it is yummy, but I prefer Ta Ra Rin to this place.

It probably won't be the best Thai food you'll ever have but it's the best delivery food in Eugene. Service is great, recommendations are always spot on and the food is very good and they deliver to your home. If you want to eat elegant meal without leaving the house I highly recommend Manolas!

Of all the Thai places in Eugene, my husband I and like Manola's best. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Their peanut curry can't be beat, and they're the only place in town I know of where you can get a Thai iced tea made with coconut milk, instead of dairy cream.

I was pleasantly surprised by this Thai restaurant in what looks like an old Taco Bell or tire store. They have live plants and cut flowers around. They have two pages of vegetarian options in the menu. The fresh rolls were very tasty, and so was my Pad Kee Mao. Everything was very fresh.

Good food! I have a food allergy and the owner came out, went over the whole menu with me, gave me a take out menu with circled foods that I can eat including substitutions. This has been repeated in my 2 returns. Highly recommend, especially if you have allergies and are sick of people not willing to check on ingredients for you!

we have only visited once, and that will probably be the only time. the service was painstakingly slow - and it wasn't even busy. the food overall was mediocre but ok. however, my gold standard for good thai food is the tom kha soup, and they failed big time in that area. hopefully we can find a better place in town.

So the food here was good, service was good as well. Both servers that worked the floor were very cheerful and talkative. We ordered 5 dishes to share for our group of 4, one of the dishes was massaman curry which was really good. My gripe is that it came with a small single serving of rice, I asked the waitress if I could get some more rice. She looked at me like are you sure? She informed that she would have to charge me $1.95 for more rice. Fine. She said it's for another small serving. I'm like seriously? I tell her I'll payl that if I can get a larger serving of rice. She can't, it's not up to up her and obviously she will get in trouble from the owner. I get it if I come in here by myself and I order one or maybe two dishes and you charge me for additional rice but there are 4 grown men sitting at this table and we ordered 5 dishes and we either share a single cup of rice or pay an additional $1.95 for each additional scoop of rice. What are we supposed to soak up the juices of our curry with? $20 worth of white rice thats what. I hope the owner is reading this right now. You think I will be eating here again? Probably not. You think I will tell everyone I know about the time my table was given a cup of rice to share with an order of curry? You bet your ass I will.

All I can say is... WOW! What a taste sensation. One bite and I was transported to a table for one overlooking a small Bangkok canal. I got the Massaman curry and when I wasn't cooling off my taste buds with a splash of Thai Iced tea I was gorging down the curry in breathless gulps, sweating profusely from the spice and the excitement. I would recommend this restaraunt to anyone interested in having a great meal in a calm, tranquil ambience. Chyo!

I came here on a whim because my friend and I were craving thai. We got everything take away so I can't really comment on the service. The food was decent I got salad rolls which had a good peanut sauce ( it wasn't too heavy, but a bit mild in terms of spicyness). The actual roll was delicious, I really like how thai restaurants moisten the rice paper I'm not sure how they do it but the rolls come out with a nice chewiness. I also got the Panang Curry on a suggestion from a friend and it was good, it had a ton of veggies but not a ton of chicken. While the food was decent, the prices were a bit expensive for a thai restaurant near campus. The decorations in the inside try to paint the restaurant as fancy, but it seems a bit old and outdated.

Great Thai Food here. I had the tofu pad thai and loved it. I would recommend this and will be back at some point for sure. I came here with a group and everyone enjoyed what they ordered so seems hard to go wrong. Many of us were vegan, so the server was helpful in navigating a already vegan friendly menu that also had both tofu and tempeh options. Only caveat is no bicycle parking. Eugene is number 5 in the country for biking according to Bicycling magazine, so would be nice to have more options to lock up a bike in this town especially at this wonderful gem of a restaurant.

Used to go here all the time and Manolas does curry the best in Eugene! They deliver which is a huge plus and their thai iced tea is delicious. It is still the only place that I can find that has peanut sauce curry and it is delicous! I always sub the pasta for sticky rice, but thats just my preference. I will agree that it is very quiet inside and that the same music tends to always be on, but I get take out generally so its not really a problem for me.

Placed a delivery order online -- it was easy and simple to do. I ordered the curry rolls, vegetarian pad see yu, and Thai iced tea. Everything was delicious! The curry rolls had just the right amount of crisp and they didn't leave an oily aftertaste. The pad see yu was seasoned and cooked just right. I've been to a couple other Thai restaurants in Eugene. One place had too much seasoning on top and none on the lower noodles. Another place made the noodles in such a way that they were clumped all together. I also requested light ice for the Thai tea. The amount of ice, too, was perfect. Also, the delivery person greeted me with a bright smile. The one minor pitfall was that they didn't include any utensils, but everything else was so wonderful that I didn't detract from the rating. On a side note, I come from SoCal, and it's been quite hard to find a restaurant worth Yelping about. I'm curious as to how their other dishes taste.

We were in town for the Tool concert and had a long week and trip down there so we decided to order Thai food in and Manola's was right across the street from our hotel. Andrew liked his food a bit. We got spring rolls, the curry rolls, chicken satay and I think Pad Kee Mow. I really liked the plum sauce. The peanut sauce seemed a little to peanut butterish to me. Andrew liked it a quite a bit. Service was good and they made sure to bring paper plates for us since we were in a hotel. Also, it was odd, usually when the food sits overnight it gets spicier, this food didn't.

Took a road trip from California to Portland and Eugene was our stop to grab dinner before ending off our day. We came in hungry and tired and the best thing about this place was the service. Our waitress was always polite, patient and attentive while dining here and I can say just by her kindness, it all woke us up and put us in a happier mood. The food was also very on point and tasted like it should have. The portions were very huge so it was a perfect amount to share family style. The ambience was very cozy and peaceful. I don't know if that's the style they were trying to go for, but it worked. Definitely didn't regret stopping by and eating here on our trip!

(5)ashley e.
We've always had really good Thai food at Manola's. They have the usual varity of things and they all taste good. They also make some pineapple fried rice served in a hollowed-out pineapple, which is fun to order. Service is always friendly.
(4)Kim S.
(5)Hannah E.
(3)Preston B.
It probably won't be the best Thai food you'll ever have but it's the best delivery food in Eugene. Service is great, recommendations are always spot on and the food is very good and they deliver to your home. If you want to eat elegant meal without leaving the house I highly recommend Manolas!
(4)Gail D.
(5)Ryan C.
The Pad Thai was average and the decor was dated. There are several Thai places in town and this is the worst I've had in Eugene.
(2)Joshua B.
The best Thai food in Eugene. I go here for all of my birthdays, and special occasions.
(5)Keegan C.
5 stars for chicken yellow curry everything else ok
(3)Amy E.
(4)Holly M.
Good food! I have a food allergy and the owner came out, went over the whole menu with me, gave me a take out menu with circled foods that I can eat including substitutions. This has been repeated in my 2 returns. Highly recommend, especially if you have allergies and are sick of people not willing to check on ingredients for you!
(5)Kristen T.
we have only visited once, and that will probably be the only time. the service was painstakingly slow - and it wasn't even busy. the food overall was mediocre but ok. however, my gold standard for good thai food is the tom kha soup, and they failed big time in that area. hopefully we can find a better place in town.
(2)Christopher Y.
(1)Martha V.
Chyo!
(5)Andrew D.
(3)Shane S.
(5)Oneo V.
Three reasons why I love this place: excellent customer service, tastes authentic, and always consistent. It's pricier than other Thai restaurants here in Eugene, but it is so worth it to spend a little more on quality.
(5)Erica W.
One of the things about a restaurant I value is consistency. Consistently good quality in the food and service. Which is a big part of why I love this restaurant. It's the exact same every single time we eat there. I've never had a single problem with dining in or take-out, with substitutions to my order, or anything else. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always helpful.
(5)Hayley R.
I have come here twice during track meets and ordered something different each time. I would not call myself a tie food expert by any means but I have liked the food here both times and would return.
(4)J B.
I got Tom Kha soup and peanut curry. Spendy, to get both, but worth it.
(5)Mike S.
Great service, tasty menu and above average atmosphere being so close to the University. Dishes to try: Tom Kha (Coconut Soup) Fresh Rolls (Shrimp Salad Rolls) Pad See Ew (Broccoli, Chicken & Noodles) Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles & Chicken) Basil Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice
(4)Ha N.
The roasted duck was amazing! A few other things we tried were alright. Pretty expensive overall.
(4)Hudson G.
(4)Georgina H.
It gets pricy ordering online from them. There is a convenience and delivery fee of maybe three dollars and a 25 dollar minimum. There is no way I would order online from this business again due to steep requirements for delivery.
(3)Bruce B.
Very beautiful surroundings here. I had peanut curry with tofu and veggies. Yum yummy. Just the right amount of spice. Well done! Worth a repeat here! I am very happy with meal and service.
(5)Helen Y.
(5)Lindsey A.
Fantastic food, reasonable prices, fast delivery, and you can order online! Some of the best Tofu I've ever had and my husband loves their chicken. There are a lot of great Thai restaurants in Eugene and you can add this one to the list!
(5)Patrick W.
Great service and better food. I realize I'm in the US, not Thailand ... but this is about as good as it gets in Eugene, OR. Loved it.
(5)Kris W.
I had the pad kee mow, my husband ate the jungle curry. Both were fabulous, as were the vegetable spring rolls and the bubble tea.
(5)Nick M.
You know, it wasn't that great. The food was capable Thai food, but nothing really outstanding. They didn't manage to get the orders right, which in itself isn't too bad, but they seemed really reluctant to correct the mistake.
(3)Lisa N.
This was a great surprise. I'm a big fan of thai food, but I'm also quite picky about being authentic and having great flavor. This restaurant was a hit. The curries and noodle dishes are great. The presentation is nice and there is a nice selection of thai drinks and desserts. Very pleasantly surprised.
(4)E B.
We had the pumpkin curry and pad kee mao. Both were great, and large enough portions to have leftovers for another meal. Highly recommended!
(5)Lynette W.
(3)Jenny Y.
(5)Karim R.
The service, Thai iced tea, & the chicken fried rice were outstanding.....the coconut soup wasn't what I expected but wasn't bad.....the place was empty when I visited.....but open when all the other Thai spots were closed....normally between 3pm & 430pm

Fantastic food, reasonable prices, fast delivery, and you can order online! Some of the best Tofu I've ever had and my husband loves their chicken. There are a lot of great Thai restaurants in Eugene and you can add this one to the list!

Great service and better food. I realize I'm in the US, not Thailand ... but this is about as good as it gets in Eugene, OR. Loved it.

I had the pad kee mow, my husband ate the jungle curry. Both were fabulous, as were the vegetable spring rolls and the bubble tea.

You know, it wasn't that great. The food was capable Thai food, but nothing really outstanding. They didn't manage to get the orders right, which in itself isn't too bad, but they seemed really reluctant to correct the mistake.

The service, Thai iced tea, & the chicken fried rice were outstanding.....the coconut soup wasn't what I expected but wasn't bad.....the place was empty when I visited.....but open when all the other Thai spots were closed....normally between 3pm & 430pm

This Thai food rocks!
