Laughing Planet! I love you! Especially this location. The entire staff, from the register to the kitchen are the most friendly, and accommodating folks. The food is always fresh! Best Tofu in town. I could go on, I just want everyone to know how much I enjoy this place.

I love Laughing Planet, but I've learned a few things to keep it so I love this place. The food is healthy, fresh, and affordable. On nights when I don't feel like cooking, this is my go-to place. We almost always call our order into the restaurant for take out. Their menu (and nutritional info! Yay!) is online. We get there right when the food is ready, and it's almost always as we ordered it (once they messed it up). The few times we've eaten at the restaurant, we're usually annoyed by the loud kids or the long wait, and sometimes they flat-out forget we ordered something, and it'll sit in their warmer until they notice or we say something. Bottom line: eat food from here, but not at the restaurant.

First: this is a very affordable, healthy and relatively fast place to eat that gets it's ingredients from locally responsible sources and has pretty much something for everyone (meat eaters, kids, entitled hippies, vegans ect...) Second: the "East India" and "Holiday" burritos are seasonal specials that are worth celebrating all their own. These should come with a warning that reads "may overwhelm taste buds and cause temporary flavor ecstasy". Third: chances are if you don't like this joint there is a strong possibility I don't like you. Fourth (and lastly): go here and also enjoy a rotation of delicious local beers and always amazing cookies.

One of my favorite places to eat in Eugene, especially at this location. Delicious, healthy food and great service! Great menu for vegetarian, vegan, glutten free and meat eaters; everyone is happy!

When I came to this location with a bit of a spontaneous visit because I was in the area and thought I would give them a try since I have not before. When I entered I was very much out of my element. The air was filled with a aura of hipster-ism and a hint of douchiness. Even the staff had a vibe of "we are better than you!" I put that aside for a moment and decided on the grilled chicken burrito with the addition of sour cream and guacamole. By the way the addition was an additional $2.50 on top of the $6.75 for the burrito. That is 37% of the cost of the burrito, sort of outrageous. For that price you would think the sour cream came from a rare yak in the Himalayas that is milked once a year by Nepali monks and the avocados from a golden avocado tree on a tropical island in a cave that can only be reached by swimming through shark infested waters. Even with the steep price at the end though the burrito definitely needed the addition. After a bit of waiting I got the burrito and was on my way. From the outside the burrito looked quite appetizing. When I bit into it, however, it was extremely runny due to the beans, which were quite bland. The chicken had a good grilled taste, probably the best thing in there. If it wasn't for sour cream and guacamole, there would hardly be any flavor. Was it the best burrito I ate? No.... Is it worth the price of $9.25? Hell no.... I am sure other people are used to paying high prices and don't mind it since they are located next to Market of Choice, where everything is overpriced and people don't mind paying it. For me Laughing Planet wasn't up to the hype that it portrays. Will I go back? Probably not!

Kim Chee and cheese in the same bowl is not something I thought would ever mix well. For some reason it worked when combined with their blend of fresh vegetables, beans, and rice. I can't wait to see what new creations are on the seasonal menu. Picky Eater Compliance: 1. PASS: Small picky eater (daughter) She loves the strawberry-banana smoothies and asks to come here at least once a week. I'm hopeful she'll try the food sometime. 2. PASS: Large picky eater (husband) The inventive dishes are in line with his familiarity of burrito bowls, but with a healthful twist. Score! A place we all agree on.

On the plus side, the food is great: healthful and fresh. The prices are reasonable, and the employees are friendly. We placed an order to go. Apparently, our food was prepared and forgotten, because it lay on a rack waiting for packaging for about 20 minutes. That was the only bad thing about the experience. The gentleman who realized that our food had been sitting for quite some time seemed genuinely sorry for the error, but the waiting was frustrating all the same. I agree with Beth D., who recommends calling in your order and taking it home.

Pretty good food that is fast and nice for on-the-go. I however feel that they have gone down in quality over the last year or so, and they could use a better tap list. I heard that they are improving employee benefits and also giving maternity leave, which is a reason alone to support them.

I wanted to like this but the bowl I got had veggies that seamed like they were frozen veg mix just microwaved, or at most heated with NO seasonings. The food was weird, unbalanced food combos and VERY lack - luster flavor. BLAH. Not for me.

We came to laughing planet because we have a friend that has celiac disease and is incredibly sensitive to gluten. Tired of Cafe Yumm, we wanted to try somewhere else. So we came here. I had the Bubba burrito and my wife had the holy mole. Neither were all that flavorful. There were a TON of beans in each burrito. The sodas were good though, I think they're housemade. All I know is that there weren't any brands. Disclaimer: I like taco bell. I know that is somewhat taboo in Eugene, OR, where everything must be vegan, paleo, and gluten-free friendly, but I just don't get it. So if you're the kind of person that likes tasty food regardless of gluten or meat, I'd skip laughing planet. Maybe the soups are good or something, but it was just very bland.

Super family friendly restaurant. Let me say that again: super family friendly. The food is not necessarily my favorite, but it's hearty and healthy, and when my kid was younger, this was a nice go to where kids were quite welcome. I think when it first opened things were more flavorful than they are currently.

(This is my daughter's first Yelp review. She is approaching 1.5 years old. It is translated from toddler-gibberish into English) I love Laughing Planet! Everytime Mommy and/or Daddy take me to Laughing Planet, there are big kids there playing. I like to smile at the big kids. Sometimes there are other little kids like me. Fun! They have plastic dinosaurs on the tables! Sometimes me and Daddy make dinosaur noises at each other. And then, I throw the dinosaurs on the floor. And nobody gets mad! They have one high chair with a broken safety-belt that they should have gotten rid of months ago! My daddy never pays attention and he ALWAYS grabs this high chair and brings it to our table. It's really funny to watch Daddy curse under his breath when he realizes that he has to go back and get one of the good high chairs! Mommy loves Laughing Planet's food! Their burritos are healthy and delicious. They have bowls with things like rice and kale. Daddy loves Laughing Planet's prices! The three of us can eat dinner for less than 20 bucks! I don't know anything about money, but I guess that is a pretty good deal for 'middle-class white people in South-ish Eugene' -- whatever that means (Daddy says lots of weird things). I like the food, too! They have quesadillas meant for little people like me. With beans and bread and not much else! I eat really, really slow, because it tastes so good. And Daddy loves spending an hour in here watching me eat. He's got dinosaurs to play with and that weird picture of Frank Zappa and his parents to stare at. Yay for Laughing Planet! I wanna go back there right now!

Loved this place! Good vibe and has cool art throughout the place. It is quiet and the service was great. We had the Soylent Green bowl for $9.50 which is: Sauteed kale and steamed broccoli on a bed of quinoa topped w/ house -marinated tempeh. You choose three different sauces and we had the cilantro-pesto. It was a generous size portion, so we shared it and split a vegan cookie. The bowl was healthy and tasty. I loved the photograph of Frank Zappa and his family which was poignant.

I had a craving for a beef burrito. This place did it justice. I will be back. Decor is cool. Menu was a little hard but serving staff helpful. Nice.

Absolutely love this place, nice refreshing environment, and good food. Definitely love the Che Guevara burrito recommend it to anyone who likes a little bit of heat! And their hemp seed cookies are really tasty and savory.

I give this a 2-star based on the smoothie I had alone. It was delicious and packed full of Berry goodness. That is the end of my good review. I don't know what may have been going on in the kitchen, but the Braised Beef burrito I had was deplorable at best. There was some sort of "pico" in it, that I am assuming was made up of dry-herb ingredients with some oil. It was incredibly overwhelming and contributed about a 1/4 of the bulk of my burrito. The 2oz of braised beef MIGHT have been tasty, had it not been for the dry herbs getting stuck in my teeth. The "grilled veggies" would have been right at home in the burrito. Corn and Peppers and Onions, Oh My! However, the Carrots, Zucchini and Broccoli that came in the burrito were practically raw and threw off the entire texture of the meal. To me texture is a huge thing, it will make or break many food items. They had propoganda on the tables that clearly stated that if you weren't happy with the food, let them know, they'll make it again. I didn't want to put myself through another burrito like that though. They can keep the 10 bucks it cost to purchase this joke of a meal.

Memo to the world: this planet needs more Laughing Planets: amazing food, engaged and friendly staff, and finally food that is committed to a sustainable future. Please come to the East Coast if not NYC or I am moving.

Yum! It took me awhile to find something here that I really liked. Some of the items on the menu can feel like they've just been thrown together haphazardly, and I really don't recommend the salads. My roommate got one and it was basically just lettuce and dressing-way too plain for the price. However, once I found something I liked, I was hooked! For me, that's the thai bowl. It's deliciously satisfying and the textures really work together unlike some of the other things I've tried here. The coupon books given out around the University of Oregon (I can't remember what they're called) usually have a few different coupons for this place as well, which makes the somewhat high prices (for the area) much easier to work with. There are toy dinosaurs all over the tables, which are great for kids or just anyone who acts like one (me). Overall, I would say give this place a few tries. Once you find something you like, you'll want to come back every day.

Soooooo yummy! I love this place. It's wonderful for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner. Everything my husband and I have had there has been delicious from the burritos to their bowls and soups. I also love how local and diverse their food is. I'm definitely a fan! Side note - they just changed their 7/7/7 deal to 8/8/7 ($8 for a burrito and beer after 8pm 7 nights a week)

I love this place!! The food is great and I'm stoked that they have a couple of Paleo dishes on the menu. I wish they had some more Paleo friendly dishes, but I'll take what I can get. The staff here are super friendly and provide really exceptional service. Whether you come in or call an order in the are always great.

Solid! This place was packed when I went there on a wednesday evening. Perfect if you want something filling, but healthy(ish). Quick service and a funky menu. Would definitely recommend you check this place out. I had the BBQ quesedilla, loved it!

Some dang good burritos. I'm normally not too concerned with texture, especially in something like a burrito, but even I can't help but notice how everything is always fresh and just the right temperature and cooked to perfection. Really full flavors on the molé and barbecue sauces, too (pretty much all I ever order). Laughing Planet burritos are sort of a different style from the chain places, which I also like, but I think I like LP better. Service can be un poco tarde sometimes, which is why it's missing a star. I've been to this location maybe a dozen times total and they've already totally lost my order twice, which is not a high success percentage. Both times they threw in some free chips as a peace offering, which was nice. I've given up hope of having zippy service anywhere in Eugene, though, so it doesn't bother me much. It's a good place for families, and there are a lot of very green items on the menu. My girlfriend and I go so that I can get something kind of heavy and meaty and she can get something super froo-froo with 5 different types of bitter greens in it. It works out great for both of us.

This review is probably long overdue, since I eat Laughing Planet about once a week, but it just means that I've thought long and hard on it! I LOVE Laughing Planet. While I've had the occasional 'miss' on an entree, Laughing Planet makes a damn good burrito, bowl, quesadilla, smoothie, cookie... Ingredients taste fresh, and are prepared well. I follow their Facebook page (both the main one, and the Eugene one), and they always post their special burrito/bowl of the week, which is usually delicious. I love that they have seasonal items, and add new menu items fairly frequently, especially for a fast-casual place. Their burritos and bowls combine flavors from all over the world. My favorite parts: The habanero sauce is SO good. Slightly sweet (do they put carrots in...?), but heat that has me panting by the end of my burrito. The 7/7/7 deal at the Eugene locations is amazing: After 7:00, $7 burrito and pint, 7 days a week. Brilliant! Even without the 7/7/7, most items are reasonably priced--Most burritos are $6-8 and large. The rough: Don't plan on eating this while driving. Every now and then I'll get a burrito that holds itself together, but most of the time, drippy goodness starts seeping out the bottom. Don't neglect the napkins, and give yourself a second to enjoy!

Laughing Planet is one of my favorite places to eat in Eugene, and this includes both the Willamette and Whiteaker locations. They are reasonably priced, and absolutely delicious (whether you are aiming for healthy or a fat-kid status meal). Super delicious smoothies (my personal favorite? Peanut Butter and Jelly!), fantastic burritos, and great salads. And they have such fun decorations! What more could you want, really?

Fast-ish food that doesn't leave me with pangs of regret - the world needs more places like this. The Mole burrito wasn't close to being the best I've ever had, but it was certainly healthier tasting than most. Enjoyed an excellent Oregon beer and outdoor seating. The service is very friendly. I like to come here while doing laundry at Laundrama or before shopping at Market of Choice.

We eat here with an embarrassingly high frequency. Some might say "every day". The number 2 juice (kale, cucumber, cilantro, ginger, apple) is a winner and the guacamole is delightfully garlicky. Southwestern green chile burrito with grilled chicken....highway to kale salad....yum.

Really good veggie food served out of an immaculate kitchen by friendly folks who make it super fast. Sometimes the pico tastes a bit off though which would be my only complaint like the tomatoes are going bad or it's been sitting while. Also the green salsa tastes SO good when they just make it but not so good when it sits around and turns slightly darker and doesn't taste as fresh. Still the food is amazing like the amazing grace. The burritos are pretty good but the tortillas are steamed so it makes them a bit soggy and mushy which I personally do not prefer. Still good freash food fast that's super healthy and tasty!

I've lived 5 minutes away from Laughing Planet for over three years and only recently tried it. I am in love. Their food is amazing, their service rocks, and their smoothies are fan-freaking-tastic.

Good place to get a fast and reliable dinner if you're not up for cooking. I find it a tiny bit pricey for what it is (usually beans and rice), but somehow they manage to make those beans oh so tasty, especially when combined with melted Tillamook Cheddar. I usually go for a burrito bowl, but most recently I had a bowl with broccoli and mashed potatoes, which was heavenly. I took friends from CA here after a day of hiking and they were impressed with the food too. They have a nice selection of beers on tap. I terribly miss their $7 after 7 burrito and beer combo. I wish they would at least bring that back one day a week! I would go every week for that tasty deal! A small note, which seems a little picky---the color of paint in this location drives me crazy. There's something about the decor that makes me want to eat outside or take it home. I think it's the putrid green that gets my goat.

Love both stores. People are friendly. Food is fairly priced and excellent. Also, love that the food is so different than most other places. If I lived in Eugene my second home would be Laughing Planet.
