Best Mexican food in town. I've been coming here since I was 6 years old-back then they called it La Fiesta. The enchiladas in particular are very good. Really though, all the food is good, it's very well done and it's easily the most authentic Mexican food you can get around here since Moreno's closed. Service has always been friendly in the 19 years I've gone there. The waitresses are very prompt and I've never had to wait longer than 20 minutes from the time I've sat down, to getting my drinks, ordering, and getting my food. Also, very reasonably priced. Absolutely love this place.

Pretty bad ~ quite sure everything was bought pre-made then tossed in a microwave and fryer.

I wanted to like you so bad. Growing up in Santa Clara we would go here from time to time. Always thought it was good. Placed a Togo order tonight only to find out that they didn't include my rice and beans with my burritos. Bummed. They did seem a little short staffed. Maybe I hit them on an off night. Will most likely try this place again just because I loved it growing up

Tried this place a few times, hoping that if we ordered differently we would have a better experience. Not the case. Staff is friendly, prices are decent, but the food is far from authentic and lacks taste. Won't be returning.

Nice food and decent service. Not pricey as well. Had chicken fajitas and Quesadillas. Liked both items. Chicken was juicy and tasty.

Worst Food I have Ever Had. Food tasted old, cold, flavorless !!!! Disgusting I can't believe this place is still in business??? Poor service ... Plus it was really dark in there. I think the best thing about the meal was leaving. I told the waitress the food was terrible, and she gave me a coupon for next time???? Why would anyone come back ??

2013 - Three is the charm - NOT. This Had been our favorite Mexican food place in Eugene. But something was different the last 3 times - Here is a summery : 1 visit - Wow, what happen to the service. But hey look how nice it is here now that they redecorated........ 2 nd visit - "It's been 35 minutes since our order. Can you see what happened cause those people came in 15 min after us and are already eating ". "I'll go check????.......Oh your order is the next one !" We walked out after 45 min. 3 rd and final visit - Lunch this time - " Hello. Hello is there anyone here?" My friend goes searching - "Hello. Is there anyone here?" OK I'm ready to leave. "Hi ", finally someone, " Table for one? " No two. My friend is in the back looking for somebody" Boy service is poor. Had lunch. Food has really gone to Cxxp. Bottom line, this place had a face lift - a plus - but it was sold and the sister place is Terrys Diner off River Road. This WAS a nice reasonably priced, decent food, decent service place to call your own. PASS for now till they get this figured out. Even the strawberry lemonade was off - Lame

Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good, but nowhere near the best ever. The salsa has a good flavor, but absolutely no HEAT. The entrees were all basically $10 and up, which is not cheap for Mexi food, but not outrageous either. The beer and drink prices are extremely low, which would have helped balance things out if I weren't eating there for a working lunch. If you have an appetite for destruction... or booze... then give them a try. Just be sure to ask for a side of jalapenos to spice things up and you'll be fine.

Food was bland, service was ok, they were short handed so it was not really a good experience. I would not recommend eating there unless you have no taste buds!

The food is your typical Eugene Mexican food; bland and not authentic. I ordered the beef taquito and chicken enchilada combo plate. The rice tasted like Rice-a-Roni and the enchilada sauce reminded me of Old El Paso sauce out of a can. It was so salty! Neither my chicken or beef had any flavor. I've made tastier, more authentic Mexican food at home! I definitely will not be coming back!

Went here for lunch today. Amazing food, great service! I am very picky on the chips and salsa. No complaints here.

I love this place precisely because it is not very spicy. If you have a need for some extreme spice in your Mexican food, this is not the place. Good portions, good drinks (as has been outlined here numerous times). However the wait times are horrific. Everytime I have been here we have to wait at least 30 min for our food after ordering. While this is a good place, I would suggest going with people you really want to have some time to chat with. I would not try and come here if you need anything quickly.

Okay, not the best Mexican food in Eugene, but not bad either. Friendly service. Good for families. The shredded beef enchiladas are good, chicken tamales were lacking flavor. And I was disappointed with the Pina Colada. Good and unlimited chips and salsa, so that's good. Anyone know where the best Mexican food is in Eugene?

Waitress a little lackluster, food good, larger portions.. we usually take home some for another meal. The new complimentary dessert is very good, and got the extra star. My recommendation: The Mazatlan, it has guacamole included. One of the best Mexican (if not the best) restaurants in Eugene.

My family and I love this place and go here whenever I come back into town. Before college it was a regular friday night dinner spot for us. We love the staff, they are always quick and friendly. Also, it isn't overly crowded. They have great salsa but if you want more heat just ask for the hotter salsa which they make special :) All the food is good and they are always willing to accommodate!

Cheap-o but not great margaritas. The food was large portions, but not that great and kind of spendy. Not eager to go back.

This is our regular Mexican restaurant. Used to be because they had a low-carb menu. Alas, that's more or less gone, but they still carry a few relatively low-carb options. My husband and I share a margarita, but I let him have most of it. Yeah, right. The waitress knows us. We know her. Why haven't we asked her name? Shame on us for several years of eating the food and not getting her name. She must know ours from our debit card. Anyway, I like the place. The fare seems a bit less fat-laden than the average Mexican place, so we'll continue to make it "our" Mexican place.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
