Cheba Hut is hands down the best sandwich shop I've ever been to. I'm obsessed with their sandwiches and could honestly eat it every day. I'd recommend the Kali Mist but you honestly can't go wrong.

Really good "toasted" sub! It was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. I liked that I could get sprouts on my sandwich. I should have known with a name like Cheba Hut that it would be marijuana themed. No big deal for me but it was a little awkward with my two boys. Not a deal breaker though.

A bit pricey but pretty tasty and well... you gotta love the vibe ;) Vegetarian friendly and pretty healthy as well. Check it out!

Kind of a dive, mostly on the inside. Looks like a bunch if stoners decorated, which is okay cause it's part of the experience. Huge menu for a sandwich place. Different varieties of sandwiches with weed names. It can be a bit overwhelming at first because you don't want to suave there like a dumbass forever. The staff can direct you to sandwiches you might like. There are three sizes; nug (4 inches), pinner (8 inches), blunt (12 inches). You can add a bag of chips and a drink as well as a variety of extra toppings. There are usually two or three tables with customers, and one or two that are still dirty from the previous diners. Food is usually pretty fast. They are just sandwiches so they shouldn't really take very long. They are usually pretty full. I ordered the Humbolt this time. It was a little thinner than usual and was missing the sprouts. It still filled me up though! You bus your own tables. Basically you just dump your basket on the way out. The bathrooms are a bit intimidating. They are in a back hallway that connects with The Cannery next door and at the end is a door to the outside. It's kinda shady back there. If it weren't for the camera, I'm sure you could smoke a blunt and get back in time for your food. A little over priced.

Get the 5.0 on Garlic Herb bread. You wont be disappointed... This place is the best Toasted Sub on the planet. Still get a smile when I see they have kool aid here also. Every time I go here the service is amazing. If you like Pot theme things or you don't like pot themed things, it makes no difference at this sandwich place because the food is what we are all after, and this place knocks it out of the park for toasted subs.

Easily the best sandwich shop in Eugene. Everyone that works there is super friendly as well. I recommend the Kali mist or just ask whoever is working at the time what their favorite is.

I liked the sandwich. The ham was a bit salty and toasted bread always tears up my mouth but that is ok. I did think it's not the best Italian sandie so I'm going with a 4. Service was outstanding!

Very good sandwiches. Good variety of sandwiches and toppings. Employees are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service.

I was not happy with my sandwich, I ordered the pakalolo sandwich. Pakalolo means marijuana in the Hawaiian language. You bet there was pineapple on the pakalolo toasted sub. Guess what? There was NO pineapple on my pakalolo sandwich. Wtf? How do you screw that up. My hubby liked his kali mist sub I might add. I called it in and then had to wait in one long line because they only had 1 register opened. The slow staff felt the need to ask every person in line what they were up to ... Blah blah. Slow as hell they need to pick up the pace and be accurate.

I should state first that I have only ever ordered Cheba Hut via delivery. I've never actually been in to their shop. I should also say that I HATE talking on the phone, ESPECIALLY to order food. Cheba Hut has restored my faith in ordering delivery. The folks who take delivery orders are, to a person, friendly, helpful, and efficient. The last time I called, the person I spoke with told me that I could have the sandwich order I always get (blunt Kali Mist, with field greens, and extra chipotle sauce, which, by the way, is AMAZING) listed as "the usual" in their system, so that I could just ask for that, and not bother about spelling everything out each time. This alone, for me, would get them 3 stars (at least...seriously, ordering take-out is excruciating for me), but their sandwiches are excellent, with fresh bread, fresh ingredients, and thoughtful, creative combinations. Plus, there is nothing better than a sandwich someone else has made for you that gets driven to your house. And the delivery drivers are just as friendly!

I was just sittin back with my friends while they enjoyed their sandwiches and some fat fuck with a big red beard with his crew from the weed convention (OMMBC) decided to bitch about his sandwich for the second time and was totally disrespectful to the guy at the front. He did a great job trying to de-escalate the situation. Mean while the beard guy's friends felt the need to tell us that they make more money then us because we asked them if they have ever worked in customer service. Way to set the tone with the public that this need weed business is going to be positive. I will always go and eat there love the atmosphere and all the employees.

I love the sandwiches here. I usually get the ham sandwich with pineapple and honey mustard. I would never get this sort of sandwich anywhere else but it's just to die for here. I really like how they have a variety of sizes. I get the smallest size if I'm trying to watch my weight. This place is a must try for anyone who likes deli sandwiches! If you prefer an 8" sandwich, I would recommend getting 2 of the smaller so you can taste a couple to find your favorite.

I have been to Cheba Hut a million times and it's always top of mind if I want a sandwich. The chipotle mayo is awesome!! I have some of my favorites, the Five O, Jamaican Red and Midwest's Best are all fine sandwiches and the bread here makes the sandwich. The folks who work here are awesome, they recognize you and remember your name and you can tell they are always trying to bust ass to get the food out quick. Definitely worth your while to stop in here and explore the sandwiches.

  • Mark E.

Cheba Hut is okay, just a little overpriced and not the best atmosphere. The White Widow was a good sandwich, if it wouldn't have been so expensive for a pretty basic sandwich! It was way too loud and the employees were not very friendly. The man that I ordered from was almost rushing me to make a decision on which sandwich I wanted, and being rushed is never a good experience.

I have never been to a cheba hut. I was getting pretty hangry (hungry angry) and came here for a sandwich. And let me tell you it was dank. The people were super nice and they play good music...if I lived here id come here all the time. Very good vibes guys.

Sitting in my office hungry, eating a boring apple for lunch and thinking I need to pack more snacks.... Then this nice young man walks in the door with samples of some of their hot toasty sub sandwiches! Delicious on a rainy day! How nice!!! I will be by soon for more or have you deliver it down the street to my office (I saw you deliver!). That was great! Thanks for brightening my afternoon!!

Great food and service, awesome vibe in terms of decor and music, and super friendly staff. Awesome local sandwich shop, I'm glad I went here instead of Togo's.

This place is awesome. Love all the selections, great customer service, pretty fast and yummy homemade treats. Definitely going to be obese from this joint!

Excellent sandwiches with silly names which are mostly entendres on marijuana drug culture. Open late on weekends. Good food. Good prices. Was jammed with college kids when I went on apparently 2 for 1 night soon after winter break and the drink selection was a bit thin. But take out is a fine option.

  • Vada D.

These subs are so good. Veggies are fresh. Bread is tasty and gets nice and toasty. Great variety and good selection of condiments and toppings. Their staff is always friendly, even when they're clearly busy. Usually the food comes out really quickly, but expect a wait on student discount night (Mondays). Pick up one of their loyalty punch cards to earn free subs. They run daily specials, check the board inside the door.

  • Camila R.

I had heard mixed reviews about this place, and I'm happy to say I was pleasantly surprised. First off, the staff was super friendly and willing to help us out on choosing a sandwich which was awesome. The sandwich selection was great-lots of veggies (coming from a vegetarian). I ordered the Silver Haze, but instead of hummus I was suggested to try the artichoke spread. My boyfriend got the AK-47 (French dip). We both added veggies and sauces and both got the garlic bread. It was delicious! The subs were toasted perfectly, the artichoke spread was delicious, and the veggies were great. I definitely plan on going back, especially cause I don't know of many great sandwich places in the area.

Totally awesome cultural landmark of Eugene. Enjoy your weed themed sandwiches and munchies snacks, whether you partake in marijuana or not! The Thai Stick is by far the yummiest sandwich on the menu in my humble opinion, paired with some jalapeño chips and a rice krispie treat, you can't go wrong. They also deliver - which is totally awesome.. but be prepared for a really slow delivery because all their employees are, well, stoned.

  • Amy B.

The only place in Eugene where I can order a Nug of Dank "legally" lol. Great sandwiches with fun names and other sweet munchies. Great service, friendly workers, will defiantly return!

    (4)
  • Jake G.

Awesome subs. We stopped on a road trip and it was so good that we went out of our way to stop there again on the way home. Tons of options for meats, veggies, and sauces. The guys working there did a great job helping us find a great sub.

    (5)
  • Jim P.

Chiba hut is a good sandwich shop so far. I've only had one sub, but it was really tasty. I had the afghani. A turkey sub with jalapenos. For me, a good sandwich is because of the bread. I had their garlic bread for mine and it was really great. Honestly, I could do without the pot references for their foods, but I can get over that because it was a good sandwich shop. I'm pretty tired of subway and places like that. I'd love to find a good Eugene Deli though.

  • Matthew S.

Incredible service, super friendly every time. The bread is awesome and fresh, as are the sandwich ingredients. Can't think of what they could be doing better.

Awesome sandwiches. Good anytime. My favorite is the La Canna, everything on it. Really good. The parking sucks though.

The Cheba Hut... why did I only ever go there when I was stoned? The atmosphere is so corny. Or, weed-y. Bob Marley and other pothead icons are throned in tapestries and, I mean, it's pretty obvious, but the sandwiches are all named after... marijuana strains. The sandwich sizes refer to marijuana smoking methods. It's so dorky. I get that it's a chain, I really do. This location is not to blame. And it's cute that their theme is so easily manifested. The employees never messed up my order - well, maybe a couple times they didn't hear me quite properly, but they were kind about it. The product was my issue. I made it a point to order in normal-speak... a 6'' turkey or something, instead of using their terminology. I wanted to be better than the Cheba Hut. But the sandwiches are honestly not that great. They do take a minute to arrive, and on principle aren't terrible. They're just boring. Like Subway-level boring. Half-assed lettuce, maybe some condiments, and ho-hum meat and cheese. The cheesy bread is awesome, but keep in mind that it's literally bread with cheese melted on it and some marinara sauce on the side. "Toasted" subs. I get it.

Let me start by saying that when this place gets things right they make a great sandwich and the pretzel bites are good. BUT they rarely have gotten my wife's or my orders right, or they're out of something. It's frustrating when you get home and open your sandwich to see that it's lacking something. Not only that but my wife and I ordered the pretzel bites and after we paid they said they were out of them so they said instead of refunding us they'd make a note and we could get them free next time we came in. Well it was a little over a month till we came in again and I brought this up and the guy said they throw those notes away after a month (would have been nice to know), and he couldn't give them to us for free. What a joke. I keep coming in hoping it will get it right and be better, but I think this is our last time.

Very nice sandwich place in the university district in Eugene. Great college bar laid back atmosphere. Great service. I got the white widow. Get the garlic bread very tasty option. Loads of fresh veggies and great taste overall. The banana peppers pack a punch so be aware while adding them. Great pitstop if you're passing thru Eugene.

Funny "joint." The sandwiches were good and the service was decent. If you're hungry and need a quick bite, this place should satiate your munchies ;)

I've lived in Eugene my whole life and just tried Cheba Hut today for the first time. I'm so disappointed in myself for waiting 24 years! It was SO good! I ordered the "dank" which is their pizza sub. I took my first bite and was blown away by how delicious it was! Definitely recommend x100.

  • Natalie M.

Hands down my favorite sandwich shop. The employees are ALWAYS friendly and more than knowledgeable about the menu options and items. I love walking in the door as I am always greeted with happy faces and smiles. The different sandwich options you have to choose from makes ordering something delicious every time, a guarantee. There are also delicious drink options as well, to quench your thirst. And of course, I must say, I love the specific originality of the whole establishment. I.e. The relation to cannabis. It's light hearted and fun.

  • Jason C.

I ordered a sandwich with all veggies, except jalapeños. I got delivered a bun with some chicken, hot sauce and jalapeños. I called to get a replacement, and the guy on the phone was cussing and saying how I screwed up my own order. Oh and to top it off my number got "blacklisted". Expect very unprofessional service

    (1)
  • John L.

Expect poor service. I just went there for my first (and last) time and was overcharged for my beer and then my sandwich came out swimming in mustard and mayo, when I had asked for no mustard and only a little mayo. At least I got my money back.

This is so far the best deal on warmed subs that I have found. Their garlic herb bread was nice a had a little crunch. The large sammy is actually 12 inches. Price is comparable to Jimmy Johns which is an 8 inch and cold. This place does deliver, but its not as fast as JJs. First sub was an Italian on Garlic/Herb bread. It was scrumptious. Nice crunch too. The sandwich was very tasty and filling. My second sammy was a Pizza Sub. It was also good, but not as meat filled. Pizza sub had a spicy marinara sauce with pepperoni, lettuce and tomato, onions. Good, but not great. Anticipating my next visit.

It almost isn't worth writing a review, i mean... do see see all the stars on others?? That is pretty clear that this is a great place to eat. I live in Washington now, but i was born an raised in Eugene. I come back a few times a month and make sure that i always go to Cheba Hut. Its outstanding, and most of the long time employee's know who i am, I've been a loyal customer since the beginning. Not once have i had a bad experience. They are all friendly, and easy going. Their food is unmatched in the sammy department. I have yet to find something better, or comparable for that matter. I get the AK-47 on garlic herb with lettuce, tomato, pickle, mushroom, olive, onion, little bit of mayo, parm oregano, salt and pepper. Hands down the best sub there! Only thing i think sucks is the parking :/ pretty sure even the employee's can agree on that one, and it isnt their fault, its just the way it is. And guys- where did the punch cards go??? Hello! I miss those!

Great food everytime! Whenever there have been mistakes they fix it or offer credit for next time. Super friendly staff is one of the best parts of this place

Cool sandwich shack in Eugene! The vibes in here are great and who else wouldn't love a place called cheba hut? If only you could actually get your sub with an eighth at this place. Awesome paintings/artwork, cool decorations and Quick service! Next time I'll come during their happy hour (4:20pm) lol and get some brew too

Amazing Sandwiches & Great employees. They really play up the weed thing which is fine as a theme. Especially in Eugene haha. My Fave - The 5-0 (Dank Size)

  • Mike H.

Cheba hut, Cheba hut, can't be beat. It's got blunts and joints and they're all so sweet. Grab a cup of kool-aid and rest your feet, cause they bring your sandwich right to your seat. Personally, I think Cheba hut and Jimmy Johns should meet, combining those two sandwich shops would be quite a treat. Midwest best is my jam.

  • David H.

Best sandwich shop in town. Great selection, really friendly employees, and super fresh, homemade ingredients. Their bread is amazing. Also, their cookies and brownies are always super fresh.

  • Courtney C.

This food is so delicious. Doesn't matter what you get, it's soooo good! Great price ! The baked goods are also amazing. I recommend the captain crunch munchie. I mean it when I say any of the subs are great. Staff is super friendly and the location is great as well. This place is a must see if you are a tourist - lots of art to see here and it's very unique to Eugene. My one and only complaint- on April 20 (any year) they get everyone's order wrong, I swear. My vegetarian friend found a meat lover sub in our bag once we finally got home! but they were really great about fixing the problem and let us meat eaters keep that extra sub too!

    (5)
  • Don B.

I thought this place was going to be a gimmicky piece of shit like Dutch Brothers. I was wrong! I'm convinced this is one of the top locations in this pathetic town to get a decent sub. Do yourself a favor and take a trip to the hut. I recommend dining in, unless you're having a severe anxiety attack after taking a rip off a Manute Bol.

  • Holly N.

White widow on garlic bread with guacamole! we drive 2 hours just to eat here! The staff is super friendly, there is a nice beer selection, tons of great options on the menu and there is always plenty of cool things to look at on the wall while you are waiting for the delicious food. The sandwiches are huge and I always take half home for later. P.s - there's a Kool aide dispenser!!

  • Kali O.

I was pretty nervous to come in here because it's obviously a stoner munchie joint and I am just not cool enough for that. I also thought maybe the doritos and kool-aid on their menu indicated that quality was not a priority. I ordered the Kali Mist, figuring I should start with my name-sake, the guy behind the counter also mentioned it was their best seller. Turkey bacon, avocado with chipotle mayo, jalapenos and pepperjack. Spicy? Bacon? Sold. The tomato, cucumber and spring mix I added tasted very fresh and the bread was warm and crunchy and fluffy and garlicky. Service to go was quick, packaging minimal, and the guys working were nice. And probably stoned, but hey, I don't judge. All in the name of a good sandwich. I also like that you can get a 4 inch, becuase it was 3 pm and I just needed a lil somethin. I am lookinf forward to going back and trying their Dank (pizza) and their Chronic (BBQ beef) and their selection of munchie worthy desserts. Hit the spot, thanks guys.

love the funny names of the sandwiches the white widow with grilled chicken and ranch is the best sammy i have had there grab some blunts, kool-aid, and some friends get to cheba hut

Fresh vegetables on the subs and lots of them. Not enough meat. A bit pricey. Friendly service. The Thai chicken had a weird-tasting and altogether too salty sauce on it.

  • Brandy C.

Whut Whut in the Cheba Hut?! I hate that I love this place. Parking is terrible- you either have to park across the street at a meter (if you can find one available), in the back where they are narrow and scarce (goodbye, paint job!), or in the pay-lot next door (extortion!) The interior is run down and sketch. There are literally chunks taken out of the floor. How does that even happen? Ceiling tiles are discolored, the lighting is nil, the women's bathroom is clean, but looks like something out of Saw. Neighbors are a pub or Dutch Bros., and Cheba Hut appears to be open quite late. The decor is, naturally, marijuana-themed, and clientele when I've visited is the group of frat boys you'd expect. Not that this is a bad thing in itself, but the language and conversation topics overheard are not for the faint of heart. In short, this is not a "family" place. I also had a hard time explaining some of the cartoons to my bug-eyed 10-year old. (They have cartoon characters graphically boning on a plaque that reads "PORN" over the door to the kitchen.) The music volume can get out of control, too, depending on the staffs' moods, and music selection ranges from reggae to metal. I'm thankful they have delivery because their sandwiches are so damn good! The customer service here seriously cannot be beat. Every person I've dealt with has been bubbly, helpful, energetic and someone I would gladly trust with my food. Ohh.. and the food! Veggies are cold, crisp and fresh!! Tomatoes in winter are obviously hothouse, and they make no pretense of ordering organic, but sprouts, people- SPROUTS! And REAL avocado- not fakie avocado-flavored-mash. I usually get the White Widow, which is basically a chicken, bacon, ranch delicious mess. I'm not especially happy that they marinate the chicken in chili. Depending on the day, it can be too spicy to eat and there are no alternatives- if you get something with chicken, it's going to be marinated like this, which is not advertised. My husband digs the Pakalolo- ham, pineapple, cheese. SO GOOD! Cheba Hut offers house-made treats such as Rice Krispy bars, Goo balls, and an assortment of cookies, which they will even heat up for you. it's a pity the food is so good. I have so many friends I would love to take who just wouldn't be into the theme or atmosphere, but such is life. Cheba on, my friends!

  • Dixie N.

This place has never done me wrong. The Thai Stick is my favorite. Good bread, friendly servers, and the veggies are fresh. They've never over sauced my sandwich so I'm left with a soggy mess. Definitely the place to go if you're looking for a sub.

    (5)
  • Amanda D.

They have the best sandwiches in Eugene! Very consistent and always very friendly staff. The special is a great price for a sandwich, chips and a drink!

I have been on a serious Cheba Hut kick lately, ever since discovering The Dank toasted sub. The Dank is a glorious pizza sub (marinara, cheese, salami & pepperoni, veggies) that satisfies my regular craving for the flavors of pizza without the price (and guilt of eating) an entire pie. Trust me when I say to order your Dankness on garlic bread with bacon AND avocado - you can thank me later. If you're having an intense case of the munchies (or drunchies) as I often do late at night, try ordering one of their chocolate chip cookies as well. This cookie closely rivals the popular Dough Co cookie. I promise. The Cheba Hut sandwich engineers are friendly, hilarious (we probably all know why that is), and offer speedy service. My most recent delivery order arrived in less than 30 minutes.

  • Jamie N.

Delicious!!! We got sandwiches and salads, pretzel nuggets, and goo balls. The toasted breads are amazing. Great prices. Nice atmosphere. Cool decor. If you're in Eugene u should definitely eat here.

  • Jay P.

I have been here before and again the sandwich was great and tasty. I got the Midwest with their herb and garlic bread. It is amazing. The staff are friendly and talkative and proud of there product which is good to see.

  • Jordyn B.

Pretty funny gimmick! Everything is named after/related to a Eugene favorite: the good old marijuana. Lol. Pinners, blunts, kush, and dank. Plenty of vegetarian options too! Tried the Silver Haze on the signature garlic bread. SO good. Really worth the trip and especially worth checking it out because it's a unique little local place in this fun college town. I would definitely go again!

It has taken then over two hours to pic up I am pissed that they will not pic up the phone I give them one star to day it's sad the owner lives on same street as I do and I can get any service

  • Cassidy C.

I love this place! All the food is awesome, my fave being the Ak-47 (french dip). All the food is based off weed types, strains and slang names. For all you uptight yuppies who forgot you experimented too, its just a theme and definitely a place worth trying. I don't usually stay to eat there bc its kind of muggy and dark inside but the outside seating is great.

    (4)
  • Ana L.

Omg there sandwiches are like no other, good healthy ingredients, great flavor...sub names rock...staff ubber friendly. GRIEFO is the best sub!!!!!!

  • Joe B.

I started to get a little bit paranoid when I walked in to satisfy my munchies. I felt like everyone was staring at me and they could tell I don't smoke pot. (nothing against people who do, just doesn't work for me chemically) I was FREAKING OUT, MAN! I don't know where I got the impression that this is a pot smoker's lunch destination. There's not even a hint in the place at all that that's the case. ;-) Great sandwiches, lots of options, great prices, friendly service, I'd stop back again and again if I lived in The Euge. Even if they're all watching me. ;-)

We ventured into the Cheba Hut during their grand opening last weekend. There was a mile-long line, but it moved quickly and the staff was unbelievably friendly considering how many kids they were dealing with. We ordered several "nugs" to try out the offerings: The Humboldlt, with garlic cream cheese and guac was my fave. We also got the Magic Mushroom (portabellas that I expected to be grilled, but were raw and tasty, nonetheless), another guac type veggies sandwhich, and a turkey/bacon nug. They offer tons of veggies in the assembly line, as well as some house made condiments like chipotle mayo and honey mustard. The bread was tasty and there were many options for that, as well. My only complaint was that they weren't particulary warm after the assembly process. All in all, a fun little place. Cool artwork and interesting reading material scattered about. I'll drink their Kool-Aid (literally).

    (3)
  • Dave W.

A pretty happenin' place with friendly crew. I thought the menu was pretty veg-friendly in addition to the standard meat sub fare. I had the magic mushroom sub. I thought the helpings were very generous for the price. I liked the bread and ingredients. However, the sauces were very salty. Maybe it was a bad batch or something. I also thought the portabello mushrooms would have been MUCH better if they were sauteed or grilled before going into the sandwich. Overall, the food didn't blow me away, but I'll try them again.

Never thought i would buy an Egg salad sandwich from a restaraunt, but the Skunk is... Bomb! Great sandwiches and some of the nicest staff, you are always greeted with a smile and great attitude.

The first thing I have to say is I LOVE THEIR BREAD!!! What a cool little place. I know they have them other places because my wife went to one in Arizona a few years back. It has a great and fun atmosphere and you always feel welcome. I just moved here a few moths ago but have been here more than any other place in town. Who needs a $5 footlong from Subway when you can get a kick ass sandwich here! In fact I think we'll go back tonight :)

  • Akemi N.

This place is without a doubt my favorite sandwich shop on Eugene. I'll admit that I probably eat here more often than I should but they make an amazing sandwich and deliver to your door for free! Enough said.

  • Nicole Y.

Best sub shop in town!!!! Love it!

    (5)
  • Antonio O.

Food with names that are pot references? Sure that's stupid. But the sandwiches are not. Pizza sub was great! Have yet to have anything else. Not going to util I am sick of pizza subs and that won't be anytime soon. But going back for more for sure. Walking distance from my house and next to the Bier Stein means drinks and hot sammiches.

A-OK. It is! This is not a 3 star "indictment" that you commonly see on yelp where someone will say one good thing about the place and then follow it up with several negatives. Summed up: they are chain restaurant that exist in six somewhat random states (check out their locations on their site - odd) which offer subs ~$1 over what I'm willing to call fair value. The Sub: The bread is markedly more substantial than subway in quality and density, that said, the bread when toasted, as all their subs are, is pretty sturdy; unpleasant to get a bite that yields full cross-section. This is likely a scenario where the restaurant has best intentions at heart but yields a result that is an abrupt change to what your average American has been conditioned to expect (I'm not ignorant to what I just implied...) The toppings were quality - especially the chicken and the (likely Vlasic) pickle spears. Quality above Big Town. The proportion of the ingredients could use some finesse work; I think they could use less bread and have people walk out even more satisfied if their sandwich was just easier to eat. The fast food sub giants understand this - it is no fluke nor phenomenon to be brushed aside. The ambiance: It's a themed restaurant. If your kid is a tween and you feel like counter-culture adverts aren't appropriate, then you're a controlling parent, and should realize you're doing more damage displaying your fear of a culture to your offspring than you are being an adult about it. I suspect the workers know the stereotype that the store displays, and delight in representing a positive face for the genre - these guys defy the old stereotypes, but fit right in with the "aware," "accommodating," and "accessible" ones you can get from the young breed - I had 5 mins to catch a bus; let them know and my sub was rushed out for me. Good guys. They market themselves in-store over-the-top pretty heavily, which makes me cringe, but at its core, Cheba Hut's intentions are good. OK for satisfying a need when in the area, but not a destination.

Great service. Amazing food. Bread is delish. Glad we came. The Reuben is bomb. The bread just knocks subway out of the water!!! Everything was fresh the people were soooooooo nice. Worth a stop if Ur local even if you're not. Go try them out!

Delicious! Great customer service. The decor is over the top and the music is so loud I struggled to hear the sandwhich artist ask me what veggies I wanted, but my ruben was fantastic! TIP: I got an eight-incher and could only eat half, they pile the sandwhich with fillings so go small.

While I wanted to really like this place the sandwich was just good, I've made better at home myself. Great variety and funny names for sandwiches which fit Eugene well. I would go back but not very often.

Cheba Hut offers a wickedly tasty sandwich at a good value - $8 for a 12" (blunt) sandwich that is incomparable to the major chains. The quality of the ingredients, the crunchy soft bread and tasty combinations make this one of the best sandwich shops around. Cheba Hutbeliever has severalthe unique flairs such as local beers and two flavors of Kool-aid on tap. My favorite Cheba is The Five-0 as it is complete meaty magic but I understand that The Skunk is an egg salad sandwich that will make you a believer. Great sandwich, good value, super friendly staff and unique Eugenian atmosphere.

Awesome sandwiches. Good anytime. My favorite is the La Canna, everything on it. Really good. The parking sucks though.

Amazing Sandwiches & Great employees. They really play up the weed thing which is fine as a theme. Especially in Eugene haha. My Fave - The 5-0 (Dank Size)

This place has never done me wrong. The Thai Stick is my favorite. Good bread, friendly servers, and the veggies are fresh. They've never over sauced my sandwich so I'm left with a soggy mess. Definitely the place to go if you're looking for a sub.

I have been here before and again the sandwich was great and tasty. I got the Midwest with their herb and garlic bread. It is amazing. The staff are friendly and talkative and proud of there product which is good to see.

Fresh vegetables on the subs and lots of them. Not enough meat. A bit pricey. Friendly service. The Thai chicken had a weird-tasting and altogether too salty sauce on it.

  • Monica L.

Awesome subs. We stopped on a road trip and it was so good that we went out of our way to stop there again on the way home. Tons of options for meats, veggies, and sauces. The guys working there did a great job helping us find a great sub.

Really good sandwiches, cheap beer, and super, ridiculously friendly staff. Like really friendly, without being overly annoying like Dutch Bros. Well done guys!

This place is without a doubt my favorite sandwich shop on Eugene. I'll admit that I probably eat here more often than I should but they make an amazing sandwich and deliver to your door for free! Enough said.
