Chain restaurant. Basically an upscale Taco Bell, if that isn't the mother of all oxymorons. Not real Mexican, nor real, nor Mexican...nor even real food.

I've only eaten here once, but I wasn't really impressed. I thought they were a little expensive. Baja Fresh is one of those fast-casual Mexican restaurants, similar to Mucho Gusto (which is almost across the street, in Oakway Mall). I wouldn't eat here again unless I was with someone who really wanted to eat here. I hope Chipotle Mexican Grille decides to build in Eugene soon.

this place satisfies my taco jones on days when i'm running errands at oakway center. the sterility aspect of it being a chain is a bit of a turn off, but when you're looking to grab a quick bite, does it really matter?? i say no. this location has a groovy outdoor seating area complete with water feature. very relaxing. the only thing i've ever been truly disappointed in here were the sides. the beans are watery, the rice can be over-cooked, and they're both pretty flavorless. good thing there's a salsa bar where i can add tons of lime and cilantro to everything. also the guac is yuummmmmyyyy...

Ate there twice over the last two weeks. I live in Southern Oregon, so we don't have a Baja Fresh any closer than this...This is just like any other place - decent food, a bit pricey, but consistently good. I am a fan.

The only reason I go to Baja Fresh is for the fish tacos. Fried fish, cabbage, pico de gallo, tangy sauce, it's bliss! You get a discount (and guacamole for your chips) if you order three. If it's a burrito you're craving, go somewhere else.

The parking situation sucks. Otherwise I found this to be a refreshing alternative to Taco Smell's dogfood. I get the huge burrito and have enougb for 2 meals for $7 and it Tastes Good! My friend orders a combo plate and he's happy with how much he gets as well as the taste. This is not an authentic Mexican place but then again, we're not looking for authentic Mexican food when we go there. If that's fine with you it will be worth your while to go to Baja Fresh. Service is good at the Eugene one but the one I ate at in Santa Rosa CA was manned by retards. Your mileage may vary. Did I say the parking situation sucked? It's the worst I've ever seen for a fast food joint and Baja Fresh should relocate their Eugene place of business as they are running off business with that sucky parking setup including ours. If they were easy in/easy out with no muss or fuss, we'd be back.

Love their fresh shrimp and fish tacos and the chipolte chicken salad with the mango salsa is fantastic. On a cold day the chicken tortilla soup is very meaty and tasty with large chunks of avacado. When we have had folks over and ordered food to bring home everything is packed great and we love the convenience. Salsa bar and guacamole are our favorite and every meal tastes different because of the variety of salsas.

Please find real mexican food next time you have a burrito or taco craving. This crap isn't worth it on so many levels. This place caters towards gringos who are crazing mexican food... no authenticity and no unique flavors

I have tried this Baja Fresh four times now. I don't know if it's just this Baja Fresh, but I can't seem to find a good this year. I have gone to several Baja Fresh is before and got great fish tacos. This Baja Fresh on the other hand does not have great fish tacos. It is very inconsistent. I do enjoy the salsa bar here when the salsa is fresh, but when it has been sitting out for a while it doesn't seem to taste the same.

Mexicans make the food. It was fresh and I got free chips. I got 4 shrimp in my taco so I'm giving it 4 stars. Chipotle had a really long line. I will be back.

It was like pins and needles dragging my husband into Baja Fresh while we waited from my battery to be put into my car at Batteries Plus. The food: Is it real mexican cuisine? NO. Was the food tasty? Yes Tostada salad: I had the tostada salad with Chicken. The Chicken was nice. I was expecting faux chicken. So I was nicely surprised by the real chicken breast that was on my salad. Diablo's Burrito: My hubby had the Diablo's Burrito, and even tho I had to push to get him in there, he was happy with his meal. The pork was chunky and he really liked the flavor. The Salsa: Let's just be honest; it needs some serious help. Nothing should be labeled SPICY or HOT when it has NO EFFECT to your mouth, spicy or flavor wise. All in all: Will we be back? Maybe, but I am not sure. It was nice to try it but there are so many REALLY GOOD restaurants in that location that I'd rather eat at.

Love Baja Fresh- for the first few years I ate the Tostada with steak every time . Finally tried the Baja Bowls - I love the shrimp. - juicy & smoky-grill flavor! Yum! Love the hot roasted salsa! Recently tried a steak burrito Ultimo- blown away by how great the tortilla itself tasted. Delicious! For the price, the tasty food & always good service it's hard to beat & I love the salsa bar.

Baja fresh is a great deal if you are in need of a lot of food(get a burrito). Their food is fresh and you can have as many chips as you want along with an open salsa bar. Here in Oregon you dont see open salsa bars that often, plus their salsa is good. I dont understand why there are so many haters of it here in Eugene but Baja Fresh has built up a good reputation for themselves ever since they opened. Service is always great and the food comes out quick. If you like burritos get the Nacho Burrito, its a simple burrito, pretty nice size and you can top it off with all the different kinds of salsa you have available. Also, Chipotle's burrito contents sit in the warming trays while baja fresh throws it on when you place an order

Food looked great and tasted very fresh (imagine that). I had one shrimp and one steak taco and a salad. The cilantro ranch is BOMB. Some of the freshest, healthiest and tastiest Mexican fast food ever! Love the black beans, grilled fish, chicken and steak options, and the avocado! Counter service but friendly. Several condiments to choose from and lots of iced tea / non-soda options. If you care about your health and like to keep your taste buds and tummy happy, this is your place. Baja Fresh is a great place to grab a quick bite or stay, eat your meal slowly, & relax in their outdoor patio area. I become a sucker for Baja Fresh the second I see one of their $5 off coupons in the mail. Suddenly, I am too lazy to cook and fast food burritos don't sound half bad. Baja Fresh also doesn't always keep to their posted hours, which is plenty annoying.

I usually don't become a fan of a chain restaurant given all the wonderful local restaurants we have, but Baja Fresh does a great job. I love that they offer grilled veggies in their burritos as well as grilled fish and shrimp. I have lunch here about once a week, and the staff always remembers me. They are all friendly and fast. I have always found the ingredients to be high quality and tasty. They have many low calorie options which makes it easy to eat a light and healthy lunch. Their burritos are big so I always ask them to cut it in half for sharing. I've had several of their menu items and like everything I've tried. The parking lot sucks a whole lot so walk here if you are in the area.

I truly enjoy the menu. I love the fish tacos. I enjoy the beans, even though others seem to frown on them. The only downer is that my boyfriend hates going here & he hates cilantro. The other people's reviews seem spot on (re parking especially). Often, I find myself parking in the area for another store - easy if the other store is closed - or I park in the overflow area. It's good for groups if you all arrive in the same car, lol! The parking is way too squeezed in. One more thing: I wish the tomato in the salsa was consistently fresh. Then, Baja Fresh would be perfect. But it would be a stretch to give it a five when you have to get up to fetch your own food. So fresher tomatoes would make it a super 4.5!

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
