Chicken fried steak and eggs were excellent. Especially that it appeared that the streak was grill fried and not dropped into a deep fryer. The biscuits were very large and fluffy *while the gravy that went on top was very tasty. The blonde had a chili omelette which she thought was okay but the chili needed more taste And she asked for green peppers, onions and cheese which was scarce... Would definitely go back to try some other items but not the chili omelette. Maybe the biscuits and gravy.

Sharon's cafe has great breakfast and a friendly staff. Prices are very reasonable for the large amount of food you get. Never have had a bad experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great family ran breakfast cafe!

I've tried to dine at Sharon's restaurant a few times this past year but cannot get a table or I am told that there will be an hour wait on food. I've tried dining here both on Saturday and Sunday mornings, sometimes before 9am and sometimes after 12pm. They need to hire more staff.

Probably one of the best kept secrets in Corvallis. AND they just added booze to the menu! I got a classic two egg breakfast with gravy to put on my hashbrowns. They menu is big and if you have a hard time choosing something you can always get a skillet. The service is great with bottomless refills on coffee. This place feels like home and is a wonderful breakfast joint.

Slowest food ever. Even when its not busy.

Had Sunday brunch with a group of friends about a month ago and had a tasty chicken fried steak with a fantastic peanut butter milkshake. Wife loved her cinnamon French toast. A little more expensive than I'd expect but helpings were so HUGE we could've easily split one plate. Looking forward to going again! Try the milkshakes and split it with a special someone. You'll be glad you did.

Great food. Very Busy at peak breakfast hours. They will tell you when taking your name for seating if the wait is 45+ it is worth it. Clean. Loud if wanting to visit. Service very nice.

Visited Tuesday, Oct. 9th party of 4... Wife and I visited a couple years back, that we brought our Adult daughters with us this time...and yes, Sharon's did not disappoint... I ordered the Monte Cristo special, wife ordered the Cinnamon Bread French Toast, one daughter ordered Corn Beef Hash and the other ordered an Ham Omelet. We we're all satisfied and content. The daughter that is a student at OSU will definitely be back with friends...

Didn't even get to the food. I had picked up coffee from my favorite local shop on the way to breakfast. First words out of the waitress' mouth was "you will have to take the coffee outside." I left and will most likely not be back. That was THE WORST restaurant first impression that I have ever had. They lost four would be customers today over a cup of coffee.

This used to be one of my favorite breakfast diners in Corvallis, but something has changed in the last few months. Today's experience was a nail in the coffin and I don't think I'll ever go back to Sharon's. The last two times I have tried to eat here, I have immediately been told that it will be a 45-minute wait for food after the order is taken. 45 minutes! This place does not make meringues or dutch babies, it is a mediocre American diner on its best day. The first time I was told it was going to be a 45-minute wait after the order, I decided to seek food elsewhere. Today, I figured that I didn't have anything better to do, so I told the waiter that the wait would be fine. Unfortunately, as I was waiting at the front of the diner to be seated, another customer came in and was immediately seated by a different waiter. When I asked the original waiter why the hell this customer (who ended up having three other patrons sit with him) was seated before us, all he answered was "Duh, I have no idea". Well, you just lost two customers, Sharon's. I am not sure if there have been changes in overall management or staff, but I believe that the wait times are due to this. I do know that the front of the house has been understaffed as there have been times I've eaten here and there was only one waiter running the show. I used to come to this place every other month for a nice weekend breakfast, but it seems that I can no longer get a timely meal at this place. It definitely isn't the kind of food that you must seek out and wait almost an hour for. I don't think Sharon's will be going out of business anytime soon (the place was pretty full at noon today) but they won't be getting any of my business for a long time.

Generic ol' fashion cafe. Has its fair share of the old gents that frequent it each morning for their cup-a-jo. The food is alright; the same you'd get at any American style restaurant not trying to be especially exceptional. I'd say prices are fair as well. Staff is amiable.

I was underwhelmed by the breakfast sampler. I was pretty amped to try the food here because I heard great things, but I was disappointed.

Easily a four star. But be prepared to take half of your scramble home with you. Only missing the fifth star because not all of us like overly peppered gravy.

Money!!! Skillet 3, so dank. Huge portions

So so so so so yummy. If you go on a "normal" morning like Saturday or Sunday, the waits can be awful. But oh my goodness is the food good. The biscuits and gravy are awesome. As for the "no options for vegetarian," it was my vegetarian boyfriend who initially introduced me to the place. He always got the skillet #5 that taco skillet without taco meat and with grilled mushrooms instead. They were always willing to accommodate.

First time going to Sharon's and this place is a great little breakfast joint. Your typical greasy spoon kind of place, but everything was fresh and homemade. Great for the kids too. A nice new addition to our Corvallis breakfast options. To me, this place blows the Broken Yolk out of the water.

My kind of place, my kind of food. No visible tattoos on wait staff Nice Gun store next door, they were very helpful.

Sharon's really does have the best breakfast around! They seem to be having a staffing issue lately (not enough wait staff) so wait times are long. But if you aren't in a hurry, this is an awesome place! When they're fully staffed, it's the best.

Service today was horrid, was told it would be a 20 minute wait when ordered food and got it in 45. Saw the waitress twice to order food and to get the food. Did not receive what we ordered and when we asked we were told that's not what we ordered because it wasn't written down. Overall, sad because usually they are so good.

If I could rate negative stars I would. While finishing our meal I noticed several glares and snarky looks from the servers. We came in with our very well trained and behaved Certified Service dog (it's illegal to turn service animals away) we ordered a side of food for our service animal and he ate from his own bowl that we provided for food and water. As we got up to pay one of the servers/owners very rudely attacked us, she starts telling us that it's illegal for our Service dog to be eating inside the restaurant- we looked it up and no such thing exists. After defending ourselves, she then raises her voice louder and continues to yell at us, she then calls my mother a Bitch. We kindly left and as were getting into our car one of the owners comes out and writes down our license plate number to report US. We did nothing wrong and were falsely accused of breaking a law. This is the worst service I've received and we are proceeding in filing a harassment and discrimination lawsuit against them for the way we were treated. I would advise anyone to stay away from this restaurant.

I'm giving three stars because Sharon's Cafe made food and we bought it. So they fulfilled our need and our servers were polite. But that's where the enjoyment of our experience ended. It took 45 minutes for my French toast and bacon to come out. And when it did, the bacon looked like it had been cooked the night before and reheated that day. My friend ordered one of the skillets, which for the record did not come out in a skillet and looked like a gross hodgepodge of the day's leftovers. On top of that, both me and my friend experienced a lot of GI discomfort about 30 minutes after we ate. Definitely not "the best breakfast in town" and definitely will not be going back.

This was my first time dining at Sharon's Cafe. My friend and I went on a Saturday at 11:45 a.m. It's a clean and simple diner, with country decor and an orange wall dedicated to OSU. Even though there was no one ahead of us waiting to be seated, the place was busy and we were told the food wait would be 30 minutes. We were quickly seated and promptly offered water and coffee. Our waitress was attentive and quickly took our order. We ordered a veggie omelette and a dinner salad & cup of chili. While we were waiting for our food, we were offered coffee and water refills on a regular basis. As it turns out, the food took 45 minutes to reach our table. The veggie omelette was small and was good, but not great. The dinner salad consisted of iceberg lettuce on a HOT PLATE with a plastic cup of salad dressing on the side. The chili was lukewarm, bland, and tasted like they forgot to put the spices in it. Although the wait staff is friendly, attentive and hard-working, the quality of the food offered needs some definite improvement. Prices were average for this type of restaurant. I most likely won't return.

Best breakfast in town for basic, delicious and wholesome American food. Sharon comes in at 3 AM to begin grating the potatoes that will become the most delicate, flavorful hashbrowns you will find outside of Portland or Berkeley. You won't find haute cuisine, but you will find the place that locals in the know love. Down home, friendly and an obvious love for folksy Americana artwork will keep you grinning, and you won't feel bad about paying the check, either.

Weak coffee, English muffin not toasted...just warmed, hash browns and eggs ok. Service on a Saturday morning was very slow! This is a no return for me.

  • Shan L.

Sharon's is a cute country diner. The decor definitely lends itself to a homey feel. The food was absolutely amazing; it was obvious they made the hash brows fresh from a potato that morning. I was in heaven. My problem was with the service. It took so long just to get a cup of coffee... I was hangry by the time the food finally arrived.

Best breakfast in town, service is good. Good food for the soul. Been there several times and with the family and had a great time. The best cinnamon roll I have ever tasted.

I've eaten breakfast here every time I visit my daughter in Corvallis. It's always been good and no long waits like downtown. Several months ago it changed hands, but that only meant it was passed down to the children of the owners. Everything was bumped up, including the service. home fries won't disappoint.

Sharon's Cafe is awesome whole in the wall. I ordered their chef choice omelet and it was filling! It had bell peppers, mushroom, sausage link, onions, cheese and potatoes! My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and eggs. It was so good! The gravy is amazing. Our waitress was superb! She ran the whole cafe by herself. This an awesome place for what it is. I gave it four stars due to the wait time for my meal. But it well priced for how much you get. Definitely coming back! Beware of their limited hours. They close at 1:30 pm!

This is a real, all-American cafe. By that I mean booths, tables, two counters, newspapers to read, coffee on, local art on the walls, and a waitress that call's me 'hon. If you need trendy, you might not like it unless you want to broaden your horizons. There will be a camo hat or a lady with a walker in the clientele. Some country music playing at a low level. Reminds me of Missouri, in a good way. Deal with it. Breakfast is great. That is if you like real hash-browns, and you're fine with jelly in the little plastic tubs; the cook knows what 'over easy' means, too. For lunch, I imagine you can't go wrong, I never have. Best Rueben sandwich in town, as far as I'm concerned. The other reviewer who didn't like it must have caught them on a bad day, maybe or was having one himself. Clean, unpretentious, good prices. Atmosphere is basic and economy. Yes, it is windowless, but hey - what would you be looking at anyway but the parking lot of a little strip mall...

Sharon's cafe is a darker establishment with lots of OSU gear. Service wasn't great and we ended up waiting for over 30 minutes for our food. The food itself was pretty good.

So happy that I asked a local where to get a good brunch. This please is NOT a greasy spoon, despise Its outward appearance. If you want home cooking - from scratch real food...hash browns, Ham n eggs, all the traditional breakfast fixings without trend, fusion and fan fare, well...Come here! Service was spot on and very friendly. Loved sitting at a counter for breakfast, felt like news in an episode of Mayberry RFD!!

Whenever we go out for breakfast together as a family, we come here. I always order the same thing: skillet number two with two eggs over easy and sourdough toast. It isn't uncommon for multiple family members to make this order too. Sometimes the waitress comes and we all order the same thing, which can be a bit embarrassing. It makes sense that we would all want it, though, as the skillet is a giant plate of hashbrowns covered in cheddar cheese and chopped up bacon, served with sour cream and salsa on the side. I can usually only eat half of it, but the leftovers make a great lunch later in the day. Sometimes my brother orders a milkshake. He says they're amazing but I've never had one as a milkshake for breakfast is a little too crazy for me. If you aren't one for living dangerously you can order the coffee like I usually do because it's pretty dang good for a diner. Unless you are a snobby coffee drinker with super high standards, it should suit you just fine. If you are a snooty type, you probably should just stay away from this establishment as the greasy food and kitschy decor probably won't be for you. Which would be great, because that means there'll be more left over for me.

  • John P.

Good food, but they took down all the wolf and Indian decor!! The waitress says they were tired of dusting it all and Sharon is going to take it all home. Oh the humanity!!! How can I enjoy my Denver omlette with hash browns and sourdough toast without the noble visages of our native American brothers looking down at me, flanked by fierce yet graceful wolves?

  • Jonathan W.

The Good: Large portions, decent food, friendly service. Cinnamon rolls the size of my palm, nice and fluffy like a loag of bread. Burger tasted like good beef. They got pie too! All you can eat pancake Farmer's Breakfast for those with huge appetites. The Bad: A little pricey for diner food, $10 for a burger and coke. Pretty out of the way, set into a line of dilapidated businesses. The Ugly: Some of the owl and wolf decor is nice, but I found it to be a bit over the top. The Rundown: Wouldn't mind going again, but too far from where I live to go very often. If you're into breakfast or classic diner food, add on another star. Otherwise, it's just another cozy family diner with friendly service and filling portions.

Food was sub par. I ordered the farmers breakfast and wasn't impressed. The food took about 30 minutes to get to our table. The eggs were nearly flavorless. The hash browns were just off in general. The pancakes were the only redeeming thing and still they also lacked flavor.

  • Kris K.

Some words of advice: bring your appetite and do not set foot in here if you are just "a little hungry." For the price of a meal at Sunny Side Up or Broken Yolk you will get a plate with nearly double the food. I do not think I have ever finished a meal here. That said, the food is absolutely delicious. Awesome skillets and omelets.

My dad took me to Sharon's for breakfast for my birthday- my first visit. Odd exterior, but a typical old-school, no nonsense diner feel to it on the inside. The coffee was so-so (typical diner stuff). The waitress greeted us quickly and was chipper, and without much delay, our food was delivered. The servings were enormous. I ordered biscuits and gravy and it literally took up an entire dinner plate. My sides, the toast and eggs, came on a seperate full size plate. Great taste and texture and needless to say, super filling. If you're heading off for a wilderness camping trip far from civilization without a tracking device or GPS, enhance your chances of survival by eating breakfast at Sharon's before you leave. #CorvSMB

Hungover? Need a greasy helping of Biscuits and gravy? Want to be leered at by majestic wolves and tribal owls? If you answered yes to any two of the above questions, then Sharon's is the place for you! Fast service, full on weekends, hilarious decor, greasy spoon food. Treat yourself. #CorvSMB

yuck. the service was good. the paint job looks like it was done by a kid, random brush strokes of paint. a child was serving the coffee, maybe 10 years old. cute, but also what happens when she spills some? had to wait an hour for eggs which where still transparent and a sausage that was still cool from the fridge, guess they both just glanced over the grill, what in aviation we call a touch and go.

This is a great alternative to the other breakfast places in Corvallis. Decor is nothing fancy, but seems to have been slightly upgraded from the owls and wolfs from an earlier post. Service was prompt and efficient. We ordered the #3 skillet, switching to swiss cheese instead of cheddar. It was plentiful and very good; perhaps a tad pricey at $10. We also ordered the a la carte cinnamon roll french toast. A MUST! For $5.25, it was two big pieces and absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that the coffee was lackluster. Slightly off the beaten path of downtown Corvallis, but easy to find on 99S, just past the First Alternative Food Co-op, on the right. Worth the drive (or just follow the bike path, and bike or walk as we did), and no lines hanging out the door.

Authentic Diner Food! We've only been there in the morning for their big plates of tasty breakfast. I'm partial to the SanFrancisco Jo (spinach and sausage in scrambled eggs), my husband likes the Skillet #2 (variation of the old Oscar's Potatoes--hashbrowns, bacon crumbles, cheese). The coffee unfortunately is diner-style, too, but they keep it coming! You don't go there for the coffee. Wait staff work their tails off at breakfast because it's usually full with the tables turning over quickly. If the tables are full sit at the bar and chat with some authentic Corvallians.

Ate here last weekend while doing college sons laundry at South Side Suds next door. What a great surprise! Saturday morning, walked right in and got a table....ordered our food and were almost finished when the clothes were ready to be moved from the washer to the dryers! Will go here again!

Not a whole hell of a lot of options for a vegetarian. That said, i like this place alot. I feel comfortable there, the service is nice, and I actually love the owl decorations. It's your basic diner menu-wise, which works well when you have an out of town band or guests staying with you, and you have no idea where to go the next morning when everyone's brains are more scrambled than the eggs they might want to eat.

If the kitschy miniature owl collection and wolf paintings aren't enough to win you over their giant portions will. Perfect no-frills breakfast diner experience that will fill up even the burliest lumberjack.

Great local diner. Try the chocolate chip pancakes. Love the wolf and owl motif :). No nonsense good food and great people.

Maybe I am the first to review this gem because the locals don't want their secret to get out but in any case I am happy to provide my perspective. Sharon's Cafe is clearly a locals place with typical breakfast served all day to patrons mixed with students from local OSU. Good cheap and just the experience I was expecting to find in a place with local color. It might seem weird to walk into the place settled between a gun shop and a minimart. But go ahead and open the door.

Sharon's is always good. Get way too much food for your money! Sharon's is great for students, they give you a 10% discount with your student ID. Farmer's breakfast is my favorite, although I never get to the pancakes because there is so much food. Always great service!
