Clodfelter's is my favorite bar in Corvallis. When I used to go to Oregon State, I would literally go there 2-3 times per week. I live in Southern California now but any chance I get when I'm back in Oregon I make sure to hit up Clod's. The bartenders are always super nice here and the service is great. It is bar food, but I like the turkey burgers there. Pint night Wednesdays are also pretty awesome and they have Big Buck Hunter there! It's a great place to go on Friday and Saturday night before you hit up Peacock or Sancho's.

SKIP THIS PLACE. Took a group of 8 here yesterday after moving the kids into the dorms at OSU. One of our group had eaten here about 10 years ago and recommended it. What a disappointment, worst restaurant experience I have probably ever had. There were only a few other patrons when we arrived and a server came to our table and took our drink order and left menus and promptly returned with drinks, good start. However, 25 minutes later we had to flag down another server to take our meal order as our server hadn't been seen since drinks were served. We ordered 7 burgers and 2 appetizers. Unfortunately, we were informed the sweet potato fries were unavailable, bummer. The fried zucchini was so that sufficed. Food eventually started being brought out to the table but after all the burgers were served the server said the zucchini would be out in a minute. Strange because at most places the appetizers come first and this was actually someone's meal. When everyone was almost done with their burgers the server came out to say it would be a few more minutes for the zucchini. At this point the server was told to just forget it. The server came back 10 minutes later, an hour after we had ordered, with the zucchini. We tried to refuse it and the server said no charge. That was a polite thing to do but they would have been smarter to have never brought it as it was only more disappointment. It was mostly end caps that were over cooked and the few regular slices were undercooked, yuck! Those who got burgers found them mediocre, nothing special. This place needs to close down food service and concentrate on drinks, IF you can find a server. Never again!

So, I forgot to close out one night and left my card at the bar. When I picked it up the next day and went to sign the receipt, the bartender from the night before WROTE HIMSELF IN A TIP. THIS IS NEVER OK. I don't care if someone racks up a $100 tab, it is STEALING if you write in a tip for yourself that was not authorized by the card owner. The only reason I didn't reduce the rating to 1 star is because I don't think I should completely tank them for one person's mistake. However, I have been given attitude by employees before, so this may be a problem.

I've never had any problem with this bar, except 1, and a big one of that. So when ordering drinks you have to stand in line for the bar like a pre-school student waiting for your chocolate milk during lunch.. When you have 3 bar tenders and a server there is no use for a long line like this. Lazy if you ask me. The drinks are poorly made and the wait for food is way too long. Only reason it got a 3rd star because the beer selection is wonderful and the big game deer hunter is way fun in the back.

The food was mediocre and worthy of a third Yelp star. Service was deserving of a single star so I averaged them out and gave this place two stars. I doubt I'll return next time I'm in Corvallis. I had nachos. They were okay but nothing special and I thought I'd get a bigger portion for the price. No one offered us a second drink, it took over 30 minutes to get the food despite it being a fairly slow Saturday lunch.

A place for sorority girls to pick up drunk guys. Grossly overpriced. Crappy service. Bad drinks.

This is a Dive Bar, not the classiest of places but the bartenders and servers are all friendly, even when their swamped which can be often late at night once the local college crowd rolls in. The burgers are good and fairly cheap though they don't include a side. Their late night menu is amazing with cheap burgers (with fries!) and lots of other munchies. They always have some decent beer on tap and rotate fairly often which is nice. Ups: Good friendly service, cheap eats (especially late night), decent beer on tap Possible downers for you if you care: Divey with divey food, late night college crowed.

Too expensive.... Plain and simple. Holy crap... $5.15 for a beer. I didn't even pay that in California.... Awesome location and decor.... But man, get real.

We didn't have any food, but it was a very fun bar. We were in town for an Oregon State football game and they won, we expected the town to be hoppin, but it was surprisingly dead. Clodfelter's was the only place that was full and fun to be at.

Went to Clodfelters the other day to grab some food after an afternoon Beavers game. The place wasnt very busy at all. Atmosphere was a typical college sports bar type place, kinda cool, might be a good place to go seen an NFL or college game. I didn't have any drinks but they had a full bar and a good amount of beer on tap. The food was typical bar food (burgers/nachos ect). The food was very subpar and basic even for bar food. If I did go back to this place it probably would be just for watching a game and having some beers....the food was pretty blah.

Great food for a sports bar. There's a big variety to choose from. It's fun to go on the weekend with friends for drinking or to get food and watch the games. They have at least 6 flat screen TV's. It's not the best service, but what can you expect from a bar?

I really wanted to like this place. It is a good location and seems like a nice atmosphere. I expect a food place RIGHT outside a college would be good eats. Your clientele is poor college kids who want to eat and drink after classes. How is this place open? Other reviewers have said the beer was overpriced and to my account the food was. Early Saturday evening a friend and I went to get some food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, my friend a chili burger. My hamburger was actually prepared very well. The meat wasn't overcooked as you get in most places. My biggest complaint is that it was small, for about $6 I expected a larger burger... and it had NO sides not even chips. I don't know where the photo of the burger from another user but mine was MUCH smaller (I have had sliders that were larger). My friend's burger was a much better serving size, not massively impressed with the flavor and when we asked for hot sauce all they had was "Frank's Red Hot" (wing sauce). Service might have been bad because we weren't drinking. After getting tired of waiting to get my water filled I ended up going up to the bar and had the bartender give me water. I don't expect the BEST service when I go to college type establishments but at least someone that I don't have to hunt down wouldn't be too much to expect. Too many bad things to try it again....

Clodfelter's is definitely my favorite stop. Not so much for the nightlife, unless I'm looking to grab a few beers and hang out, but more for the relaxing atmosphere of Sunday afternoons. Clods is a great place to go to watch sports. Whether you can catch a Beaver game, or an NFL playoff game, Clods has something on their TVs you will want to watch. I go to Clods every Sunday to recover and reminisce about the weekend. My friends and I get there around 10:30am to order breakfast. I'd recommend the Biscuits and Gravy. Very cheap and relatively good for a bar breakfast. The beer on tap is on the expensive side, but always very good. Pitchers are obviously the best way to go, but I'd recommend buying pints of "good" beer and pitchers of "cheap" beer. The bar food is also pretty good. I usually stick with a variety of appetizers, but be sure to eat anything with the ranch sauce. It's by far my favorite I've ever had, and best paired with the Cajun Fries. The servers are attentive and as far as I've noticed, get along much better with college students than locals. It's a bar atmosphere. People can be rude and loud, including the servers for all I care. I'm not saying they are at all, but by no means are they sucking up to the patrons. You want bad service? Go to McMenamins. The atmosphere is exactly what I want in a bar. Dark lighting, mostly wood with random decor all over the walls. It doesn't get any better. On Sundays when I usually go for most of the day, there are times where my friends and I are the only ones there. Obviously, by that point, the servers and extremely attentive and strike up plenty of conversation. The traffic on Sundays peaks around lunch time, and is quite empty again by 2pm. I can't think of anything better to do on a Sunday than go to Clods with some friends, grab a few meals, a few beers, and watch football all day. We don't usually leave until 6pm, if not later. Best "real" bar in town. Also, Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm Monday through Friday has some really great deals for a small bite and pint.

I work in the service and beverage industry here in Corvallis, and I learned today that Clodfelter's refuses to support local business. They only do business with large companies, who in their own right have a great product, but the local economy is suffering because of people like this. Also, the staff was rude and the service was cut rate at best.

Just walking past this place gives me a shudder of nausea. Bad food, bad service, bad beer, lousy atmosphere, and it's been like that for over twenty years. It's a shame that this excellent location has nothing going for it.

This place just recently reopened after getting renovated. At first glance it didn't look like much had changed. The interior still seemed pretty basic and underwhelming. What they did remodel, and thank god that they did, were the bathrooms! They are huge and clean and definitely a selling point. Other than that, this is mediocre college bar with cheap drinks and food, but be forewarned that you are getting what you pay for.

I feel that Clodfelter's should be rated separately for their weekday hours of service to their evening, late night, and weekend service. Basically, if you want inattentive service and a noisy, rowdy, college crowd (which goes with the territory), go on a Friday night or other similar hours. I have frequented Clodfelter's numerous times, but the majority of times I have gone there have been during the weekday hours. I can't remember any bad experiences I have had in the place during those hours of business. The food is always hot and arrives usually in an impressive amount of time. The kitchen staff will occasionally bring out your order and check to see how you like it. Any billing discrepancies have worked out in my favor if staff recognize that they have made a mistake. I am almost always greeted when I walk through the doors. However, the one time I ventured out with some visiting friends to go to Clodfelter's on an average "college night," it was a completely different restaurant. The place was crowded, noisy, and understandably, the service was not as attentive. I was also disappointed to learn they had stopped carrying Ninkasi beers. But, if you are looking to get away from the daily grind, Clodfelter's is a great place to get pretty good food (that might give you a heart-attack) for the price (IMO), and potentially some decent drinks on a weekday, even if you are not into the "college crowd."

I have stopped by this place a number of times. Whether, it was just for a beer or to watch a game and get some food; I have yet to leave in a good mood. I figured after being somewhat of a regular, being friendly, and tipping well, I would have earned some respect, but nope. Every employee has an attitude, the beer is expensive, and the food is below par. This place has so much potential to be a really great bar....But if you didn't got to high school, roommate, or sleep with one of the bartenders, I wouldn't recommend Clodfelter's.
