Diabetics need to monitor the intake of carbohydrates to control the blood sugar levels. Diabetics can surely enjoy at Denny's Diner as most foods offered on the menu contain less sugar or no sugar at all. However, you need to be careful with the carbohydrates content and sodium intake while dining at Denny's.
Foods to Avoid at Denny's for Diabetics:
Most foods served at Denny's are low in sugar but also high in sodium. Be careful while ordering food at Denny's and keep a check on both sugar and sodium levels if you're a diabetic. Avoid desserts totally at Denny's to avoid sugar spike. In the dinner section, avoid Bourbon Chicken Sizzlin' Skillet to limit your sugar intake.
Also, skip the Boneless Chicken Wings at Denny's as they can also spike your sugar levels. Besides plain coffee, different types of tea, diet coke, and tomato juice; every other drink available on Denny's menu is a big no for diabetics.
Denny's offers low-sodium options on their menu for people with high blood pressure. You can also order low-sodium foods or specifically ask the chef to add less salt in their orders.
Foods to Avoid at Denny's for High Blood Pressure
Most foods at Denny's are high in sodium content. Ensure to skip any food item which has over 600 or 700 mg sodium on Denny's Menu. Most burgers and breakfast dishes are high in sodium on Denny's menu. Stay away from items that are offered with extra cheese and sauce at Denny's to limit your sodium intake. Food Suggestions for High Blood Pressure at Dennys
Just like low-sodium foods, you can also order low fat or low cholesterol meals at Denny's. If you are concerned for your cholesterol levels, then you can try food items from Fit Fare or 55+ menu at Denny's. Most food items offered under Fit Fare and 55+ category rais low in cholesterol and very healthy.

We can here after getting off a long flight. No complaints as we got pretty much what we expected. The breakfast & burgers were pretty good. The pot roast- not so much. Maybe it's a Portland thing but this Denny's had all thin people. I felt heathy eating here.

I can't believe I'm writing a review for a Denny's, but "the season" inspired me to do so. I'm referring to pumpkin season. A mailer arrived showcasing their pumpkin pancake breakfast, complete with a coupon. Yippy skippy. Denny's is so damn reliable that you'd almost know in advance it would land at 3 stars. There is that uniform taste across their sandwich / fries combinations just like there is across their breakfast combinations, much like is the case at McDonald's, whether you're in Peoria, Illinois or Paris, France. The location is on SE 82nd, right across from the Clackamas Town Center mall, though jaywalking is highly discouraged. The restaurant is boilerplate '70s or '80s vintage Denny's, although not the Sunbelt look found in Southern California. Regardless, it is comfortable enough. The service was neither overly congenial nor brusque, but efficient. As for the pumpkin pancake breakfast, it is better than other breakfast platters offered at Denny's or elsewhere at that price point because it features 4 items: pancakes, eggs, breakfast meat, and hash browns. I thought the pumpkin flavored pancakes would be obnoxious, but that is far from the case. The flavor is subtle and thus makes an already good thing - pancakes - even better. Then throw in that coupon. With another coupon laying around, I might just go have some pumpkin pancakes again before this seasonal item goes away. You really can't go wrong if you don't mind a transitory overload of carbs to dig in to some tasty grub.

I'll start this off by saying, yes I know it's Denny's and you can't be mad when a couple things go wrong... But last night my friend and I went here for a late night bite. The server we had, the only server for the dining room and bar, was Robin. I can understand that it was late and it was probably a little too busy for one person, but I don't think she said more then 3 words to us the entire time we were there. She took our order and we never spoke to her again. Our food got cooked and it sat for a few minutes before the chef had to bring us out our food! THE CHEF!!! Now, the food itself was very good, and I have no complaints, but when we ordered I had asked for a Mango Lemonade and didn't get that till the manager came around and I had to ask her for it... When we left we also saw our waiter leaving... Obviously she was at the end of her shift, but maybe she shouldn't of been taking tables if that was the case. When we left I left no tip for her, and instead my friend and I asked the manager to give the cook our tip. We got the weirdest look from her and I don't even know if he got it... I know I'll be back, because I do love Denny's, but probably only when there are enough servers to give proper costumer service..

This morning I assembled my roommates for an early morning pajama-wearing breakfast trip to our local Denny's. When we walked through the entryway, it took the staff a bit to get around to even saying hello. I overheard some comment from a staff member about them needing to clean tables. Other customers began to crowd around the reception area and the hostess started attending others, even though we had established to that person that I was there before any of those people. I had to assert myself to make it known that we were waiting too long, which doesn't make for a very exciting start to my dining experience considering there were obvious open tables for everyone. Get on that cleaning, there were only 3 of us. In any case, we finally received our table. The service was adequate at first. We were checked on quite frequently while we made our decisions. I ended up ordering the $8 value menu Country Fried Steak Skillet and also a large side of Biscuits & Gravy. The food tasted great and the gravy didn't disappoint. The only down side to the service was that we had to ask for refills. We were sitting in one of those half-circular booths, so we were putting our glasses at the edge of the table so they could be noticed. You know what I'm talking about. It came down to that. So, all in all, my taste-buds were pleasantly satisfied, but the service end could have been better. On a positive ending note, at least the place looked clean, except for some tables, and the iced tea was yummy.

We came here because we were staying at the hampton Inn, made me wish we hadn't slept in past the continental breakfast. I love hashbrowns, hate what was on my plate. One of the toasts came on a plate that was dirty with dry green stuff :-/ they got us another one but overall experience was kinda meh.

Was at Denny's for an all day training meeting in their meeting rooms. Bathrooms were disgusting ( fecal matter on one stool and urine on the other ). I asked for them to clean and didn't happen for over 2 hours. That made the decision not to have lunch there
