If i can just eat the mango salsa- i'd be happy with just that. Instead, i get showered with amazing burritos and endless chips! my go to is the Baja steak burrito. the thing that keeps me coming back is the tortilla, it reminds me of a burrito shack in santa monica run by an amazing mexican woman.

I've been to better Baja's. This one was dirty. The queso was brown and old and they even got our order wrong. Never coming back. My son pointed up and there was insulation open above our table.

Dirty, dirty, dirty. Grout had old food and dirt that was turning black in the corners, floor next to the salsa bar looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. When I pulled my chair out the back was completely sticky. We sat next to where they keep the high chairs and there was old crusted food on it, not the kind that happens during a regular business day...or week. Sanitation is a big problem here.

For a quick trip in and out this place has my vote! Healthier than any other surrounding options and edible at the same time.

Baja Fresh is much like Chipotle, though there is no "presentation" of the making of your dish like there is at Chipotle. This one is just as tasty and reliable as any of the others at which I've eaten, is sensibly priced, features friendly enough service, and is in a nice newer center across from the big Kaiser medical center near the freeway ramps.

Food is not amazing but I wouldn't expect it to be. That being said, for a fast food type joint it wasn't super greasy and I didn't feel ill afterwords. In my book that's a win.

Yum! I got the carnita diablo burrito for $6.89. Just delicious, it even came with a little bag of chips! Nice big burrito that filled me up perfectly. The staff was really friendly and fast. I loved all of the salsas that were available at the salsa bar, I tried three of them. The two 'hot' ones I tried were a little spicy, might even be considered mild really. This may be my new go to for a quick, tasty bite to eat!

We placed a $65 catering order in person at 10:30 this past Saturday morning. The employee suggested what we order for the size of the group that we had for that evening. She wrote it up and agreed that it would be ready at 4:45 that afternoon. We showed up at 4:48 and were informed that our order wasn't ready and that they weren't willing to make it that way. Both we and the employee had misunderstood the way you could "mix & match" on the catering menu. The manager claimed he'd called, which he hadn't. We showed him our phone (which had been listed on the catering order) but he refused to acknowledge that he hadn't called us (or had potentially dialed the wrong number). We asked him to simply honor the order and make it. He refused and told us he could do the order for an additional $20 with two additional burritos (that we didn't need). After calling Gustavo, the store's general manager, he remained just as resistant and told us we were wrong, that he trusted his manager, and that if he said he called us, he did. We choose not to do business with businesses like this. Beyond the inconvenience of not having our order ready, the unwillingness to work with us to make it work was simply unreasonable. As we did that night, we'll choose to take our business elsewhere in the future.

I used to look forward to getting chicken burritos every friday at this location. Now they are made with a lot of onion and cilantro to make up for the chicken they don't put in which changed the taste. Why oh why?

I have frequented the SE Sunnyside location about 5 times now and each time I'm flabbergasted at staff and the total lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. Today was the last straw. It is Easter today and not likely that Baja Fresh is a top location for Easter eaters, so I thought it might be the one time that it would possibly be clean inside....NOPE! I walked in to find no customers, but tables with remnants of rice and food from diners left on the them, while a, tall, adolescent, Caucasian kid stood around and drank soda. The floor was filthy. I went to the bathroom to wash my hands and there was no paper towel in the dispenser or anywhere for that matter. Now, I love Baja Fresh for a quick, healthy meal, but this location is a disgrace to the franchise. The main drawback to the SE Sunnyside location is the lack of cleanliness. But as a former food service employee, every time I eat here, I am annoyed by the lackadaisical way the staff works. The manager seems to be a nice man, but he needs to whip his employees into shape. I would understand if it was really busy in the restaurant, but I know that they have at least one employee designated to keep the dining area clean (the tall adolescent kid), and it's not busy in there when I have gone. I feel like I want to get up from my meal and clean the place up...it's that bad.

Awful. We have been long term fans of Baja Fresh. This location dirty. Food tasted bad and burnt. Chips stale. So disappointing. Service was weak.

One time I came here and I ordered a burrito of some sort and a side of chips and guacamole. The gal looked at me and said, "Um, wow...really? Is ALL of this for you?" I said, "Yes." And she replies, "Wow, um, I can't imagine eating that much. WOW." For the record, I didn't finish it all, my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach that day, but REALLY? I guess I'm just traumatized still. It's too bad because I really like their salsa bar.

Dirtiest Baja Fresh ever. I had to pass over 2-3 tables that I would have otherwise chosen because they were dirty. This was also at about 11:15, so not during lunch rush. The wait for my food was close to 15 minutes, which also is uncharacteristic of Baja Fresh. I like Baja Fresh, but I will not go back to this one for a while.

I came to witness Baja Fresh from a good friend of mine that introduced me to their Chiptole salad. I was amazed by the intensity of the spice. It was very good. I have not tried other menu options from them since I particularly enjoy their Chiptole salad. The staff are nice, and don't judge on what you get. They just take your order, accept your money, and give you the food.

It took me a year to finally get back into one of the Baja sites. I really like the taste of their grilled chicken here so I always get something with chicken in it. Hooray for the location being across the freeway from where I work too. We call our order in ahead and then swing by to pick it up. It is always correct, the service inside is fast and the salsa bar is always well stocked and super clean! The entire store is clean so I am impressed. I have never had a bad meal selection here so order whatever you fancy without fear of it being bad. I know for a chain place some of you are cringing....but the freshness of the food is always good and the quality of the meat is always predictable, so rare these days in chain places. Minus one star for chips not coming free with all meals. I want to take advantage of the Baja Salsa that is free at the salsa bar! :-)

My wife and I are completely addicted to Baja Fresh. Great Nachos and Tasty Burritos. The burritos are way better than Chipotle since I don't feel like I'm going to explode after eating one.

Love this Baja Fresh. The whole Baja Fresh team is so nice and accommodating to my family. The food is always delicious and makes me feel like I am in Mexico. As soon as I walk through the door, I am transported. Love the mahi fish tacos!

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
