Food is delicious and you can't beat the speediness and portion size. They're very friendly and are happy to make accommodations for my kids. I love getting food to go from here as well. Nicely packaged and almost more of a portion than when you dine in. Prices are reasonable as well. I always get the beef and broccoli combo and it's so delicious! Fresh veggies and the meat is so tender. Pretty picky about Chinese food but this place is hands down my favorite in the area and in other nearby towns!

Came into town for a night and this place was a block away. Ordered carry out with lo mein... So bland, pretty much just tasted like a mix of other greasy dishes and the noodles were thin, not traditional lo mein at all. And even with carry out I didn't get a fork or napkin.

I went out to lunch with my Mom on Valentine's Day here. (It's like the 100th time I've gone); but have never wrote a review before. I got to say. This time was as good as the other times. The owners and staff are amazing; and if you go a lot they'll recognize you and start to joke around. The food was amazing (again) and their egg-flour soup is the best I have ever had. I'll go just for the soup if I can. I got the sweet and sour chicken lunch special and it was good. Had extra to take home as well for a small snack. Price was amazing. You want a good Chinese restaurant. Come here.

By far the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in Canby - 4 stars from me because 5 stars has to be above and beyond all expectations in my book. Prices are great for the amount of food. Not a huge fan of the broccoli beef - there's too much broccoli for my liking - but everything else I've tried is delicious! Especially the pork fried rice, bbq pork, fried shrimp, and General tso chicken. Always speedy service with both dine in and take out. You could probably call me a regular now - you know, since Chinese food is negative calories...

Favorite place of ours. Definitely worth the drive from Woodburn. The food is delicious and made promptly. A little old school interior, but worth looking past that.

Joy Kitchen is great! I love the Green Bean chicken. Their Pork Noodle Soup or Wonton soup are awesome on a rainy day. Large servings. Reasonably priced. Wonderful friendly staff. Fresh ingredients. Cozy atmosphere. It's some of the best Chinese food in the Canby area.

I have been here 3 or 4 times now and although the service is extremely friendly, I think the food lacked a little oomph. The General Tsao Chicken is delicious but I found the rice a little dry and the chow mien wasn't very appealing to look at.. For a quaint and friendly meal it is a good place to go but if you are looking for a five star asian food place I think this one falls a little short.

Really delish food! Super flavorful- I normally get one of the combo meals so I can have a variety. Atmosphere isn't great but We usually call it in and get it to go for a cozy movie night at home. Prices average for Chinese.

This is one of our families favorites for Canby Chinese food. The combo meals offer quite a variety at a good price. The portions are large and we are always taking food home with us which makes the value even greater. The service is very friendly, the setting is clean, open, bright and comfortable. My wife likes the green bean beef and the veggies are very fresh and crisp. I like the spicier options - kung po chicken being my favorite. I find the heat level good and usually ask for a little hotter than what they would serve by default. We have probably eaten there more than 15 times since they opened, I don't know how you can make a more positive review than that.

The atmosphere was inviting, bright & comfortable. The food was served in a matter of minutes after we ordered. I had the broccoli beef the meat was so tender & full of flavor the broccoli was cooked to perfection. I would recommend this this restaurant to anybody and all of my friends! It was my first time there and I enjoyed everything that I ordered.

One of the cleanest and most nicely decorated Chinese restaurants I have ever been to. The food was average. Good size portions. Friendly wait staff.

This is a great little local business.....the food gets 3.5 stars, very tasty but nothing outstanding. The cheap prices and generous portions get another half star and the friendly folks get it the final star. Frankly there is no "great" food in Canby, but this is a good solid option if you're in the area. Tonight they had a special of 8 deep fried oysters for $5.95.....that's stupid cheap and they looked delicious. I ate here last time I was in town, and I went there again today on my first trip back.....'nuff said

Very delicious! The egg rolls were tasty! Love the Kung Pao Chicken - asked for it spicy but it was medium (perfect)! Did not like the pork fried rice though - too bland. Maybe an off day? Staff very friendly and attentive, place was clean. We will visit here again for sure!! Have been here twice, once for lunch and also for dinner.

Been there many times, always good, but wed night was fanominall. New chef? Beats most in Vegas where we winter. I can't express enough how good it was. Kung Pou had a good kick not to much. And that was take out.

For Canby, this is very good Chinese Food. The place itself is very quaint and the service always good. Shrimp with Walnut Sauce is my go-to meal here. The waitress had to have patience with the 2 patrons there last night. These two crazy ladies took over 30 minutes to place their order. The waitress never lost her cool with them. That gets an extra star.

This is the best Chinese food in Canby in my opinion. The food is good and has flavor and the restaurant itself is clean and inviting. We had the lunch special, which was plenty of food for a very reasonable price. We will definitely be back.

Tried this place tonight after reading the Yelp reviews and were not disappointed. One of the cleanest Chinese restaurants we've seen and the food was very good. The lemon chicken was perfect in tartness and my kids loved the sauce. The general tso chicken was excellent - the only thing lacking was a bit of a kick / spice, but the sauce was delectable. And what made the general tso chicken really good was that it was not breaded and deep fried like too commonly done at a lot of Chinese place - nope, this chicken was non-breaded and really tasty. All three of our kids loved the place too, which is unusual. Prices were right in line w/ most other Chinese restaurants.

Also the best Chinese food we have had in a long time, hands down. The vegetables were incredibly fresh, the prices were very reasonable, the ambiance was great! Everything was spectacular! I just wish they had a restaurant this great closer to my house! !

This place has great chinese food and by far the best in the OC/Canby area. I drive from OC because its way better than anything here. All the food taste fresh and the staff is friendly. My favorite is the kung pao chicken.

This is simply the best chinese food we have had in a very long time. Every dish we have tried is GOOD - we have tried Broccoli Beef, Kung Pao Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Sweet and Sour Pork, fried rice, crab puffs, egg rolls, and others I can't recall at the moment. Although we usually don't eat deep fried foods, for this place we make a happy exception - these folks really know how to deep fry. They prepare the best fried shrimp you will ever find anywhere - crisp, tasty, and not a hint of grease. The lunch or family specials have been excellent, but the numbered combinations are superb, as well - we are very fond of numbers 4 and 5. We live between Beaverton and Hillsboro, and the consensus among us (I have eaten there at various times with my husband, my mother, and my brother) is that it is well worth the journey from home to Canby, if only to eat at Joy Kitchen. Not only is the food good, but the decor is pleasing and cheerful, and the owners and staff are kind, welcoming, and truly charming. I don't know when I've enjoyed a meal as much as those we have had at Joy Kitchen, and we will be making many more visits.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
