I never thought that tiny Tumalo would be a destination location, but it is if you want really great pizza! No kidding....this is the real deal. The sauce is tasty, the toppings are plentiful but the crust, oh, the crust! It really is homemade and left to rest overnight so all that goodness can rest before being popped in a screaming hot oven for just the right amount of crisp and char. You can even get a little more char if you ask (I did! Yum!!). The crust is incredibly thin but still packs flavor...a sure sign that the owner cares about quality. There is an interesting selection of pies to pick from but you can always make up your own to suit your mood at the moment. The menu also features calzones and handmade sandwiches but on our visits, we haven't gotten any further than the pizza--it's just that good. Pizza just cries out for a good cold beer and we live in Beerland! The owner, Patrick, has a nice rotating selection of local draft beers as well as a cold case of additional bottled beers. Inside seating is limited and cozy. There is also a nice outside seating area in the back. For eat-in or takeout, Raganelli's needs to be on your list!

I recently moved to the area and have been working near Tumalo. I decided to try Raganelli's and I had the best sandwich I've ever had, Paddy's house sandwich - on toasted fresh made bread. Not only was the food great, but the atmosphere and service was excellent as well. Did I mention all the beers on tap? My wife said her personal pizza was the best pizza she's ever had. The crust was light and flaky, "toppings be damned, I could just eat the crust!" This is an "off the beaten path" gem of a place and we'll be going back often! - Rob

I left Sunriver and thought I'd call in an order to pick up on my way home in eagle crest I called ELEVEN TIMES between sun river and Tumalo with no answer! When I walked in the the restaurant the phone was sitting on top of a speaker. I asked the kid why he didn't answer the phone as it was just him and another high school aged girl in the place. As he was lying and saying it wasn't working, maybe I called the wrong number blah, blah, blah, I hit redial . RINGGGGGG!!!!!' Hummm! That's probably the worst problem with the place. It's operated by what seems like high school kids. Btw, just to be clear, this is the third time I've tried to get a pie there on my way home but the only successful attempt. The other times I was told it would be an hour wait to bake a pizza. No thanks. Anyhow, got home and baked my overpriced pepperoni pizza as directed. 18.00 for a pizza I am baking myself??? WTH? But It was my last option before hitting home with hungry mouths at home. What I ended up with is very honestly the greasiest, soggiest, pile of inedible goo of a pizza that I've ever had. We even tried to crisp it up on a pancake griddle and sop up some grease with paper towels. Even after all that, an eight year old boy still asked for something else to eat. If an eight year old boy won't eat a piece of pizza, that's pretty nasty pizza!! First pizza in my life that we just threw in the trash.

My calzone was a nasty wet sipping sponge, inedible. read the reviews and I was looking forward to some tasty food. Now I am sitting here hungry and disappointed. This is unfortunate as I use Yelp to help avoid this exact situation.

We drive by this place every time we visit family in the Boonesborough area and finally tried a pizza last weekend. We called in an order for pickup and they did answer the phone and were very friendly. They had the order when we arrived and we were on our way. I will say the crust was of good quality but it was very greasy, which was odd because there was not much cheese there. It was just underwhelming and we will most likely not try again, which sucks because we enjoy patronizing local restaurants.

We live near-by and have had take out maybe four times since they opened. The pizza is "okay"...nothing special but not awful. The calzones don't have ricotta in them which is a real disappointment. The reason I'm writing this review with such a low score is not because of their pizza (it would get 3 stars) but because of their customer service. It's just down-right horrid. We were on our way home and tried to call in an order and the gal that answered the phone said "please hold" and set down the phone. We could hear her entire conversation which sounded like a typical teen-age conversation with friends, however, after over 10 minutes of listening...SHE NEVER CAME BACK TO US. So we hung-up...then, when we tried to call back, it was busy. Since we were driving by anyway, we stopped in and the phone was still sitting off the hook on the counter. She then lied and said the phone went out and really wanted to argue rather than apologize. Apparently, there was no one who cared working there that night and we left hungry and incredibly frustrated. It was the worst treatment we'd ever received at a restaurant. There's a new great pizza place across the highway which got our business and will always in the future.

We stopped in at Rags today and had the most amazing afternoon! This pizza was to die for! Loved it! They have growlers too and amazing beer on tap to fill one up to take home. Seriously the best pizza I've ever had. We would eat there everyday if we could. The owner is a great guy and we were welcomed like family. Everyone should eat here!

By far best pizza around, our new favorite spot. Awesome selection of local brews by the bottle and on tap. Very friendly. Super cozy little place. Definitely recommend!

I moved to Bend, OR from NYC last year and have been mourning being able to find excellent NYC style pizza until I wandered into this gem! As I ate my cheese pizza, it took me back to the 30+ years I lived in NYC. The pizza here is perfect!!!

We moved to this area about a year ago and have been looking for a great pizza place since. We finally found it! Well worth the 15 minute drive from Redmond. The only downside is that they need more seating.

Wow, it was BAD! I eat here because of the good reviews on Yelp. I regret it. The bathroom is a portapotty in the parking lot. Most of the dining space is behind a fence in the parking lot. You get there by carrying your own beverages down the driveway and around the building, because the building is so small that the only back door goes directly through the kitchen. They don't have ice. They don't have a soda fountain. Our pizza was below average, with almost no cheese, yet not inexpensive. I feel like I am funding someone's experiment. Oh, and the waitress was rude--the one time we saw her.

My husband and I were on a road trip from San Diego and stopped at Raganelli's for a pizza. What a great surprise! We were welcomed by such friendly service and enjoyed a great comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The outside patio was also a treat. The best part was the pizza! FRESH, finely cut vegetables and delicious crust made this one of the best pizzas we have ever had! There was also a wide selection of great beer on tap. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, Patrick, who we found to be dedicated and passionate about the quality of the food as well as the customer service. We will go out of our way the next time we are anywhere near Bend as this was one of the highlights of our trips.

Fantaaaaastic pizza. Got the margherita, and it was absolutely delicious. Service was quick, and the patio was a great place to relax... and dog-friendly, too! I'll definitely be coming back again.

Delicious Greek Salad and shared a personal pizza with my friend. Cute patio out in back and very friendly service from the gentleman. We were there for late lunch, so were the only patrons. If I lived in the Tumalo area, this would definitely be my pizza to go place. Too bad I live further away. The curb in front is painted like the Italian flag - green, white, red. Wasn't sure if this was a loading zone, fire zone, or? Parked there and found out it was OK! Only rest room is a porta potty.

My husband and I relocated here from Chicago and still looking for a decent pizza around Bend. We were referred to this place. We really enjoyed the Mediterranean pizza with a couple craft beers. We ate inside and enjoyed conversation with the staff...wasn't busy at the tme. We would eat this pizza again. However, after asking to use the bathroom I was told we have an outhouse out in back!, WHAT, NO BATHROOM INSIDE THE RESTAURANT? Not only did I have to walk through the parking lot, over the alley into the outhouse, there's NO LIGHTS. It was dusk...WTH. So needless to say, I may stop by for a to-go pizza, but to enjoy a beer or two inside with pizza and no bathroom....I'll pass on that idea.

We were here on Sunday afternoon with friends. We were looking for a cold beer & pizza at a place we could bring our dog. This IS it! It's a funky little place where you go in the front and order and they will deliver it to you out back in the garden. See, it's not quiet a patio. Anyway, the guys split a meat pizza and the ladies split a veggie one. All of us loved the pizza! Fresh ingredients and a great crust!! I got a pumpkin ale & my hubby got the Boneyard IPA. Turned out we both like the pumpkin. So we filled our growler. Along with great food and a funky little atmosphere, the staff was super nice!! We plan on being back in Bend again and this will be on our stop too!

My wife and I had pizza for the first time on Thursday March 26, 2015. Excellent! The place is small with several tables. The owner is an outgoing fun guy. We had a large 50/50 combination and margherita. The crust was thin to our liking. Home made dough with flavor unlike most other places with tasteless dough. Sauce is home made as well and is very good. Plenty of fresh good quality toppings and cheese. Both types were good, the margherita my favorite. Only one slight negative: no bathroom in the restaurant. There is a portapotty out back. So be prepared. Go for the pizza! Almost forgot about the beers! They have 8 micro brews on tap and bottled beer as well. We had a glass of micro brew each. Yum! The owner seems to take care selecting quality tap beers. We are forever customers. Finally, we thought $23 for a large, 18" size pizza was reasonable considering the effort he makes with home made dough/sauce and the quality of toppings.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had... not just in Central Oregon either! Yum. The Philly Cheesesteak pizza is my favorite.

Great pizza! Great service! Great beer! The back patio is a great place to kick back with the family and enjoy some pizza. I'm now a regular at Raganellis and they never disappoint.

Um, I did not care for the pizza my husband and I got there about a year or so ago, way too spicy and I certainly couldn't figure out why everyone thought their crust was so great. I thought the young gentleman who waited on us was rather abrupt and unfriendly. About three weeks ago, my husband got a personal pizza and it was extremely burnt and very hard, so much so that he broke his teeth while eating it. Not good when a six dollar pizza turns into a $500 dental bill.

Best pizza in Bend, OR. I ordered pepperoni, red onion and fresh basil. Pizza sauce was made from scratch and had tons of flavor. The pizza crust was wonderful!

Good pizza and calzones. Like the beer selection. Good garlic bread. Cool spot in Tumalo. Enjoy that couch after a good calzone and beer.

A good stop for pizza in Tumalo. The guys here are friendly and the pizza is good if not spectacular. They also have a nice selection of taps to have a beer while you wait. Have not used the outdoor patio but it seems pleasant.

I loved this pizza! I had The Hang 10 with Canadian bacon, pineapple and mandarin oranges. Local, fresh, totally homemade. The crust is beautiful and the sauce is just the right amount of spicy. Local brew on tap. A great place to stop in Tumalo, I highly recommend it.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
