This is a follow up to my original post. THEY NOW HAVE A FRYER AND IT IS AWESOME! Best onion rings I've ever had in my life. Very expensive onion rings but still the best! The music is still WAY too loud. I can't hear anyone talk and it is very frustrating.

Went here for the first time with another couple. Great food and prices. They had a 3 piece band playing on a Friday night, which was great! The owner came over to introduce himself..very nice guy! He suggested that we go next door for more music after the first band left. We had a great night of dancing and beverages!! We will return! Thanks for a great time!

Holy cow, this is good food! I was convinced to try this place by a friend who I always trust to pick great places to eat. The bar really didn't look like much more than your average sports bar, but OH. MY. GOSH! The food was soooooooooo good! Everything on the menu sounded really yummy -- I had a hard time deciding what to get! I had the club sandwich on sourdough with a side of Irish stew -- the sandwich was out of this world! The stew was also good, though a little peppery for my tastes. My friend had the BLTT and it looked amazing, as well. The service was also really great -- the cook brought our food to us and was super friendly. The guy at the bar kept our drinks constantly refilled and even sat down to help my friend figure out what beer it was that she liked the last time she was there. The owner stopped by our table, too, to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. I can't wait to take my friends back to this place and try out some of the other dishes! Edited 6/13/2012: I went back and took my mom, raving about how good this place was... and was sorely disappointed. I believe they must've had another cook working OR the cook was having a severely bad day. We both ordered club sandwiches and had to wait a really long time. Then our server informed us the cook had made the wrong order, so he was cooking it again. When our meal finally arrived, the sandwich was cold, dry-looking, and altogether unappetizing. I questioned the difference between the two times I'd been there and they took the sandwich back and remade it. The second time was slightly better, but still nothing to rave about like the last time. The potato salad was absolutely inedible. However, the service itself was still really great -- the guy who served us apologized many times and took 25% off our bill because of our experience (without us even asking or suggesting that he do that). I won't say that I'll *never* go back there again, but I will think twice before going.

Food - eh, okay. Service - eh, better than Timbers East. For being in a 'Beer Town' their selection, well sucks. Tried a Bloody Mary - omg, the worst I've ever had ever! Have absolutely no reason to EVER go back. :-(

Ahhh. Glorious off-the-grid dive! Sometimes you just want to drink beer with the 3rd Street crowd and not run into every living soul you know in Bend. If you're into hiding, if you're into dives, if you are into 20 oz Reubens larger than your head(for 8 dollars!), this is your spot. We had read a great Source review of their Reubens a while back and were feeling crabby and antisocial (by we, I mean me) so we figured we'd finally give them a try. Kelly D's is cozy. It was a quiet Sunday afternoon and we were able to grab a cushy seat in the back and relax. Tap selection isn't awful-they are fizzy yellow beer-heavy, but also carry Boneyard, Guiness ( Irish bar,of course!) and Firestone Walker (which they were out of). They also have a decent selection of bottles, and full liquor bar as well. Service was just fine, and we both went for the Reuben, mine with a salad, the other with the potato salad, which was runny and tasted like they pureed half of the potatoes in the salad to make the dressing then added the rest of the cooked potatoes? Interesting. The Reubens are served on giant Dilusso marbled rye and were good, but could have used more meat, much more kraut, and less cheese, but for 8 dollars they were awesome. 5 beers+ 2 giant sandos,+entertaining locals+sports on tv=40 bucks. Not bad!! We will return!
