We love this place. Every summer we visit Bend,OR, we always visit this place. Excellent food! Service is great!

Very surprised to find such a tasty spot in Bend. For a long time my husband and I thought our half way point (Bend) lunch stop between visits across the state was limited to fast food. Fortunately, rather than going to the fast food joint that shares the general lot with Dang's, we stopped here instead. Glad we did! Servers were polite and quick and the food was much better than we could have hoped for. My pho was very flavorful, though next time I will only order the brisket and not the meatballs (personal preference is all, they were both tasty). My husband enjoyed his stir fried something (can't remember exactly what it was) and had no complaints. We'd both come back, although with our recent move Bend is no longer on the way to anything we'll be likely to visit again soon.

The food here is really great! Very authentic and tasty. Great atmosphere as well. I would be back for sure in here. The price is very reasonable so I don't get why some people leave a comment about how overpriced this place is. Plus, the owners of the restaurant is very friendly. I recommend their Pad thai and Yakisoba for the stir fry noodles! And also their Vietnamese crispy crepe! Try as well their thai iced not gonna lie but their thai iced tea is the best in town! Nice job! Keep supporting local restaurants.

Dirty and overpriced! I feel a lot of the 5 star reviews on here are fake! They are made up of Yelper who have only written 1 or 2 other reviews which is a dead giveaway. Not fair Mr. Dang to have your friends and family (or yourself) creating yelp accounts to "doctor up" your ratings. The restaurant looks really dirty and I would hate to see how it really looks back in the kitchen. For the quality of food, the prices are way too high! My dessert was served with fruit (mango) that wasn't yet ripe but I still had to pay about 7 bucks for it. Not cool! I'm not going to spend my hard earned money on bad quality food in Bend anymore. I can get way better tasting food somewhere else for less money. They also seem very unorganized and talk loud to each other while pacing around the restaurant helping customers. Kind of rude. Between the prices, rude behavior and the filth I won't be back.

Great tasting food, great portion size, well priced. My husband is a big fan of pho, and this place is his favorite. I am really loyal to the shrimp/chicken/pork skewers platter. The flavor is outstanding.

My absolute favorite pho ! The broth is so rich in flavor & nothing beats the fried garlic bits floating throughout the entire . The service is speedy & the food comes out piping hot - the best ! I recommend their squid & beef pho as well as their chicken wings. The Vietnamese coffee is also super yum. While the restaurant seriously lacks ambiance. The authentic flavors make up for the stiff chairs and squished-together table.

I have eaten here once before and found the food to be decent. Decided to go here for a quick dinner. I wanted to eat light so I got the chicken salad and I was not fond of it at all. It was doused with the fish dressing and it was just to much for me. My boyfriend ended up getting the Fire Chicken and it was very good. Perfect portion so I ended up eating off of his plate and returned my salad after having two bites. It was weird that the waitress did not ask if I wanted something else she just said I will give you the salad for half price????? I understood it is a family restaurant so not a big deal. It was my fault for ordering a salad at a Vietnamese Restaurant. However, it seems like the pho is definitely popular here so we will be back for some of that.

YAAAAAS. Finally a restaurant that advertises cultural food and amazing customer service, and you actually get BOTH. I tried Dang's recently and fell in love. I was greeted and helped by a very bubbly young girl that knew her stuff. So happy I gave you guys a shot and will continue to give my business here and tell my friends all about you guys. Literally the best Thai food in Bend for sure.

I don't understand why one review thinks this place dirty. It is absolutely not true. In fact, the most noticeable quality of this restaurant is, SUPER CLEAN. Since we moved to Bend, this is one of our favorite and trusted places to grab something to eat. Very consistent, and very fresh. The staff is very friendly. The price is super reasonable. No wonder, we heard some people go eat there almost everyday. We love Vietnamese food. Honestly, it's not the best Vietnamese food we have ever had. But it is definitely the best in Bend. It's enough for us to feel satisfied. It's so light and healthy as well. It's great for after a big bike ride and workout. The pho will definitely fix you up.

I was pleased with my meal here. I picked up food to-go and it was ready quick. The chicken salad was my favorite of the three items. The chicken tasted very good. I liked the flavor of the pho but was a little disappointed because it didn't come with fatty brisket as requested. It only included top round which was a bit overdone. But I liked the menu, the restaurant had a nice feel and the service seemed friendly.

Seriously so good! We stopped in a few days ago, and oh my! I had to stop myself from eating because I was full and just wanted to keep shoving more in my mouth. Ha ha. Seriously, the Chicken Cashew is so delicious. Love this restaurant! Super clean, and friendly staff, and AMAZING FOOD.

Really disappointed in their pho. Their salad wrap was okay. But honestly totally disappointed in their pho. Maybe it's worth trying other non-soup dishes?

Driving through Bend we decided to stop here for a quick bite. It was my first time here and honestly, other than pho I can't say I'm an expert in Vietnamese fare. While I like pho, it doesn't fill me up for a meal so I asked the lovely owner what he recommends to someone to give them an authentic Vietnamese experience. He told me to get Imperial Rolls and Pork Grilled (V-3 on the menu) so I did. We also got the spring rolls as an appetizer. So, the spring rolls-- terrible. My husband warned me they sucked but I did not believe him. They are greasy and just not good if you are used to quality spring rolls. It was not off to a good start... Then my huge plate of food came. Now, since this was new to me, this plate looked INSANE. There was a pile of vermicelli noodles, some grilled pork, an imperial roll (Crispy rolls with fine ground pork, taro root, shrimp, glass noodles, served with chili sauce, like a spring roll), and then some accouterments like lime wedges. I asked how I should eat it and was informed I am supposed to pour the sauce over everything and then mix it all up. Even the deep fried spring roll?! Yes, even the deep fried spring roll (imperial roll, whatever). Ok, so I did that and my plate looked really gross and ungainly... I took a bite and WOW, amazing! This is one crazy crazy dish, clearly street food in Vietnam, and I loved every single bite. I would wholeheartedly order this insane concoction any day of the week. Oddly, the imperial roll tasted much better than the spring roll appetizer (phew!). My husband gets the veggie pho with extra veggies and loves it every time. It does taste pretty authentic so if pho fills you up, you can't go wrong here! This place is very casual and cheap but looks can be deceiving. I can't wait to return next time we're in Bend.

Had the pho, definitely no MSG--safe from turning into The-Thirst-Monster after the meal. Broth was soothing (as pho should be!) but not as flavourful as I'd like. Felt a little heavy on the anise or all spice or something, who knows. Friendly service.

Authentic, delicious and reasonably priced Vietnamese food in Bend!! All the pho is fantastic and pad thai is served hot and extremely flavorful!!

  • Lee M.

Though not the best Vietnamese food I've ever had, it was pretty decent. I got the pork chop and rice with a single, small egg roll. The pork chop is pretty good, though, I have had better. The vegetables were good. However, the egg roll was not that great and it was really small. My wife, a vegetarian, had the vermicelli with tofu and the two egg rolls. It was good but not the best she had had.

  • Susan A.

Have been here too many times to count! Always get the beef eye round pho and vietnamese coffee but have taken friends and family here over the years and they have enjoyed other meals as well.. The owner is friendly. This place isn't "cute" or themed; it's in a strip mall juxtaposed against a Carl's Jr. but it is a CLEAN (the reviewer who said it was dirty is clearly mistaken), family run establishment with no frills- just consistently good food.

Very good. The owner is very nice and cheerful. Food is slightly a fusion of Vietnamese and Cantonese. Yummy broth and salmon grill. The sandwich was meh. Prices are great. Great taste and great value overall.

I would give no stars but I haven't tasted the food. I called for take out and the lady asked me to hold a second so I did. 5 minutes later I decided to hang up thinking I was probably forgotten. I could hear a bunch of people in the background sounded like the kitchen crew. So I called back and let it ring for a minute and called 10 minutes later waiting one minute for someone to pick up and nothing then I waited 30 minutes to see if I could call right before I was going to get something else and nothing. They sounded good from the reviews but I wouldn't know.

After living in Seattle & Chicago in the past year & a half, I wasn't very hopeful to find solid Vietnamese options in central OR. Lucky for me, Dang's hit it outta the park. Shrimp & pork wonton soup was super fab, can't wait to explore the rest if the menu! Owners are very sweet, there seemed to be a lot of regulars, and although nearly empty when I first arrived a steady stream of hungry diners rolled through the doors. I'll be back.

Dangs is damn good. I go to Pho Viet every so often (I do like their menu better) - But Dangs Pho is awesome and all the goodies like hoisin and sriracha are on the table. Yesssssssss.

We were in the area for a few days and came here based on Yelp reviews. So, we had the highly mentioned Mango Salad and it was the best part of the meal. Make sure you get it when you're here. We had the Crispy Rice Bowl and Combo. Both were very good, full of flavor with plenty of meat and lots of veggies just what we wanted. We really liked the place and will stop in next time we're in town.

Recently opened (@ 4/18/13) owner operated, small restaurant makes the third Vietnamese eatery in Bend where once there were none. Food is really good and prices for each of the items on the traditional Vietnamese menu seem 15% to 20% lower than the other two Bend Vietnamese restaurants. (Both of those other restaurants, one on 97 north and one downtown, are owned by another person.) If we're craving Vietnamese food, Dang's is our new "go to" place. LOCATION: Located in a storefront that shares a parking lot with Outback Steakhouse just off of Highway 97, aka 3rd Street. While not the most beautiful of locations, it does provide the benefit of a private parking lot. AMBIANCE: Ambiance is spare, but sparkling clean. As interesting choice, country western music is played on the sound system but at a nice low level to allow conversation. I like it! Seating for maybe 45 at a combination of red vinyl booths and wooden tables and chairs. Nice space between tables. As you open the door you are greeted with the aromas of grilled pork and steaming broth and fresh herbs. It smells like good food and the promise is delivered on when the food reaches your table. MENU: The menu is broken down into appetizers, Pho (noodle soup), Com Dia (rice platters),Bun (vermicelli rice noodle bowls), Bahn Mi (sandwiches) and also include a couple of Vietnamese specialties, like a rice flour crepe called Bahn Xeo. Also on the menu are a few non Vietnamese items that seem to show up at all local Vietnamese restaurants, like Teriyaki and Yakisoba noodles. There are roughly 20 varieties of Pho offered and although this is traditionally made with beef, there were half a dozen options that did not include beef, one of which was vegetarian. Very nice. AUTHENTIC FOOD: Our server told us the owners are natives of Vietnam who found their way to Central Oregon via the San Francisco Bay area. The cook who came out of the kitchen to help deliver food was Vietnamese and the delicious flavors in the authentically prepared food demonstrated he was practiced in his craft. The salad rolls here ($4.00 vegetarian and $4.50 with shrimp and pork) are the best we've had in Central Oregon. The grilled lemongrass Banh Mi which is delicious and easily shareable by two is the best bargain on a Bahn Mi in Bend at only $3.95 for tofu or $4.95 for chicken or pork or $5.95 for beef. My husband and I also enjoyed Banh Xeo ($9.50), a large rice flour crepe , folded over a fiilling of pork, shrimp and bean sprouts. This dish was served with uber fresh leaf lettuce and fresh mint and sweet - sour - salt perfect traditional nuoac cham dipping sauce. We noted for each of the dishes we ordered how fresh were the raw veggies and herbs used with or in the food. Delightful. Pho ordered at an adjacent table arrived to perfume the space with the fragrant broth. We don't eat beef, but one of the seafood or vegetarian options will be on our "to try" list soon. Don't miss the house made pickled sweet / hot peppers that are in a condiment jar on each table. A blend of what seems to be Serrano and Jalapeno peppers, these add a delicious kick. VALUE: Prices range from $4.00 for vegetarian salad roll (easily shareable by two) that comes with peanut sauce to small bowls of Pho for $7.95 and large bowls for $8.95 to $11.50 for the special combination Bun that includes egg rolls, shrimp and pork. Dinner for two of salad rolls, Bahn Xeo and Bahn Mi was only $18.00 before tip. LIBATIONS: No liquor license but soft drinks and traditional Vietnamese beverages are available. The latter including Vietnamese coffee, hot or iced, mango shake, avocado shake, Thai iced tea and for the very brave at heart even Durian juice. (Go ahead and drink that, I double dog dare ya. :-) ) SERVICE: Our server was very friendly, personable and welcoming. THIS N THAT: 1) UNIVERSAL ACCESS: Fully accessible from parking in lot (including ADA parking) through level in entry and throughout. 2) HOURS: Seven days a week, roughly 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. 3) TAKE OUT: They have it!

First thing I must say... OMG MANGO STICKY RICE! I can eat 10 of those as appetizers!! My husband and I stumbled upon this place while we were on our way to Crater Lake for camping. We were craving some good noodle dish so we decided to give this place a try. The mango sticky rice was SO GOOD. The lemongrass tofu and veg spring roll vermicelli noodles were pretty good also. My husband had some pork noodles - I had a bite and I thought it was okay.

The Phó was decent. Broth had a mild flavor, not bad but not amazing either. Nice flavor and importantly texture on all the beef styles, the tendon was a little firm but time in the broth solved that. For the great white wasteland of Central Oregon this bowl was a five. But in the grand scheme it's a three, which honestly is still a good bowl of Phó. Next time I'm in bend and I need Phó, I'll head straight here.

Dang's. Is. Amazing. My boyfriend and I order their takeout at least once every other week. They never fail to impress!! I'm head over heels in LOVE with their pho!! (Lean brisket comes to mind) If you haven't tried it yet, you're missing out on an unforgettable flavor experience!!!

A gem of a place in Bend, OR. Stopped here for lunch on our way back from climbing South Sister and were pretty much dead and exhausted. Got the veggie spring rolls and the Chicken in yellow curry made vietnamese style. The spring rolls were perfect with some interesting fillings, and the chicken yellow curry was fantastic. I also ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee, and they brought it out in an authentic coffee dripper, with coffee dripping drop by drop over sweet condensed milk! Tasted awesome! never knew that vietnamese coffee was made that way!

My husband and I are frequent diners here. The food is a great value for how much you get and the best part is (and most important to me) that it is always consistent. My one complaint/suggestion would be to please show on the menu that all of the banh mi's are served with pate on them. Pregnant women are supposed to avoid it, so it is important to show so we can request it be left off if needed. But the actual meat and bread for the Bahn mi are great! Thank you for being so consistent!

Not sure why I just gave it four stars before... But 5 star all the way. Only way to make it better would be to give us a bigger, deeper spoon so we can slurp up the broth at a faster pace:))

While staying in a nearby hotel, I wanted good food without having to go back into downtown Bend. A Yelp search turned up some positive reviews, so figured I'd check it out. I ordered vegetarian Pho, which was a good deal for the price, had lots of fresh veggies in it, but wasn't overly exciting. Judging from other plates coming out of the kitchen, I think the pho and noodle dishes are the way to go. The food was decent, service was fast and friendly, but unfortunately the overall strip mall vibe permeates Dang's. Pros: * Friendly, fast service * Plenty of menu options * Good price point * Parking Cons: * Ambiance

The best ethinic restaurant in Central oregon! try the smoothies... i have yet to try other dishes because the pho is out of this world (had nice and complex flavors as well there own fish sauce)

Dang's makes an EXCELLENT Pho and the other dishes have all been wonderful as well. We come here at least once a week - sometimes more. I love their lemongrass chicken, but you really just can't go wrong with the pho!

In town from Seattle hit this place because of the rating which by the way is well earned. Had the chicken curry. Fantastic, authentic seasonings and flavors. Only request is they need to offer brown rice. The service was spot on. The girl that works there is awesome.

@ Cat N. You consider this place overpriced? You won't find $8 or $9 dishes at most restaurants in town. The cost of pad thai at Noi is around $14... and only $8.50 at Dang's (which until recently, used to be $7.50). Not only is it double the price, but t

Very similar to Pho Viet plus a few perks like avocado smoothies. Interior is a bit boring and it's in a weird location, but otherwise very good. We've actually never eaten in, just done take-out, so I have no idea about their service except that they let us sit and bring us water while we wait for our food.

After leaving Seattle at the crack of dawn and finding only fast food options along the way, I was determined to find something more interesting for lunch. Out of curiosity, I looked up Vietnamese food and found this place and better yet, it was located right off of the highway. The owner happily greeted us and took our order. He's originally from SF and makes a 48 hour trip back down once a month to buy supplies for the restaurant. This place was good and clean. The banh xeo is one of the better ones I've had in the states after having the real deal in Nha Trang. I also ordered some sandwiches to go which made an excellent road snack. Off topic, I asked the owner if there were a lot of Viets in Bend. "Oh yes, a ton of us", he replied, "there must be at least forty of us now." That made me laugh. =)

Great Pho. Had the distinct pho smell that I love so much. Service was good except the waiter didn't know any Vietnamese at all so you had to order by number. Otherwise, it was a good dining experiennce.

    - Pretty decent Vietnamese food joint for being in Central Oregon - The Pho tastes pretty authentic - Rice plates, vermicelli, etc... all taste pretty decent too - Menu is pretty well-rounded so don't be afraid to try new things! - Service is always fast

Dangs has become one of my favorite restaurants in Bend. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service is friendly and prompt. Open 7 days a week Monday - Saturday 9:30AM - 9:00PM Sunday 10:30AM - 9:00PM They simmer their broths 16 -18 hours and you can taste the care that goes into it. It is a very clean establishment and the prices can't be beat. See ya soon Dang's! Salute

Easily the best Vietnamese place in town and at leasts it's pho and rice dishes hold up to anything you would find in Seattle or Portland. We hit it up fairly regularly and have never been let down. Highly recommended. The atmosphere and service are fine and what I expect from a no frills southeast Asian type place. I really love this place and can't quite put my finger on it. It feels like your neighborhood cafe or diner and has food that makes you feel good.

As former residents of the San Francisco Peninsula, we've had our share of pho, where restaurants specializing in this Vietnamese soup are abundant. I've had ok, good and great bowls of pho over the 20 years I've been eating it, and Dang's ranks with the very best of the best. I had the pho tai (with thin sliced top sirloin strips) and my wife had the pho chin (brisket slices). What sets this particular variety apart is the delicacy and quality of the beef broth. There's a slight extra cinnamon, and a smaller amount of the charred white onion strips, that sometimes can overpower a pho broth. But everything's perfectly balanced, light, with the thinnest pho banh noodles complimenting the broth. I make this soup it home; it's complicated, time-consuming, and any one of the spices or ingredients used, as well as any mis-step in the technique, can result in a less than perfect broth. This one was perfect. We don't have a tremendous selection of Vietnamese restaurants here, but this is certainly the best by far. The service was quick and efficient, the restaurant (and what I could see of the kitchen) were immaculate, and the prices were a dollar less than their competitors up the street (for a much better product). Highly recommended.

This place is really delicious. Added bonuses: It's super affordable and down to earth (both are hard to come by in Bend). I especially liked the broccoli beef.

Delicious food every time my husband and I go! The owner is super friendly, and you can tell people feel really comfortable - lots of regulars, which I like when I go out to eat. I've had both the Pho and the pad thai, and both times were delicious. The salad rolls were heavenly. Overall, a great place, and I highly recommend it!

Wow. Authentic pho and bahn mi. We will be back for sure! All the ingredients were super fresh and my pho was nice and spicy. The bahn mi had great pate on it and the baguette was the well made.

I love SE Asian food, so I'll focus on that here and not table arrangements, service and atmosphere which are well covered elsewhere. My Roast Duck Pho was excellent with four or five pieces of rich meat, a clear, clean herb and spice inflected broth, mushrooms, carrots and cabbage with a bit of broccoli, all crisp tender. So much, I brought half home for breakfast with an egg. The beef pho equally good. The roast duck and roast pork belly were just not warm enough, but good quality meat and prep. I liked the pork dumplings more than the shrimp but, our table liked hem equally. We would go again.

Yummy and fresh. Great to watch Basterball playoff games on dual big screens. One fopa is that the young guy serving us didn't really know the ingrediants in the dishes. Otherwise will be back.

Very, very good, especially for central Oregon. The food is authentic, the owners are nice, the portions are good sized and the price is right. What more could you ask for? Bend doesn't have that many options for Vietnamese food. Dang's raises the bar.

Place smelled great when I walked in and I got a booth right away....yay! I am a slow orderer when I go to a new place and waiter was polite and did not rush me. Ordered a Jasmine tea and they were out....? At a Vietnamese joint? Ok. So I took green... and I had to say wtf to myself when I got a mug and tea bag like at a diner.... Where is my cute tea pot? Lol! I ordered the V3 Rice Vermicelli Bowl w/ imperial roll & Pork. My taste buds started doing a happy dance from the 1st bite. I had never had this before usually just Pho, but everything from the noodles to the pork and that tasty fish sauce was yummm! Came back the next day to try the Pho. And it was equally delicious (I get chicken since I'm not a huge red meat fan). Now it's almost 2 months later and I'm finishing my review (my phone died in the middle of last review and I clearly never finished lol). Today is the 2nd evening in a row that I have dined at this lovely little place (well ordered take out) and the food (V3 both visits this trip) was hot with perfect, not skimpy, portions when I got back to my hotel (about 2 miles + a stop @711). Portland has A LOT of Vietnamese joints yet I when I'm home all I want & crave is Dang's.

I love Dang's Vietnamese Restaurant!! I just moved back to the area after 6yrs. I stumbled on this place sense it is on my way home from work. I had been craving some really good pho for weeks, so was hoping for the best. Ordered, ate, sighed a blissful sigh. There food is fantastic, it's fresh and authentic. I have ordered out and I have stayed and enjoyed the atmosphere and friendly service. This is a place I almost don't want anyone to know about so I can keep it all to myself.

Back in Bend for a visit. Moms took us to Dang's in lieu of the other Vietnamese joint we used to visit and it's really good. Moms raved about it. She said she enjoyed everything she's tried and it's at a better value. This visit we had the: Vietnamese crepe - eat it quickly before the crepe gets soggy. Nice taste - is it made with coconut oil?- and comes with a side of very fresh vegetables. Fresh rolls - really good, love the mint. Fried spring rolls - also yummy though a bit heavy handed with the black pepper. Chicken salad - The chicken was well seasoned but the salad was the best part. It was light and refreshing though it's more like a slaw with very thinly sliced cabbage. The dressing was yummy and reminiscent of Burma Superstar's Rainbow Salad in San Francisco. The Bro enjoyed his rice dish with pork and eggs. The best part of the meal was the Vietnamese iced coffee and the avocado shake. I came back three days in a row for them as I leave tomorrow. Very refreshing! Would be perfect for summer. I forced myself to finish every drop and then ended up freezing as winter's almost here in Bend! Great and friendly and fast service too!

Good food but they need to fine tune menu and portions. Went here with my wife and we ordered an order of spring rolls to share and we each had a BBQ pork bahn mi. The bahn mi is only $5, which is great, but there was so little pork in there! Maybe they need two sizes? I'd be willing to pay more for a more filling sandwich, but I wouldn't want to order 2 because I really don't need all that bread. The food tasted great but we were still hungry when we left.

I hope this is not the best pho in Bend because it was mediocre at best. Why does this place serve Thai and Chinese too?

Best Asian restaurant in Bend and definitely the best Vietnamese restaurant. The owners are very nice and make their food fresh versus using a microwave to warm up pre made and older food.

Didn't expect to have such a good pho place in Bend, as the Chinese restaurants disappointed us so much no matter where we tried .

Pros: clean nice decor. Possibly one of the few if not the only Vietnamese Pho noodle restaurant in Bend, Oregon. Cons: For a noodle house, food took a long time to come out. Prices are expensive for the small portions they give you. This is an mid range average pho noodle house. It is quite possible that the only reason this establishment is doing well is the the fact that it is possibly the only Vietnamese pho restaurant in the area with no other competition. Having had Vietnamese noodle soup in Little Saigon in city of Westminster, CA and throughout Los Angeles, I can say for sure that I have experienced a broad range of Pho noodle houses. The noodle broth is average and the meat is mid average quality. Anyone who has had pho noodle elsewhere will for sure agree. While the food is average here, it does do a good job of exposing Vietnamese Pho noodles and makes it available to the public who probably is trying out pho noodles for the first time. If your lucky enough to visit Los Angeles, CA, Try Pho Hong Long in Gardena, CA for a True Pho noodle experience.

This place is the bomb. I've eaten a lot of pho and this is hands down, best I've ever had. Decent prices and nice staff too.

This is a very good Vietnamese place to go. We came from Portland but we can find this place in this little town. It was hard for me to believe they have much more dish choices than the Vietnamese restaurant we went in Portland. Their Phi Tai taste so good. Must try.

For Bend, Dangs's Vietnamese is a "5". In the universe of Vietnamese food Dang's is a 4. However, since the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable, the value here is great. That brings up to a "5" again. Having trouble following my logic? Oh well.

Walking into Dang's I thought I was in an ethnic hole-in-the-wall restaurant somewhere in San Francisco. Nothing fancy here, but a pleasant atmosphere - complete with a flat screen showing some Vietnamese variety show - combined with good service from the family owners and good food made for a really good dinner experience. The seafood in my wife's fried rice was cooked perfectly while the grilled shrimp and pork in my dish were nothing short of absolutely delicious. There are lots of menu choices, most around $10 +/- a couple dollars. I can hardly wait to go back and try some of the other menu choices, which appear to be pretty authentic.

Fourth dinner at Dang's and it does not disappoint. Real and delicious Vietnamese food from gracious owners and a polite and attentive staff.

Dangs has become our go to restaurant! My boyfriend and I love it here. I pretty much always get the same thing...veggie pho and veggie salad rolls. My bf changes it up every so often but is always happy with what he gets. Great prices for delicious food!

5 stars for the Pho, which was great. Went here twice in the last week. The first time I shared a Seafood Pho, but I liked it so much I had to come back so I could have a whole one myself. Service was excellent both times. The first time I also shared a Firecracker Chicken, with extra veggies instead of rice (because they didn't have brown rice and I don't eat the white stuff). It was good, but not up to the level of the outstanding Pho. Definitely worth a visit.

Passable pho but still nothing to rave about. Always friendly service. Good curries.

We have lived in Eugene for 9 years but spent 5 years in the bay area where we were spoiled with plentiful and delicious southeast Asian food. We've been searching for the real deal ever since and no place can seem to get it right. Until now. The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is clean and looks like a legit Vietnamese pho restaurant. We ordered salad rolls and vermicelli bowls. The rolls were obviously made on the spot for us as the shrimp was still warm. They were perfect. The vermicelli bowls were finally what we've been looking for. Noodles were perfectly cooked which no other place in Bend or Eugene can seem to do. Pork and egg rolls in the dish were spot on and all the other ingredients were perfect. We wanted to go back the next day for breakfast, highly recommended. Can't wait for winter to try the pho!

This was such a great meal! Pulled into the parking lot for a late lunch (3pm) and Outback was closed. We were hungry so we went next door to Dang's. We ordered potstickers, fresh rolls, chicken yakisoba, pho and some pork dish with vegetables and sunnyside up eggs that my husband randomly picked out that turned out to be DEE-LISH!! Actually everything was great! What a nice, random surprise!

Just ate at at Dang's and we were extremely happy. The food was very flavorful...even the broth was delicious. Everyone was friendly and attentive. My husband asked our waitress to order for him and he was very happy with her selection. It was a good experience all around. We will be back.

Owner and his wife (she's also the cook) are very kind and welcoming. The food was delicious and priced right. Haven't found anything on the menu that wasn't good.

About me: I've lived in San Francisco bay area for over 10 years where vietnamese food is everywhere. I've been to Laos which is a bordering country to vietnamn where Pho is also popular. Food: I ate the Pho. Doesn't get more authentic. The broth was excellent. You can eat a whole large bowl without getting saturated with the flavor which is more than can be said for the other vietnamese places in town. The meat was also excellent. If you don't like this Pho, then you don't like Pho and should stop trying, that's really how simple it is. Ambiance: Typical for what you'd expect from a Vietnamese place in the bay area. Very casual, but you're here for the food, not for the beauty. Hospitality: Excellent. We chatted at length with the owner. He had been running a successful vietnamese restaurant in San Francisco Bay Area ( Mountain View ) for 30 years and knows the business and the food very well. I meant it when I said it doesn't get better. He was very friendly, and we enjoyed speaking with him very much. Price: Small bowl $6.95 and large $7.95. This is standard Pho price these days. Summary: Best place in town. Don't bother going anywhere else. If you want authentic vietnamese food, this is it.

I used to live in SF area and ate Vietnamese food all the time for lunch. Dang's pho was as savory as any I have tasted. I ordered P8, as I like leaner beef. My friend's lunch was beautifully presented and I think more than she could eat! The restaurant is new, very clean and pleasant. The prices are exactly what I would expect for a nice lunch these days. Very friendly owner who shared his story with us. Glad we had a chance to talk with him. Don't be afraid to ask for details about the menu items, they are very helpful answering questions! Try it, you'll like it!

Fabulous Pho, tasty Bahn mi, friendly service, clean environment. Only thing that I would have changed was the condiments on the Bahn mi sandwich. I prefer to have a quick pickled salad of carrots, daikon, and cucumbers with fresh slices of jalapeño with spicy mayo. Based on the pho alone, Dang's would get 5 stars. This place is a must stop if you are in Bend and a fan of Vietnamese food.

I love pho! And this place is the Bomb, tried to say the owner to share his secret broth but all I got out of him was a bottle of fish sauce, flying Lion brand. Delicious! I just had to take it home.

Really nice fresh food at extremely reasonable prices. Loved the beef pho, the pad thai was pretty good, but the fresh chicken mango salad was out of this world. Will definitely support this local Bend restaurant.

What can I say? Did not expect the food to be this good when we walked in the restaurant. Hubby already had a good feeling when he saw the menu, a classic LA authentic Vietnamese one with pages of selections. We ordered Pad Thai, V3 which is a cold rice noodle with grilled pork slices and fried rolls, and BBQ pork sandwich. It turned out hubby is absolute right. Every dish was excellent! We were blown away! Hands down this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Bend. Our favorite Asian restaurant! Thank you Dang for raising the bars! Can't wait to try other dishes!

This place is really good and has confrimed that they do not add artificial flavors (e.g., MSG) or colors/dyes. We chose a couple of chicken dishes, from the rice platter menu, with lemon grass and both were outstanding with plenty of meat. The waiter was also excellent. I would add another star when they start offering chicken rib meat and brown rice. Oh, it is also very clean and the chef/owner is cool.

Delicious! We had a couple of dishes and they were both excellent! Their dipping sauce is really good, the meats all tender and the veggies super fresh. Mint added to the crepe goodies, dipped in the sauce, yummy. We will be back for sure!
