Great food with an authentic Portuguese taste! I eat here for breakfast and lunch on a regular basis and have never left disappointed or hungry or broke. Since I am a huge futbol fan I make it a point to eat here on game days, as it is the perfect place to drink a beer, eat a sandwich or hobo-scramble and watch the big match without feeling like you are in a sports bar with lousy fried food. Truly like a European pub on any corner of any cool Portuguese town.

Enjoyed a great lunch : soup of the day (= roasted vegetables w/spicy sausage) with the wilted spinach salad! The service was friendly and we really enjoyed the artwork. We'll be back!

We were in town visiting from Portland. And maybe that's the problem. Living in p-town we are very spoiled when it comes to food. I got the veggie omelette special which was ok. The peppers and mushrooms were cooked well but all the cheese was at one end so half the bites only had cheese and the others had none. It was supposed to be accompanied by home fries. When the plate came there were exactly 6 potato pieces. For nearly 9 bucks (yikes!!!!) I felt ripped off. The coffee was ok but nothing special or even notable especially for a place that calls it's self a cafe. One friend got scrambled eggs and a side of potatoes which he liked but was shocked that it cost him $7. The other friend got the oatmeal and said it was quite good, however the 'side of fruit' that came with it was just a plate of banana slices. Again for the high price it was really disappointing. Maybe Bend is just ridiculously expensive when it comes to eating out so my expectations are out of whack, but for the same high prices I suspect there are places with better food and better coffee. I'd like to mention however that the service was really nice. The people were friendly and the service was fast.

I'm sorry but I was disappointed here - ex: $ 3 orang juice is not fresh squeezed - waitress did not offer or bring water - eggs were runny - food over priced - bread and sausage were good - small bit of potatoes

Sintra is a breath of fresh air in the usual Bend breakfast and lunch fare. The Portuguese style food is familiar but the taste is just unique enough to make you think you are not in Central Oregon. The coffee is good too. Sometimes it can be noisy. They play some good Soccer matches too and that is a fun atmosphere. Ask Manuel to make you a "Cortado" which is a small Euro coffee drink that is KILLER!

Staying in Sunriver near this Cafe and decided to try it for a late morning breakfast. The food was quite tasty. I personally had the spinach eggs benedict. It's served on fresh toast (no english muffin) but was delicious. I prefer my hollandaise sauce with a touch of citrus and this has just the right touch. Red potatoes were fresh and crispy. Everyone else seemed pleased with their choices..pancakes, french toast trios. Fresh bread is served with all meals alongside some delicious jams. Juice and milk glasses were on the small side. Mimosa was nice sized and portioned properly. Only complaint...this really needs to be an order at table restaurant. Unless you've been there before (which I imagine at a resort is semi unusual) you need to choose a table, study the menu..then order. The entire table does not want to treck back to the front of the restaurant to order once settled. An easy transition for this restaurant. And profitible I imagine because who really wants to trapse back to the front, stand in line, when you really just want one more fabulous mimosa?? :-) Still a fan though!! And if you are staying locally you can ride your bike there and work off the calories. Try it!

The food was amazing! My wife had the French Toast Trio with scrambled eggs and sausage. The French Toast was made with French type bread, different but it definitely works! The eggs were scrambled to perfection and the sausage was spicy but not overwhelming. I had the Sunriver Bistro which is one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I'd give the overall restaurant five stars but the house coffee wasn't as strong as I would expect from an Italian restaurant. The staff was all smiles and very friendly.

Very unique having food from Portugal. The meats, cheeses and bread are all very authentic and as good as it gets! We had lunch, but will be back soon for breakfast. Also, the owner is very friendly!
