Excellent Food! Perfectly prepared and delicious! Twin Lobster tails tasted as if We were in Maine. Wine list is excellent as were the prices. The owner stopped by the table, and offered suggestions about places to visit, as well as locating a retailer for his excellent Lobster tails. We loved this restaurant and during our meal, sitting in the outside dining area, a local youth percussion band was performing. Fantastic evening!

Service was great! All staff were very attentive and polite. Our server was very knowledgable about the menu and very patient with our indecisive crowd. Food was expensive but amazing. We had the fish special, ribeye, scallops, and crab cakes. Everybody loved everything. We also got wine and cocktails. The berry-lemon drop and pear martini were perfect! 5 stars all around! :)

Food was good, service was not. Waitress had a hard time hearing us, which was a little annoying. Perhaps she should serve in the back room and not bar area. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is not it! Our orders were a little messed up, the request for no chicken on my daughters dish was ignored-she is vegetarian, so she refused to eat, they did not offer to fix. Not a great place for a family celebration, prob a great place for girls night out.

Great atmosphere. Love the creative cocktails.

I went here for happy hour with a friend. No special occasion other than we were hungry and wanted drinks. The waiter was friendly. Always a plus. Then the steak burgers and fries we ordered arrived. Let's just say I'm thankful the meal came with fries. The burger was so bland and the consistency was unappetizing on it's own. No seasoning added at all (ever hear of salt and pepper?). The patty was soggy. As if they were frozen and thawed out when I ordered it. Not fresh. I'm never going to order this burger again. Nor should you. The place is nice although somewhat stuffy and so far that's the only thing that keeps me coming. Still waiting for a more legit reason. Maybe next time...

A great steakhouse with an even more fantastic bar. Had a seafood linguine that was on point and had lots of salmon, shrimp, halibut and scallops. The service was prompt and efficient while being friendly. A great spot for a special dinner. Cheers.

Very nice evening with my wife and my daughter and her boyfriend. We each tried a different special cocktail and they were all outstanding. (My Brickhouse martini was the best, tho). Seafood linguine, 8 oz filet mignon, halibut, chicken...we all tried something different and everything was outstanding.

good: lamb chops, prawns, creamed spinach. average: steaks, tuna poor: uninspired side dishes ( a mold of white rice? the same tired snap peas and carrots on each plate? a cold baker?) our server needs to hide his disdain for the public a little better. typical bend

Met a friend for happy hour on Friday afternoon/evening. We started out our adventure with the house red and some clams. The broth for the clams was everything you would ever want! We then shared a crab cakes entree order on our servers recommendation. Truly amazing! I love crab cakes and hate the filler you get when ordering out. It was so great to have moist and delicious crab cakes rolled in panko - not stuffed with panko - that felt worth their cost! They came with a beautiful rice, some veg and a really beautiful micro citrus salad that complemented the cakes perfectly! We finished off our meal with a Spanish coffee and shared praline cheesecake... Having been to New Orleans, I had high expectations for the cheesecake, it did not disappoint! Overall we had a great time and a delicious meal, and a service team that was friendly and helpful. Even while drinking wine and cocktails, I never once lacked water! I can't tell you how huge that is for me!! :) Good job Brick House!!

Second time is a charm. This experience was great. Walked in without a reservation, Got a table in a very reasonable amount of time despite the place being full. Waiter was attentive and explained the menu question I had. Food was excellent, prepared to my liking the first time. Good atmosphere, Will happily return. Many thanks.

Two perfect rib eye steaks and one over-salted, but otherwise tasty, halibut special on 10/20/13. We were delighted to be in a quiet back room, making for comfortable conversation. The server was a pleasant young woman who seemed very concerned when I mentioned how salty the fish was. I didn't want to send it back, since it was edible, just wanted to give some feedback to the kitchen. Better not to go whole-hog with the shaker, since so many people need a lower-sodium diet; let us add our own to taste. The blue cheese mashed potatoes were "pretty good, a little dry," according to my husband. I was offered, and accepted, a sample of the coconut bearnaise sauce, which I found extremely sweet. (A brief rant: The whole sugary sauce with coconut shrimp, etc. thing really leaves me cold--there's no complexity, and way too much sugar to be pleasant with anything other than dessert. I would not have been a fan of the "sweet meats" of old...) All in all, a pleasant dinner and the steak eaters were pleased, which was the main reason we went to the Brick House.

Service was unfriendly and not attentive. I have been craving a great steak, and being pregnant did not want it underdone and explained this quite clearly to the waitress. Ordered medium-medium well and it came out blue rare. Sent it back and it came back medium rare at best. On top of that the expensive add on Demi- glacé and mushrooms were bland and flavorless. Wedge salad had bland dressing. We were seated very close to the food window and watched the expo chewing gum and shoving his face into our crab cocktail. This was overall a horrible and expensive experience. We were not apologized to, offered dessert, really no acknowledgement was made that our experience was not great. We left with a bad taste in our mouths literally and figuratively. Would not recommend to anyone.

Food was adequate. Salad & appetizers were good. Steaks were not that good. Service was HORRIBLE. Waitress messed up our order in several different ways including size of steak and how to prepare it. Waitress was unapologetic and just asked "will this work?" When we spend over $200, we hope for better service. The sad thing is we really enjoyed this place the last time we visited. We will not be back.

Great new location but services was poor. Our waiter was also tending bar and not keeping up with what we needed. At least 4 other waiters standing around not busy either. Probably wont go back.

Food was good, service was not. Had to wait forever for our drinks and our food. For there being so many great restaurants in Bend, they need to step it up to compete.

Food was great. We had Julie as a waitress she was not friendly, just overall not good service. Lived in Bend my whole life we are friendly people & she wasn't.

I'm not entirely sure why there are so many 4-star reviews for a 5-star restaurant. Maybe they had to work out some issues? We ended up here on a Sunday night because our first choice, The Blacksmith, was not serving food after 8:30pm and my spouse steered us toward another restaurant - 900 Wall? It was around the corner and had pretty light fixtures - and didn't double-check the name of the restaurant so we unintentionally ended up at Brickhouse. And I am glad that serendipity intervened. Food was phenomenal, and our server (Aaron S.) knew where the ingredients were sourced and was eager to discuss the details. Nice! He was also patient. I had the seafood linguine, with the beef carpaccio to start. It would be very hard to order other things on the menu, now that I've had both these things, because they were outstanding and I'd want to order them again. Spouse had the ribeye and a wedge salad to start. This is where the patience of our server came in, because the spouse is verrrry particular about doneness, and the difference between rare/medium rare, and was waffling about what he'd eat to start with. So a sixty second order took about four minutes, and Aaron didn't even roll his eyes (which I was doing). Restaurant staff who deal well with our kid in the spectrum are a rare and wonderful thing. I was initially sure the woman who seated us was giving us attitude, but I may have been overthinking things and every staff member was wonderful. They were all dealing with some drunks on a Sunday night. And this was the most impressive part: They were accommodating with the slurring group of wine-guzzlers sitting outside on the sidewalk, but I watched them very nicely cut them off. Very well-handled, very professional. Most restaurants would have just 86'd this group, or put up with the obnoxious jerks as the other customers were scared away. And, again, this was a Sunday night. Who the hell gets sh*t-faced on a Sunday night? The space is flipping gorgeous, too. It may get loud at times, just from the acoustics. Seems like a minor negative. This is the sort of place that would do well in Mill Valley or Santa Monica. We have yet to have a mediocre meal in Bend, but this place is our favorite so far.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner with family and friends. Waiter attentive and food was scrumptious

Last week while visiting friends in Bend, we dined at The Brickhouse. The seafood linguine was fabulous with lots of shrimp, salmon, etc. the fish tacos were delicious. Definitely retuning to The Brickhouse on my next visit to Bend.

It was very disappointing eating at this restaurant. I went for my birthday and was treated terrible by my server. At the end of the meal, he brought me a candle on a plate....no ice cream or anything! I told the manager and he said it was policy to not waste ice cream. I spent $130 on dinner and I left feeling very disapointed!

Bartenders are awesome, shared the history of the restaurant with us while we had drinks. Shocked that there were bad reviews; this place has clearly changed!
