Wow! Great Burger! If you want to go back in time to when burgers were made to order this is a great place to go. Quality and service is great, too many options and sizes of burgers to list. Prices for the mini-burger start at $5 and this include all the good stuff like lettuce-tomatoes and onions. They have great milk shakes. Bend is blessed with a number of great burger joints this one rates with the best. Put this on your must try list, you'll love it.

We have visited both Bend Burger locations, and found the old one, near Drake Park, convenient, if a little dirtier than their new location on 3rd street. The tables feel greasy, as was the burger I got (the Mirror Pond). However, it was tasty after you soaked up all the grease with a napkin, and the french fries are excellent. The burgers unfortunately aren't very good as leftovers, since the grease soaks through into the bun. They do have a tiny burger special that you can order, and add cheese, bacon, etc. They still charge the full extra amount to add toppings, but it is nice that there is a smaller sized option. I wish that they would make alternate mini burger options, as they're really the perfect size! The service, as others have noted, is pretty mediocre at the downtown location. It seems lackluster, like the employees don't enjoy working there. We received friendlier, more efficient service at the 3rd street location, however, the downtown location has better people watching, and a large lot nearby that you can park in for free, for 2 hours.

Had the mini burger and it was a perfect size for me. Food was fresh and staff was friendly.

My hubby and I just drove in to Bend and we were craving a good hamburger and a beer. On the recommendation from the desk clerk, we found exactly what we wanted! We both had the Bend Burger. I wanted the fries that comes with it. My hubby ordered onion rings. Oops! He received fries by mistake! Our waitress quickly turn around and 30 seconds later, he had the onion rings and she apologized for the error. He devoured the fries & onion rings! The fries were so flavorful. The secret sauce was tart and tangy. Mmmmm!

Got four bacon cheeseburgers one hour before closing. Burgers where wonderful; staff not so nice. My phone order took forever as the young girls working the counter had very little product knowledge. Maybe just my experience, burgers where worth the effort.

Food was great. The fries(the ones that just come with the burger) were the best fries I've ever eaten. Burger was great, service was great. Took my dad who is from out of town and he loved it too.

Absolutely, hands down, the BEST tasting burger in Bend!!!! I love the Deschutes Burger with pineapple and ham. Soooo yummy! The sweet potato tots are unique and delish. But my favorite is the sauce they serve with it!! Service is always great and the place is super clean. MUST GO TO BBC!!

It's alright, not good not bad just alright. The staff are nice and friendly , but they also take 20 minutes to make a burger. I'd rank them slightly above fast food but your also paying twice the amount. If you want a great burger just go to hardys

Went here few days ago & meant to write review- best burger I have had in awhile! Bacon cheeseburger- delicious! Great burgers, fair price, definitely going back!

Went here this afternoon and even though it's a burger joint I got the pulled pork sandwich and a marion berry shake. I admit, there was a wait, I was warned, and was out killing time anyway so it was a perfect afternoon lunch date. Will be back again for sure. The shake was amazing, also like that it's served still in the metal cup. :) Great atmosphere and decor as well!! Can't wait to take visitors here.

It's a great place for a sit down burger. The Plus the staff is friendly and they have Boneyard IPA on tap. It's not super impressive, it's just like any other burger joint that home rolls there burgers and buns. The good parts are it's in a great location of down town bend and it's a beautiful spot. That bad side is the there's not enough elbow room with the tables and I'm not a big guy. My wife got the Mirror Pond burger and it was incredibly greasy but very very flavorful and tasty. I got the basic chesseburger and it was excellent actually cooked perfectly. Bring your family abd friends ....come on down.

This place rocks! Best burger in town!

Get here early b4 the crowds and get treated to some of the best made cocktails ever. I think I was just treated to the best restaurant made mojito ever ! Ambiance is cool, chic with a Bend OR flare. On the corner downtown. Kitchen up front steaming up the local flavs. Bon appetit!

Really great burgers. Service not very helpful. You seat yourself but this was not explained. Waited a long time for our meals. It was good though and the sweet potato fries great.

  • Joseph D.

This place was great! The sweet potato tots are fantastic and the lava butte burger is fiery deliciousness. The tots were about $4 and the burger was $11. The food took a while to come out, which was surprising since they weren't busy at all, but it was well worth the wait.

I tried an order of the garlic fries and they were awful. Way undercooked and just too greasy to be enjoyable.

  • Jessie B.

We love the burgers here! And the BLT with a side of onion rings is enough for a couple of meals. The downtown location is pretty packed but worth the wait. We have been enjoying the new location over on 3rd street. Busy but always a way to find a seat. The staff there is cheerful and pleasant. Always coming by to check on our meal and water.

    (5)
  • Fredo C.

Two stars for the food and that's it. If you order take out, you'd better check your order twice as the staff will most likely forget something. Pricey for burger joint.

  • Mindy M.

UPDATE- I'm upgrading to 4 stars because we went to their new location on 3rd st this past weekend and the staff went above and beyond to be super nice and helpful! (Like, seriously the girl was sooo nice!) I think my burger was slightly under seasoned and the prices are still a little on the spendy side for a burger place. But overall a super yummy burger and fries option with a cool atmosphere. I'm not sure if the original location still has the offending employees or not and I don't think we'll be back to that location to find out anytime soon, either. The new location is bigger and has more parking which means it's worth the 3 minute drive for me.

Got the classic burger with bacon and a chocolate shake. I gotta say, this was the best burger I've had in a long time. The shake was awesome too. Not too expensive, and I didn't even feel crappy afterwards like I usually do when I overindulge in decadent food like this. I also loved the dog friendly outdoor seating. This is a great place for a burger and a shake!

Never coming back. We order two of the exact same burgers for pick up with two things on them and the dumb girls who work there can't even get it right. Waited over 45 minutes for two burgers we asked for CRISPY bacon and of course the fuck it all up and the wanna yell at us on our way out - each girl wants to tell use each twice to "have a great day" like some sarcastic bitches.

After reading some very disheartening reviews, I was cautiously hopeful in trying this place - but we were VERY pleasantly surprised. My husband had the Bachelor Brat burger, which was to die for - sooo tasty with a sausage/beef mixed party! Our kids (ages 6, 8) were perfectly thrilled with the Bond Street burgers, teen daughter loved the Deschutes, and teen son was excited to get a triple Bond Street burger. I had the green beans and added the smoked chicken breast. The beans were amazing! Full of flavor, lots of bacon and probably a full one pound of beans! I've still got another meals worth. The only slight downside was that the chicken was slightly dry, but still tasty. We received our food within 15 minutes of ordering and the girls working were super friendly, organized and efficiently cared for the dining area as patrons left. This is a great restaurant and we WILL be back!

Reviewing new location on 3rd. Great burger but took forever. Wasn't even crowded. About 30% full. A burger should never take more than 10 minutes and never close to 20 minutes.

This place has the best burger in town. Got the cascade and it was pretty amazing. Very filling.

Wish I could give this place 0 stars based on the customer service I received! The food was 4 stars but probably the worst service Ive experienced! I ordered a plain bacon cheese burger with just ketchup it comes to me loaded with veggies when I let the server know she looks at me and goes would you like a plate to scrap the stuff off?!? Seriously blew my mind

Good eats! The central location in downtown bend is very nice and convenient. The food is very good and accommodating to all ages. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bend burger is a good place to go out for a family dinner, but not so much on a romantic date.

    (4)
  • James T.

Food = 3 (very average... fries were too salty) Price = 1 (crazily overpriced for the quality and service) Experience = 2.5 (slow service... with an attitude)

    (2)
  • Matt L.

Hands down the worst customer service I have experienced in Bend in a long time. Can't say anything about the food because they never brought it out after an extremely long wait for a simple order. (never even got my drink) I did see many others getting served that came in after me though. Guess they were just too overwelmed......... so I just asked for my money back and left not to be seen there again. Oh, and I like how they have this big huge sign out front advertising the Bond Street Burger and Fries for $4.99, but what they don't tell you on the sign is that it is a mini-burger. Salute.

Mr. Owner...how many bad reviews with declining ratings do you need to read before you actually do something about it!? I decided it's one of two things. You suck at hiring great staff or the staff despises working for you and it shows. I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the first time we came the burgers and service was decent. The second time we came, it was a complete disappointment. We were trying to eat on the cheap and saw a massive looking burger with fries called the "Bond Street Burger" for $5 bucks on their poster walking by. We ordered and sat down and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited. FINALLY, a girl walked over with (what looked like a slider) and says "here's your mini burger." My husband and I say "we didn't order mini burgers" and she darts off (sliders in hand) without saying a word. SOOO RUDE!!! We were both completely perplexed. I'm now picturing the big "Bond Street Burger" poster out front in my minds eye and it certainly didn't look like a slider nor did the gal taking our order ever mention we were ordering a kiddie meal. For crying out loud...talk about false advertising! We continued to wait thinking our burgers must be coming out soon but nobody ever came back. Tic Toc Tic Toc...10 more minutes and my husband walks up to the counter to see what's up. It was then determined by staff the MINI burgers were indeed what we ordered and by now... mini cold burgers!!! Nice!!! I guess we could have sat there 30 more minutes waiting for the waitress to figure this all out. What a joke! We decided to just suck it up and eat our now ice cold 2 oz mini kiddo burgers because by then we were starving! The fries were so limp and filled with grease, so much so I had to squeeze them into my napkin prior to eating. The chocolate shake was one of the worst I've ever tasted. I would compare it to a shake you'd find at a typical drive-through. I couldn't even drink mine, save your money! Halfway through our meal I had to practically beg for a cup of water...twice! If your staff isn't interested in providing good customer service, get a big pitcher of water so we can serve ourselves. ADVISE TO MANAGEMENT: If you're not a great boss...be one! Get more help and hire staff that actually wants to work there! Train your staff to have manners and/or good customer service skills...or fire them! Take that deceiving Bend Burger poster down (that's really a kiddie meal) or make it clear it's only 2 oz when patrons are ordering! Get the food out within 15 minutes duh! P.S. Know that Bend offers some of the best burgers around...make me want to eat yours!

Pretty slow service but delicious burgers. Huge servings but if anyone has a boyfriend like mine I think most people can appreciate that. Location is great for any summer afternoon in the park.

  • Cindi S.

Worst service I've ever experienced! We were handed menus as we walked in and they said to choose a table. We waited. .and waited. . and waited..to order but the girl up front was too busy talking w her friends. I finally got up and went to the front and ordered from the front register. Wasn't too happy at this point! The food came pretty fast and was pretty dang good! Girl in front continued to chat n laugh w her friends(by the way. . No one else was in there but us).. and one of her friends flicked something near us n I could see the girl turn red n laugh! Real nice. ..grow up! Not sure why this girl is employed here. .. she obviously doesn't want to work! Never coming back!

The food is decent, the service was great., the prices are high! I just went there and got a Bend burger with bacon and cheese, substituted tots for the fries and a soda.....$16.04! I specifically ordered well done and received my burger only to find that it was medium at best. With no time left to order a new burger, I powered through it. I am still alive today with a much lighter wallet to show for it.

Great burgers in a very casual atmosphere. Our must stop place when craving a burger in Bend.

    (5)
  • Bill E.

I requested my burger to be cooked Medium vs. what they normally cook and it was done to perfection. Whole wheat bun was big enough to keep the burger contained and not spilling out everywhere. Appreciated the small selection of choice local beers on tap, keep it simple and delicious. Wasn't super stoked on the garlic fries, not sure if the garlic was fresh of from a can but something in the taste just didn't appeal to me. The sweet potato tots, which I am not usually a fan of, where outstanding! Service at the counter was very pleasant, will definitely come back when in town.

  • Austen A.

Good fries and an okay burger but they are both VERY VERY SALTY. It took over 30 mins for my food to arrive right after a lunch rush. If u need quick, hit subway, if you have time, this isn't bad.

Fun place for a burger and milkshake. Kid friendly but the adults will enjoy it too.

Awesome. Had the vegi burger, garlic fries, and tomatoe soup. *Delicious*!

  • Rob P.

I just want to rate this place better because the place was so adorable and the staff friendly. Unfortunately for $21 for two (chicken burger and regular burger) seems to be a miss. The flavors on my burger were just run of the mill, dare I say in-n-out pulls off a better burger. The chicken burger my Fiance had was sort of a miss too. Massive piece of chicken but nothing really going on. What did we love about this place? The friends, outdoor seating and the gal who served us.

  • Bend M.

Their burgers are pretty darn good. My husband has had their cheesesteak and says it was really good! The one thing that boggles my mind is that they have yet to fix their fry situation. They've been underdone or overdone every time I have visited. I suspect they don't do a double fry they just do one. They have sweet potato tots. So awesome. Skip the salads. Not so good.

    (4)
  • Alicia W.

Not your regular burger joint. BBC offers a fun selection of specialty burgers and their fries are pretty darn good too! I wouldn't head here for a date night but definitely for lunch or a quick dinner.

  • Christina M.

You will not have a better burger anywhere! The ambiance is perfect for families in Downtown Bend next to drake park. Spectacular food and atmosphere!

    (5)

The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is pretty good. Nice location in downtown Bend. If you go there you'll get a good burger at a reasonable price.

Jimmy Buffett sings "cheeseburger in paradise" but this place IS Cheeseburger Paradise!!! The Ponderosa burger was fantastic!!! Fun, friendly and great service! The place to go for A great burger!!! for those complaining that they "didn't even ask me how I want my burger prepared"? Most local health codes will not let restaurants serve medium rare or rare hamburger! Ecoli and other bacteria reside on the surface of meat and it isn't a problem on a whole steak, but when ground up in hamburger, it will be mixed throughout the burger, so it needs to be heated to 160 deg F to kill any bacteria. Gross but it is what it is! And I love Bend Burger!

  • Kristine A.

Nice location, fun atmosphere and staff, really good burger, Onion Rings were yummy and so were the sweet potato option. Seemed a little expensive but it is downtown. Milkshake. OMGgood. I would go here over Pilot Butte or Hardys everyday of the week. (If I could justify drinking that many milkshakes)

    (3)
  • Jeff C.

Awesome burgers but a little spendy. The milk shakes are great too. If you are in bend I would recommend stopping by this place and getting lunch. The food is pretty good and most of the employees were friendly. You could split a burger and a shake and be full.

    (4)
  • Julie M.

Boneyard IPA on draft. I ordered the mini burger and boyfriend got the mirror pond burger. Both were delicious. Ordered garlic fries instead I regular on the side and my burger came with regular. Didn't really matter to me, but the server pointed it out and brought back a huge basket of garlic fries. Both servers were very friendly and attentive.

Great burger cafe! The french fries were perfect! I had the veggie burger and my husband had the German sausage hamburger and both were excellent as the buns were extra special. Staff was super friendly!

Our favorite burger place in Bend! The sweet potato tots are outstanding, and the Lava Butte HOT burger is deeeelicious! We've had a variety of burgers here, and not one has disappointed. In fact, my family from New England remarked last week that these burgers were the best they've ever eaten. We will be back MANY times!!!

    (5)
  • Meagan B.

Wow - delish!! The Powerhouse Steak Sandwich was amazing. And don't miss the sweet potato tots - to die for!!

    (5)
  • Jarred S.

Very good burger (lava butte is my go to), just the right amount of beef. Fry sauce and lava butte sauce are delicious. I like the shredded lettuce and the bun is fantastic.

    (4)
  • Colin R.

I was not impressed especially for the price. I thought the bun was good, patty was dry and was bland. I also don't like the type of fries they use, I have seen them at a few other restaurants and they are just not good. The fries are soggy, sometimes hard, don't have great flavor and the fry sauce is nothing special. The service was great, very nice staff, great milk shake, good beer selection, but the compressor (or whatever it was) that kicked on and made a horrible noise was not fun. I think this could be a great burger joint if they moistened their patties ;) and got better fries.

    (2)
  • David K.

Sorry to hate, but this place is a far cry from a Gourmet Burger joint. Every burger I have had from here has been barely edible. For starters, the meat is obviously a frozen processed patty. They are perfectly level discs and they are all cooked the same, well done, very well done. Not burnt, but dry and bland. Ugh. Their special toppings are a case study in over-compensation. Each burger I've had, I think the Broken Top and Wall Street, and one other, were each one note; no harmony of flavors, only one flavor, rammed in my mouth, it was not a pleasant taste. The good thing is their front counter staff is always friendly and available to take an order. That's great!

    (1)
  • Justin N.

The Broken Top is amazing! Great burger, bun & fries/fry sauce! I wish my waistline would support a weekly visit.

    (5)
  • Lee B.

THE best burger in Bend. Hands down. Get there early, though, because it seems to take FOREVER to get your food. But you can't rush perfection, I suppose. Don't bother going on your lunch hour, you'll never make it back in time. (My only wish is that they had a turkey burger patty option. Pilot Butte now has one, but who wants to go there after they've had Bend Burger)

    (5)
  • Anna Q.

Great place to grab a burger for lunch! Their fries are awesome! The kids loved it too!

    (4)
  • Betsy T.

Great tasting burger - I only wish the burger was a real, hand-formed, juicy patty - that would put this great burger over the top!! Three hours later and I'm dying of thirst (that was one salty meal!). The sweet potato tater tots were only okay. All in all, I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Bend Burger Company opened sometime in '09, replacing the venerable Bluefish Bisto. I must say, to call yourself a burger company, you've got to do burgers right. Sadly, they don't. They don't even ask how you want it cooked...always a terrible sign...usually indicative of frozen disc meat. The fries were greezy but tasty. Their beer selection is abysmal (they only added beer fairly recently). A sign in their window sums up this place nicely, refering to their burgers as "Gormet"...yes, not Gourmet, but Gormet. Classy. I am not trying to be a hater. This place is worlds above fast-food burgers and the staff is nice for the brief period of interaction. If you're visiting Bend for some time, skip this place in favor of any brewpub or restaurant, nearly all have better burgers. Come here if you were just going to do fastfood and you want to eat local. Finally, I do want to add as a sidenote that there's only one BBC in Bend...and it's on Brooks Street!

    (1)
  • Pascaline K.

A bit pricey but burgers are huge! Definitely a great local burger joint.

    (4)
  • Kim S.

I went here today for lunch. It took 30-40 minutes for my food to come out. Food was good and I'd probably go again, but not during the lunch or dinner rush.

    (2)
  • El J.

it was alright... a bit over rated, I would rather pay 10 for a burger at RR. The service was great, the place is chill, but the food was a downer. It looks good I loved the potato bread but the meat was kind of bland in my burger, a little to salty too. The fries felt old, and soggy (We did order the garlic and regular fries). The Dr. Pepper was great! :)

  • Andrew M.

I've always wanted to try this place. Had there namesake Bend Burger with bacon and cheddar and it was really good! The fries were also delicious and served with a chipotle fry sauce that was scrumptious. The staff was bubbly, friendly and helpful and the inside was decorated with all sorts of gear that screamed Bend. Here's my beef: I went there at about 1 p.m. on a Sunday, the place was only about half full, it still took more than 30 minutes to get my order out to me. I also ordered the burger w/o onion, and it came with onion (not that I'm allergic, hate onions or anything like that, I was simply not in the mood for onions). Lastly, for a burger-specific joint, I would expect to be asked "how would you like the cooked?" I was not and though it was a juicy burger with all the trimmings and really tasty, I would have preferred to have the option of getting my desired temp of med-rare (the lack of option is usually a dead giveaway that frozen patties are used). All in all, great burger, if you you have the time.

    (3)
  • Keith A.

Not the best burger in Bend but a pretty good one. My son LOVES this place and always wants a "Broken Top" with a side order of garlic fries when he comes home to visit. I'm really disappointed to read fellow YELPERS reviews. Am I missing something? Yikes. I didn't think it was that bad. The burgers always tasted fine to me....not my fave.... but good enough to frequent from time to time. For all you YELPERS who rated this poorly...don't give up on Bend yet. Try Hardy's....that one is my pick for our town.

  • Greg W.

My first clue after placing an order at the counter of this simple restaurant was when they didn't ask me how I wanted my burger prepared. That's usually a sure sign that the patties were frozen. Sure enough, my Broken Top burger was served with a perfectly flat and round patty cooked well-done. The toppings were fresh and the fries are acceptable, but there is no getting around the beef. Folks, let me give you little lesson on hamburgers. A good burger is not shaped like a disc and has char-grilled texture. A better burger exudes juices that flow into your mouth when you take a bite out of it and should leak a little blood onto the bun. And most of all, gourmet burgers are not cooked well done! I refuse to pay ten dollars for a hockey puck burger.

When it comes to trying a new burger place, the first impression depends solely on that first burger. For me, it was the Mirror Pond Burger. Minus the grilled onions I asked them to hold, it came to me just as it was described; a slice of Swiss Cheese, loads of fresh grilled mushrooms, mayo and Bend Burger Sauce. The hamburger patty was a large flat disc which leads me to wonder if it had been frozen minutes before. They do claim their burgers are made from "freshly ground local beef" but they don't mention "never frozen." But whether it was or not, the burger ended up being very delicious and was not over cooked like most fast-food restaurants. The tremendous mound of mushrooms was a wonderful sight; they weren't overpowering and didn't distract from the taste of the burger itself and the Bend Burger Sauce was nice and subtle. The fries that accompanied were plentiful and cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The price is not terrible, a little higher than fast-food but not by a lot. All-in-all, not the best burger I've ever had but a very tasty dining experience. I do have plans to visit this burger place again when I'm around the area again.

for a burger place, I LOVED IT! and i dont even like burgers! lol.. i got the ruben, which was really good.. with pastrami rather than corned beef. John got a jalapeno burger which he loved! The girls that worked there were so friendly, it was busy, but quick service. The location is perfect right down town and by drake park. The peanut butter malt milk shake was OMG GOOD!!! i would go back 500 times just for that damn milk shake, chunks of crunchy peanut butter at the bottom.. thick creamy and delic! wow.. i was really impressed with this place bc at first i did not want to come here, but i am so glad i did!!! :) RECOMMEND!

We had lunch here today, the hamburgers were okay, one of us had the garlic fries, so greasy, couldnt finish. The regular fries were mediocure, tater tots didnt have alot of flavor, I dont have a desire to return.

What a great burger! Big portions, great flavor, and french fries are amazing. I would definitely recommend this to more people. Price is a little high but for the portion size it is understandable.

First, I disagree with the other reviewers. Bend Burger is reminiscent of a diner - friendly with a mom-and-pop feel. This is NOT a "sophisticated bistro' It's not a snobby place. It's a place for families to come enjoy good food. I'd like to correct a few things in the other reviews: Every meal is customizable - if you want lighter options, you can get a side salad to replace your fries. They have specific salad options or you can get any sandwhich on a salad rather than fries and a bun. Since everything is made to order, you can customize to your heart's content. The freshness of the food really sets it apart from fast food. Bend Burger Company is a great local business - original menu options, a genuine local focus. The Good: Their food is delicious! Fresh, juicy, all made to order. All burger patties are made fresh daily, hand breaded chicken breasts, juicy grilled chicken, 2 steak options. Something for everyone. The food is high quality - you can tell it's not fast food or mass produced. They also have ice cream cones and fresh made milkshakes. YUM. They have a plasma screen TV that shows a slideshow of local events. It's fun for locals to recognize people they know, it's fun for out of towners to see a real picture of Bend life. The owners are friendly, the employees are attentive and nice. The Bad: Because everything is made to order and the lunch hour is very busy, the wait can be too long. I've waited up to 30 minutes for my food before. It is worth the wait - the food is delicious. However, if you're in a big hurry, Bend Burger is probably not the place to go if you have only 15 minutes to eat lunch. Conclusion: Good, fresh food. Support the local economy and small businesses. Enjoy a great meal with friends and family, in the great downtown setting. It's perfect to fit between shopping, coffee, hanging out at the park. It's not FAST food. You get fresh, made for you food. If you ask me, it's worth the wait. In Bend, this is definitely a restaurant to check out. If you're not a snob, you'll LOVE it. Even if you are a little snobby, the food is delicious. Good, clean, honest business & a delicious lunch.

I was starving, walked in, devoured a veggie burger and was full. Not much more to it than that.

We drove by this place while running around downtown Bend. I gasped with surprise since last time I was in town this space had been a cute little seafood restaurant or bistro that I always wanted to try but it seems to have gone the way of many of Bend's other finer dining establishments and shuttered it's doors. I was a bit sad but JP was joyful...burgers, burgers, burgers! He made sure we stopped in the next day to grab some midday sustenance. Inside it's a *slight* step up from a typical fast food restaurant. The menu has some salads and even a green bean option (which I ordered without the bacon). It was okay, not fabulous but I wasn't expecting fabulous here (I will say for $3.99 the portion was HUGE). I also went with the standard Bend Burger with cheese....I think most burgers come with the Bend Burger sauce...some spicy take on thousand island it seems. JP made the best call and went with the Bachelor Brat burger where they grind brat into the burger meat. His patty definitely seemed homemade while mine reminded me of the bulk burgers from Costco. All burgers come with fries which were not shoestring but not as thick as steak (but definitely more thick than thin). This definitely seems to be the place if you want to grab some meat and a shake. I've had better burgers, so maybe take my advice and order one of the other options off the menu and stay away from the Bend Burger...nothing special there.

Typically, I eat until I'm full, which is usually after 6 bites. At Bend Burger Company I stuffed my face full until I needed to be rolled out of the restaurant. My sister and I went here for lunch one afternoon. I ordered the Franklin Ave burger and my sister got the Mirror Pond burger, and they were both delicious. We also got onion rings and French fries. Everything we were served was fabulous. I was craving a huge messy burger and BBC delivered. One of my favorite things about BBC was the fry sauce. I wish I had some right now.

The good news is that there are quite a few burger choices. Each burger contains a big slab of meat combined with whatever. My wife enjoyed her Hawaiian burger - big slab of ground beef, big slice of pineapple, some cheese and whatever else. I tried the Bend Burger - big slab of beef, lettuce, onion, tomato, pickles etc combined with their special sauce, which is a spicy elaboration of Russian dressing. It was okay, but nothing special. It reminded me of a truckstop - each burger is quite large and is accompanied by a large helping of so-so fries and a thimble of their spicy sauce. I was expecting their burgers to be a little higher in quality (Reviewer Amy K nailed it - reminiscent of Costco burger slabs) and more flavorful, e.g. flame broiled. As nears as I could tell, all burgers come with french fries; I would have much preferred a salad. All in all, it was okay, but there are better burgers to be had.

I tried an order of the garlic fries and they were awful. Way undercooked and just too greasy to be enjoyable.

Food = 3 (very average... fries were too salty) Price = 1 (crazily overpriced for the quality and service) Experience = 2.5 (slow service... with an attitude)

This place was great! The sweet potato tots are fantastic and the lava butte burger is fiery deliciousness. The tots were about $4 and the burger was $11. The food took a while to come out, which was surprising since they weren't busy at all, but it was well worth the wait.

It's alright, not good not bad just alright. The staff are nice and friendly , but they also take 20 minutes to make a burger. I'd rank them slightly above fast food but your also paying twice the amount. If you want a great burger just go to hardys

Salute.

Two stars for the food and that's it. If you order take out, you'd better check your order twice as the staff will most likely forget something. Pricey for burger joint.

Good fries and an okay burger but they are both VERY VERY SALTY. It took over 30 mins for my food to arrive right after a lunch rush. If u need quick, hit subway, if you have time, this isn't bad.

  • Kristy K.

Reviewing new location on 3rd. Great burger but took forever. Wasn't even crowded. About 30% full. A burger should never take more than 10 minutes and never close to 20 minutes.

Great burger cafe! The french fries were perfect! I had the veggie burger and my husband had the German sausage hamburger and both were excellent as the buns were extra special. Staff was super friendly!

    (5)
  • Jeff C.

Awesome burgers but a little spendy. The milk shakes are great too. If you are in bend I would recommend stopping by this place and getting lunch. The food is pretty good and most of the employees were friendly. You could split a burger and a shake and be full.

    (4)
  • Kristine A.

Nice location, fun atmosphere and staff, really good burger, Onion Rings were yummy and so were the sweet potato option. Seemed a little expensive but it is downtown. Milkshake. OMGgood. I would go here over Pilot Butte or Hardys everyday of the week. (If I could justify drinking that many milkshakes)

    (2)

The Broken Top is amazing! Great burger, bun & fries/fry sauce! I wish my waistline would support a weekly visit.

    (1)

Finally, I do want to add as a sidenote that there's only one BBC in Bend...and it's on Brooks Street!

it was alright... a bit over rated, I would rather pay 10 for a burger at RR. The service was great, the place is chill, but the food was a downer. It looks good I loved the potato bread but the meat was kind of bland in my burger, a little to salty too. The fries felt old, and soggy (We did order the garlic and regular fries). The Dr. Pepper was great! :)

I've had better burgers, so maybe take my advice and order one of the other options off the menu and stay away from the Bend Burger...nothing special there.

for a burger place, I LOVED IT! and i dont even like burgers! lol.. i got the ruben, which was really good.. with pastrami rather than corned beef.

    (1)

Salute.

Mmmmm!

  • Kim C.

    (5)
  • Joseph D.

This place was great! The sweet potato tots are fantastic and the lava butte burger is fiery deliciousness. The tots were about $4 and the burger was $11. The food took a while to come out, which was surprising since they weren't busy at all, but it was well worth the wait.

Got four bacon cheeseburgers one hour before closing. Burgers where wonderful; staff not so nice. My phone order took forever as the young girls working the counter had very little product knowledge. Maybe just my experience, burgers where worth the effort.

  • Jana P.

Food was great. The fries(the ones that just come with the burger) were the best fries I've ever eaten. Burger was great, service was great. Took my dad who is from out of town and he loved it too.

Good eats! The central location in downtown bend is very nice and convenient. The food is very good and accommodating to all ages. The staff is friendly and helpful. Bend burger is a good place to go out for a family dinner, but not so much on a romantic date.

Food = 3 (very average... fries were too salty) Price = 1 (crazily overpriced for the quality and service) Experience = 2.5 (slow service... with an attitude)

Pretty slow service but delicious burgers. Huge servings but if anyone has a boyfriend like mine I think most people can appreciate that. Location is great for any summer afternoon in the park.

It's alright, not good not bad just alright. The staff are nice and friendly , but they also take 20 minutes to make a burger. I'd rank them slightly above fast food but your also paying twice the amount. If you want a great burger just go to hardys

    (2)

    (4)
  • Austen A.

Good fries and an okay burger but they are both VERY VERY SALTY. It took over 30 mins for my food to arrive right after a lunch rush. If u need quick, hit subway, if you have time, this isn't bad.

    (3)

    (1)
  • Nancy G.

Great burger cafe! The french fries were perfect! I had the veggie burger and my husband had the German sausage hamburger and both were excellent as the buns were extra special. Staff was super friendly!

Wow - delish!! The Powerhouse Steak Sandwich was amazing. And don't miss the sweet potato tots - to die for!!

Very good burger (lava butte is my go to), just the right amount of beef. Fry sauce and lava butte sauce are delicious. I like the shredded lettuce and the bun is fantastic.

The Broken Top is amazing! Great burger, bun & fries/fry sauce! I wish my waistline would support a weekly visit.

Great place to grab a burger for lunch! Their fries are awesome! The kids loved it too!

    (4)

    (3)

Finally, I do want to add as a sidenote that there's only one BBC in Bend...and it's on Brooks Street!

it was alright... a bit over rated, I would rather pay 10 for a burger at RR. The service was great, the place is chill, but the food was a downer. It looks good I loved the potato bread but the meat was kind of bland in my burger, a little to salty too. The fries felt old, and soggy (We did order the garlic and regular fries). The Dr. Pepper was great! :)

What a great burger! Big portions, great flavor, and french fries are amazing. I would definitely recommend this to more people. Price is a little high but for the portion size it is understandable.
