Not sure where to start, how about the drinks. I ordered a Moscow mule and it was vodka-lemonade and a lime, so don't order that. Our calamari was beyond fried and soggy and we weren't even offered plates, we had to grab them off the table next to us. The beef cheeks were good I'll give them that. Then when our entree came we had no silverware, again. We had to grab from the empty table next to us. Advice, get more for your money elsewhere.

My husband and I had not been in since chef Brad's departure and we will like not be heading back anytime soon. What use to be our favorite spot is an unimpressive hotel bar. The service was slow and impersonal. The prior chef had an amazing seasonal menu and local fair. The new menu is overly simple (not a complement), unpressive potions, and lacking the amazing food combinations we came to expect. The only bright spot and the reason for 1 star is they appear to have retained the pastry chef in the their staff purge. The bread pudding was a bright spot.

New chef and crappy menu. As a local I use to come here once a week for their killer happy hour. I guess the days are gone of pork tacos, Mac and cheese and 3 dollar beers. Won't be going back

Really nice refreshing place to find in the heat of the day. A sweet surprise....good food, wonderful service, and great ambiance. I was pleasantly surprised by everything I enjoyed.

Our second dinner tonight at Ten Below left more than mixed opinion of the food. The roast beet salad was very nice. A kidney-shaped oil dish full of mostly Balsamic Vinegar wouldn't have been as difficult to understand if the cheese filled chicken breast we ordered had not been accompanied by an incredibly salty and acidic sauce, flavored with an orange spice which I could not identify. This was billed as a mild smoked chili sauce. These two acid flavors did no favor to the menu. It seemed someone had either not known, or had not thought it important that when Vinegar is added to Olive Oil served with bread, it is a small amount, intended to accompany the flavor of the oil, not to overpower it by sheer volume in a leveraged takeover. The Chicken Breast was stuffed with a goat cheese with herbs and this might have been very nice if there had been enough stuffing to have tasted it for recognition, of its flavors. I thought there might have been mint among them, but it was gone so quickly I could not be sure. Wait service was good. There was a drink mixup which was my fault, and it was corrected and replaced promptly. The bar is fine. The room is pleasant, chairs comfortable. We thought about dessert but the thought faded when the saucer of Balsamic and oil took center stage again, in the hands of the busgirl, who as she was clearing the table left a generous beaded swath of its contents on the tabletop directly beneath and in her line of vision. No apology or effort to clean the spill was offered and the busgirl cheerfully went off to the kitchen with our used dishes. We went cheerfully off to the elevator to leave Ten Below. On a previous evening we ordered steak, and it and the salads and appetizer were very good, but we will need to hear that improvements have been made, before we visit Ten Below again.

Not the upscale experience you expect from a place with this reputation. When asked for fresher squeezed lime in a cocktail they assured us that it was done daily only to have to a bottle dated 10/28 be poured into my glass right in front of us...that's 11 days old!!! Then we watched as the bartender married two bottles of red wine, not kosher if your a wino. And that's all I have to say

After staying a night at the Oxford my husband and I decided to try 10 Below for breakfast. We had already been there for drinks at night which we had really enjoyed. The menu choices were good and all sounded really appetizing. I got the eggs florentine and my husband got an omelete. We agreed both were decent but nothing compared to some of the other breakfast places in town (Victorian Cafe and Chow being favroties). The ingredients and presentation were good but the food lacked seasoning. We'll probably go back for happy hour and drinks.

We went to 10 Below for a special anniversery surprise. The front staff was very accommodating, even putting the gift at the entrance for the special couple. I have been in for happy hour a few times now. Each time, I have been impressed by their tapas and tasty selection of mixed drinks. Their tapas are always fresh and so tasty! I especially enjoy the Olympia Oysters and the Wedge Salad. Our group of 4 tried a variety if offerings and loved it all. Look forward to next visit.

Happy hour was a great experience at 10 Below. We had their HH pinot gris along with a few snacks. Oysters on the half shell were expertly shucked and the mignonette was nice. The wedge was good, but the deconstructed nicoise with house smoke salmon was really good. Not a HH item but a pretty good value. The grilled watermelon with feta was surprisingly good! Service was atentive and friendly. The bartender knew the menu well and was able to make some great suggestions. The wine and beverage lists were exeptional. Can't wait to work on that fifth star over dinner. Also the wine dinner menu looked amazing and a pretty good value at $75. We will definatey have to try to fit that into our schedule.

I just went there for my ten year anniversary on a recommendation from a friend. OMG it was amazing. The food was stunning. Like something off one of the food shows. Tasty, well presented and great atmos. Great server and well priced. Highly recommended!!!

Dry kobe burger that sucked. I really don't know how to put a nice spin on it. That's the only thing I will remember about the experience there. Oh, and to cool decor I guess. But regarding the important part, the meal, I would have send it back, but the large group I was with needed to get going. Wish i had something nice to say, I realize this place is the "fancy" eating place, but wow what a let down. (review based on summer 2012 visit)

Had a great little breakfast here while staying in the Oxford Inn hotel. The place was practically empty on a Thursday morning, don't get me why. Had a great dish of perfectly cooked scrambled eggs (not too soft, not too rubbery), delicious vegetarian sausage, some maybe too salty home fries, and some yummy toasted whole wheat bread with strawberry jam that I didn't have to open a jar to eat. Yummers. Coffee was good, service was so friendly. Great joint!

Jazz at Oxford=F The room on 11/23/13 was too small for the size of speakers used for the Portland Jazz Ensemble...LOUD does not = musicality. The 'sound man' in the back of the acoustically-limited room was only watching his sound bars, rather than actually 'hearing' what the group was producing (aka 'noise')! I'm a trained musician (5 instruments) and have played in 2 orchestras; sung in 2 choirs and written music. Is this what zero funding in music education in public schools since the 1970's produced? ;(. So sad!

I had Oxford Eggs Florentine, which were about the most impressive and delicious breakfast I've had in a long while. My wife had the french toast, which was delicious. The rating here is for brilliant food prepared in a high-end manner, perfect atmosphere, and efficient, kind service. I wouldn't change a single thing about this place, though it is under the hotel and, if you aren't looking for it, hard to find. I'm rather surprised people aren't rating it higher, considering how great all the reviews are - I would match this place against any in LA, save for the highest of the high. Also boasts the coolest bathroom sinks I've ever seen!

My husband and I regularly dine at 10 Below. The service, the atmosphere and the food are excellent. We have never had a poor meal or service in the 2 years we have been regular guests at 10 Below. Tom who manages the restaurant service during most of the evenings we dine treats all dinning guests with A+ treatment. He know us by name and always tells us about what's best or new on the menu that day. He gets us looking forward to try something new. Our favorite dessert is their bread pudding. Believe me this is not your grandma's bread pudding. Gotta try it!

This is one of the very "cool" places -- the decor is about as avant-garde as you get for Bend. We have been here three times for happy hour and never been disappointed. Food is always great and drinks are very good. Last time Christine (if I remember) worked with us to make a specialty drink my wife had on a recent New York visit. She pegged it on the second round. Have never eaten a sit-down meal but the menu looks good.

Celebrated my wife's birthday here...calamari was amazing, the steak was outstanding, and Tom (our waiter) gave us incredible service. But what really impressed us was the complimentary champagne and dessert they gave my wife. Highly recommend this restaurant!

The food is delicious, the presentation is magnificent, and the decor is unique. This is the only restaurant I've been to where one can order a glass of absinthe, and they know how to serve it properly.

10 Below, in the basement of the new trendy Oxford hotel. The restaurant is stylish and modern, making the best of the space. The menu is interesting and they have a slew of tasty custom drinks, house-infused stuff (vodka, bitters, etc), and five or so good local microbrews. The prices are good for happyhour, but the dinner menu is similar to 900wall, Blacksmith, Zydeco, etc. It won't break the bank, but it's more than I'd pay for a full meal. My advice, go to happyhour: enjoy the good service, good drinks, and the good food without going broke.

The bartender is extremely nice. I had the bacon and eggs starter. It was delicious. The Atlantic Salmon over gazpacho. Very very tasty. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Also enjoyed the beers on tap after dinner: hop venom Boneyard, silver moon hounds tooth amber, black butte porter.

I absolutely LOVED this restaurant the first time I visited--had the salad (baby beet) w/ soup (tomato beet bisque) and was really impressed by the incredible service and tasty, affordable food. I stayed several hours, through two changes of lunch mates, and the service remained wonderful throughout. All 3 friends I ate with had the very large BLT sandwich and loved it. The ambience is decorative, elegant, warm, and feels like one of Bend's classier downtown offerings. Second visit: took my husband to try this new (to us) restaurant to try the daily lunch special, known as the "10-10-10", which on this particular day consisted of a large ham n swiss sandwich, french fries, chicken salad and panna cotta w/ blood orange topping. HE was thrilled, my fried-food-loving hubby--big portions, fried, fatty and fabulous! I was not (although they were willing to switch the sandwich around a bit for me since I do not eat ham OR swiss, which was greatly appreciated)--overall, I was not very happy with the heavy, mayonnaise-y, fried nature of this offering. The chicken salad was billed as an "Asian" salad, and yet was a gloppy, heavily mayonnaised "American" recipe that had absolutely nothing Asian about it. If it HAD been an Asian chicken salad, w/ a light, fresh, soy/vinegar/sesame-type dressing, that would have been a very nice compliment to the heaviness of the rest of the meal. As it was, by the time I got to the creamy but relatively tasteless panna cotta, it was all too much. So, it was a good "Hubby" meal, but pretty low rating on the "Ladies who Lunch" scale! (And for those who need that reference spelled out, I mean women who want a healthy, tasty, lunch that does not make us feel we gained 5 lbs. just looking at it. ;)) We will definitely go back, but I hope that the management takes note--"Asian chicken salad" is definitely a misnomer for that particular dish. Please consider something lighter, more savory and complimentary to the fried nature of the rest of the "10-10-10." Overall, we're very pleased to have discovered 10 Below and are looking forward to working our way through your menu!

Hit the place for the $10 business lunch served in 10 minutes.....10 below..get the deal? pretty decent food, not great but I was happy and for the price of a burrito we had fine dining and not crowded at all. actually a bit quiet. I would do it again...i mean hey $10....

We had a wonderful birthday dinner with friends at 10 Below. We love this restaurant. It is great to have one more classy place in Bend to take guests. The trout entree and chicken were absolutely wonderful. The wedge salad is not your mother's wedge. Simply enjoyable and such a great staff that is so accomodating.

Pretty chic lounge in the basement of the hotel. Came for after-dinner drinks, which were strong IMO. Cheap date in da house... Colleagues had manhattans and martinis w/ olives that they were fans of. I had some mixed drink with gin that was too strong for me. There's a pretty beefy list of absinthe drinks that you can get, too. That licorice taste is the worst to me but some people like it and the presentation w/ the water fountain and ice cube on fire is tight. 4 stars for the decor and strong drinks! It was pretty dead for a Thursday night tho.

Used to come here a lot last year. But towards the beginning of this year, service was not the best and it started to go down. The waitress out in the restaurant area was never really friendly and would forget our order and would never check on our table. We also once asked them to split the bill into 4 cards with our names written by each of of order and they completely messed it up. One time they wouldn't do it. And it really depended on who helped us. I've started coming back because I missed their garlic fries and happy hour drinks. The last two times service in the bar area has been nothing but great! And exactly how it used to be! I'll be seating in the bar area more. Service in there is always better. Going to continue my 10 Below come back.

Dinner and service was exceptional! Very high end experience and food at a reasonable price. Every dish we had was above expectations. We will definitely be back! The wedge salad was the best we'd ever had. I highly recommend it!

This place has a hit or miss reputation and it was definitely a miss for us. The service was lovely but the food was not, especially for the price. The menu is really ambitious but it just doesn't come together in the end. If you can't get chicken right, might be time to review your kitchen staff. I complained about my drink and the server was kind enough to remove it from the bill and offer to replace it. I wish I had done the same with my entree, it pains me that I spent $80+ on a mediocre meal. Maybe head over to Drake instead. Sorry!

I love this bar/lounge/whatever it is in Bend. The hot chocolate is a must. My husband got the do-it-yourself hot chocolate while I got the one all done for me. The do-it-yourself is a little ambitious for my taste, but if that's your thing, I'd highly recommend it! The desserts are fabulous too!

10 Below is alright, though not a top choice given all that Bend has to offer. Service is prompt and friendly. It's a place I'll go if invited, but not somewhere I'd choose to take a date or out-of-town friends. They've done a fine job with the decor and ambiance, and the happy hour has some good perks, but with zero windows, it feels closed-in and less than inviting. You can forget about taking a nice photo of your meal or drinks; the lighting is (too) dim, as seen in the photos attached to this page. It feels very much like a missile silo that has been converted into a contemporary dining space. Overall, while the service is nice and the food is good, I can only recommend the place to "foodies" who are happy paying the price for food that seems primarily focused on aesthetics. Your best bet with 10 Below? Make a quick visit during happy hour and save your sit-down meal for a place with windows and portions designed for an appetite.

think we have found a new great breakfast place in Bend. Affordable, really good coffee. excellent potatoes. and everything was served hot! weird silverware, but then I am a little picky about silverware that isn't balanced right and conflicts with arthritis. will definitely return for a breakfast treat

Hubby and I remain fans of 10 Below in spite of some bad news, but tempered with good news, in this review update. BAD NEWS FIRST - CHEF CHANGE: Chef Brad Wood has departed 10 Below for a new gig at Jen's Garden in Sisters. Since Chef Wood's tenure at 10 Below was the reason for our previous upgrade from 4 to 5 stars, his departure causes us to drop one off. For now. After a few meals with the new chef in the mix, we'll see where this goes. GOOD NEWS - GREAT BREAKFAST: 10 Below may be Bend's best kept secret for breakfast. In fact, for that meal we would consistently award 5 stars. Unlike some of Bend's "yo dude, another Bloody Mary" focused places with dance club loud music in the mix, 10 Below offers delicious breakfast at a good price for the top quality products and a more restrained, one might even say more refined, ambiance with always great service. And for those intent on adult libations with their breakfast, there is a full bar in the restaurant. My husband I appreciate that they source their products from high quality purveyors, like Carlton Pork and Great American Eggs. The meaty, crisp bacon served here is arguably the best in Bend at breakfast. For food of this qality and so well prepared, prices are rasonable too. We recommend buckwheat blueberry pancakes ($9), eggs Florentine (roasted tomatoes and sauce choron make this special) ($10), quiche of the moment ($7), eggs Benedict ($11). Some menu items, like Bob's Red Mill Oatmeal served with seasonal berries ($5) or Nancy's Yogurt and granola ($7) are bargain priced for mornings when you want something light. Vegetarian items are also on menu (as in a vegetarian sausage) and the kitchen has, in our experience of dining with friends, also been able to happily adjust for vegan dining. The professional focus of the kitchen is evident in subtle ways such as eggs always served as ordered, which is sometimes a thing difficult for kitchens to get right when one asks for their eggs in a different format, such as baked. Also, dishes like Florentine and Benedict here are dressed with sauces, just right, not smothered in them. Finesse at breakfast is a good thing in our book. Although we continue to wish this was above ground, breakfast from food through service are so good as to entice us downstairs to 10 Below again and again. During breakfast the other morning, one of the couples at the four top next to us was telling the other how pleased they were their friends had suggested 10 Below for breakfast. "We didn't even know this was here. This is so cozy and breakfast is great." The response from their friends was something like, "Yes, we always feel like breakfast here is our little secret; so good and yet it never seems busy." Yep. GOOD NEWS - HAPPY HOUR: Remains arguably one of the best in Bend for the quality of HH cocktails and eats if you don't mind being tucked away below grade in the cool space. THIS N THAT: 1) This is a good place for children too. 2) Universally accessible in and throughout. 3) Check with the valet in front - parking is free if you're going in for a meal

Back to being disappointed. Menu sucks. Nothing even appetizing. Boneyard is now $5 instead of $3. #bullsh* ------------ I'm improving my review to a 2 star. They brought back the 3 pints and accommodated Mac and cheese at a 30% increase in price. The service was marginal ---------- Unfortunately they've changed their stellar menu to more bland options. I returned with a group of friends that I regularly go out with to find that everything extraordinary was removed from the menus. And replaced with nothing at all appetizing. We consulted some friends we saw in the lounge who had ventures as far as ordering and they said they were disappointed so we had to go else where. 10 below was always one of our favorites. Their happy hour and lounge menu was amazing. I've been several dozen times and it's a great place to bring out of town friends. Oysters, $3 beers, Mac n cheese, great tacos. All a very classy experience. Simply Gone. The service has always been great. But unfortunately I cannot recommend 10 below any longer. I would consider again if they were willing to change their menus to include the staples that so many people loved. I've already inquired with a dozen friends about their thoughts on the new menus and it wasn't positive.
Just came for cocktails in the bar. Nice atmosphere as usual, but boy the drinks were expensive. Happy hour was over. I'm sorry, but you do not put any sort of Canadian whiskey in a Manhattan. Poor form. Seems to have changed a bit since the last time we were here.

This place is meh. Nothing special here. Menu is overpriced, beers are overpriced, and the atmosphere is not for me. I think it is a bit strange to have a restaurant below the hotel. Especially when I want to be outside all the time in Bend or at least by a window! And they try to make this place fancy and classy. It just seems to miss whatever it is going for.

We found ourselves hungry late on a Monday night in Bend. A great waiter named Greg suggested we try 10 Below. First off the place is under a motel and feels like a private club. If you have ever watched restaurant impossible this looks like the after they do the makeover. It has a way cool vibe. There was a small staff of the bartender and one waiter and maybe 8-10 tables of patrons. The staff moved seamless and we felt like like we were VIP's. We ordered from a short but complex menu and our food arrived promptly. I started with the scallops. I like the big ones as they are more chewy. (My wife likes the little ones for the exact other reason.) I was surprised only two and not four for the 16.00 but they were excellent and in a smooth triumph mushroom cream sauce . I was coveting some bread to wipe that plate clean! My wife had the steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes and she didn't share. She said it was that good. I went out on a limb and tried something I personally had never had which was the ratatouille plate. It had three items on it. The ratatouille, a spinach salad and a grilled portabella mushroom. Plus I dumped my leftover sauce on the side I love the big earthy taste of the mushroom fried in butter and covered with caramelized onions and peppers. All three of the items had fantastic flavor and I am excited to return and try more of the menu. As with many places in Bend it's not so cheap but as with many places in Bend the food is smoking good. You can buy me dinner here anytime. .

This review is based upon their Martini's only as I'm not a fan of their menu nor their pricing, but if you're looking for a solid Martini with hand stuffed blue cheese olives, this is the place to go!!!

Love the variety of choices from gourmet to comfort foods. Wait staff attentive and efficient. Best of all is the food. Wow! We had dinner there recently and found everything beautifully presented and delicious. Coming from a foodie town, I'm critical of restaurants. This one is one I would return to again.

I used to love this place and the happy hour was fantastic. Recently brought friends from out of town only to realize the happy hour menu had changed. Had a burger because the happy hour menu wasn't appealing, and it was very disappointing and overly priced. The old happy hour was what always brought us back in. Why change a good thing? I must add, though, service and drinks are always great.

If this review were only for 10 Below's room service, it would easily be 5+ stars. During our 5 night stay over Christmas at The Oxford Hotel, we ordered room service several times (breakfasts and dinners) and consistently... - the ordering process was impressive, the person answering the phone always has in-depth knowledge of the menu items and is very accommodating for dietary restrictions, offering wonderful substitution suggestions - lightening-fast, friendly delivery; food arrived steaming and perfectly prepared - the food was excellent! One evening we invited the family (party of 8) to have dinner at 10 Below; that experience is what brings the rating down to 4 stars. We were seated in the center of the bar area at a high table, it was loud and crowded against the lower tables in the lounge, really uncomfortable. Service was great and the food was excellent, but my husband and I would not select or recommend 10 Below for an intimate dinner. I would highly recommend it for parties of 4-6 (without children). When we return next Christmas we will probably not venture down to dine in the restaurant (nor will we take the family), but we will most definitely order room service from 10 Below.

Very pricey, and the waitress was quite forgetful for our large group. That being said, the New York strip was shockingly filling and absolutely delicious. Cooked to perfection, this was a steak lovers plate! All the dishes were very healthy, and artistically presented. Expensive and exquisite. Great place for the grandparents

I have a long history of ups and downs with 10 below (more downs than ups), so naturally when i heard they got a new chef i figured I would give it another try. My father and i had been bouncing around restaurants all day. we arrived at 10 below and were quickly escorted to the bar. the staff was friendly and attentive. The decor i believe has always been stunning. Beautiful tones of greens and blacks. Very romantic. The menu has changed which is a good sign of a new chef making neccessary changes. I immediately knew i must order the porcini dusted scallops. Doesnt it just sound amazing. PERFECTION! My dad took one bite and looked at me like this is the best thing he had to eat in a while. I agreed. Some might say 2 scallops at 16$ is alot but i dont think so. They were large scallops that were perfectly executed and as fresh as you could get. Ive been back three times in two days for this dish so it must be good. I hope that they can keep this momentum up. next time I must try the pork cheeks.

Overall, extremely disappointing experience. The only thing keeping me from giving it 1 star is the waitress; She was phenomenal and provided great service! Now onto the details... We ordered the cheese plate (not the happy hour one) and it was amazing! Great fruit and cheese selection. We ordered the new "pork belly sliders" and they were DISGUSTING! The "homemade" bread was no bueno and the pork didn't taste like pork at all! Couldn't eat them... But, just when we thought that was the worst we were proven wrong with the "sweet potato fries". Hands down the WORST sweet potato fries EVER. They were extremely fried in batter and tasted like calamari! Again, unable to eat them. We asked the waitress if the fries and calamari were fried in the same oil because the fries tasted like calamari; she said yes and was very apologetic and actually removed them from our bill (this earned the 2nd star). Regarding atmosphere, it's pretty cool the bar is below ground! Decor is nice, but acoustics not so great (aka, loud). So, great place to drink (good beer prices), but I wouldn't order anything they actually make in house -though you're safe with the cheese plate.
10 below was recommended to our group by the concierge at Sunriver. We made reservations for our party of 8 on a Friday night. Being an experienced traveler I know that normally this is a big mistake at a high-end restaurant during peak season but I was pleasantly surprised that we were seated right on time and got a great table. Our server seemed frazzled, but she did a great job getting us our drinks and finding us a great bottle of wine (or 6) :) that we polished off throughout dinner. I had the oyster shooters as an appetizer and they were exquisite. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and raved about it and he is not a vegetable guy. We even got a thumbs up from a picky 14 year old about the goat cheese chicken. Can't say enough great things about this place. Was disappointed not to be able to talk to the chef (Inga I believe was her name? ) for longer to give her more praise. I highly suggest you check this place out and we look forward to trying more menu items next time we visit in December.

While this restaurant is in the lovely Oxford Hotel, this restaurant falls below the hype. I had a tenderloin that was the special for the evening that was clearly spoiled meat. (guess that's why it's the special ,$35 not quoted I might add) While I was offered another cut of tenderloin that was just OK, the chef checked a piece of it for taste by taking a slice out of it. In my 20 minute wait for a replacement, I was offered nothing in return for the inconvenience. While I have enjoyed breakfast here before, there are many choices in town with much better prices with more superior food and service!! Updated 10/22: Food and beverage manager was very responsive to the above issue after this posting and please understand this incident could have happened anywhere. Issue was handled in a very prompt and professional manner and 10 Below certainly warrants another attempt for fine dining in the future.

Went there last night for the first time. Was expecting great things but were very disappointed. First, we ordered a bottle of 2007 Sonoma Cutrer. After the waitress opened the bottle, we realized that we were being served the 2008. It was not the same!! I expressed my disappointment but as we were with friends, decided to just accept it. The endame for our appetizer was just okay. Not much flavor. The tempura vegetables were good but the dipping sauce lacked flavor as well. Our bread came out late. Again, nothing to rave about. I had the chicken special with tortellini. The chicken could not have been more dryed out! And the tortellini was dry as well. No sauce. It took a lot of salt and pepper to get any flavors at all out of this dish! My husband had the scallops. He enjoyed them but has had better. Not much for what they charged. We decided to skip on dessert. As far as the atmosphere, it was quaint. However, having a large big screen tv playing a football game right at your dining table was a bit much. I felt like I was in a sports bar instead of an intimate dining area. Overall, there are many other fine dining experiences to be had in Bend. This one will definately be off our list.

Seated immediately. Coffee hot and delicious. Food exactly as ordered, bacon thick and surprisingly delicious. Waiter had no idea how to handle a spilled glass of water hence 4 stars rather than 5. Otherwise waiter was attentive and friendly. Eat here for best breakfast in Bend.

We love this restaurant. Easy to park, easy to get a walk up table, good vibe, and most importantly: tasty, creative food. Was happy to see that you can order breakfast right through the lunch hour. But the thing that makes it worth a stop for lunch is... 10, 10, 10 (4 courses, served in under 10 minutes for $10 at 10 Below) Creative, yummy, fast and fun. We had little fajitas with chips and salsa, soup and excellent, creamy key lime sorbet. The fajitas needed more salsa or something and we got it when we asked. This all was great, but the real to-die-for dish is... Verrine Flight. We love going to places for small plates/tapas. (Looking forward to reopening of Marz Bistro too - I hear Gavin has added 16 small plates or something.) Back to the Verrine Flight - gorgeous presentation in a glass arch, and lots of great flavors. Crab with avocado and cilantro (ok, that would be enough, right? but no) smoked trout with cucumber and creme fraiche, and a couscous with tatziki dish too. Each was so good. Give it a try!

Located in the Oxford Hotel, big city meets rustic chic is the best way to describe the vibe in this restaurant. We only had drinks, but the ambiance definitely makes us want to come back for happy hour.

Impressive! The restaurant decor is a blend of sophistication and hip whimsy and the food is fabulous. Our waitperson was professional and charming. My husband and I showed up early on a Sunday evening to a fairly empty restaurant but it picked up a bit later. We forgot we were below ground the moment we sat down. Ask to see the cocktail menu for some delicious drinks such as a basil greyhound and cucumber ginger with vodka and a splash of cranberry served in a tall salted rim glass. We are crab cake affecionados and 10 Below served us the smallest but most scrumptious (and the most expensive) we have ever ordered. The entree portions were plentiful though. Don't miss the Oxford Hotel lobby--if it is any indication, the rooms are 5 stars! I am thrilled to see more understated urban chic in Bend--it compliments the city. The salon next door, Tangerine, looks very cool too. Not sure if it is affiliated with the hotel though.

My friend came from out of town and we were really looking forward to this new swank Bend dining option that I'd been hearing so much about. The decor right off the bat reminded me of fabulous restaurants in bigger cities like Portland and Atlanta, adding fuel to the fire and I guess to my expectations. My first disappointment was the wine list. Glass options were limited - starting at $8 (not surprising, but not cheap), I'd expect to have more options. Chard options started at $10 and there were only two by the glass. The bottles started at $40 - only two at that price and they quickly jumped to an average of $60 a bottle. I'm sorry, but there are plenty of fabulous white wines with a lower than $40 pricetag. And if you want me to pay $60 then it better be a complex red. Unfortunately the best was not saved for last. We started with the seared diver scallops appetizer with apple-smoked bacon over mushroom pancakes with pomegranate-molasses syrup. The scallops were plump and delicious, you can never go wrong with bacon, and the mushroom pancakes were light and tasty. Despite flavor everything was a little dry and we could have used more pomegranate-molassess syrup which tied the dish together. After the scallops we shared the poached pear salad which the waiter recommended and my friend ordered. The romaine and radicchio were like crunchy water, and the goat cheese and candied walnuts were tired throwbacks to an innovative 1990's dish. I couldn't have more than about five bites because the champagne vinaigrette started to give me canker sores. My entree was the biggest disappointment. I had the special; a pistachio-encrusted salmon with herb spaetzle and broccolini with pancetta. The only redeeming quality of this dish was the cube-sized chunks of pancetta over the broccolini; two seemed like separates rather than one side creatively pulled together. I bit into the salmon which was over-cooked and dried out until you got to the absolute heart of it (and a little fishy at that). I forget if it came with a sauceor not but if I did you couldn't taste it, and if it didn't it needed it. The pistachio crust might as well have been shredded plywood. Again, dry (like the scallop app), and by this time I began wondering if they had a financial motive for skimping on sauces (seems consistent as I've found the same complaint in two other reviews), I thought there might be some comfort provided by the herb spaetzle but with another wave of disappointment I bit into blandness. I lied to my friend and told him everything was great... For dessert we had a less than impressive chocolate-peanut butter cake of some sort. The waiter recommended something other but I gave in to my usual craving for chocolate...not satisfied. Have you ever had the MRE (think Army: meals ready to eat) version of ice cream? I think I had an MRE flashback. The rich dark roast decaf was the only thing that saved me. I will say that the decor was fun - the white antler chandeliers and sconces held my attention more than the meal did. Our waiter Tom was humorous and accomodating (he even walked me to the restroom) and I felt bad that he didn't have better wares to peddle. I am not opposed to paying a pretty penny when the food is worth it, but I've had much better for less. The only thing that might have redeemed the meal is if Tom had wrestled one of those antler chandeliers from the ceiling and put it in a to go box for me. It's the only thing I would have taken home.

Food is four star, and price is three star. Service was four star. Price is competitive with similar local restaurants. Have been to happy hour here many times. It is always great, if you get in as seating is limited. This was our first dinner at 10 Below. It was really nice but something we will only do again for special occasions because of the price.

My first visit to 10 Below was for happy hour during Bend's first annual Beer Week. I ordered a "beer cocktail" & 2 appetizers. Each app came with a beer paring in celebration of Beer Week. So I enjoyed stuffed mushrooms, pulled pork tacos, a cocktail & 2 local beers for $21.00. I was dumbfounded at the bill. Best value & food Ive had in town in a month!! I will be back for happy hour again soon. Cant wait to try them for an intimate dinner as well.

Great lunchtime service in the bar. Just a quick bite before some lectures.... a french onion soup that was subtle and sweet without being syrupy. the ceaser was zesty and the garlic was perfectly balanced - available but not overpowering. They have done a good job decorating the odd subterranean space, as well.

We had dinner here Saturday night before Chicago at the Tower. Was suprised to see a waitress who used to work across the street at Staccato working here. As she was at Staccato, she's very....intense. Almost over-attentive, which I find a little bit creepy. Salads were good - the baby beets were fantastic with a hazlenut butter beneath them. Entrees were middle of the road. We had a surf and turf (ordered medium, but was definitely on the medium-rare to rare end of the scale), a shrimp fettucini (good, but skimpy on the shrimp), and a roasted chicken (billed by the waitress as "the best chicken you'll ever have" - when asked, the person eating it said "definitely not.". The dessert menu was skimpy...maybe because the pastry chef was on maternity leave? The chocloate cake was blah. I would eat here again, but skip dessert and hope to get seated in a different server's section.

We've been staying at The Oxford Hotel for the past few days and have since eaten three breakfasts and one dinner at this amazing restaurant. 10 Below is a very unique atmosphere, with a very innovative interior and exquisite food! We've ordered something different every visit; 10 Below's staff and food are consistently great! A MUST SEE place, if you're in the Bend area as well!

This is located in the Oxford hotel in Bend and has a wonderful atmosphere and excellent quality food. There is definitely more attention paid to quality than sustainability and local etc because the food is very good and also apparently very local. The NY steak was perfect and practically fork tender. The one item that really stood out for me was the squash. I usually do not like acorn squash or any of the fall varieties of squash as they are usually way too starchy and sweet. The chef's preparation of the squash made it taste more like zucchini or yellow squash than what it actually was. No need to go on, bottom line is that I had something that I don't usually like, prepared differently and I liked it. That does not happen too often so kudos to the chef here. Other notes, the salad was perfect and the desserts were very good too. With all of the recession oriented business closures (including restaurants) it is nice to see that there is still a decent gourmet option in Bend.

Awesome atmosphere and great happy hour food and drinks. My great boyfriend surprised me and order the creme brulee (one of my desserts of choice always) while I was checking out the crazy decor in the bathrooms. Creme Brulee was aahhhmazing!

Located in the Oxford Suites, this place is awesome! Chic and fashionable with the black, creme and lime green decor. Bathrooms are absolutely adorable, bright pink, lime green and black. Stalls have cute little mirrors and crystal ball doorknobs. The entire place is something you'd see in a Hollywood home. Food was is simply delicious!. Tri-colored potatoes! Their vegetable tempura is the best I've had. Great place to go for s girls night out, grab a few beers and watch the game, grab a bite for lunch or some breakfast. They even have a private room for parties. Food and drinks are pretty well priced. Good place for Happy Hour too!

Stopped by 10 below this week and am pretty excited about this addition to Bend. I cannot speak for the meals since we just got dessert, but their dessert was heavenly! Seriously, so good! The vibe was refreshing, and it looked totally different than anything else in this town. Don't get me wrong, I love the lodge feel that accompanies most Central Oregon restaurants. (we are in the mountains might as well embrace it) But it was great to feel like we'd been transported to a cool, sleek, modern world. The wait-staff was helpful, friendly, and down-to-earth. One last rave, they had a list of all their vendors and they were all local which is so great. They (the Oxford) may be a large corporate chain, but I appreciate the fact that they are supporting the local economy. Can't wait to check out their happy hour.

I Called for Mother's Day Brunch. I was told that I could get in either at 9am or 11-something. (must have been full, I thought) Earlier worked out better with my family so I chose 9am. Upon entering the establishment on time and dressed appropriately (my two sons with ties on) we were not seated in the regular restaurant but instead in the banquet room that included the buffet food. No problem, it was busy, right? Well, I was there with my family sitting at the only occupied table in the room (there were many sitting empty) for 50 minutes before another table in the room was seated (when we were leaving, btw) . During that time every other customer in the restaurant was enjoying the ambiance of the actual dining area while we were alone in a stale room sitting next to the kitchen service door and forced to watch everyone load their plates up... very disappointed in this experience! I'm local and it's going to be difficult to recommend this business. I felt like we were being treated like a different class of citizen (for whatever reason) and sadly my children picked up on it too. By the way, the salmon was very undercooked (obviously rushed out) and the buffet did not include an omelet station.

Wow! Fantastic vibe, a place to see and be seen. Funky decor that kept my eyes roaming. Tasty Italian Appletini that I wanted to slurp instead of sip. Definitely will be back to enjoy again!

Possibly one of the worst meals I've had in Bend . The service and atmosphere were great but our party of 4 were very disapointed in the food. The Caesar salad was dry and flavorless. I had to request more dressing, parmesean cheese and lemon. The mushroom soup was plain and grainy in texture, The cioppino consisted of tomato sauce with a few shrimp and clams. The mahi mahi was very dry. There was not one thing we ordered that we liked.

If the meal names with their long list of trendy ingredients tasted half as good as they sounded, I would have had a great meal. Sadly, the tastes were bland. Innovative maybe, but missed the mark. Average to below average food quality.

4.5/5 stars. we went for happy hour and had some curried shrimp spring rolls, shrimp miso soup, vegetable tempura and creme brulee for desert. we ordered oysters but they only had a few left, so they gave them to us at discount. very cool decor, comfortable chairs and swanky bathrooms. they had a limited beer selection(5 or 6 choices) but a lot more wine and cocktail options. the creme brulee was quite tasty and probably the highlight of the experience. i wouldn't come here every week, but it is certainly a cool place to take someone for that "wow" factor

just dont get the rave reviews on this. we had a very mixed experience - some things were good, others not so much & given the priciness of the place, it wasn't acceptable to me.

(2)Alicia W.

(5)Vincent F.

(2)Linda M.
Fabulous it's! Maybe pricey for Bend. But great chic chic food and service. We loved it.
(5)Monica R.

Is this what zero funding in music education in public schools since the 1970's produced? ;(. So sad!

Excellent service, food, and ambiance. Let's not complicate it... Great restaurant! The manager was filling in as host tonight and was so attentive and wonderful. We'll definitely be back!
(5)Dave W.
(5)Alejandra B.
(5)Dave K.
(5)Michele M.
My salad was all white, no green leaves. Dressing ok. Atmosphere was great though and staff nice.
(3)Ryan C.
Celebrated my wife's birthday here...calamari was amazing, the steak was outstanding, and Tom (our waiter) gave us incredible service. But what really impressed us was the complimentary champagne and dessert they gave my wife. Highly recommend this restaurant!
(4)Heather L.
The food is delicious, the presentation is magnificent, and the decor is unique. This is the only restaurant I've been to where one can order a glass of absinthe, and they know how to serve it properly.
(5)Terry T.
(4)Eric H.
(5)Renge' G.
(3)Drew H.
Hit the place for the $10 business lunch served in 10 minutes.....10 below..get the deal? pretty decent food, not great but I was happy and for the price of a burrito we had fine dining and not crowded at all. actually a bit quiet. I would do it again...i mean hey $10....
(4)Shelly C.
FANTASTIC - food and drinks were amazing! Will come back for sure!
(5)Don E.
(5)Christina P.
(4)Jennifer H.
(3)Lindsey G.
Dinner and service was exceptional! Very high end experience and food at a reasonable price. Every dish we had was above expectations. We will definitely be back! The wedge salad was the best we'd ever had. I highly recommend it!
(5)Dec A.
Sorry!
(2)Jennie A.
(4)John A.
(3)Gianna M.
Fabulous food, great prices and friendly staff. Brittney is a fantastic server! Makes one hell of a pear martini.
(5)Bj T.
think we have found a new great breakfast place in Bend. Affordable, really good coffee. excellent potatoes. and everything was served hot! weird silverware, but then I am a little picky about silverware that isn't balanced right and conflicts with arthritis. will definitely return for a breakfast treat
(5)Michele R.

Very nice evening! Lively fun atmosphere and attentive service. Easy parking in the garage. Appetizers were yummy -calamari and oysters. My salmon was perfect and husbands Lamb was very good! But disappointed the starch and veggie for the salmon were undercooked cubes of some assorted root vegetables- not good. Delicious Choc soufflé! Oh and they offer an amazing absinthe presentation! Wow!

(3)Bryce S.

Happy hour isn't so happy anymore. What happened to 3 dollar bears, the incredible Mac n cheese, and tacos! I'm extremely disappointed.
(1)Karen S.
Love the variety of choices from gourmet to comfort foods. Wait staff attentive and efficient. Best of all is the food. Wow! We had dinner there recently and found everything beautifully presented and delicious. Coming from a foodie town, I'm critical of restaurants. This one is one I would return to again.
(5)Whitney H.

Service was fine. The menu didn't appeal to me.

I heard through the grapevine that 10Below hired a new chef and her food wasn't that good, so I decided to come in for dinner and see if the rumors were true. The menu was very weird to me. It had the classic central Oregon food that every non-brew pub restaurant has, steak with bleu cheese something, chicken wings, pork with some sort of corn product, and a stuffed chicken, (also, thanks 10Below for the $5, I made a bet that you would have creme brûlée and bread pudding on your dessert menu)! I dragged my wife and a couple of our friends down to 10Below on Friday evening to have dinner. We decided to share our apps and entrees so we could have a couple drinks and not go broke. Everything that I tried was mediocre to subpar. Cooked very nicely, but just didn't understand where the chef was going with the food. Was she trying to be NW along with, I think, Indian food? Another reason I think the food was subpar was because I asked if She was in the kitchen and our server told us she went home for the night. I am well aware that the chef doesn't actually cook all the food being sent out, but the chef should be checking the food that is going Out........ Maybe the breakfast or early lunch food would be better since it's getting her seal of approval. I'll definitely come back to 10Below, I'll just be drinking my dinner!

10 minutes, 10 dollars, 10 Below! Great deal - delish and fast! I was beyond impressed ... wish I was still there cause I would go for lunch tomorrow if I could.
(5)Allison C.

Great food, wine, mixed drinks and service.

(3)Cliff C.
Food was not worth the price of admission. Slow service and poor drinks. Would not go back.

Had dinner there. They just hired a new executive chef. Food was very good. Service was excellent and atmosphere was swanky!

(5)Greg G.
(4)Lucy L.
Awesome atmosphere and great happy hour food and drinks. My great boyfriend surprised me and order the creme brulee (one of my desserts of choice always) while I was checking out the crazy decor in the bathrooms. Creme Brulee was aahhhmazing!
(4)Angela T.

(1)Kyle R.
If the meal names with their long list of trendy ingredients tasted half as good as they sounded, I would have had a great meal. Sadly, the tastes were bland. Innovative maybe, but missed the mark. Average to below average food quality.
(2)Beverly M.
We think the hotel & its restaurant are the best in Bend!
(5)Shane B.
(4)A. B.
just dont get the rave reviews on this. we had a very mixed experience - some things were good, others not so much & given the priciness of the place, it wasn't acceptable to me.
