My colleague and I had lunch at Stockpot as an advance trip for customer visits to the Beaverton area. Our goal was to find a fine dining establishment for entertaining our customers. We ordered lunch fish tacos and stroganoff. The food was less than impressive to be kind. It certainly was not worth the price. The fish tacos were marginal, the beef stroganoff was salty. I would not classify this restaurant as " fine dining".

If it's not broke, don't try and fix it. Why are you changing things? Five plus years of consistently excellent food until last night. Prawns decent but a bit off. Prime rib good but why the nasty gravy? Where's the garlic in the smashed potatoes? $6 side Caesar consisted of 3 small pieces of romaine lettuce, 4 croutons and a burnt piece of cheese. Stop changing things.

We had dinner on December 28, 2014 and it was a wonderful meal and experience. It was our anniversary and we were given the royal treatment. But, the best part was the dinner. Launa had the salmon which she loved and I had the bouillabaisse which was to die for. In the past I always had NY steak which is a favorite, but I now have a new favorite. The staff was and always has been super attentive, professional and friendly. Thank you Stockpot staff!!

I came here for a friend's graduation dinner. They accommodated a party of about 35 people and even helped plan a dinner menu for the event beforehand. Appetizers were set out just as we got there -- crab cakes, brie with bread and crackers, etc. -- and it made for an awesome way to start the evening. We were given an option of steak or salmon, and (especially) considering the number of entrees they had to prepare, I was really impressed with the execution of both proteins. I forget the cut of steak we were served, but being on the leaner side, I was surprised that they cooked each steak to a perfect medium/medium rare. The salmon was also cooked really well and the accompaniments were delicious. Service was great. Attentive and thoughtful. And I think everyone enjoyed their time here; I know I did.

The stockpot has been a favorite place for my husband and I for a few years now. We have celebrated some of our most important life moments there. We had our wedding reception on the patio back in 2012 and our baby shower about two weeks ago. Everything was perfect for both. People still tell me how much they enjoyed the food at the wedding. Murray was so awesome and the chef Josh was really great as well. He made separate vegan meals for 2 of my wedding guests and came out to deliver them personally. The entire staff is fantastic and we always leave stuffed and very happy. I'm a huge fan of the prime rib, and the crab cakes pretty much blew my mind the last time we came in. I just can't say enough good things about the stockpot and I know we will continue to eat here any chance we get.

"I've experienced better" - 2 stars - really captures it. I've experienced better *here*. Two years ago, the chicken & waffles was something to savor: flavorful and fluffy waffle with lightly-fried chicken breast, greens to garnish and rich syrup. Today it was a dense, soft waffle topped with over-fried, dry chicken and a pittance of weed-like greens. Not worth the price, even using a Passport card. My vegetarian companion had it worse. The lunch menu was wholly lacking of vegetarian fare, spare its bruschetta. The chef's "creative" solution for her was kid's mac 'n cheese. Our server was attentive and helpful; no complaints there. And the view down no. 18 of Red Tail helped to reconcile our experience. I know this place is good, or was. The notable lack of patrons at noontime on Saturday was perhaps telling. It could be a result of location, but with Portland's diversity of culinary delights so near, Stockpot may no longer stack up.

My wife and I are typical Portland foodies, in other words we enjoy fresh, organic, locally sourced food and try to eat at restaurants that use such. Someone purporting to also be a foodie, had recommended this restaurant so we had lunch there today. The Cobb salad had crisp lettuce but not much flavor. (Meriwether's has a much better, Cobb type salad.) The Monte Cristo sandwich was a bit soggy and the turkey in it had definitely seen better days. I tried the prime rib French dip. Again so, so. (For a fantastic French dip go to the Ringside Fish House.) The service was good, the atmosphere very pleasant. The chairs were comfortable although they had all seen better days, as the upholstery on them was stained. Our server raved about Sunday brunch. My wife asked who made the pastries for this brunch. The answer was Sysco. So if one enjoys foods from Sysco Food Services, this is the place to go. It is highly doubtful that we'll ever visit here again.

Service was good. We went at 4 pm and had to sit in the bar area. Cocktails were terrific. Great appetizer: we had baked Brie and roasted garlic. We also had Meatloaf sliders and a prime rib dip. Very good! Would love to come back And eat in the fancy dining room.

Nice to look at. This is a country club kind of place. The food is beautifully presented. The wait staff is very friendly. The menu is interesting. The management is buying cheap meat. It just has no taste. My adult son ordered the large prime rib. The plan was to take home some for the next day. When he was full there was mashed potato, really nicely prepared asparagus and at least half of the prime rib! the plan was perfect but his comment was that he wanted to take the veggie and potato only, the meat wasn't worth packing. I had the same thing and totally agreed. We don't like to waste food so we took it all but it was no better today.

Came here after reading all the reviews and really enjoyed it! I was bummed that I couldn't get the chicken and waffles (only served Sundays) but ordered the tempera green beans and monte cristo... DELISH and paired with a Perfect mimosa. Definitely worth trying

Sorry to say that the food has slid and we will not go back. Too bad as the servers are great and the location, along a golf course, is nice. But, food is #1 and Stockpot Broiler is no longer what it use to be.

Great ambiance, especially in the lounge for happy hour with friends or a romantic, intimate date night. Awesome happy hour, and great cocktail list! The lobster bisque is AMAZING. Also, can't go wrong with just about ANY of the generous-sized appetizers!

A golf course next to the Washington Square mall seems like an odd place to find a great restaurant, but here it is! I've had a series of positive experiences here for dinner. The meals, while a tad on the expensive side, have been consistently delicious with excellent presentation and I haven't had any issues with the service. The lobster bisque is a real treat! I haven't had a chance to try out the lounge, but according to their website, they have quite the selection. In addition to happy hour specials, they have a few dinnertime specials such as Tuesday's 1/2 off large plates. Food: 5 Service: 4 Ambiance: 4 Value: 3 TL;DR: Solid 4-star place

Stopped by here on are way home and I am glad we did. The dining area was all booked, but the bar had room. The food was a little pricey, but the food was excellent. We will definitely be back for a more planned out dinner and to try the the other stuff on the menu. I do have to say the cioppino was really tasty and my fiances prime rib was so tender.

So I am kind of embarrassed to admit to this, but I almost ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory at Washington Square. But, that was before we were told it would be a 50 minute wait for a table. Seriously? Plan B--after quickly checking my phone--was the Stockpot Broiler. I can't tell you how thankful I am we went here for lunch instead. I was surprised by the small lunch menu...literally a small menu. But, there was enough variety that anyone would be pleased. I decided on lobster bisque and salad. The soup was gorgeous. It was poured at the table over a small plating of lobster. And, my salad was also excellent. My fellow diners also said their food was excellent. Moreover, we probably spent nearly the same that we would have at the Cheesecake Factory. That said, the difference in service, attentiveness, and comfort could not be further apart. The Stockpot restaurant overlooks a serene view of the golf course. The interior ambiance is decidedly last century elegance, and you won't find any gaggle of smug hipsters drinking $15 craft cocktails here, but who needs that? We were treated to first class service--super attentive but not fussy. Also, we had the added perk of a tranquil atmosphere in which to dine. No three ring circus, no squalling babies, no mall rats, no Portlandia-style treatises about hand-picked, heritage potatoes grown in Jeremiah's back yard. Just perfect tranquility, light conversation, and great food, and impeccable service. This place has old school charm, and I will definitely be returning for dinner.

This is one of MY FAVORITE 5 star restaurants in the burbs (Are their other 5 star joints in the burbs?) They are celebrating their 30 year anniversary and had a special "throw back menu" I had the: Apple Cider Brained Chop Grilled Over Fire Pommes Frites with Truffle Oil and Fresh Herbs Wild Forest Mushroom Ragout Honestly, one of the best meals I have ever had. My husband had some fancy seafood dish and he thought about licking the plate it was so good. :-) (not really). We go here every couple of months, we are almost always the youngest (I am 39, hubby is 41) Service is also five star. Looking for a quiet meal in an upscale atmosphere close to SW... GO here.

The Stockpot Broiler has for years been an excellent place to enjoy traditional American cuisine. The restaurant itself is right next to the Red Tail Golf Center. The Stockpot Broiler offers an atmosphere that is elegant, old school, and oh so comfortable. For starters, The Stockpot Broiler has one of the best if not the best Happy Hour in Beaverton. Happy Hour is from 4 PM until 6 PM and from 9 PM until close. The Happy Hour menu is huge and features the delicious and ever popular 1/2 pound cheeseburger for $4.50. However, you definitely won't find $4.50 cheeseburgers in the main restaurant. Here the prices eek up considerably. The dinner menu is heavy on steaks and seafood. The entrees here hover around $30. Side items like salads and soups are a la carte and ordered separately. To be fair The Stockpot Broiler offers some "lighter fare" entrees which are around $20. The proportions are quite generous so for most people the lighter fare items should do just fine. My dinner companion and I ordered the small cut of prime rib. After we had finished our dinners we were so very glad that we didn't get the large cut of prime rib. When I made our reservations for The Stockpot Broiler the dress code said "business casual." Well, we were two guys in our work clothes who had just gotten off the loading dock. However, the staff at The Stockpot treated us with the utmost dignity, friendliness, and respect. The Stockpot Broiler. A shining star in Beaverton's fine dining scene.

Hands down, one of the nicest and best restaurants in the area. We've been coming for over 20 years and tonight's anniversary dinner just sealed the deal again. Our server, Sharon, is the consummate professional that you will not find elsewhere. She truly knows how to take care of you, and she does it well. The food is absolutely outstanding, the ambience is wonderful, it is a relaxing 2 hours for dinner and well worth every penny. Easy 5 stars.

I was really excited to come here since it's my fiancés favorite restaurant and he had good memories here. However our dinner was far from relaxing. We ordered a mushrooms stuffed with crab, salad, salmon and a bouillabaisse. The mushrooms were amazing but we never got the salad. Instead we got two bouillabaisse instead of one and my salmon. After having them sent back to receive our salad, the bouillabaisse was reserved to my fiancé cold and the salmon that is glazed with honey tasted more like a breakfast entree than a dinner one. Sadly that experience will not bring us back, not even for the mushrooms.

First and foremost Corn-fed beef!!! Honestly?? corn-fed and they are proud of it (shame!) I can't stand it anymore that restaurants still use and are proud to use corn-fed beef. The "standardized" flavor that corn fed cows develop is atrocious! They should be using grass fed cows. YES grass! the green stuff that cows naturally feed on. Grass fed beef tastes "beefier" and has much better flavor. Also, beef from the midwest, I don't understand why they don't support local Oregon farms?? Yes I get it , it would be more expensive but at what cost? flavor and support of the Oregon agriculture. I'll eat steak somewhere's else, thank you.

Finally tried out Stockpot's HH....why wasn't I going here more often!? It was great! I love the old school steak house feel and it was great to sit outside. Well drinks were only $3.50, beers for around the same price. No wine on Happy Hour though. Thought that was odd. The food, (nothing costing more than $3.95) was pretty tasty. The salad rolls I would not recommend as they were nothing like what you would get in an Asian place. The fish tacos were good and the nachos were average. Looking around at other's plates the Hamburger looked good. $3.95 for burger and chips. Not too shabby. There was lots of options and this was a nice change from some of the downtown HH's. that either don't have drink specials or the food is overpriced. I also learned that they do half-off dinner entrees on Tuesdays? Did I hear correctly? If so, I'm totally in! I also hear I HAVE to try out the lobster bisque. That shall be next on the list!

I was quite surprised that this wonderful restaurant is tucked away in the suburbs. The service and ambiance were wonderful. Come here for the prime rib! The portion is huge and you can get away with splitting the prime rib with your friend or significant other with plenty of leftovers. We also tried the apple Gorgonzola baked brie to split as an appetizer and the french onion soup which was more than enough for myself. The wilted spinach bacon salad was one of my favorites for the night and I never had anything like it, it was sweet and sour and every bite was accompanied with bacon. Another note, we went here to celebrate a friend's birthday and to our surprise they comped us with a glass of champagne for everyone and a ice cream sundae.

This restaurant is defiantly a little too overpriced my husband ordered the stuffed prawns it was $28 and you get 5 shrimp with some crab on top not worth 28 .. I ordered the chicken it was a large portion and both dishes were delicious! The good is great the price isn't. It's a place for special occasions.

My sister held her graduation dinner here. Our reservation was for Saturday at 5:30pm for a party of 9. As our waiter was pouring our wine I checked the other Yelp reviews, looked around, and did notice a lot of "elderly" people here dining. That doesn't really intimidate me, because I'm not here to stare at everyone else, I'm here to enjoy a great meal and hopefully some great service, and I was not disappointed. So, this is more of an upscale restaurant overlooking a golf course, great for dates and celebrations. They offer a variety of classic American fare such as steaks, fish, salads and desserts. The wine was a local Syrah recommended by our waiter. I can't for the life of me remember the name, but it was a great recommendation and we wound up getting a second bottle. For appetizer I tried the brie in phyllo dough and roasted garlic. I thought the garlic was too strong, and overpowered the brie, almost making it spicy. Miss. Lobster bisque: I just can't resist ordering this when it's on the menu. They place a bowl in front of you, sans bisque, with a little pile of lobster, creme frache and chives in the center. Then they take the bisque and pour it down the center of the bowl so that the little pile dispenses through the soup. It's a fun presentation. The bisque was thick, creamy and delicious. Not too salty and really filling. It's yummy when you dip the complimentary bread in it. Filet Mignon: offered in an 8 ounce portion, I request it be cooked medium. It was cooked perfectly and was very tender. It also came with garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and crispy onions strings on top. Loved the sides, but the crispy onion strings were a disappointment, as they only provided texture, but had no taste. Red Robin makes better onion strings. But overall, a great dish. This place is great because the sides actually come with the steak and you don't have to order and pay for them separately. To me, this makes the price of ordering steak a bit more reasonable. Flat iron steak: offered in 10 ounce portion, requested to be cooked medium rare. It was served sliced on a biscuit with a poached egg, wild mushrooms, seranno ham and a red wine reduction. Yes, I said biscuit and poached egg. A little unusual, which was the whole reason we ordered it. I kinda thought it was the chef's playful way of remaking steak and eggs. I thought this dish tasted pretty good, but I was more impressed by it's creativity. Hazelnut & chocolate ice cream - ice cream was not the word that was used, it was a much fancier word that I can't think of, but this was basically what it was. It was two "slices" of ice cream that had a layer of hazelnut and a thicker bottom layer of chocolate. The hazelnut layer had actual hazelnuts in it and there were hazelnuts sprinkled all over the plate. I am a big fan of hazelnuts, but I guess more so the flavor and not the nuts. This dessert was just okay and sounded better on the menu. The service was excellent. Plates were cleared and water glasses filled appropriately. Our waiter told was engaging and told good jokes. My husband and brother actually had to leave the table for about half an hour to go to the pharmacy when our food came and our waiter kept their plates in the kitchen until they returned so their food could be hot when they returned. I thought that was a nice touch. The hostess was also very friendly and smiled like she actually enjoyed her job, which I think it a good indication of a great restaurant. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Happy Hour is to die for, cheap and large portions. Sunday brunch is always fun and quiet. Very peaceful watching the geese on the golf course. For Easter Sunday, we did not want to cook anything at home. Although the price was spendy for Easter Brunch, they provided a $25 Gift Certificate for next entree' dining, which was a nice surprise. One time I called to find out when Happy Hour ended and the waitress was so cool. She informed me that the kitchen was down, due to a power outage and they were only serving salads. She realized it was better to be fully honest on the phone to prevent a disappointing experience for the customer. This strengthened my loyalty to this establishment.

Came here for the Murder Mystery show and had drinks in the bar before hand. We also ate here as well. It was really good and everyone was really friendly. We received refill on our drinks right away and all our food in a timely manner. Next time we are in Oregon we will be back!

I live in Washington but I visit the Tigard area often because I have family there. Whenever I'm in town I eat dinner at the Stockpot (and sometimes Sunday brunch too)! We joke about wanting to take one of everything home with us for leftovers because the food is so delicious! The service is excellent too, whether you're in the bar or the dining room! My favorite is the french onion soup and my steak is always cooked perfectly! The last time I was there I ordered the pork chop...Seriously delicious! A must try! An after dinner Spanish Coffee is always a perfect treat too. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Overall a great experience. Service: 9/10 friendly, fast and knowledgeable. My server had been there 12 years and recommend a great wire pairing to my meal. Ambiance: 8/10 I sat outside. It was a perfect 75F and sunny evening with a beautiful view overlooking the golf course... it could not have been much better. They'd get a 9 if the outdoor seating was not plastic lawn chairs. Food Selection: 8/10 Very good variety for all courses Food Quality: 9/10 very high Food Flavor: 8/10 Excellent my Lamb shank was done perfectly. The flavor of the sauce and the parmesan polenta matched the texture and flavor of the lamb perfectly. I don't even like polenta and I'd eat that any day! The Lobster bisque was excellent. Could have been a bit warmer and a little more lobster chunks would have been nice - but the flavor was good and I'd get it again. All the deserts were home made but I was so full I could not eat any more.

Food: went here for brunch. In short, it wasn't bad, wasn't spectacular either. They have a mini buffet thing that includes various fruits, breads, and pastries. I had the chicken and waffles. The skin was really good, but the meat was kind of bland for my taste. My gf had the hunters breakfast it was average. Service: really good. People was genuinely friendly. Environment: seems to have a lot of old people as customers, but I don't giv a fuk since I'm there for the food. The restaurant overlooks the golf course, so that was different. Overall: I give it a three because of the food. Nothing spectacular, but nothing for me to complain about either (brunch). I'd give it a 3 and a half cuz of the service..

Made a reservation for a weeknight business dinner for seven and arrived to find that it appeared we had just one server for about eight tables in the dining room. As you can imagine, the service was less than stellar. We wondered if she would ever be back to take our dinner order as we waited at least 30 minutes from when we placed our drink orders to when we finally ordered dinner. Good thing conversation was flowing and the night wasn't a total loss. On the good side, the food was decent, not great, but not bad either. This isn't Ringside or Salty's, but we didn't feel like fighting traffic into downtown, so all in all, it wasn't a horrible decision, but I don't think we'll be dining here again anytime soon.

The first time we had dinner here was about 3 years ago and it ruined prime rib for me forever. It was really bad. I guess enough time had gone by for me to try it again and there were some good reviews on yelp. The steaks are just horrible here. I asked for medium rare and got medium well. I ate it because it took quite a while for it to get to my table and I was starving. If you have any idea what good food is just don't eat here, go somewhere else.

We host an annual summer buffet banquet here in the tent, following a golf tournament. The food has always been excellent for our group of about 50. The chef is easy to work with, helps us stay within budget and guests are complimentary about the choices available. Each year we have a different theme and with very little effort on our part, the chef and staff perform brilliantly. They also set up tables for our silent auction, a podium and PA system, all as we wish. It works for us and our event, which totals about 15 years running, so we speak from experience.

The food here is good, but the service was unbearably slow and pushy. On a Tuesday night in a half filled restaurant, it took 1 hour and 15 minute for the food to come out. The waitress passed the buck and explained that she just delivers food when it comes up. The other practice I didn't like was that the waitress upsold the soup and salad--you know when they make ask you "would you like the soup or the salad with that" in a way that makes you think that it's included. But when the bill comes, there's an extra $8 charge for the salad. She refilled my uncle's beer when he specifically and clearly said no to a refill (but he's a more gracious guy than me and didn't make a stink about it). So, I enjoyed my roast chicken quite a bit and everybody's steaks were well cooked. But it took over 2 hours on what was a busy week night for me. For a place with $25 entrees and $8 dinner salads, I think you could do much better in this town.

I've been to Stockpot about 2 dozen times in the past 5 years. The restaurant has a moderately classy atmosphere. The dining area is dark and quiet. There is a good view of Red Tail Golf Course's 18th hole and can be a nice little hangout after a round with your buddies. Honestly, I can picture the bar here being a cougar hangout. It has an old-school feel with some old-school service. Unfortunately with all this comes the old-school stereotypes and discrimination. The crowd they cater to is clearly the older type. If you're over-the-hill, this is a great restaurant for you. I'm in my mid-twenties and have brought friends here for dinner. Service is mediocre when I'm here with friends (especially compared to when I come with my parents). Some of this is probably my fault because I don't wear a collared shirt whenever I come. The food isn't "blow your mind creative", but it's conservative and made properly. The flavoring is tasteful but not overpowering. It's primarily northwest style cuisine. Dessert is pretty good here too. Just don't get the flour-less chocolate cake (if they still have it) because if you're going to be naughty, you need to go all the way right? Average dish price for dinner is about $24-28. When comparing to other restaurants in the Portland area, I would personally say that the food is about $3 overpriced. This isn't bad considering that you will usually get seated immediately and that the food won't disappoint. Overall, a good place to bring your parents to. Note: I've never ordered the chicken here.

The Stockpot Broiler has become my wife & I's 'go-to' place. You know, the place to go when you've had a long day and you want no b.s. just a well-made cocktail (no $9 martinis here, thank you), and a thoughtful wine list that complements the menu. This relaxes you into an unbelievably fairly priced ($3-$4.50 bar appetizers) menu that can be dressed up in the dining room or dressed down in the bar overlooking the 18th green of RedTail. With what a meal out costs, we've never been disappointed with the menu or quality and the staff is always gracious.

The service was outstanding both time I went. The food is AMAZING. I love the truffle oil french fries. The restaurant is busy yet cozy and quiet for being a busy place since the booths are large and semi-private. They keep the water glasses filled all the time. It seems like they have a special guy just to pour water! The food is full of flavor and always fresh. The salads are delicious. We tried the wilted spinach salad. YUM. And the pear champagne salad. YUM. The steak was cooked to perfection and full of robust flavor. Green beans were fresh. Oh yea- did I mention the truffle fries? Mashed potatoes are authentic and buttery. Dessert was bananas foster and the only thing was that I dislike cold crepes, but the rest was fabulous. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a classy date. Get the entertainment book coupon to save $22.00 off dinner. They also give you a $15 off coupon for your return visit!

Beaverton is not exactly the hot bed for good restaurants, but after a change (for the better) in Chef's, Stockpot is back on our list of favorites. For a number of years, this was our go-to restaurant when we wanted a nice dinner. We were very sad when the menu took a nose dive a few years ago. That Chef has been replaced by one who is creative in a delicious way! We've enjoyed several good meals here over the past couple months. Most recently had the Cajun Rockfish, and potato crusted mahi-mahi. Both were unusual and delicious, perfectly prepared and the sides were a great complement to each of the dishes. To make your dining experience perfect, make sure you are seated in Sharon's area- follow her recommendations and you won't be disappointed!

We were not sure what to do for Thanksgiving 2009...but my husband found this place and made reservations. We entered the front door and we were greeted with gusto. We were taken directly to our table and treated like kings and queens. This is the place to go for holidays...and for every days. :) I am attaching our dinner photos.

This is not the kind of place I want to like-- sort of old school and generic. But I have to admit, they do it really well. Also, we went in jeans and were treated like royalty the whole time. Great experience, they take passport, and I'm totally going back. Better than the more expensive steak places downtown, and more parking!

If you asked me to review The Stockpot 3 or 4 years ago I would have nothing but glowing things to say. The Stockpot used to be an excellent restaurant in the Portland suburb of Tigard. The food and waitstaff were Amazing, even if they did cater to an older clientele. They had some of the best prime rib around, the spinach salad was spectacular and the bread was fresh and delicious. Unfortunately, after eating there last week I can say none of those glowing things. Maybe they have a new chef? Either way they are trying way too hard to be a trendy foodie restaurant and are seriously missing the mark. I ordered the lamb shank with gruyere scalloped potatoes. It sounds delicious but is was very bland. My husband ordered the steak tenderloin; i am pretty sure that was an appetizer portion, and again it was bland. The prices have gone up and the food quality has plummeted. Unfortunately we will not be going to The Stockpot again.

We went here for our anniversary, with our 16 month old in tow (read no sitter available). Other reviews are right: this place does skew to the older crowd, and it is expensive, but that's not what I found disappointing. We had a reservation, but we had to still wait for a table for 15 minutes, only to be seated and see other 4-top tables empty (wha..?). The host never offered to take our coats, we had to ask. We got a high chair for our son, and quickly found out there is NOTHING for a child to eat at this restaurant. We can blame ourselves for that, I guess, but I don't think I've ever been to a restaurant that doesn't have one thing for a child other than a side of mashed potatoes. The waitress was fakey friendly, as if she was annoyed by our boy (who was hungry), and seemed like she'd rather be waiting on other tables. When the food came, my husband's steak was overcooked (medium-rare = medium here) and the mashed taters were OK. My veal osso bucco was very tender and pretty good overall, but nothing spectacular. All in all, for the price we paid (over $100 for 2 of us + 2 cocktails & a bottle of wine), it was not worth it. Add the fact that there was nothing for our baby to eat, I don't think we'll go back again.

This is old-school dining with real service and fantastic food. It reminds me of the family-owned places of the 1970's, where the owners cared about the customers and the food was great every time. I've only been once, but the memory is so good that I had to review it and get the word out!

I've eaten at the stockpot twice now.. both times, the service was very good (great) and the food was exceptional. The large windows have a great view of the golf course, which makes for a nice dining experience in the evening. The bouillabaisse is some of the best I've had outside of Paris, France, and the Caesar salad is very good. It skews a bit older, and a bit more expensive, but I believe totally worth it.

"Only" Happy Hour! For the price $14.95 for a Prime Rib and prepared med rare is a great thing that they have there. The burger is also a good choice.

I have been here a few times, and everytime it has been a great experience. This is a great place to go with family, date, or even by yourself. The dining room is set up very nice, and the bar is very casual. The staff is wonderful and VERY knowledgeable of their menu. I have tried their tenderloin and gourmet burgers, and they are delicious!

We went to The Stock Pot with friends a few days before Christmas and have been there about four times in the past. We selected this restaurant for the nice quite atmosphere. They service extremely polite and efficient. As it turned out there was a large table of families with crying and sick kids seated right next to us. The parents did a yeoman's job of trying to keep the noise down. This has to be excused especially at Christmas time with so many people visiting for the holidays. We ordered Prime Rib which turned out to be the best I've ever had. The wilted spinach salad was top of the line. We recommend you try this romantic spot. We certainly will be back soon.

We have been to the Stockpot Broiler on special occasions for the last six years. Based on friendliness of the hostess and waiting staff, quality of food and value for the amount spent, this is one of the finest restaurants in Portland. We were just there last night to celebrate my birthday. When we arrived there was party confetti tastefully sprinkled on the table. At the end of our meal we each received a glass of champagne to toast, and I was given an ice cream sundae with a candle. They took extra steps to make my birthday a memorable occasion. It was a wonderful evening.

i walked in... followed the host to our table and for a second thought i was in the dining room of a retirement center or something.... i believe it's next to a golf course or country club or something.... although it was a bit dark and most of the ppl were older than my parents, the food was REALLY good. family and i went there during the holidays... tried the crab cakes, they were ok, not the best i've had.... ordered the new york steak.... it was HUGE and oh, so juicy!!! i was only able to eat about a quarter of it, that's how big it was... the NW bouillabaisse was also REALLY good and so was the sesame seared ahi.... i'd definitely go back.. even if most of the diners there were a bit older...

We wanted steaks in the Beaverton neighborhood and saw that this place has good reviews so we decided to try it. It's an odd name for what turned out to be an upscale restaurant next to a golf course! The wine list turned out to be well worth perusing. Two of our party got a wine flight which is always amusing and educational. All of the wines were worth drinking, though my Malbec turned out to be the hit of the evening with others of the party deciding to order it after a sampling, I'd rate it among the best of its variety I've ever had. The iceberg wedge salad was pronounced both huge and tasty by those who selected it. My daughter and I both had the carmelized onion soup. If you are a fan of French onion soup, this is an excellent version, very rich with the right balance of. beef stock, sweet onions and melted gruyere. The portion was rather too large for an appetizer. A lighter eater could happily pair it with a salad for a full meal! But we'd come for steaks and we all ordered some version of the New York steak. I was the lone dissenter, having mine unadorned while my friends had theirs with a lavish poivre sauce. All were more than any one person could think to finish and came with (thankfully small) portions of mashed potatoes and nicely crisp, fresh green beans. Not stunning meals, but very well chosen and prepared basics, as good as we could.get anywhere! Stuffed and staring at our beefy doggie bags, we still fell for the allure of the dessert menu. Well, okay, we shared. There were two winners: the trio of house made sorbets and the burnt creme with chocolate. The trio was surprising: root beer, pear and marrionberry. Well, two out of three isn't bad, especially when one is so outstanding that you are glad you have a pear tree of your own so you can experiment and maybe recreate the amazing sorbet with a hint of cinnamon. The marrionberry - well, really - is it even possible to do anything with marrionberries that isn't pretty damned tasty? The only miss of the entire meal was the small scoop of root beer sorbet. It just wasn't worth the effort and ended up being abandoned in favor of the other two gems! The creme was a nice riff on a traditional creme brûlée, with a great sugar crust and chocolate accent. I'd probably give this place five stars if there hadn't been a lot of noise at times from rowdy groups in the bar. It ruined the quiet, mellow mood set in the rest of the restaurant. That and armchairs instead of straight back chairs made me less comfortable than I wanted to be. Still, for that bit of discomfort, the food was marvelous, the wine enjoyable and the ambiance generally very nice.

Very nice neighborhood bar and restaurant overlooking golf course. Good prime rib that's tender and good size portion. This wasn't as salty as the one from Ringside.

My friends have raved (and raved) about Stockpot - - How the portions were generous and worth your dollar - Not to mention how delicious the food was as well! - How the restaurant overlooks an 18-hole golf course.... - And to find this restaurant in the suburbs?! (What?! Not in Portland?!) I wanted to see what the fuss was all about! My friends made it seem as if it was a win-win situation! So I made reservations for a Saturday evening since my family was visiting me. Upon Saturday's arrival, we were kindly greeted by the hostess and she was able to seat us promptly. Like what other yelpers have mentioned, the vibe to Stockpot is very old-school! And yes, a bunch of the customers dining here are of retirement age - but I believe maybe it's because they live around here and they love classic dishes as well! BREAD - the complimentary bread was quite yummy! Especially since it tasted a bit different than other breads. Texture was soft. There were herbs used on the top of the loaf. But there was this "sweet" after-taste when eating the bread. It was a nice surprise! My boyfriend couldn't keep his hands off the bread! Butter was served alongside with the bread and was room temperature butter! Nothing too difficult to handle when spreading upon the bread. PRIME RIB - whether you chose the 12 oz. or the 16 oz. you're in for a surprise! A generous portion of meat is cooked (to your specificity) which is paired with some green beans and classic mash potatoes. Drizzled with its au jus, the dish is lip-smackin' worthy of a couple mouth-gasms! This dish is good enough to share for two or if you want to be greedy and have it all to yourself for leftovers is just as fine too! THE OSCAR - is one of Stockpot's original dishes! It's made it's reprise on the specials menu for their anniversary. The dish is not as large as the other dishes you'd see on the menu. A nice piece of petite steak is cooked (to your specificity) and is served with grilled asparagus and mash potatoes. This meal was a decent size to not make you feel so over-whelmingly full. A great choice of a dish to pair with red wine as well! LAMB SHANK - talk about going all Flintstone's! This piece of meat is served to you (bone and all) with the meat so tender and falling off the bone. You didn't really have to manipulate the thing at all! Served with risotto and squash upon the lamb's au jus. This dish is good enough for left overs as well! Service was awesome! Our waitress took care of us quite well. She answered our questions quite informatively! The water glasses were filled quite significantly. Even if you're glass was 3/4 full, they made sure it was full! I couldn't ask for better service! Stockpot has their own ample parking lot. Even if it was a busy night, you will still find a decent parking spot. So my friends were RIGHT ON THE SPOT! Stockpot is something worth raving about! (Not that I undermined their suggestion). If you're looking for a place for a fine-dining restaurant with an old-school/chill-vibe, wonderfully cooked classic food executed with flavor and super service, then I think Stockpot Broiler is a place you'd like to enjoy as well. I'd definitely come back here and try out dessert since I was too stuffed from my meal here. At least next time I'd share a meal to make room for that!

Don't waste your time or your money (because that is all the server and the restaurant seemed to care about). Service was awful and the food was ok, but the atmosphere was horrendous... the bartender could not stop talking about doing drugs and drinking. Never again, I know a handful of places that I would rather spend my money at, definitely not this place. My advice... go somewhere else.

My husband and I went here with his parents over the weekend. We'd never heard of it but found on Yelp and were impressed by the reviews. The name is a bit off-putting, in my opinion, as is the entrance. We have never been super impressed with restaurants at golf courses so we were a little weary. We didn't really know what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was dim and romantic, nice windows overlooking the golf course. This place is perfect for a special occasion or first date. Staff was extremely pleasant and attentive. The menu had just the right amount of options, great dishes to choose from but not so many that you're overwhelmed. My Apple salad was one of the best I've had in awhile. So delicious. He loved his Caesar as well. Literally, the moment we all finished our salads and they were cleared, the main course was dropped right in front of us. Talk about impeccable service! My short ribs and potatoes were pretty amazing and he said his steak was seasoned and cooked to perfection. The others ordered the salmon and prawns and were equally pleased. I let the server know it was my husbands birthday and they really went all out. Complimentary champagne was delivered to the table and it was wonderful. They then dropped a sundae with a candle in front of him and we were shocked. How thoughtful. If I had one critique, it would be the wine. Having worked in hospitality for the past eight years, primarily in california wine country, I was surprised that the Syrah we ordered wasn't chilled. The proper temperature for a white or red is 56 degrees, give or take, and you let the red breathe a bit until drinking so it's also slightly warmer than what it is stored at, but it should never be delivered at room temp or hotter. Red wine at room temperature is completely saturated and not even worth drinking to me so that was a disappointment. The restaurant itself was quite toasty so perhaps that had to do with it. Otherwise, fantastic experience!

I ordered beef short ribs, the rest of the group ordered King salmon, I wish that I would have as well. The short ribs arrived as a pile of over cooked mush on top of under cooked broccolini on top of pasty mashed potatoes. The Apple salad was delicious, although it arrived with no dressing, water glasses always were full, good rosemary bread. The meal was on a discount card which made the bill easier to pay...it did take the waitress two times to get it right. 20% gratuitous on the full check amount. I'll be back when I forget about the short ribs!

We go here every year for Easter brunch. Big Mike at the meat station is the greatest most cheerful fantastic part of brunch. It wouldn't be the same without him. The food is pretty yummy some items were cold but I overlook it all because of him. Whoever hired him was right on the money. The service can be slow which is odd because for Easter and Mother's Day brunch the waitresses don't serve you just take your drink order and bring your bill. I think often the waitresses and waiters see them selves above clearing dirty plates and one busser for 15 tables is not fair for him or the customers. If you get seated by the window in the lounge prepare for being blinded by the sun. With no shades to draw it can be a very uncomfortable meal.

I came here Saturday night with my friends for dinner before my senior prom. I have to say i will not be coming back. Although it was in a very pretty environment, dinner was extremely overpriced for what we were served. A friend of mine had something I don't remember what it was called but it was basically a big hunk of meat on a bone that although I thought it was cooked nicely it didn't have any special flavor to it at all! I had the Thai Prawns off of the appetizer menu that was $12, there was literally 5 shrimps, coleslaw and an orange tasting sauce that made me wonder why we didn't just go get McDonalds instead. Our waitress seemed to be very impatient and rude. I understand we're a bunch of kids that might get annoying to have to serve, but you should at least show us some respect because we're paying to eat here. It wasn't a very pleasant experience for me and that's just my opinion!

The setting is beautiful, right next to a golf course. We were seated next to the window. Service was very slow. Slow to take order, slow to fill empty water glasses and slow to serve food. French onion soup was overpriced at $6 for a small cup. Soup had green onions and tomatoes, strange and not tasty. Prime rib French Dip sandwich with crispy onion & mushroom was excellent. Fish and chips was a good portion with three pieces of crispy Alaskan cods, cole slaw and fries. Fish was cooked just right, fries were addicting and cole slaw was light and refreshing however without much flavor. All and all it was a good meal. Waitress could use some help. She was overwhelmed.

The restaurant is very nice, the staff pleasant, the atmosphere enjoyable the food not bad. So why only 3 stars you ask? It wasn't like they did anything wrong, it was just ...well... underwhelming. I thought their prices a little high, the taste and presentation were decent though the Kobe Beef burger was dry. The staff like I said was pleasant and attentive, Just the over all impression was ambivalent, maybe even pretentious. I'm sure at some point we will be back, just not going to be rushing it.

We thought it would be nice to sit outside near the golf course with the dog and baby while enjoying a meal. It was nice but the service did take awhile to get to us, once they did things went smoothy. As for the food it was decent but I think a bit high priced as it was very unimaginative and nothing really stood out as being particularly good. Everything was decent but just seemed well, par for the course.

Came here for the first time with my boss and it didn't disappoint, the layout of the restaurant is great, love overlooking a golf course. The menu has so many good things it literally took our group almost 30 minutes to decide what to get. I ordered the Fire Roasted Prawns and it's probably the best shrimp I've had in a long time! The bread they brought out was the only gripe I have, cold and dry..... When you have white cloth napkins and $25+ a plate for dinner, I expect better. Other than that, can't wait to go back and try their awesome happy hour menu!

A one-word review of the Stockpot: consistent. The food is consistently good and good quality. The service is consistently professional. The dining room is consistently comfortable. It's a consistently good experience. The menu changes a bit over time, but some items are -- you guessed it -- consistent. The menu is full of familiar classic favorites, nothing challenging or special or unique here. But, the food is well-made. My favorite part of the Stockpot is the dining room. It's comfortable. It's also quiet which is rare in restaurants these days. The Stockpot is a good place to go for a meal with someone you want to talk to.

A classic steak and seafood house in the middle of the suburbs. This is next to the Red Tail Golf Course on SW Scholls Ferry and is a old haunt for locals. A lot of blue haired folks here, but they have good taste. Great for large gatherings, too and they can seat you in the bar if you'd like. I've been a patron here off and on for years and did spend a few months working here, too. In the summer they used to have live music outside, so if you were playing the 18th hole, you heard some happiness and revelry, not distracting, but fun. I hadn't been here in a long while and thought I'd pop into the bar for a pint. The bartender's were changing over and the new guy changed a channel for me. The facts with the lounge, which I recently enjoyed. Low lighting Fireplace Solid TVs--with current listings on, sports, etc. Video Poker Happy Hour was good but a bit confusing. No happy hour drinks on Sun, but they did have Food Happy Hour Monday 3pm - CLOSE ! Great food offerings for happy hour from $2.95 - 4.95. I was overwhelmed by the size of my portions for two 2.95 apps. A caeser with side bread and rice paper salad rolls (huge) Hospitable staff, Draft beer offerings are boring, could use an update or a one off rotator at least.

I've never reviewed the stockpot? Well that has to change. First, I have only eaten lunch here, so this is a lunch review. I don't come here much, not because the food isn't good, or because the pricing is unfair, but mostly because of the vibe. Stockpot is the golf course restaurant, so if you are into the country club type vibe, it will be right up your alley. Not so much my thing, which is why I don't come here very often. In any event, the dining room is spacious and there is a nice view of the golf course out the window. There is also an outdoor patio with tables and umbrellas that is great for a sunny day. The service has always been very prompt and professional, and seating is generally fast. My water and drink if I ordered one are always refilled promptly The lunch menu has burgers and sandwiches, as well as a few other special dishes and more entrees. On my latest visit, I had the coconut shrimp, that came with a green salad, some rise, and a miso vegetable saute. There were four shrimp, or shall I call them prawns, they were very good, nice coconut breading, well prepared, not overcooked. There was a small salad with a very light dressing, wasn't sure if the salad was dressed after stirring it up, but there was a light sweet dressing on there. $15, I finished everything. This wasn't the best value, but some of the sandwiches and burgers are closer to $10 and you get a mound of fries with them, I usually eat too much when I get a burger. They are high end burgers as well, the type you want to order rare IMHO. Anyway, the food and service are both very good. Everything is well prepared, and the Stockpot compares favorably with other similar restaurants in the area. Why not five stars? Well if you dig the wealthy white golf culture, than you have just found home. The golf course is nice green space, but golf culture makes my skin crawl. The scene is so not for my tastes. I never felt like I have been treated poorly for not fitting in with the primary demographic though. But for the money, the food and service have been above average IMHO.

I've only been here once, but from that experience I can tell you that the food is very good. Solid, delicious food. The menu is beef, chicken, seafood with a little bit of sides on the side. Our waitress was great and the ambience was nice. It turns out they give $25 gift cards to patrons on holidays/special events, so we scored and will definitely be back to use it. My chipped water glass and lack of a cocktail menu were minor bummers, but they didn't really matter much. To get five stars from me you either need mind-blowing food and/or amazing atmosphere and service. This place is solid 4 stars, worth going.

I'm staying at a hotel in Beaverton and the traffic was terrible trying to get into downtown Portland tonight, so I decided to eat near the hotel. I saw this place on Yelp and thought I'd try it. What a nice place! I ate outdoors. And, it was on a golf course! I was shocked. It was beautiful and 72 outside. I got a 1/2 pound cheeseburger, homemade chips, a Dungeness Crab appetizer, and a local Oregon Pale Ale and it was $18 with tax! And it was incredible. Not to mention, the server was busy, but she didn't miss a beat and was very friendly. I'd definitely go back!
