Godawful joint. Unless you enjoy expensive tasteless "sea food", don't go here. It's nothing to savor. 30-40 sized shrimp deep fried, which comes to you covered with little crunchy particles of batter. Cole slaw terrible. Really, it's shit. The food comes in a small container half the size of a shoe box. For the price, go buy yourself a couple of pounds of REAL prawns, make a little pasta and eat with taste.

I think they have screwed up my order more than they have gotten it right!!! I love their chicken but ordering here is like playing Russian Roulette. And you will have to wait...a long time. To their credit though I have never received dried out crap chicken like I have at the NE Portland locations though - everything is always cooked well...it is just that your order takes forever no matter what time of day or night and you need to look to make sure they gave you what you ordered including sauces and such.

I used to think god wasn't real. Then I had Popeyes! Every bite felt like I was one crunch closer to nirvana. The spice blend in the gravy felt more right than anything I've encountered in my years of life. The surf n turf meal came with minimal shrimp but after being simply forced to buy a "tacklebox" meal to satisfy my shrimp needs I felt rather pleased with my 9pm dinner and ecstatic to be blessed with another biscuit to smother with honey. My lady and I were very happy we made the spontaneous decision to detour to Popeyes as opposed to the casino as planned! I'mma keep doin' me, Popeyes, you keep doin' you

This is Popeye's. If you don't already know Popeye's I'm not sure how you've made it this far in life, but I'm glad you've found them now. As far as fast food goes this is hands down by far the best we have. If we had In 'n' Out that might make it a race but we don't so Popeye's wins by a landslide. I used to mess around with the fried chicken until I realized the chicken strips also come in the spicy option, plus there's more surface area to cover with the crispy, wonderful coating. They are also much easier to dip into the blackened ranch sauce which really is half the reason to come here. Dip everything you possibly can into this sauce, it is a gift from the very Heavens above. Hallelujah and amen! The sides are ok, when they're fresh they're pretty good (I usually go with cajun fries) but it's not often that they're fresh. Just dip them in the ranch and you'll be fine. A hint if you're new to the drive thru here, check your order! I've always gotten mine correctly but all my friends swear that they only get a correct order about 60% of the time. So in the end the true lesson here is expect fast food, expect to pay a bit more than is normal for fast food, and put blackened ranch sauce on anything you can. I've given the place an extra star solely for that sauce, need I say more?

"Can you park please." is becoming this locations catch phrase, and I am tired of waiting ten minutes to a "fast food" place. I come here once a week because it is on the way home on the night that I am out late, and over the last several months I have had consistently poor service. It seems like the fries are never ready, and yet when I do get them they are usually cold. They get my order wrong sometimes and I have to go back, and they barely even apologize or offer me anything for my time. The food itself is usually good, but sometimes it is cold and sometimes they will give you the wrong thing. I like Popeyes as a whole, but this place has th same problems consistently. I think it is a training location, but still it seems like they aren't being trained in the right things.

You must give this Popeye's location credit. They sell the highest ratio of breaking to protein humanly possible. Their "popcorn 'shrimp'" is vastly more volume of dry breading than shrimp. And their shrimp are so tiny that many of them could fit thru the eye of a darning needle. Grade "F." The catfish component of the combo I had contained a reasonable portion of fish, but the over fried breading coupled with too much salt made it hard to finish the three small pieces. Grade "D." My decision to have "fish" was a very foolish one. Popeye's needed to more correctly advertise crispy breading with some dried protein. My gosh, the tiny shrimp had the consistency of leather shoelaces! Stick with the chicken pieces, I think.

I was once a BIG fan of KFC because once I tried Popeyes when they first opened here years ago and I didn't like it. Recently, meaning within the past two months and I enjoyed their chicken. I'm glad I gave it another shot after all these years. Their mild original chicken is YUM. Popeyes over KFC any day!! Also, the guy who took our order inside was very nice. Gave us a better deal then what was on the menu. Wish I remembered his name!

Fast food. Not my usual review thing, but I will admit I'm a sucker for a shrimp PoBoy! The staff was super friendly. And quick to offer my daughter a sample to make sure it wasn't too spicy for her. The dining room area was really clean! This is a fast food chicken place that specializes in "Louisiana" style chicken. Which by their estimation means spicy. And for fast food chicken, it's not terrible. I like the spice. Kids were ok with the popcorn shrimp and mild chicken tenders. They also had the Mac and cheese and had no complaints. While I don't like the stuff, they did, even though it seemed like the consistency looked a bit off. The popcorn shrimp is nothing crazy, but they are decent. Biscuits are way better than KFC. And the chicken wasn't super greasy either. However, my fries were pretty cold. And the seasoned green beans, kinda soupy. The place is a guilty pleasure of myne as I like their fries (normally, and hot). Also their specials can't be beat, sorry colonel. I would say there aren't enough NON spicy things for kids. But I'll always come by if I'm solo for a quick lunch.

HAIR IN THE POTATOES?!?! I ordered their special 2 piece and biscuit $2.99 which is a great deal! And a side of their creamy mashed potatoes and the Cajun gravy on the side, so I can dip my chicken in. Come on guys, please do not try to replace the one that had a hair in with the one in same batch? The proper thing to do would have been to toss the contaminated batch and bring out another batch, but who knows if all the mashed potatoes were mixed in with the same mixed vat...

Hey, y'all. This is bomb-diggity!! Coronal Sanders is glad that "he deeeade". The chicken isn't greasy and the mashed taters don't taste like baby food. This beach was a sparkling example of extreme OCD and an A++ according to any and all health inspectors. I feel bad because I trashed my receipt and didn't note the name of the dude who served me. He was not only an Oregon Duck fan and has plans to go there but he was clearly hating it but at the same time was pleasant and truly cared. Plus I went at like 5:30-- rush hour! Went inside and waited only 5 minutes. Did I mention how good the food is? I'm eating it cold as I write. Plus, it was my first time. I will become a regular. :))

My youngest daughter wanted to try this place so bad....What a disappointment! We paid almost $40.00 for bland crappy food. The employees are rude and don't want to try to assist you at all. If the rest of Popeyes are like this one then the commercials are false advertising their products. It would take me FOREVER to tell you just how bad my family's experience was today. From dealing with the cashier named Emi at the location. Then calling and trying to talk to Irene the management on duty who refused to give me corporates information because she said she was to busy. I was sitting outside at that time. They had one car in drive-thru and one in the parking lot. It was our first and our last time there. We will be letting others know not to go there. They are overpriced and the food is cold, bland and portions are small. KFC has better bang for your buck. Don't waste you time or your money.

I love Popeyes their food is amazing for fast food. It's just too bad that this specific location is terrible, not the food though BUT the people. Every time I've gone there they've messed up on my order. The first time I went there I asked for dark meat they gave me breast meat and some wings.. Uh no.. I returned it and asked for the right pieces I got a look from the worker like I was crazy. The second time it happened again! I again got the crazy look and the worker said with an attitude were not allowed to take those back I left it sitting there til he gave me the right pieces. Is the job that hard though? The third time which happened to be tonight all I asked for was a simple 8 piece meal with dark meat the girl at the speaker box made it sound like it was the most difficult order she'd ever heard. We got it figured out eventually, I also ordered a gallon of their sweet tea because I love their tea the girl at the window told me to wait in front for someone to drop it off to me. I waited for 10 minutes no one ever came I finally go in give me receipt to the worker and he had to ask me twice if I wanted sweet tea I said YES SWEET TEA. There are no labels on the gallon so I go home with it trusting that he knew he got it right.. NOPE! I got unsweetened tea like I DIDNT ask for.. I just don't get it they've been at that location for quite some time and they just can't get it right. I used to be the GM for a KFC so I know how this business works, their jobs aren't that hard. It's just too bad that their service sucks because I love Popeyes but I'll never come back here after 3 times of messing up.

I have gone here quite a bit since it opened a few years ago. The last 3 time I have gone to this restaurant (in November), the chicken is old, overcooked, dry and grey with this white pussy crud in it. I am very disappointed in the quality lately, and do not think it is worth another chance. The employees are great but they need to cook smaller batches so it is not several hours old when you get it. Save you money and go where your chicken has not been sitting until it becomes green grey jerky. I do not know if they have a new cook but this is only a recent thing with them as in the past it was a 4+ star. I hope they can turn it around 15 bucks for garbage, even our dogs horked it up.... I called and they said they would replace the food with fresh, I will keep you posted on the results....

Drive through can be quite slow. You have to ask for dipping sauces, jelly or they won't just give it to you.

I'm not a fan of fried chicken so I'm probably not the best person to be writing this review. I went to Popeyes for the first time with a group of friends and they were all shocked that I had never tried it. I ordered the 2PC set with a side of cajun fries. I chose the spicy seasoning but it wasn't spicy at all and just felt overall very greasy. The Cajun fries also weren't very good and I couldn't taste much Cajun flavoring nor potatoes.

When I learned recently that this place was ensconced deep in the SW, I was immediately about 35% more jazzed about working way out in the vicinity. But why not 5 stars, if you and your colleagues are so thrilled, you may ask? 'cos it's not the Popeye's on MLK and Ainsworth.... ask any locals, they'll tell you, that one is just BETTER. Few can coherently articulate WHY it's better, but hey, 10,000 silly No Po Hos----they KNOWS! ;p

My husband and I stopped here for something different than our norm. We ordered two #5 meals (popcorn shrimp). We paid, were handed our drinks and were asked to "pull around the front" and they'd bring our order out. There was no one else in line to need this. We waited about 15 minutes (enough time for my husband to chat up some guy about an old car he had). We drove to a park to eat, only to discover that we got one popcorn shrimp, one chicken something each with a biscuit and mashed potatoes. No butter, no utensils.... So we drove home. And then found a hair in my potatoes. This will be my first & last experience with Popeyes.

I had such high hopes going in for a meal. I did the number 2 meal, two pieces of chicken and a side and drink. While I know I got enough calories, for $7.15, I didn't feel full and wasn't really satisfied. The chicken was pretty good (but the breast was bit small and looked like it was missing the tender from it) (I know it couldn't due to anatomy). The mashed potatoes and gravy, well, that was almost yucky. The sweet tea was good. The bisquit was small and ho hum. So to sum up, yes, the chicken was better that most KFC's, but it seemed pricy and not totally satisfying. Observing some of the other patrons, yes, you have to ask for dipping sauces. Really, that should come without being asked. When I went, it seemed like they got lost in the kitchen area for a bit and it took longer than expected inside. The drivethrough seemed to be humming along. Well, I can say I've tried Popeyes now. Doubt I'll be back though. Didn't hit the value proposition for me.

okay I have a friend who loves Popeyes...... I have only ever experienced the ones in N.Portland. I would be driving around with her and she would stop here. First I am not pleased that they no longer carry the catfish po'boys.... so I asked if they could still make one.... the woman rudely said no, so I asked if I could get the catfish basket and then get a po'boy roll....she again rudely said no...... then..... I suggested that I buy a catfish basket and a chicken po'boy minus the chicken..... at this point the woman is just being a bitch and said no she would not do that. REALLY???? I was willing to pay for a sandwich minus the meat so I could play Dr. Frankenstein and assemble my own catfish po'boy. (You know minus the lightning and the angry villagers coming after me...... with pitchforks and torches) This made me mad so I left. The fact that she refused to sell me food so I could make what they had once...was just ridiculous. So I did not come here for a long time, then my friend and I were out driving around and she suggested she run thru to grab her and her hubby dinner, I decided fine I will try somehting there.... as I am not a fan of their chicken, their biscuits to me are way to greasy, the red beans and rice is more like soup.... but I would see what Po'boys they had...... so I order the shrimp po;boy and yea the shrimp was over cooked and like little rocks. Almost like it had been re-fried or forgotten under the heat lamp. ugh so fast forwarding my friend convinced me to give them one more try...... again shrimp Po'boy...... this one was good.... faith restored. so I stop by here every now and then but have questions when I do if I am actually going to get a good one or a bad one.... since it is now 50/50 chance of it being good or not. It got two stars just due to when it is good it is really, really good but when it is bad, it is really, really bad.

This is unfortunately the closest Popeyes to my house. Not as generous as the other locations (the two on MLK). A lot of the time the strips here are extremely small--and they're definitely not cheap. The most annoying thing though is the sauces! It almost seems like company policy to be stingy with the sauces (they only give one-- or two if you're lucky) per large meal unless you specifically ask for more. I guess I usually forget to ask for more but most places are more realistic and I love my spicy sauces! I guess I just expect more from a fast food place that costs as much as the average casual dining restaurant.

This has got to be the cleanest Popeye's I've ever been to. Minus one star for receiving a wrong order. Twice but they've always been nice to admit their mistakes and give my correct chicken and side orders. The chicken is always served hot, crispy and juicy. The biscuits are warm and will perfectly melt the butter. Add a drizzle of honey and you're in heaven. Zun: I would recommend Costco chicken instead of Albertson's. Alberston's is nasty.

A wise man that I used to work with was my guru on all things in southern food. He told me that the further from the gulf you got the nastier Popeye's got. I have tried it in SoCal and it was nasty and the restaurant was nastier. But little voices have been telling to come here and try it, so we did. My! Good eats! The breading and the chicken is not greasy, though I thought it overpowered the chicken a little. Think KFC extra crispy. I got the mild and added the Louisiana sauce--Tabasco--myself. Good, but for me not worth a drive to this location. Winco's fried chicken is the one to beat in my book right now in the cheap category. I got the shrimp tackle box, which is the same breading on smallish shrimps with a breaded french fry thing happening. I bet those fries were tasty right out of the fryer, but the shrimp was forgettable. The biscuits looked much better than they tasted--again, not bad, just not earth shaking. Now the mashed potatoes & gravy and the cole slaw? Well, the mashers were no big deal, but that gravy? Oh, damn, that is very, very good! The cole slaw looks KFCish but it and the gravy made me instantly think of eating on a screened in porch with a glass of sweet tea on a lazy warm evening down south. Those two dishes are worth the drive! I will figure out what little something that they each contain--a flavor I can't quite place that is unique and wonderful! The restaurant was spotless and sort of upscale for a Popeye's, I'll bet. Great service--the order taker told me how to maximize my order to get the most for the buck. Service on a busy night was very good, order was spot on and they loaded me down on condiments which always makes me smile. I'll be back.

I really like Popeyes fried chicken every once in a while. It is always consistently good, and the biscuits are amazing when eaten fresh and hot. My problem with this particular location is that too often they make mistakes on my order. Two out of my last 4 orders placed through the drive through were wrong. Like when I asked for MILD chicken nuggets for my kids and they gave me spicy. Or when I asked for three orders of dark two-piece meals and they gave me one that was white meat. That kind of thing. I just don't understand why they can't get it right.

I was so glad to move back to Oregon, but very sad not to be near a Chick fil A anymore. I'd never been to Popeye's, but they claim to be so fantastic, I was hoping it would cure my cravings for awesome chicken. It didn't. It was alright, but nothing special. I was excited about the low prices, but I don't think I'll be back, unless I REALLLLY need some chicken.

First time here ordered 8 piece family with mac & cheese with potatoes with gravy. It's the best fried chicken I have had in along time.. Not greasy and ALL perfectly seasoned. Thank you we will be back!

It probably took about 15 minutes between me waiting on line to actually getting my food. The cashier seemed to be doing a lot so I understood it, but it just tells me that the place is a little understaffed. Food was great though, as it always is at Popeyes.

I went in to order food for my family. When I got to the window the lady at the window was extremely rude and tried to rush me through the ordering process. They made me as well as five other customers pull around into their parking lot while we had to wait for food to be cooked when I finally got my food home the order was not only wrong but there were items missing. I came back that night to try to get the items replaced but again the manager on duty a lady was very very rude and unqualified of I decided that I would wait until the next day to file my complaint until I saw a toll free number on their window were you could call and give them feedback on your experience at their corporate office. Was that a mistake when I called in to their corporate office their employees at the store level retaliated against me and my family by leaving a horrible review about my personal business on line. I couldn't believe this happened I contacted their corporate office to let them know what had happened and they didn't really seem to care. I ended up losing business because of this review that was finally removed. I talked to the owner of this Popeyes franchise and he is well didn't really care and said there was no proof that it was one of their employees I have the IP address of where the review came from and the review comes from them. I will never go to a Popeye's restaurant again in my life and I recommend that everyone that reads this does the same. If you happen to be going through the drive thru in your company vehicle just keep in mind that their employees may retaliate against your business if you leave a bad review for them or call their corporate office. I can't believe the day in age we live in but it's unfortunate. I would recommend that the attorney general get involved and close the Popeyes restaurants in the state of Oregon. Action needs to be taken swiftly because this is very harmful to future customers and their families.

America has a love affair with fried chicken. In the United States putting fried chicken on the menu or on your restaurant signage is almost guaranteed to attract attention. Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits is a chain that has very successfully tapped into America's love for the fried bird. In Popeye's case the fried chicken is served up Louisiana style. Admittedly I've never been to Louisiana and I know nothing about food service there. However, from visiting Popeye's I have learned that fried chicken plus a biscuit plus Southern sweet tea makes for a very tasty and fulfilling meal. In Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits case it also means a relatively inexpensive meal. For $5 you get two pieces of fried chicken, a biscuit, and a choice of a side dish. Your side dish choices include things like coleslaw, Cajun french fries, and rice and beans. If you opt for a combo then your meal includes a drink. In most cases it's probably more economical to make your meal a combo rather than going a la carte. What's so special about Popeye's fried chicken? Well, it's crispy and it's not at all greasy. If you like your fried chicken crispy then Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits is definitely for you. Besides fried chicken Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits also serves things like Po'Boys, wraps, and chicken nuggets. This Beaverton Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits is sparkling clean and brightly decorated. This is fast food so the employee's brains and bodies are going at the speed of light. However, service here is courteous and helpful. My prediction is that Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits will give the other fried chicken chain a run for their money. Look out Colonel! There's some formidable competition on your right wing!

When I need a fried chicken fix, Popeye's is my first choice. This is a good one. Clean, with servers who can hold an intelligent conversation, I would go here again. The chicken is pretty good as well.

This is less of a review and more of a recommend! Need a bite of something spicy, crispy, hot, cool, slighty chewy, and very tasty. Get the Po' Boy! But wait.....you need a quick addition to bring it to greatness or at the minimum really goodness. Add your side of Slaw to the actual sandwich and atleast one packet of hot sauce. Give it a good smash so you can one hand this bad boy and you are good to go. I am telling you this is where it's at! Popeye's never disappoints of course expectations are inline with that of anything from a drive-thru. Great fried chicken, Great Biscuits, beans and rice, eh...for eating on the run and under 10 bucks you can't beat it.

Clean and sparkly location with quick and polite staff. The spicy chicken was nice and the Mac and cheese was full of gooey goodness. I had a major Mac and Cheese craving that's why we went here. It was pretty crowded for dinner, a couple of families and a couple of teens. I was burnt out and didn't feel like cooking or spending too much money. The food was fresh, hot and satisfying. Cal-o-rific.

Over priced. Because of the location they feel the need to charge a tad more than other Popeye's. Also upcharge for substitutions. The food the service the cleanliness is the same as any other so is it just cause' Nike is right there?

I had never been to Popeye's Chicken before, but people kept telling me to go and I have to say I wasn't disappointed at all. The chicken was good, but those potatoes... MMMMMM, I could have sat there all day and just ate those! The prices were good, the place was clean. I do have to say if you like fried chicken try Popeye's, but don't forget to order that side of Potatoes.

I love their spicy 3 piece chicken meal for lunch. It's a quick and delicious mid-day meal that gets me ready for the rest of the day. The hard part is picking one of their 7 sides, but I usually go with the cole slaw.

The week this location opened (Nov 16th, 2006) this place was a BIG mess. people lining up for chicken like no other! a week rolls by and business has slowed (which i like). Going to the Beaverton Popeye's had to be one of the worst fast food experiences I've ever had. I ordered a 9 piece chicken nugget meal and i was greatly disappointed with the cold, measly sized balls of chicken. My friends got combo meals and the workers gave the wrong number of tender's and were very hesitant to fix the order. In fact, they claimed my friend was lying and the cashier asked him to pay the difference of the "correct" combo. We got dirty looks and dirty food. I will never go to this location again, I'd highly recommend going to any of the other restaurants near it

This review is biased and based on ONE visit, so keep that in mind. They don't devein their shrimp! EWWWWW. Got the shrimp po-boy and made it 3 bites in before I realized there was a lot of grit in my mouth. Took a look and sure enough, shrimp poo. Seriously gross. The service wasn't bad, but I really just can't get over throwing a whole sandwich away because of lame corner cutting. I will not be going back for that. or the instant mashed pototoes.

Food. Good. Chicken. Great. Boneless. Amazing. Sides. Good. Popeye would be proud. Eat.
(5)Melanie B.

(2)Andy K.
One of the worst Popeyes chicken ever.. I ordered a 2 piece meal.. What I got was an over freid chicken with bones and pretty much not much meat..

okay I have a friend who loves Popeyes......

Loves: (and worth the taste) Chicken Biscuits Likes: (will get as my side Mac and Cheese Can live with out: Cajun Gravy (dont care for the flavor) Coldslaw (lacks flavor)
(5)Anna B.
i love me some friiiiiied chicken!
(4)Jamie C.
(3)Teaira B.
Very friendly service! And when I'm lying on my death bed and they ask me if I have any final requests... I'm going to ask for these biscuits.
(5)Duntrey T.
The service was ok at best... What really threw me off was, the chicken was super dry and super greasy. The kids meal was supposed to come with a toy but they failed to include it... C'MON SON!!
(2)MaryBeth D.
Simply the best chicken, red beans with rice, cajun mashed Taters and buttery biscuits. Always clean inside with very helpful staff, we love it here.
(5)Ron T.
(4)Michael M.
I'd never been to a Popeye's, so I had to try it...and I like it. Their chicken is very good, and not greasy like KFC's. I definately recommend it.
(4)Bob M.
(3)Elizabeth F.
(3)Mish M.
(2)Lynn A.
First time here ordered 8 piece family with mac & cheese with potatoes with gravy. It's the best fried chicken I have had in along time.. Not greasy and ALL perfectly seasoned. Thank you we will be back!
(5)Angela A.
It probably took about 15 minutes between me waiting on line to actually getting my food. The cashier seemed to be doing a lot so I understood it, but it just tells me that the place is a little understaffed. Food was great though, as it always is at Popeyes.
(3)Aaron S.

(4)David C.
When I need a fried chicken fix, Popeye's is my first choice. This is a good one. Clean, with servers who can hold an intelligent conversation, I would go here again. The chicken is pretty good as well.
(4)Johnny C.
The chicken is greasy and the corn on the cob is the worst. One of the worst Popeyes I have been to.
(2)Mathew P.
(3)Tiffany T.
(4)Joseph J.
Over priced. Because of the location they feel the need to charge a tad more than other Popeye's. Also upcharge for substitutions. The food the service the cleanliness is the same as any other so is it just cause' Nike is right there?
(2)Todd C.
(4)John L.
I love their spicy 3 piece chicken meal for lunch. It's a quick and delicious mid-day meal that gets me ready for the rest of the day. The hard part is picking one of their 7 sides, but I usually go with the cole slaw.
(5)chelley L.
The week this location opened (Nov 16th, 2006) this place was a BIG mess. people lining up for chicken like no other! a week rolls by and business has slowed (which i like). I give this location 4 stars because they are open until 1AM! downside: jambalaya comes as a meal, not a side order. boo! oh well, gotta love that chicken!
(4)McKenzie L.
I will never go to this location again, I'd highly recommend going to any of the other restaurants near it
(1)Rachael S.
