Hide-A-Way Bar & Grille Menu

Spent one visit there with some friends when we wanted to try something different from our ordinary hangout after basketball. Found that the food is phenominal for the price and then some but the location and feel of the environment leaves much to be desired. I think it was a mobile home that had been added onto. They offered quaint seating with a pool table in the back and outside seating for the warm nights. Overall, I was happy with it because food is more important to me than the environment itself.

went here last night, extremely friendly bartender! the bartender made a good manhatten for never having made one before lol, not a huge selection of beer but I am a beer snob, the LSD beer they had was really good, I was pleasantly surprised.

We went here when one day we went to the Underground and all of their pool tables were filled and we didn't have time to go to Hot Shots and I really didn't want to try to brave Aloha Station. So, while they only have one pool table, it's pretty nice - although I'm not quite sure if it's level because hubby kept complaining that it wasn't. The felt is a tan color and they don't want any other color of chalk used on it. Can't really say I blame them. We didn't have any food there, so I can't comment on that. However, the servers/bartenders were very nice and kept coming up to see if we needed our drinks refreshed, which was cool. I don't know, because I've never been in there before, but I guess the interior was not great (I'm being 'nice' here). So, we were told about all the improvements that were made, including ownership change (if I remember correctly). When you walk in, the diners are seated on the main 'level'. Past the tables is the bar seating. To get to the pool table, the bathrooms, and the video poker games, there's a ramp going up. Not a very steep one, either. The Hideaway's square footage is somewhat small, as well as the area where the pool table's located. Of course, if someone needs to use the restroom and you're playing pool, you have to move out of the way, otherwise they can't get by - especially the men. The parking is crowded (I think 8-10 spaces), and not much room to maneuver. However, they were kind enough to post a big sign in the lot warning you not to park in a nearby business's lot, otherwise you'd be towed. I'm sure, though, there is other parking somewhat close by. What you won't find there are a bunch of rowdies and that rap crap! I think it's geared more towards the 'older', more mellow crowd. Overall, fairly decent, I'd say. When we go back, we'll order food and I'll post an update.

Best burger I've had in years. Homemade chips & fries -delish. Gotta love a good, sassy bartender. The locals made us feel right at home. Looking forward to trying breakfast there sometime. The drinks had great flavor, just wish they had a bit more alcohol in them. Great place & we'll be returning.

I kinda wish this bar was closer because it would definitely be on my regular "rotation" of local dive bars to hand out in and relax. The hubs and I have been here twice and both bar tenders we encountered were very friendly, but not too intrusive. It seems to be a revolving door of regulars however they never made us feel like we were "invading their space". They have lottery, a pool table, and darts if your are so inclined or hang out on the patio and enjoy the weather. We have not gotten the chance to eat here however rumor has it that the food is out of this world - I may need to come back just to check it out. Solid 3.5 (would bump to 4 if the food was good).

Came here with a co-worker. Good beer on tap, friendly service. Smelled of delicious ribs cookin'.....and I don't prefer ribs. Fun little dive. A great stop in Aloha.

Have been there twice before and not bad food and a great waitress. Walked in tonight to blaring music that was way to loud. I asked our waiter before ordering if the music could be turned down and his reply was its not loud. His appearance and attitude made us leave. Buddies sports bar was the winner they got our business as well as tip

I recently had some bar food at a "sports bar and grill" place that some friends raved about. They must have been drinking a lot the night they ate here because eating at that place only made me realize how spoiled the Hideaway has made me in terms of what bar food should be. I can't even really categorize the food at Hideaway as bar food per se. A lot of the food is made by scratch. The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is consistently delicious. This is not your usual bar food establishment. Like for reals.

Here again, slow for a Monday. But it isn't like anywhere else is hopping. Drinks are good and we'll poured. If your new to town, this is the spot.

Don't let the prev reviews fool you. Food is very greasy and management is rude. Eat at your own risk

Love this place! The pulled pork for $5 happy hour will NEVER fail. They close early because they don't want to be labeled a "bar" strictly. Their weekend breakfasts are insane! Super huge omelets! The corned beef sauerkraut omelet is the best! Sounds strange but what a way to start the day. Bloody marys have lots of horseradish which would be nice to know up front but still tasty. Bar keeps are attentive and fun!

Finally stopped in last night, for the first time (I drive past daily) and was pleasantly surprised! It really is bigger inside than it appeared from the street. We had dinner - I had the spaghetti as it's the Monday night special, even though I was wary as that's not normal "bar" fare....but it was delicious. Nice hearty meat sauce over angel hair, with the best garlic bread ever on the side (I love me some garlic bread). I couldn't finish the whole thing, so for $6.00 (special price) I was quite happy. They have nightly specials, Taco Tuesday etc., that are really quite affordable. The bf had a bacon cheeseburger and fries that he said was very good - the fries are hand-cut, greasy and salty the way they should be. I tried a couple and would definitely get them again. The bad? Well, there's a big screen over the bar (and one in the back, I think), and it was turned up pretty loud so everyone was basically yelling over it. When we left, I sat in the car for a minute just to savor the peace. Seriously. So, a little loud for just eating dinner but if I'd had a few (more) drinks I probably wouldn't have cared. The place is clean, service is attentive and friendly. Also, the bar has a little ledgy- thing around the edge, so the bar surface is lower than the lip of the ledge...? Like most bars, but anyway.....so for dinner, they bring out a little wooden table that sits on the bar in front of you and brings the level up to the level of the lip of the ledge. I'm not explaining this well, but trust me it was cool. I had never seen that before. All in all, quite pleased and will definitely go back!

Used to be a consistent regular here until just last summer. I was back in here after a 8 month hiatus of the place and the same bartender still working there. She of course remembered me and we talked. Had lunch here. I love that they give you a little tray thing that makes the counter even so that you aren't bending down over to eat your food. I hate that about most bars, it's awkward to eat at the bar with that big cushiony thing there that people lean against. The food is ok.. typical bar fare, love the set up of the place. It has the video poker here and it's really a great place to just go for drinks. As always.. sit at the bar!

The Hide-A-Way is a quaint, quiet little bar on the Westbound direction of TV Highway near the corner of 185th. Jonna B. and I stopped in for Saturday evening happy hour. Good beer prices, but for some reason Wine is not discounted during happy hour. The happy hour menu selection is extensive. We each had the happy hour 6 oz. Sirloin for $6. It's served with large chunks of Zucchini and your choice of potato. The baked potato comes with butter and sour cream. A real bargain, but just A-OK. I wasn't a fan of the Zucchini. We also tried the Clam Chowder, which is $2 a cup during happy hour. It had lots of clams, but it was on the thin side, not very creamy and lacked complexity. The interior felt a little cramped as several tables are tightly arranged in front of the bar. The wooden tables and chairs have a country feel to them, like something you would find in your Grandmother's breakfast nook. A large flat screen TV hangs behind the bar providing every stool with a good view of the game. There are a few lotto machines and a single pool table in the back near the restrooms. The parking lot is tiny, but street parking is adjacent to the rear entrance and in the evenings after 7 p.m., patrons are allowed to use the Ace Hardware parking lot. It's not a late night spot, Monday through Thursday they close prior to Midnight. All in all, it's not a bad place, but most likely you'll find me hiding out somewhere else.

HIdeaway is sort of like the date that you don't want to be seen with but will do in a pinch. It's a Tavern really, but it's a decent Tavern. When Jason is cooking, (call and ask first if he is in the Kitchen), the steaks here are as good as you will get anywhere. And, since he will cut them to the size you want, you can satisfy your beef fix when you need it. Drinks are strong, the house smoked meats are also great and other than random loud sing a longs from the regulars, it's not a bad place to unwind when commuting towards Hills.

Since the remodel this place is very good & clean. Friendly bartender & cook. Large portions, cold beer. (dead guy on tap). Next I'll try their breakfast or their house smoke pork chops.

Stopped in one day when I decided "OMG I MUST GO SOMEWHERE NEW RIGHT NOW!!!1111one" for dinner with the boy. There are a couple (or was it one? I dunno) pool tables in the back and some game machines. The bar was pretty well stocked. The bartender made me a "Rum..............coke!" Cap't/Coke which is always appreciated, and was cute to boot ;) I had a BBQ pork sandwich that was tasty, and the boy had fish and chips, which he said were not bad. I would have tasted them but fish makes me sick so I passed. It wasn't a bad place. We went in the middle of the week though, so it was pretty chill. I have no idea how it is on weekends.
