Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

The chicken enchilada mole is addictive. I get it every time I can't break away. Homestyle atmosphere, good chips and fresh made salsa. My dining companion is addicted to their green sauce and it is tangy good. It is the best Mexican cuisine Bandon has seen in years. I hope they make a go of it. It is busy both at lunch (they have a daily lunch special) and at dinner where the margaritas flow. Have not been disappointed yet. Yes of course the service is slower.....it's Bandon by the Sea! Enjoy the pace.

The service was terrible! Waitress brought water glasses with ice and a pitcher of water, a basket of chips and salsa, but no napkins or silverware. She said she would be right back to take our drink orders. Finally she came back and we asked if we could order our food along with our drinks. She finally brought napkins and silverware and put on edge of table . When our food finally came there was no rice on our plates but only two helpings of beans. When I asked where the rice was, the waiter said they ran out. One person asked if she could have something else so Waitress brought her a salad with no dressing. . Could not get waiter's attention. Grrr Finally when we were done and getting ready to leave I noticed a patron who came in after us and ordered after us, had rice on their plates. What's up with that? Oh, did i mention the service was terrible? I wouldn't have written a review on this restaurant except that we went to this restaurant a month ago and had a similar experience. That time they had run out of ice tea - at noontime! Service was slow then, too. I figured the first time was a fluke - we always give second chances on restaurants.

Good, solid mexican food. The service was a bit slow, but they were quite busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful! If you're driving along the coast and get a hankering for some mexican, stop in here!

I grew up in Los Angeles and lived there for 20 something years. That being said, I find Rancho Viejo's cuisine to be as authentic as many of the establishments down there. I now reside in Bandon and have eaten here many times. Some visits the service was slower than others but the waitstaff has always been attentive, courteous, and appreciative of your patronage. On the occasions when I call in an order to pick up the food is usually ready sooner than the estimated time.

Food was very good and authentic. I had the Pork Enchilada it was served on a hot plate with beans and rice. My girlfriend had the Chicken Enchilada both of them were great. We come from southern California. Will eat here again good job bringing some great Mexican food to Bandon.

Authentic Mexican Food. Tasted great. Hope we come back this way again. Enjoyed my Super Burrito very much and was just as good when I ate my leftovers for lunch the next day.

Three stars only because the service sucked and was slow! The food on the other hand was great. 6 in our party with 3 kids and everyone's food was spot on! The Chilli Relleno was very good. I ordered the Fajita burrito and it was huge and very good! The super burrito and the spinach enchiladas were also very yummy and would order again! Except for the service this was a great dinner!
