I stopped upon this place while walking through "downtown" Astoria. I found they SUPER inexpensive bakery items. It's homemade and has an old time feel. LOVE their apple turnovers. Yum yum. I'm not sure that they accept credit card, especially because everything is so inexpensive, so bring cash just in case.

This is strictly for the cake I ordered- chocolate with a buttercream filling. The crumb on the cake was dry and crumbly. Like it was baked and sat out to dry all day. It certainly wasn't moist. The buttercream " filling" wasn't even a pencil mark wide so it had no flavor. This was a sheet cake, however, that shouldn't have mattered. And the cake was lop- sided, one inch on one side, two on the other. This isn't the Home Bakery I remember when my kids were little. I was very disappointed. Although our granddaughter enjoyed her birthday cake.. Smashing the cake and mixing ice cream in it while singing " Happy Birthday".

This is the best bakery that you will find in Astoria Oregon they have giant cream puffs and donuts. They also have pies, muffins, cookies and other sweet treats. The owners are friendly and they will treat you like family.

Every time I visit relatives in Warrenton, I try and visit the bakery. It is worth the 10 mile drive for the goods. The danish are true danish and not just the stuff passed off in grocery stores. The breads are also excellent, as are the cookies. If i have any complaint, the doughnuts are a bit week. The place is very casual and the service is courteous and prompt. The prices are excellent given the quality of the food.

Awesome cinnamon toast and for cheap! They've been doing it since 1910 so they can't be wrong! It's amazing how they can still sell them for so cheap! In fact, everything in this bakery is cheap and very delicious. We only tried a few other things that I couldn't remember. It was later in the day and a lot of the goods were already sold out. But they were delicious! We munched on the cinnamon toast all the way back to Forest Grove. If you visit their website, you can order the cinnamon toast and get it shipped to you for free! Yay! It's easy to find right on Marine Dr. You can just pull over and run in. Check this place out if you're in town. You won't regret it!

Great service and amazingly accommodating!! After having a bad experience trying to order a cake at Danish Maid I called Home Bakery. He was so friendly and helpful. My request was not something he could handle, but the way he explained it and offered some very workable solutions, I felt like a very valued customer. This is my first choice in bakeries from now on!!

I stopped in for a cheap treat and found a 95 cent plum turnover. They have cookies, pastries, and lots of bread choices for really reasonable prices. The turnover was good and so was the service. This place is located east of town.

Cinnamon Toast is terrific, also pick up some Skipanon Brand canned tuna and salmon, here. Nice people, home town standard.

A good little find for cheap and good baked goods. Cookies were 30 cents a piece. Worth the stop if you're traveling through on 30, heck it's even worth going out of your way. Think of all the money you'll save on 30 cent cookies.

Sugar frosted goodies galore, and some bread, plus coffee and tea. The clientele made the place, with stories of someone's new lover who gave him wedgies every night. Everyone in the place listened to the story, laughed, then everyone gave us advice on what to see in town. A smalltown original spot.
