So much bread and baked goods that you may just catch a yeast infection!! This is a bakery outlet shop that stocks mostly bread and baked goods that have the Franz label, but they also had a few Hostess products here and there, along with a hodgepodge of jams, condiments, soup starters, seasonings, and spices. Some pretty unique flavours of bread are to be found. I wasn't brave enough to try the Fruit Smoothie Bread, but it did look intriguing. My blood sugars are challenged enough as it is.....maybe one day. I suppose the prices were fair for what the offer considering the retail price for Franz products, but I was expecting a deeper discount for this being an outlet. I recall the days of the Wonder Bread outlets where one could fill a pantry for a wee bit of cash. Most loaves of bread were in the $2 range here. Maybe I am just a cheap bastard, but I wasn't that dazzled by the prices. The sign out front states they have gluten free bread for $4.99 per loaf. I don't know if that is great or not really. I don't know any silly yaks, or anyone with one, but I do know that people lament how darn expensive the specialty breads can be....so if this is your kink, be sure to check it out. I, on the other hand like my gluten, in fact I'll take seconds if you please.....(wink) I did quite like the Franz Hawaiian Bread loaf that I picked up. Not as sicky sweet as the the King's Hawaiian brand. Great for toast in the morn with tea. They did have a nice rack (settle down boyo!!) of must sell now stuff, but none of it tweaked my interest, so maybe you will find some treasures. I will give this place a few chances and visits and see if overall, it is a good place to shop.
