Very good dinner! We'll go again to be sure. Suggest no-tip expectation with no-waiter model.

Such high hopes for this well reviewed Asian style place. It is self serve and not cozy. Prices/portions are high/low. And what kind of restaurant ASKS for a tip when you order your food? AND it is self serve! I guess they get the tip because people are intimidated with the software demand. Food is ok, but not exceptional. Not a lot of flavor. Very disappointing.

Stopped at Tot's for a late lunch with my girlfriends. We ordered. Thai beef salad, red chicken curry, squash dumpling soup, vegetable salad, and of course tots. The dishes were very unique and flavorful. The red curry was slightly on the spicy side but very delicious. Water was flavored with cucumber and lemon grass it tasted very fresh. The service was excellent. We asked for several share bowls and share plates and the waitress couldn't of been more pleasant. Next time I come to Ashland it will be my go to restaurant. Note, this is a casual order at the counter restaurant. But very pleasant.

Fresh interesting ingredients! Glad to finally have a Vietnamese etc...spot like this in Southern Oregon. Cute space. Friendly staff.

Been there a handful of times. It's a unique atmosphere. The food is fresh and flavorful. Wait time is minimal so it is a good choice for your lunch break. I love their tots and spring rolls, can't make a visit without indulging and getting one of those apps. I do enjoy their sandwiches and their veggie noodle bowl.

We were driving around aimlessly searching for a lunch place and found Tot on Yelp. We had no expectations and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of food. I had braised chicken which was deliciously prepared with noodles, crunchy spinach, marinated and subtle onions, other seasonings and lime. Heavenly. My wife had a small salad that was huge and very tasty. Her roast beef sandwich was on fresh bread and everything else was fresh, too. We'll be back !

Personally, I think that Tot is one of the better restaurants in Ashland. It's decently healthy and super fresh. Ambience is a little different...but simple and pleasant, nonetheless. And they have thai iced tea!! yummmyyyy

THis is a bright spot in Ashland. A tidy Viet menu and good execution and an interesting Sake list, as well. One quirk that's is odd - their payment system involves swiping a credit card which then confronts with three suggested tip amounts (and a "No Tip" option). Since this is a counter-order setup with table serving and one has not sampled either food or service at this early juncture, it seems off putting to be asked to select a tip amount. I choose to tap "no tip" and then use their tip jar AFTER my meal.

Tot is the best restaurant in ashland. If they did delivery I might never cook again.

SE Asian street food prepared with care and attention to detail. We enjoyed our pre-play dinner immensely. After visiting sister restaurant, Playwright-Public House last night, we wanted to try Tot. It might just rival some of our fave PDX spots (ie on SE Division) It was refreshing to find some comfort food in Ashland.

A FAVORITE!!! We frequent Tot for lunch. It's fresh, super yummy flavor combinations, and large portion sizes. The food comes out fairly quick after you order too. I like spicy food and have enjoyed Tot very much. They seem open to subbing the protein options too. Ooh, I'm getting hungry...

I don't really know where to start. The food was terrible, the service extremeley slow, and again, the food was just plain awful. Oh, dear Tot, how could I help you improve your restaurant? How about fixing the menu. Stop putting 50 items on your items and narrow it down to a select number that you actually know how to cook. As a note, if you're going to call your food Asian it helps to know what Asian food is. Tom Yum is always spicy, pho should be a staple of all Vietnamese food, and usually spring rolls are not ordered in only odd numbers. Just saying. I knew that Asian food in Ashland would be sucky but i didn't think it would extend to this lame excuse for Vietnamese.

Tot's food is always fresh and delicious. Most of their menu is gluten free, or can easily be made gluten free. This is by far my favorite restaurant in town for take out.

If there were a way to eat at Tot every day and still be able to fit into all my costumes, u would. This is hands-down, for location and price, the BEST FOOD in the downtown Ashland area. Fresh, fragrant, seasonal ingredients, Vietnamese-inspired cooking, with some really classy chefs (formerly of Amuse) doing their THANG in the kitchen. If you're in Ashland during lunch or dinner time, don't make reservations. Make your way over to TOT.

Interesting restaurant. We had a nice time here--the casual vibe is good and overall the food is tasty. Enjoyed the veggie noodles, tots, and spicy kale. The veggie noodles were light and tasty with julienned veggies--had a subtle but nice spice. Tots were tasty, and seemed homemade, with a great Korean-styled BBQ sauce. Kale was good, with massive spice. My only complaint is Tot is WAY overpriced for this type of restaurant: they are charging "sit down" prices for a place that expects you to order at the counter and then bus your own table. For this, I would expect about $2 or $3 less per entree...the apps were not off on price, but slightly small in size for the the price. Vegetarians BEWARE! While many dishes are marked vegetarian, many have fish sauce in them. On some, they will ask you if you want the fish sauce added, but on others, its already added to the base stock sauce, and therefore is not truly vegetarian. This is not a huge issue for me, but they should be very careful with how they mark the menu. We will comeback again...overall, a nice and enjoyable experience!

TOT is the bomb! Plain and simple! I don't know how I would survive in Ashland without this place. Their ever changing menu always has at least 2 things on it I crave, look forward to, will drive for miles to eat. TOT definitely has an urban feel, an aesthetic and cuisine that betrays a life outside of the Shire. This is a good thing! Is it authentic? I couldn't tell you, but the some of the smells bring me right back to the streets of Thailand. If you like it hot, just ask!

Came with two others and we all enjoyed our dishes: duck homemade egg noodles was good with no msg!!! :) the others ordered the curry dishes, one with lettuce wraps and the other with rice. We are all picky eaters so they satisfied our critique of the food. The only thing we all didn't like was the rice filled tots, just not use to that kind. Prices were decent as well. Ambiance was like a cafeteria but at least one doesn't have to tip :)

The atmosphere is cold and hard. Kind of like eating in a clean room or an OR. The goofy artsy decor is a turnoff personally, but some must like it. The food more than makes up for it however. I tried the tots with their sweet BBQ tamarind dipping sauce. I also had a Vietnamese French sandwich with pork. Both were quite good. The curry noodle soup was good. The Tom Yum soup was very non Thai traditional. It was full of kale, which my son thought was basically poisonous .( I liked it though) It's really not atmosphere appropriate as a dinner place for me, but I think it's fine for lunch.

We really enjoyed our meal here. Would definitely come back again. Kids enjoyed their bowl and Banh Mi sandwich and didn't complain about the spiciness. Pros: Great bread on the Banh Mi. Meat was very tasty. BBQ main bowl was good too. Good portions. Cons: A tad pricey. Invisible location. Limited menu. Pickles appeared to be fermented instead of marinated in authentic southeast Asian style. No Pho.

Aubrey F.
Eh it was ok. I probably won't go back. The egg rolls were too hard and the tots were too fried also. Just nothing really to rave about. The girl helping us was knowledgable and easy to order from. She knew what she was talking about. If you want a Pho or a curry maybe try somewhere else first.

On vacation and staying in town. Saw the reviews for it, read the menu online....thought we would give it a try. I get they are trying to be hip with the whole Vietnamese fusion but it was a miss for my kiddos. They were craving good ole fashion Vietnamese comfort food. My daughter wanted pho and was not a fan of the best substitute I could find for her. The flavors just were not working for her and my 5 year son who couldn't believe there was no soup in the pork noodle. Granted that was my mistake for not paying attention to the menu as it was listed under salads. While they didn't care for the food, I thought my summer chowder as well as my tomato/watermelon salad for me.

I come to this place often, it's great; the price point matches the quality of food and the amount served. Consistency is hard to achieve, yet Tot has done this. Keep it up guys!

The most authentic Asian food in the area; very skillfully prepared. The chef has a sensitive palate and many dishes are subtle in flavor. I've spent a lot of time in southeast Asia and this place is the only restaurant around that makes me nostalgic for that cuisine, because the flavors are true to spirit and everything used in preparation is fresh and top quality. My highest recommendation would be the curry noodle, pork noodle soup, beef brisket salad.

Not sure if it was what I ordered or if it was because I ordered it to go, but it just did not do it for me. I was in the mood for Asian food, so I suggested we try Tot instead of our usual Chinese food. I was pretty excited to try Tot due to the reviews on-line. I ordered the Brisket for myself, the grilled veggies for my wife and the Pho for my daughter with the intention that everyone could try each dish. For some reason I also thought the dinners came with veggie side dishes, like they serve at Korean restaurants, so I was looking forward to that as well. Tot is the old Chun's down off of A Street. The woman at the counter was very friendly. The food was waiting for me when I arrived. Got home and opened up the cartons. First thing I noticed was no side dishes. Either I was mistaken or they do not come with to go orders. Not a big deal. The Brisket was served with rice and some string beans. It was actually pretty tasty. Each piece had a fair amount of lard attached to it. Perhaps this is standard with Brisket? In any case, a decent amount of meat. Probably wouldn't order it again. The veggies were mostly eggplant and string beans covered in peanut sauce. My wife is the veggie eater and she was not very impressed. Not bad, but just not much there. The majority of the noodles for the Pho had broken up into smaller pieces for some reason and there was not much broth there. Perhaps the noodles had been sitting for too long and soaked up most of the broth which caused the noodles to break apart? No one in the family cared for the noodles. As a family, we eat a lot of Asian noodles - Udon, Soba, Ramen and even Pho. The biggest mark against Tot was probably the Pho. It just was not that good. As I mentioned, the Brisket was okay, however neither my wife nor my daughter said they would order the other dishes again. I thought the prices were a little on the high side for what you get. It wouldn't surprise me if it was better dining experience in the restaurant versus getting the food to go. I might give the sandwich a try. Probably a 2.5 star rating.

My wife & I decided ti give this newer place a try but were disappointed. The food was very average with not much taste and over-priced. In addition, there was zero atmosphere, the table was not stable and the server acted like she would rather be elsewhere. As the old saying goes, you only get one chance to make a good first impression. Don't think that we'll go back.

First time today for lunch. BBQ beef brisket with rice and beets. Meet was very tender and wonderful flavor. But not much when the fat was removed. Beets were very undercooked. Way overpriced for what was served.

This not an authentic Vietnamese restaurant. This is not authentic Vietnamese food. But it is really good, fresh, flavorful food that's based on Southeast Asian influences. I admit, we were underwhelmed with the banh mi and the tom yum the first time we were here, expecting authentic Vietnamese food. But a year(!) later, after a friend told us about the Friday pho special, we decided we had to make another visit just to try the pho, because we hadn't found good pho yet (or, really the pho we did find in Phoenix, OR suffered a sudden severe decline in quality). And, you know, it turned out Tot's pho wasn't bad. And we found we had a hankering for it the following Friday and went back. And again the Friday after that. And the Friday after that. For the last year or so, Tot's been a four-star restaurant, but since they updated their menu recently to include the duck noodles and the braised chicken dishes, Tot's become a sure five-star restaurant. I can rattle of a slew of dishes that I consider my favorites: the BBQ brisket, the duck noodle soup, the braised chicken, the pho dip banh mi, the marinated chicken banh mi (sadly no longer on the menu). Gone are the days when my kid could run around a mostly empty restaurant on a Friday night and not worry about bothering the other patrons, but we no longer have to go just on Fridays. The menu's improved that much. The other thing about this restaurant--and maybe we've never noticed this with other restaurants b/c we've never been regulars anywhere else--but the menu changes on a semi-regular basis. New items appear that seem delicious and are delicious, and when those new dishes become old--another set of new dishes appear. The owners' commitment to develop and try new dishes is commendable--admirable even. I hope they can keep up their commitment to making good food and designing dishes that, despite being inauthentically Vietnamese, still taste super yummy!

I've been going to Tot since it opened. The owner of one of Ashland's finest restaurants recommended it. It was love at first rib, and brisket, and phó. They make all of their sauces in house. They pickle their own veggies. The aesthetic is gorgeous, the owners are kind and considerate of their clientele and the food has only gotten better over time. If you're not having a lunch or dinner here you are really missing out.

The great taste of the melts-in-your-mouth brisket is only eclipsed by the enthusiasm of the counter service person! Honestly though, it was terrific. The sauce was rich over the rice, the cilantro fresh, the water was infused with a fresh lemon, and the dining areas were very sterile. I saw a negative review about this, but isn't cleanliness and good order part of the idea?! I love it. My vegetarian son found a healthy noodle bowl that also earned five stars from him, which is hard to get. Thanks Tot! Also; if you are into a fun and eclectic "Portlandian" dining experience, this will bring you as close as you can get in Ashland. Always something a bit unusual or unique about it. rs

My husband and I loved this cute little restaurant. It has a simple, urban, contemporary atmosphere and delicious Vietnamese food! The chicken banh mi was delicious, though I will tell them to hold the pate next time.

We come here quite often and love it every time. Lunch, dinner, even had them do some catering for an event. Awesome rice and noodle dishes, tasty bowls of pho, and great banh mi sandwiches in a relaxed environment with a unique decor of reclaimed objects and recycled woods. If you're in the mood for something different at a really good price, you gotta check out Tot.

Tot's a really good small Vietnamese-inspired restaurant off the beaten track, near the Ashland Food Co-Op. It's order-at-the-counter-we-bring-it-to-you-bus-your-Âown-please, so definitely on the casual side. Lots of concrete and exposed wood inside, with pachinko machines and other Asian-esque decorations. I like the spring rolls: dense pork filling and a crispy shell. For a main I usually choose these and some siu mai, or the char siu pork and rice bowl. Excellent thai iced tea or a bottled Coke. The staff is super nice and usually winds up bussing for us.

As it says it's an Asian Fusion restaurant so for what it is, I think it's pretty good. The Tri-tip rice dish is to die for! The banh mi is good but I prefer the authentic stuff. Owner is really nice too

Tot is one of the few spots in Ashland that gets it right. Their food is well balanced and made with love, and their service is fantastic. This is a rarity in this town. Their menu changes to incorporate seasonal ingredients and it's clear that they take deep pride in their work. There are a lot of places in town that serve decent food, but few spots have good service and even fewer have proprietors that so clearly love what they do and strive to make the dining experience a great one. Every time I come back to town I will always stop in at Tot. You should do the same.

This is one of our go to spots for lunch in Ashland. Great, fresh Vietnamese food, casual, kid friendly atmosphere, easy parking, nice, modern decor. Service isn't perfect (they forgot about our drinks today), but quality food makes it well worth the stop. Not super authentic or cheap, but the quality ingredients and overall freshness leave me happy every time.

Shockingly good food. I went in with low expectations and came out a rabid, frothing-at-the-mouth fan. What a gem in Ashland...the prices are great, the portion sizes surprising, and the food was far more delicious than I was prepared for. Honestly, I may start eating here everyday. Had the BBQ Brisket with chili sauce and thai iced coffee. I am craving their food right now. But I really want to wait until Friday for the Pho. Anyway, I can't praise this place enough. Please let it stick around forever and make living in Ashland a tastier experience. I'm a total fan now.

Delicious! We have been looking for a Vietnamese place locally. Haven't tried the pho yet, but will definitely be going back to try it. The spicy beef noodle salad is so good, you will have to hold yourself back from licking the bottom of the bowl (if you can polish off the generous portion). I also thoroughly enjoyed the red curry. Go. Like now.

Tot is a great restaurant. My family eats here A LOT. The food is super flavorful, healthy, fast and well priced. The menu is simple and changes periodically according to season for produce. Their soups are large and amazing and they even neatly split the soup and sandwich up that my sister and I were sharing without being asked (I love sharing meals and it's always a juggle to drag food from one plate to another.) Specials are always exciting and Pho is available every Friday til it runs out. Their Thai Iced tea tastes incredible - like TEA and is lightly sweet. Their meats are cooked to perfection, always tender. This is seriously good food at seriously decent prices. This is a good place for kids if your kids eat something besides pizza... Totally convenient and VERY clean. Parking is easy. Lunch, dinner and now beer and wine! Seems to be family run, a labor of love for the owners and you can tell. : )

I love this place. I was always so sad that there wasn't a good place to eat Pho in Ashland. Now you can get some pretty tasty Pho on Fridays. The other food on the menu is good too. The vibe of the place is very kicked back and it always smells amazing.

I'm a huge fan of this place. Some of the best food in Ashland! If you're gluten intolerant than this place is perfect. The food is so good! My favorite thing to order is the Spicy beef noodle salad. You can never go wrong with it.

Wanted to try this place and gave them a chance with carry out. Ordered some entrees (one being a soup) and an appetizer 90 min ahead, letting them know it was for a dinner party of 4. When picking up the food, was asked if I needed a bag. How else am I supposed to manage to carry all those boxes? Actually had to run to my car for a bag to take it in. Upon arriving home, I discover the cold items were mixed with the hot items including pickles, fragile components and fried foods. Also, the rice is tossed in with the gravy laden curry and other wet foods. How it is prepared for carry out makes no sense and did not help with serving and eating. This is something I would expect from a budget food place rather than an Asian restaurant that prides itself on quality and authenticity. Did I mention that no implements (chopsticks, forks) nor napkins were provided let alone offered? Perhaps dining in is better. Overall impression: overpriced for what was provided (total bill was over $60) and somewhat dissatisfied. Next time, if there is one, we will ask them to separate out wet/dry items or at least provide the rice on the side.

The Vietnamese food in the region has generally been quite awful here historically in my 15 years here. Tot is a breath of fresh air. Although it has its own Ashland twist which I think renders it as not very authentic, it is delicious. Never having been to Vietnam, I cannot comment authoritatively on all this, but I have eaten in many big city Vietnamese restaurants. Every Friday I start thinking about their pho and I usually cannot get past that in ordering. The pho has a rich and complicated flavor, with anise well-displayed without overwhelming. In addition to bean sprouts, basil and jalapenos on the side, there is also a small plate with chili paste and hoisin sauce to mix in. I recommend that, after tasting the broth by itself first. My family usually gets other dishes and they mostly been very good as well, particularly the beef salad. Atmosphere is a little odd, definitely not romantic in any conventional way. Set up has some indoor picnic tables outside the enclosed restaurant area (you'll have to see what I mean), and this can be god for younger kids. A little pricier than most non-fancy Vietnamese restaurants, but hey - its Ashland.

Meh. I treated my friend to a meal here hoping for the best after looking at the menu online & reading the reviews. I ordered the red curry with chicken & a side of tots with peanut sauce. The tots were crispy on the outside & soft inside but a bit bland. The peanut sauce was gritty & tasted nothing like peanuts. I'm a huge peanut sauce fan & I was disappointed. The curry was just okay. The sauce was thicker than the Thai curries I'm familiar with & there wasn't the usual explosion of flavors I expect from a curry sauce. Overall I was just not that impressed. I liked the decor and the ingredients are fresh but it's not something I will crave.

We really like this place. It's a favorite destination in our office and I have to have my pho soup at least one Friday each month. The curries are good (but not spicy at all, which is kind of a bad thing in my book) and the bahn mi sandwiches are really amazing. They use rice flour in the bread to give it a more authentic Vietnamese texture, and they make their own chili paste, and other parts. It's just so good that you'll have to go try it. Like, right now. Go. Get one. It's that good! The noodley bowls are also tasty treats and worth exploring. In short all I can say is that OMG I'm so happy that they came to town and opened this place. If the prices were a dollar or two lower I'd probably eat there twice a week. As it is, I think it's a decent value and more fulfilling than a trip down to Sammich or other lunch spot.

I have to be honest, there are quite a few dishes here that I don't care for. But the two that I love (the green curry beef and the red chicken curry) deserve a five star rating hands down, and are so deliciously addictive that Tot deserves five stars based on those two alone. Alas, due to their consistently overcooked veggies, too much bread on the sandwiches and a few other bland items that are not to my taste, I am giving them four stars. The restaurant is very simple and hip, lots of room and tables, and the prices are typical of Ashland (high). BUT you can definitely feed two people on one of their curry dishes, so that makes it more affordable.

When I went here, my boyfriend and I were the only ones there. The place has cool decor, but the room felt awkward because it was so empty and echo-y. We both ordered the grilled vegetables with peanut sauce. It was very tasty, but it could've had more vegetables for the price. Service was very friendly, especially for an order-at-the-counter place.
(3)
Cody F.
The rations are large, but sadly this is the only really good thing here. I'm really not trying to be rude, but it seemed more like they had all the ingredients in front of them, just no idea of how to use them properly. The flavors are largely imbalanced and the pickled vegetables rather disgusting. I've lived in Ashland for 5 years now and this place was a huge disappointment.

Armen S.
We went during a very slow dinnertime - there was only one other table occupied. We had four things - banh mi sandwich, BBQ brisket main, tom yum veggie soup, and an order of tots with peanut sauce. Service: Fine & friendly. Ambiance: Pretty stark. It's basically cafeteria style seating. Food: OK. The bahn mi seemed a bit dry, but the flavor was good. The BBQ brisket was good. The tom yum didn't have a lot of flavor, but that was probably because it was veggie broth. Maybe the fish broth is better. The side of tots was tasty, but it wasn't a very big portion. The web site is annoying, because it requires Flash. Hey, this is 2012! Lots of mobile devices don't support Flash. Don't you want people to look you up on their phone? I'd say this place was okay, and it's good that there's a Vietnamese choice in Ashland, but there are places I'd rather eat.

Tot continues to be awesome. Good prices and great food. Their specials are normally epic - give them a go. And they are serving beer now, too. And most recently they have outdoor seating. So pretty much you need to check this place out.

Jennifer B.
Waaaay overpriced for what you get. The industrial look is not very inviting. Yeah, it's a little bit more authentic, but not much. The food is decent, but not quite what I expected. I've heard the pho is good, but I haven't tried it. I think the price is the deal-breaker for me. I've never paid that much for Vietnamese food and got such a small portion. I'm also not a fan of busing my own table for how much I just paid for my meal.

Affordable, delicious food in a hip setting. This place is just what Ashland needs. We tried the Tom Yum, tots and meatball sandwich and they were all really yummy. We will be back over and over again!

Let me just reiterate, Tot is the BEST new restaurant in Ashland. Hands down. Tonight's dinner only went to win me over, yet *again* how ridiculously freaking amazing the food is here... I pretty much had to be rolled out on a cloud of ecstasy tonight because the food elicited such an intense state of narcotic bliss... I could barely walk afterwards, could almost only mutter nonsensical blissed out wimpering noises. Now, I understand why some people might give it less than 5 stars... It takes some time to explore the menu. I didn't fall out of my chair in ecstasy the first time I went here.. But I did the 2nd time, and definitely many times since... All I can say is, you have to explore the menu.. that requires many repeated visits. Sometimes the food knocks my socks off, sometimes not nearly as much. There are things that I love on the menu, and things that are good but not amazing. BUT the thing that I really love is that they are creating amazing & unique recipes, and they're using a lot of local / organic produce in their dishes. Best Pho in town. (only real / legitimate Pho in Ashland??) Their Pho Dip sandwich is over the top amazing. But my favorite thing has been the Curry Noodle Soup. But I just had their brand new Chicken Dumpling Soup tonight and it made beyond giddy. Anyway, I cannot say enough good things about this place. Please go and visit them and support them. This is a major jewel in Ashland, and the food is affordable too. Let's keep this place in business for a long time!!

The food here is really delicious as well as exotic. The curries are great and the Kale Salad. Outdoor seating is sweet but its really the food that makes this place a 5 star culinary delight!

This place is out of the way and less crowded than other Ashland restaurants. The food is great. My favorites are the red curry and the spicy beef noodle salad. I had a broccoli and tofu dish that was a bit too bland. Otherwise its all been great! Service could be better, but its fine.

Asian hipster cuisine, new-ish on the Ashland food scene - it's become our new go-to place for lunch and as an alternative to pizza on take out night. Ample parking, plenty o' seating, fast service and reasonably priced by Ashland standards. The food is wonderful - the tom yum soup with shrimp and the veggie banh mi are favourites. This is also works as a business lunch spot, since it's easy in / easy out - and easy on the expense account ;-)

Don't go in looking for a nice bowl of Vietnamese Pho on any day other than Friday. But despite the let down, the food we did have (grilled veggies over rice noodles, spicy beef noodle salad, and curried noodles) was delicious! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Coming in at 6pm, it was already full inside. We ate on the patio out front of the restaurant, but it kinda felt like we were eating in a hallway.

Delicious, inventive menu! Nice to see this option in Ashland. We are from Portland and wonder if the owners hail from pdx--this joint certainly seems inspired by some of the Asian fusion fare happening there. Try the Bahn Mi sammy or the wings.

I have been back to TOT several times since my initial visit, and now consider it to be a go to... I love the flavors of Vietnam and Southeast Asia, and this is a great spot to experience them. Lately I have greatly enjoyed the noodle salads and other dishes. The braised chicken with turmeric noodles and the spicy beef noodle bowl are both outstanding choices.

I was really excited to grab food here because my mom said it was super delicious and awesome! Unfortunately, the experience wasn't so spectacular. I was pretty disappointed, and so were my parents (who thought the food was a bit weak and that the cooking was clearly inconsistent). Pros: - Interesting, eclectic atmosphere - Varied menu and beverage choices - The man at the counter was awesome about making sure we knew what possible allergens or ingredients that we might not want (meat, dairy, etc.) were in each dish! - Moderate pricing Cons: - Many dishes were lacking in flavor compared to other places-- the Tom Yum, for instance, was nothing special, hardly spicy, and pretty much all broth. - The menu is apparently not set-in-stone and can change without much notice (my mom's favorite dish was not there). - The side dishes are hit-or-miss. The salads were fine, but the pickled veggies were not amazing for the $4 we paid for a small serving. Overall, not somewhere I'd go again. Not horrible by any means, but just "meh".

Came in on a Friday evening after a long drive from Salem. From their website, I got the impression that this place would be leaning toward "upscale," but was wrong in a good way. It was much more laid back, and a little hip. It is located in a building with other businesses, and has some tables outside the restaurant, but still inside. If we had seen this before we were leaving, we would have sat out there! It was a little quieter than inside. I had the Pho, which had all the fixings you could want, and had a few different cuts of meat. It was among the best Pho I've had! They apparently only serve it on Friday nights though. We also had some of the house tots with tamarind sauce. These are not your super greasy typical tater tots, and I'm not even sure they weren't baked rather than fried. They also had tasty seasoning, I'd recommend them! The service was very friendly, but it is an order-at-the-counter place, so by definition it's minimal. I enjoyed eating here and would recommend it!

Really fun place! I've only been once, so I can't say I know much about it. Really fun, cute dècor, funky & eclectic. We got the pork bănh mi. The bread is *perfect*, the pork is tender & well-trimmed. Lots of carrots & cilantro. However, most of the sandwich was missing the picked vegetable taste & fish sauce that is my favorite part of bănh mi. At the end I finally got a bit of that flavor. If they just pickled the veggies a bit longer or gave a side of fish sauce, this would be the perfect bănh mi. Next time I'm trying some soup! Great job, Tot!

Really great place if you're looking for a non-touristy, less crowded place in Ashland. The interior is super cool and the girl working there was very chatty and helpful. I had the Thai Iced Tea which was aamaaziing! For my main course I had the Summer Noodle, which would have been really good except they forgot to put tofu in mine (thus four not five stars). Still, I totally recommend this place for anyone going to Ashland!

What a disappointment. The food was awful and the staff was super unprofessional. Never going back.

Go. Like now.

Love this spot! Tasty and healthy. The menu is small but they constantly update and add items to keep regulars like me interested. The owner/operators are super friendly and offer great service.

I come to this place often, it's great; the price point matches the quality of food and the amount served. Consistency is hard to achieve, yet Tot has done this. Keep it up guys!

As it says it's an Asian Fusion restaurant so for what it is, I think it's pretty good. The Tri-tip rice dish is to die for! The banh mi is good but I prefer the authentic stuff. Owner is really nice too

I'm a huge fan of this place. Some of the best food in Ashland! If you're gluten intolerant than this place is perfect. The food is so good! My favorite thing to order is the Spicy beef noodle salad. You can never go wrong with it.

I come to this place often, it's great; the price point matches the quality of food and the amount served. Consistency is hard to achieve, yet Tot has done this. Keep it up guys!

Affordable, delicious food in a hip setting. This place is just what Ashland needs. We tried the Tom Yum, tots and meatball sandwich and they were all really yummy. We will be back over and over again!

Been there a handful of times. It's a unique atmosphere. The food is fresh and flavorful. Wait time is minimal so it is a good choice for your lunch break.

As it says it's an Asian Fusion restaurant so for what it is, I think it's pretty good. The Tri-tip rice dish is to die for! The banh mi is good but I prefer the authentic stuff. Owner is really nice too

Always something a bit unusual or unique about it. rs

(5)Stephanie R.
(4)Richard S.
(4)Amber V.
Personally, I think that Tot is one of the better restaurants in Ashland. It's decently healthy and super fresh. Ambience is a little different...but simple and pleasant, nonetheless. And they have thai iced tea!! yummmyyyy
(4)Hubert S.
(4)K C.
Tot is the best restaurant in ashland. If they did delivery I might never cook again.
(5)Jamie S.
(5)Wellspring C.
(5)Amanda W.
(1)Aura A.
Tot's food is always fresh and delicious. Most of their menu is gluten free, or can easily be made gluten free. This is by far my favorite restaurant in town for take out.
(5)Kate H.
(5)Benjamin K.

(5)Craig B.
Wow. Every time we remember to come here and try something else. Amazing complex. Favors that leave you slurping and smacking away to the goodness. Bravo!
(5)Brian P.
(4)jason m.
(3)Victoria B.
No Pho.
(4)Aubrey F.
Eh it was ok. I probably won't go back. The egg rolls were too hard and the tots were too fried also. Just nothing really to rave about. The girl helping us was knowledgable and easy to order from. She knew what she was talking about. If you want a Pho or a curry maybe try somewhere else first.
(3)Linda L.
(3)Cammy L.
Glad to have the option in Ashland, but it's not as great as I would like.
(2)Frank D.
I come to this place often, it's great; the price point matches the quality of food and the amount served. Consistency is hard to achieve, yet Tot has done this. Keep it up guys!
(5)Ethan K.

Such a delicious variety & special attention from cliental. Very casual... But delicious. Tucked away inside building with fitness and plant make inviting atmosphere.

(5)Russ S.
Always something a bit unusual or unique about it. rs
(5)Dunes B.
My husband and I loved this cute little restaurant. It has a simple, urban, contemporary atmosphere and delicious Vietnamese food! The chicken banh mi was delicious, though I will tell them to hold the pate next time.
(5)Gary K.
(5)Steve F.
(4)Si C.
Great food. We really like the beef noodle salad. It is the best. The red cury is awesome. I will definitely visit it again.
(5)A. B.
As it says it's an Asian Fusion restaurant so for what it is, I think it's pretty good. The Tri-tip rice dish is to die for! The banh mi is good but I prefer the authentic stuff. Owner is really nice too
(4)Ramiz M.
(5)Jammy M.
(4)Sean S.
(5)Hillary L.
Go. Like now.
(5)Claire L.
Love this spot! Tasty and healthy. The menu is small but they constantly update and add items to keep regulars like me interested. The owner/operators are super friendly and offer great service.
(5)Sarah F B.
(5)Heather W.
I love this place. I was always so sad that there wasn't a good place to eat Pho in Ashland. Now you can get some pretty tasty Pho on Fridays. The other food on the menu is good too. The vibe of the place is very kicked back and it always smells amazing.
(5)Danielle R.
I'm a huge fan of this place. Some of the best food in Ashland! If you're gluten intolerant than this place is perfect. The food is so good! My favorite thing to order is the Spicy beef noodle salad. You can never go wrong with it.
(5)Jung O.

(4)Jennifer H.
(2)Pat G.

Delish!
(4)Robin S.
(4)Rebecca M.

(2)Armen S.
(3)Will V.
Tot continues to be awesome. Good prices and great food. Their specials are normally epic - give them a go. And they are serving beer now, too. And most recently they have outdoor seating. So pretty much you need to check this place out.
(5)Jennifer B.
(2)Deneice Z.

(5)Sylvia C.
The food here is really delicious as well as exotic. The curries are great and the Kale Salad. Outdoor seating is sweet but its really the food that makes this place a 5 star culinary delight!
(5)Marni K.
This place is out of the way and less crowded than other Ashland restaurants. The food is great. My favorites are the red curry and the spicy beef noodle salad. I had a broccoli and tofu dish that was a bit too bland. Otherwise its all been great! Service could be better, but its fine.
(4)Susanne R.
(4)Evelyn C.
(4)Sarah M.
Delicious, inventive menu! Nice to see this option in Ashland. We are from Portland and wonder if the owners hail from pdx--this joint certainly seems inspired by some of the Asian fusion fare happening there. Try the Bahn Mi sammy or the wings.
(4)Jeff B.
(4)Christy C.

(4)Jen M.

(4)Jane D.
What a disappointment. The food was awful and the staff was super unprofessional. Never going back.
(1)Russ S.
Always something a bit unusual or unique about it. rs
(5)Dunes B.
My husband and I loved this cute little restaurant. It has a simple, urban, contemporary atmosphere and delicious Vietnamese food! The chicken banh mi was delicious, though I will tell them to hold the pate next time.
(5)Gary K.
(5)Jammy M.
(4)Sean S.
(5)Hillary L.
Go. Like now.
(5)Claire L.
Love this spot! Tasty and healthy. The menu is small but they constantly update and add items to keep regulars like me interested. The owner/operators are super friendly and offer great service.
(5)Sarah F B.
(5)Heather W.
I love this place. I was always so sad that there wasn't a good place to eat Pho in Ashland. Now you can get some pretty tasty Pho on Fridays. The other food on the menu is good too. The vibe of the place is very kicked back and it always smells amazing.
(5)Cammy L.
Glad to have the option in Ashland, but it's not as great as I would like.
(2)Danielle R.
I'm a huge fan of this place. Some of the best food in Ashland! If you're gluten intolerant than this place is perfect. The food is so good! My favorite thing to order is the Spicy beef noodle salad. You can never go wrong with it.
(5)D. H.
(4)Jennifer H.
(2)Pat G.

Delish!

(4)Rebecca M.

(4)Lee N.
(3)Mark M.
(2)Beth H.
First time today for lunch. BBQ beef brisket with rice and beets. Meet was very tender and wonderful flavor. But not much when the fat was removed. Beets were very undercooked. Way overpriced for what was served.

(5)Kate H.
(5)Benjamin K.

(5)Craig B.
Wow. Every time we remember to come here and try something else. Amazing complex. Favors that leave you slurping and smacking away to the goodness. Bravo!
(5)Linda L.
(3)Brian P.
(4)jason m.
(3)Victoria B.
(3)Eping H.

Such a delicious variety & special attention from cliental. Very casual... But delicious. Tucked away inside building with fitness and plant make inviting atmosphere.

(5)Frank D.
I come to this place often, it's great; the price point matches the quality of food and the amount served. Consistency is hard to achieve, yet Tot has done this. Keep it up guys!
(5)Ruth A.

(4)Amber V.

(4)K C.
Tot is the best restaurant in ashland. If they did delivery I might never cook again.
(5)Ramiz M.

(2)A. B.
As it says it's an Asian Fusion restaurant so for what it is, I think it's pretty good. The Tri-tip rice dish is to die for! The banh mi is good but I prefer the authentic stuff. Owner is really nice too
(4)Steve F.
(4)Si C.
Great food. We really like the beef noodle salad. It is the best. The red cury is awesome. I will definitely visit it again.
(5)Jeff B.

(4)Jamie S.
(5)Jane D.
What a disappointment. The food was awful and the staff was super unprofessional. Never going back.
(1)Scott L.
Very good dinner! We'll go again to be sure. Suggest no-tip expectation with no-waiter model.
(4)Amanda W.
(1)Aura A.

(5)Craig B.
Wow. Every time we remember to come here and try something else. Amazing complex. Favors that leave you slurping and smacking away to the goodness. Bravo!
(5)Linda L.
(3)Silje S.
(4)Wellspring C.
(5)Eping H.

(4)jason m.
(3)Victoria B.
(3)Jane D.
What a disappointment. The food was awful and the staff was super unprofessional. Never going back.

Very good dinner! We'll go again to be sure. Suggest no-tip expectation with no-waiter model.
(4)Ethan K.
(4)Deneice Z.
Affordable, delicious food in a hip setting. This place is just what Ashland needs. We tried the Tom Yum, tots and meatball sandwich and they were all really yummy. We will be back over and over again!
(4)Pat G.

Delish!
(4)Robin S.
(4)Jennifer B.

Always something a bit unusual or unique about it. rs
(5)Dunes B.
My husband and I loved this cute little restaurant. It has a simple, urban, contemporary atmosphere and delicious Vietnamese food! The chicken banh mi was delicious, though I will tell them to hold the pate next time.
(5)Gary K.

Go. Like now.

Love this spot! Tasty and healthy. The menu is small but they constantly update and add items to keep regulars like me interested. The owner/operators are super friendly and offer great service.
