One question...how difficult is it to roll a pita? Apparently it's rocket science, because we left here with two pitas that had to be taken home in a box to be eaten with a fork. The employee stated "wow, this is the worst pita I've ever rolled"...twice in a row? C'mon lady. I left regretting that I paid for these and in shock that she didn't offer to at least take the goodies out and roll them in a new pita. I guess this place is only good when you're too drunk to realize what kind of food you're getting.

Pita Pit now has a second location in ashland and it's right across the street from the university. Next to 7/11. Same owners as Main Street Pita Pit but closer to students.

Disappointed & disgusted... My friend & I went to the new Pita Pit location near 7/11 & the girl working at the time was very rude & short with us. She talked to my friend like she was 5 years old when all she wanted was a bigger cup for some water. I specifically told her that I was vegan & she used the same spatula for my vegan falafel as she did for my friends chicken falafel. That's DISGUSTING. Like seriously? That's common sense. & how hard is it to roll a pita? This girl needs to learn some serious customer service skills. I won't say names because I don't want to get anyone fired, but she was very young & inexperienced...

. FADE IN: 1. EXT. MAIN STREET, ASHLAND. DAY. A smartly dressed COUPLE, theatre patrons, walk down Main Street, crossing in front of a PITA PIT sign. 2. INT. PITA PIT. CONTINUOUS. Two women are having dinner at the Pita Pit in Ashland. WOMAN 1 The food in this restaurant is terrible. WOMAN 2 It is. (Beat.) And such small portions. FADE OUT.

Terrible. Slow, understaffed, the girl didn't change gloves between customers. I'm sorry, I don't want steak fingers in my vegetarian food. I've been here 3 or 4 times, one time it wasn't a bad experience. Never going back.

Pita Pit, was always a place I stumbled into around 1am. So from what I remember the pitas were pretty good ;) Nah, I came here a couple times during the day. But something was always missing. The service was decent. Not bad/not great. I liked their shirts that said "rolling fatties" and the big ole couch you could sit on. The pitas were always a little small and a little expensive. A good place to go if you need a late night snack, but not the place I would go if I was wanting a great meal. But for some reason people seem to die for this place. To each its own.

For years my sister and I have been debating about our towns. I had In & Out. I had Wahoos. I had Disneyland for crying out loud. Now I have San Francisco, what more needs to be said? And her argument was always the same. "I have Pita Pit." This last trip I finally had a chance to try the legendary Pita Pit. YUM! It's so simple. Instead of fast food, instead of your simple sandwich, head over to Pita Pit! The price is reasonable, the food flavorful, and you leave stuffed. It doesn't revolutionize the food industry and I'd call it "fast food" over "greek." But I went twice during a six day trip, and I'll be going again.

Oh my goodness! FRESH Pitas, freshly prepared ingredients, friendly servers! This place is THE best place for lunch in all of Ashland Oregon! The staff are friendly, fast and eager to serve you the best pita just the way you want it! The food is fresh, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, laid back and you can watch a little tv or meet up with your friends here! TWO entrances, just follow the signs out on the sidewalk on Main Street or use the back entrance if you are so inclined. Say hi to the friendly servers! They are always ready with a smile and make you feel right at home! Eat fresh, eat healthy or get sandwiches delivered for your whole office or classroom! Stop by in the evening too! Any time you are hungry this place seems to be open!

Huge, tasty pita sandwiches. Extremely friendly. Not the best pitas I've had, but the best I've had in Ashland. The reviewers who hate this place hate it because they wish it were something else. As with everything in this world, take it for what it is, and you'll be happier.

Usually Pita Pit is one of my favorite places to go and get Pita's. Until the awful experience in customer service I experienced today with my family, when we tried to get our food delivered to us. We went online and placed an order for delivery and were first told that our address was out of the delivery area.(even though they had delivered it to that address before) So we set up a different address for pick up that my sister had to go to. (But still a lot closer than down town) After waiting for thirty minutes past the delivery time she finally called the store, who told her they had no orders for delivery. When she explained that she placed it online they denied having the order again. After she insisted she placed the order I guess they looked in the fax machine tray and found the order. Which they promptly made and delivered to us. Two of the pitas were made wrong and we didn't end up getting them for another forty minutes. I was at work a few buildings away and had to leave to go watch my nephew while she went to get food. I ended up having to be late back to work and not get to eat my lunch. Which is not something that made me happy. The gal on the phone apologized, but when the food was delivered they informed my sister that they had not brought any cash to make change for her with. So I hope that driver is enjoying their six dollar tip we were forced to give them. Definately going to think twice about getting delivery from these people again. Like I said at the start usually there is no problem with the food. But the service really let us down today. They didn't even offer us a discount on the food or a cookie or anything. Even though the failure was all them.

This place is nearly as mediterranean as Fat Burger is vegetarian..........if you don't want to go to Greece for the centuries old tradition of sirloin steak; bacon and cheese stuffed in a pita you will find it here. I asked them if they had any eggplant which you would find at any respectable Mediterranean place and the server actually replied "oh yes we put in in the hummus"....... wow. The good news was that things were fresh enough that I didn't get sick. Maybe at 3 a.m. instead of frozen or canned food this place would be worth a visit otherwise skip it.

YO, I just found out that as of St. Patty's day, THE PITA IS ONCE AGAIN OPEN! I also found out that the gyro pita is pronounced "yee-roh". No, I'm still going to pronounce it "JAI-ROH".

This place provide three things that one rarely sees together: 1) Healthy food. Don't get me wrong; there's a lot of decent, healthy food in Southern Oregon, especially Ashland. But combine that with the next two elements and tell me where you find such a thing. 2) Fast food. It's not "drive-through fast food", but it is fast. They make it right in front of your eyes. 3) Open late. It's tough to find any place in Southern Oregon (besides bars or night clubs) that are open late. Over all the place is clean, the food is fresh and fast, and its got great hours. I'm a new fan.

Four stars because they are open til 3 AM!!!!! The concept is simple - stuff your pita with anything you want, so if you don't like your meal...well, heck, you MADE it! they are not out to impress you with their food...but while every other restaurant owner closes thier dors at night and goes home to get a good-night's sleep, these guys are out there to satisfy your hunger until very, very, very late. Being that Ashalnd is a college town, they have certainly hit the spot!

I'm with Lenny G. on this one. I had heard good things about Pita Pit from a friend, so my fiance and I stopped there for lunch one day. It was pretty loud. A sports game was playing on the large TV and rap music was blaring. But what really turned me off to Pita Pit was the confusing layout. It's set up like a "build-your-own" place, which made us get behind the several people lining up at the food bar. However, after ten minutes of waiting, we figured out that maybe that wasn't the place to order. We went up the the register to place our order there. Vegetarians and veggie-lovers beware. This place isn't exactly vegetarian friendly. After seeing that their meat looked fatty and unappetizing, I ordered a veggie pita with feta. Apparently, the girl who prepared my pita had never actually eaten feta cheese before. She stuffed the pita with cup after cup of feta cheese. Not very tasty. Although my fiance reported that his chicken pita was tasty, he agreed that the service/wait/atmosphere was too awful for us to return. I would suggest going to Pangea up the street. It's about the same price and the food is so much tastier.

I ordered a babaganoush while visiting for the shakespeare festival. I figured our next stop wouldn't have anything vegetarian so I figured this would do. The guy helping me just asked what i wanted and put handfuls of everything not thinking about how sour it would turn out. After he finished he checked again and asked me if i ordered a babaganoush. On the drive home I bite into my pita and realized the guy gave me a pita with just sides.

Not sure what I would do without Ashland Pita Pit. Its a relatively inexpensive quick fix and hey it's healthy too. In general the employees are friendly and try to get things right even if the execution isn't always there sometimes. For example: They almost always put feta cheese on my wife's gyro even though I explicitly ask them not to. They are usually very fast to deliver but I live close by. They load the pita full of goodies and I feel like you get lots of healthy food for very little dollar.

I visited the Pita Pit, a relative newcomer to Ashland, to try their falafel, although they also offer just about anything that can be thrown inside a pita bread. It appeared to be a teenage hangout and had the ambience of a restaurant in a mall food court. Courage the Cowardly Dog was showing on the wide-screen TV, while rap music blared from the house sound system. Fortunately, the acoustics were awful so that the lyrics were undiscernable. The falafel "balls" were grilled rather than deep fried, in fact no deep fryer was evident. I was offered a choice of a white or wheat pita, much appreciated in this whole wheat town, and there was an array of possible toppings to choose from. Unlike the typical New York falafel, once the ingredients were all in place, the pita was wrapped around into a burrito shape. This unusual presentation actually worked, though, assuring that every bite contained veggies, sauces and chick-pea patty. Bottom line, it tasted pretty good, but no match for the more traditional Happy Falafel across town, although I wish that place had white pita bread. I'd give the Pit a typical three star mall food rating, but I must subtract a star for rap music.

This place has awesome pits sandwiches!!! The only reason I give them a 4 and not 5 is because they aren't consistent with their delivery service and to me that is bad customer relations! I had called them to get some pitas delivered, it was about 2pm, and they said that since not many people had called for delivery they stopped delivering for the day. They said I could come in, but if I wanted to come in I wouldn't have called!! I will just know that if I want their sandwich I won't rely on delivery and will go in..
