Came in after a long weekend of camping at country fest. Needing food and coffee, Theresa in the bar was more than happy to oblige. They were busy in the restaurant so she told is our food would take a while. We waited only about 15 mins when our plates came in. Not giant portions, but good, fast and hot. The bar area is clean and ran well. Great breakfast spot!!!

Basically just a bad diner. My aunt really likes it, so I've been there a few times, and I don't have the heart to say anything to her, but I've had a bad experience with the food every time. The food is edible, but I can make everything I've ever had there way cheaper and way better at home. Eating there is like eating a frozen microwave dinner that you pay way too much so that you don't have to microwave it yourself. In fact, I actually think that might be literally what you are doing. There is nothing interesting or challenging on the menu. The first time I went there, I ordered a fried flounder sandwich, expecting a breaded fillet of flounder. Instead I got a frozen round fish patty on a grocery store bun with a half-green tomato and a whimpy piece of lettuce. That's all. Didn't come with fries or chips or anything whatsoever. It was completely bland and definitely did not have the right texture for flounder. The salad bar is around $10, has a poor selection, and for this price at which you can often get a full buffet meal, they only let you go up once. Sweet Waters is a waste of time and money and stomach space. Don't bother going there.

Don't go there. The food is overpriced and the menu hasn't changed in decades! The "specials" haven't changed in years. The menu and decor is so tired looking.

Had a great dinner, corn beef & cabbage and hubby had corn beef hash & eggs. Very friendly, clean, great service thank you Lynetta! Look on yelp, was recommended and we saw that they were serving corn beef, very happy we went. We will come again if in the area. Can't wait to eat our dessert! Chocolate peanut butter cheesecake & bread pudding...took it to go! We will let you know

We've eaten here many times but tonight was pretty discouraging. We waited over 40 minutes and never received our food. The reason? Everyone came in at once and there was only 1 cook. At 25 min we had the server check on our order- we were 2nd up. Okay we'll be patient a little longer. At 40 min we requested the order be packed up to go. At 50 min, we left without our meal. It will take some doing for my husband to Gree to go back.

Great place to go once you reach senior citizen status. It's your typical Denny's atmosphere with a touch of down home. The food is good but not great and the service is better than a Denny's.

We were traveling through from Southern California and are so glad that we stopped here. Delicious food and wonderful service from our waitress, Lynetta! Her friendliness and great recommendations made our visit exceptional! We will be back again next time we pass through! :)

Sooo I am happy with the waitresses *Sue *Peggy *. Great ladies always happy to see us! The food was cooked fine. The issue was the skinny dark haired lady. The hostess didn't seat us, our Waitress did! The dark haired lady and the "hostess" just stood up at the front. Our waitress was great, Sue we loved you! Not so excited about the 2 ladies up front! I hope neither of those ladies was the owner cause that's not a way to run a business! Just a fair warning if you want prompt service flag down a waitress!!

A little slice of Florida right in Albany! Pulling in to Sweet Waters my coworker and I noticed a lot of cars. Sweetwaters was hoppin! Of course, all the people we saw in the parking lot were really old! We joked that their senior menu must be really good. We were quickly seated for lunch and our premonitions on clientele proved correct, Sweet Waters must be Albany's favorite spot for the elderly. The other thing we noticed was that the decor was odd. Big comfy chairs on wheels were around all the tables. The booths were very plush. The ceiling and lighting hadn't been redone in a quite some time. The pictures on the walls seemed to fit...almost. It had an odd vibe that's tough to explain, like something wasn't quite right. The service was good and prompt. I ordered a hot turkey sandwich with gravy and mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a chicken ranch wrap. The food is probably the easiest thing about Sweet Waters to describe. My food was ho-hum. My buddy's was ho-hum. There was nothing notable about it even though it wasn't bad. Even if you've never eaten at Sweet Waters before, you've been here. If that sentence doesn't make sense to you, it will once you eat here. Our food wasn't cheap either, especially for what it was. Plates creeped upwards of $10. I thought maybe the senior menu was more aggressive but a perusal of the pricing didn't lead me to believe so. There's better joints nearby, like Novaks or Elmers which are in this price point. Even Sizzler might be an upgrade.

Lunch at Sweet Waters was a pleasant surprise after reading so many negative comments. Guess it is just easier to write negative material. Anyway, we are 68 and 73 in age and do not consider ourselves elderly having just walked rapidly after landing at Albany Airport. We found the food to be very good and having selected from the Sr. menu, not too much so we didn't take any home-yeah! The service was efficient and timely (salad brought before the sandwich for example), the waiter (or is it still waitress) was pleasant and attentive. In addition, the temperature was perfect. No cold drafty breezes to prove they had AC, so I didn't need to put on the shirt I had carried along. All good and glad we tried it. Now we can color the other side of the picture in pleasant colors.

Pure Americana. This place is awesome. The hash browns are crisp on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. Eggs were perfect. Very good food. No complaints from me about the senior citizens either cause I like the elderly.

Good basic breakfast. It would be a four but service was poor. We were there for a late breakfast and in the way for lunch setup. Their manner made that clear.

We thought we walked into a Senior Center when we first arrived and we were right. As another reviewer said, it was bland. Reminded me of hospital food. We had the chicken cordon blu and it was an overcooked little breast with a thin piece of lunch meat ham in the middle topped with some white cheese whiz like stuff on the top. The green beans were soggy cold canned beans with some bacon on top along with red potatoes that were boiled to death. The garlic cheese toast was a slice of white bread with butter and garlic salt on it. Even the salad bar was disappointing. $25.00 and I couldn't eat it. Go next door to Elmers! We should have.

If you find yourself in Albany hungry with a car full of kids or seniors, pull in here. The food is fine. They have cheap wine and lots of honest local character.

We were in Albany, OR for just two days. We were attracted to the restaurant sign saying that they were serving baby back ribs all day on July 4. Ambience was casual and attractive, and there is cocktail service provided through a separate bar room. Service was very good. The rib special ($12.95) included excellent cream of potato soup (or salad bar), mashed potatoes, outstanding slaw and baked beans. The heroic portion of ribs was falling off the bones tender and super delicious. We have had ribs all over the south, in Memphis, Louisville, and Texas. This is our all time favorite BBQ rib place.
