What happened? This was my mom's favorite place to eat. She always ordered "the Godfather " and it was fantastic. We haven't been back here for at least 18 months. We found ourselves in the neighborhood so we were excited to return for our favorite dish. What a huge disappointment. Something has changed and it is definitely not for the better. The dish used to be huge with amazing spicy white cream sauce with five or six JUMBO Parmesan crusted shrimp. Delish! We were served an average size order of pasta, the sauce wasn't even close and the shrimp were tiny frozen (de thawed and cooked of course) kind. We won't be back so who knows if they will ever get it back the way it was. What a shame. BTW we talked with the manager and he said they had changed the dish over a year ago but certainly knew what we were talking about. He tried to repair by bringing out more pasta with pecan crusted jumbo shrimp. Better but too late.

For some reason I have just not ever had a great experience here. I have found one thing out though, don't ever order one of the specials. It will be more expensive than a regular menu item and the portion size will be small comparatively. I have only had great service here one time. Basically this has become a place that I will eat at if the other person I am with for some strange reason insists that we eat here. Maybe you will like it, maybe you won't.

Everything we ordered was just sub-par. My shrimp was over cooked and my food not nearly as spicy as it should have been. A steak that was ordered by our party was sent back twice because they didn't get it right. It never did end up "medium rare" but it was eaten so as not to send it back a third time. Wait staff was pleasant enough and the restaurant was clean. We're in no hurry to go back.

Nothing fancy, ordered a bottle of wine and everyone at the table was carded! 2 of us were over 50! Our waiter was less then professional. Food was decent. Atmosphere went along with the old shopping mall that houses the restaurant. Happy Travels.

I got to sit and watch people get served who came in after me. There seemed to be a problem because a second waitress came to serve me after I had been served and told me about her issues in the back. The food is a notch above chef boy Ardee and I am disappointed because I could have went to Carinos for a few dollars more.

The night we went, after we ordered, we were told they were out of veal which was upsetting since we both had ordered a veal dish. This was our first time there so not sure how often this happens. Nice hole in the wall kind of place. Prices are reasonable depending on what you order. Service was fair, could have been faster.

Oh, Primo's. I so badly want to like you. In fact, I would argue that I NEED to love you. The suburbs have so much to offer in the way of home size, schools and safety, but the food options are just lacking and you have the ability to fill that void in a town of fast food and chains, but you have failed me. Not long ago, my husband and I could dine there and leave happy, but over the last few years we don't even recognize it as an option. We have had particularly terrible service there on several occasions, and the food quality has gone from good to tolerable to inedible. While running errands one Saturday afternoon around 2pm, we decided to give it another shot. After we ordered beers, I headed to the restroom to wash my hands. I overheard our waiter tell the bartender our drink order, to which he replied, "wow, already?!" as if we had ordered two double martinis each (which, let's be clear, if we wanted to do that, we could have). The waiter made a comment and was clearly embarrassed when he realized I was standing there. Here's an idea: don't talk about your customers at all, regardless of where you think they are. The bread was clearly from the day before (or older) and that has always been one of the saving graces. Our food came and it was just OK. My husband loves chicken parm, and in particular used to love it from Primo's, but he was underwhelmed. I got pasta with a grilled chicken breast and it was about what you would get at Fazoli's. All around it, was just sad. I'm afraid that they opened too many locations too quickly and let their quality decline. I think I will just stick to making pasta at home when I have a carby craving rather than giving Primo's another try.

Not what it used to be. I remember when it was an hour wait or longer for dinner, and was worth it. Now the food quality and quantity are poor. Skip it until they fix it even though I don't think they ever will.

We almost didn't try this due to the negative reviews on here. We are new to the area and staying at a hotel. The lady at the front desk recommended Primos and said they were good so we gave it a try. So glad we did! It was very good!! My 16 year old daughter had the chicken fettuccini alfredo and it was awesome. She ate the whole plate which was a huge portion! I had the chicken parmesan and the chicken was very tender. The other daughter had the ravioli. It was a little undercooked in my opinion but she loved it. We came out of there full and happy!! Give it a try!

I took my wife here on our way back to California. 1.2.13 around 7:30pm. The good: Nick, our waiter was a good kid. Still in high school. We had a great conversation on guitars. The bad: I ordered potato soup. I was eating it and suddenly found rocks in my mouth! I spit them out and sorted them on my bread saucer. They were small, black and hard. About the size of fish tank rocks. I immediately showed them to our waiter. He showed them to the manager. The manager was going to comp us desserts. The ugly: My wife ordered veal parmesan with grilled zucchini and squash. I ordered Godfather pasta with breaded shrimp. Our meals came out in under ten minutes. The veal was overcooked and the zucchini and squash were undercooked. My "godfather pasta" was awful. I didn't need to be Gordon Ramsay to know everything had been previously cooked and had been sitting for a long time. The shrimp tasted like it had been breaded and deep fried and frozen only to be nuked in a microwave to get hot enough to serve. I ate a small amount of pasta and two shrimp. I gave a third shrimp to my wife to confirm that they were terrible. We paid $35 for the meal and I left our waiter $7 cash for tip. We left and went directly to Wendy's for a salad. That was the first time I ever left a restaurant and had to go somewhere else to get something to eat. We were going to go back to the hotel and forget the whole thing but I had to go back and tell the manager what I thought. It was the principle of the thing. He was a kid, too. Couldn't be more than 19 or 20. I told him I didn't think it was right that we paid for food that was so bad. The conversation went on and he told me he didn't have the authority to void the check, lol. Dude, if that's true... you're not a manager. Final verdict: Skip this place. If you live in Yukon, OK and you think this food is good... you need to get out to a proper city and have some REAL Italian food. This food is crap. Stop recommending it to visitors. This food is not, OK. (see what i did there?) To the owner: Fire your so-called "chef". There's a reason why he ended up in Yukon and isn't cooking in a proper restaurant.

I don't know why every restaurant has so many hard core critics on here. The food is great! I had the chicken Alfredo and the wife got godfather pasta with chicken. Service was outstanding as well. A+++

I completely revoke my good review of this establishment. Just had the worst experience and will NOT be returning.

The service, as usual, was terrible. When we finally received our food it was just ok. Overall, this place is disappointing and you should just go someplace else.

I went to Primo's with my husband and some friends while in Oklahoma for the holidays. The interior of the restaurant is decorated nicely, not something I'd necessarily expected considering it's located in a strip mall. Anyway, we were seated right away and decided on the stuffed mushrooms and some calamari for our appetizers. Meanwhile, the waitress brought fresh, warm bread to our table--it was very good and I enjoyed the rosemary baked into it. The calamari was all right, but the flavor and the crispiness could have been better. My husband and friends really enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms (I don't eat them, so I can't comment). I ordered the Godfather Shrimp Pasta for my entree. It had parmesan crusted fried shrimp on a bed of pasta with a parmesan cream sauce, tomatoes, and green onions. The pasta was flavorful, and the shrimp were tasty too. My friends ordered the shrimp and garlic ravioli, and the steak with parmesan shrimp, while my husband went with the classic spaghetti with Italian sausage. My two friends who ordered the steak said it was tough and chewy, so they did not finish it. My husband really enjoyed his entree but wished there had been more sauce on it, and my other friend said the shrimp and garlic ravioli was good, but not as good as the Godfather Shrimp Pasta (her favorite when she goes there). For dessert, I had the pumpkin panna cotta, which had the creme brulee caramelized top, and my friends had some creme brulee. The desserts were very good. I liked the raspberry sauce that came with my panna cotta. Surprisingly, it went really well with the pumpkin. Primo's seems like a good place to go to dinner when you are in Yukon, especially with family and/or friends. The prices are very inexpensive (I believe the highest priced entree was something like $18.95). The only thing I noticed was that the service seemed to be pretty slow, but we had a good time talking so it wasn't really a problem.

Primo's is located near the Silver Cinemas in a shopping center. It's nicely decorated and service is excellent. Entrees run around $12. I was disappointed in the menu actually. My husband loves their blackened chicken alfredo, but i found it bland. Maybe i'm just not classy or something, i'm noticing i seem to prefer chain restaurants. I like alot of seasonings and dang it i'm not ashamed to say, I love me some salt! Sooo... altho I am not much a fan, you might be.

Really good Italian food with a great selection. Prices are a little high, but service is outstanding.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
