Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

They've kind of gone downhill. I always try and be as healthy as possible - which is hard to do at Italian places. So I get the chicken dishes on a bed of spinach. But the last few times I've been or ordered take-out, the spinach was drowning in a plate of butter. There's no reason for that.... a little with garlic? fine... but seriously??!? This was disgusting.

I would like to start off by saying that I feel as though this place as experienced a change in management and not for the good. I have always loved Johnny Carinos until the last 2 times that I have visited this particular one in Yukon. Each time that I have gone the food is not up to par and I am left wanting. I always (and I mean ALWAYS) order the Chicken Bowtie Festival. This is the reason that I go to Johnny Carinos. BUT this establishment in Yukon seems to not know how to make their own food. It is awful and does not taste right. Last night, the food I got tasted burnt and wasn't even the right color. We will not be giving our money to this place ever again. We will visit one of the other ones in in the OKC metro.

Used to be my favorite restaurant. Over the past several years it has steadily gone downhill. Lukewarm lower quality food dirty silverware and incredibly noisy. A disappointment to say the least, we try to avoid corporate restaurant chains these days.

Great atmosphere, good food.... Typical Italian chain food but still a great place to take the family or meet up with friends for dinner. Read my review about a place called Luigiano's in Mustang, Oklahoma. Lugiano's is better on the price and overall quality of the food, and the taste is MUCH better than Carino's but don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining about Carino's at all.

I love italian food, but for some reason, it is hard to find italian restaurants I like in OK that aren't too expensive to eat at on a regular basis. Johnny Carinos is a chain restaurant, so don't expect the food to taste like it is straight from Tuscany. Everytime I have been here the service has been prompt (not very friendly though) and the food has been delicious if not exactly authentic. I always get the Chicken Picatta, but have tasted other pasta dishes as well. Compared to other chains such as Olive Garden or Zio's, Johnny Carinos stands head and shoulders above.

I love their Italian Nachos!!! This hits the spot, not to mention their bread and oil.

I took the family here and was less than satisfied. The both kids complained that the pizza crust tasted funny. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, and was not a fan. The pasta sauce tasted over-cooked and was not like anything I had ever really had before. The meatballs were also over cooked and not very flavorful. My oldest child had a sampler, and the chicken parm was also over-cooked and too crunchy and dry. The service was also a lot slower than seemed necessary. The restaurant was not empty but was not full, either. All in all, not a very pleasant dining experience. It is a chain, but I expected better for the price.

Not what I really expected. Lacked flavor and the Italian feel. The plus was the great customer service, our waitress was very attentive to the fact that we had picky young children and offered many suggestions to allow our youngest to be able to enjoy the restaurant as well. I would return if there were not other options, but this would not be my first choice. Not impressed by the food!

I like this place, but it took me awhile to find a few items on the menu that I like. What I have found is that I don't like the traditional Italian items on the menu. I like the nontraditional items that we Americans don't usually order at an Italian restaurant. The bread is really good. They have good soup and salad as well.

if you have even a little vit of discriminating taste in food then avoid this plave. if howecer you genuinely like the taste and quality of Cicis or little Ceasars pizza or you really could mistake Disiorno pizza for delivery then this place might be for you. the pizza I ordered was wholly unappetizing. the dough was raw still under the cheese and the service was lacking. the bread and oil pepper garlic blend was the highlight but all downhill from there. find a locally owned place where the people care about the food. it has been a long time since I actually did not at least smile and choke down a bad dinner. I clearly hardly touched it and the waitress never asked the standard "how is everything tasting" question of me or the rest of our party. my fellow patrons took leftovers to go and we too did not receive a bag.

They catered a business luncheon for my office. It was difficult to get an itemized invoice up front, then the caterer wanted me to EMAIL MY CC INFO FOR PAYMENT, and on the day of the event, the food arrived too early and was cold by the time the event began. It is good food when served in restaurant but at this event, no one got seconds because it was unappetizing by the time we got started at noon, which was communicated to the caterer in advance. So we ended up wasting money, and as a non profit thats very discouraging. In the future I would specify exactly what time you need food set up so it doesn't cool for 50 minutes before serving.

We stopped for lunch there few days ago. Service was absolutely outstanding, but as we go to food. I was not impressed. I've ordered baked ravioli. It came swimming in Campbell tomato soup. At least it tasted like one. Maybe they were short of sauce and had to make some quickly, not sure. As for now I'm not going back there till they will fix it.

Love this place. I have never been disappointed. The service is great. Very friendly and professional. The food is always hot and tastes good. I would recommend this place to anybody.

My husband and I are currently at Johnny Carinos because I can't wait to share our dining experience. As soon as we walked in the door, the hostess was on the phone with her back to the door. We waited for approximately five minutes before she even acknowledged us. We were sat and before given the opportunity to look at the menu, our server (Hailey) approached the table and immediately asked what we wanted for an appetizer. I asked her to give us a moment to look. I had to ask for a second plate of garlic and oil because I like to put vinegar in mine. I had to get up and retrieve plates and my husband got up to retrieve silverware. I ordered a bar drink and had to go to the bar myself to get stirrer straws for my drink. My husband and I shared the baked tortelloni - he asked that mine have marinara and his have Alfredo only - no meat. When the plates were delivered (not by our server) the were the same....only marinara. We explained the problem and it was returned only to come back with the Alfredo/marinara mixture AND meat. He did not say anything, just ate it because at this point, why bother. The caulk at the table was pulling away and surrounded by what I assume is mold and the wall above the caulk is water damaged and moldy as well. Diners beware; this place is a disgusting nightmare!

Are you kidding me? This place should be on Kitchen Nightmares! The food was overlooked then topped with a sauce is conceal it. I order desert to go and the waitress brings my desert with food on the bottom of the container. No utensils or a to go bag. Did I mention how dirty the floor was or that I had to ask the waitress to clean the booth before I would sit there. Why did I eat there you ask, because I was so tired and frustrated. Major mistake.

I thought this was an old olive garden. Food here is ok. not the best. Restaurant manager was awesome though. Super friendly and nice. Service is good. They can benefit from better food.
