We got a coupon in the mail from them and usually I don't eat at places that send coupons out because that only means one or two things...1)they suck & business is hurting 2)they just recently changed owners. I'm from Texas so I'm used to real authentic Tex-Mex & this place was neither Tex-Mex nor Mexican. Never have I went to a Mexican restaurant where the food was bland & needed salt. Um, hello it's suppose to be Mexican full of flavor. The salsa was like water, not even hot at all. The appetizer plates that were on the table when we sat down were disgustingly dirty, I sent them back. Our chips (which were broken little pieces), salsa & cheese dip came to the table with a order of fresh homemade tortillas (the only thing good at this place). My daughter ordered the tortilla soup which came with your choice of tamale, taco or enchilada. She chose the beef tamale with chili on top, also came with rice & beans. Let me put it this way...Taco Beuno makes a better tortilla soup than they did. The tamale was disgusting (too much masa not enough meat), the rice was hard (looked like yesterdays rice), the beans were a bland mush topped with greasy cheese. My other daughter ordered bean and cheese nachos, she didn't complain much about those except for all the grease. My husband and I ordered the beef fajitas which didn't even come to the table sizzling, honestly looked like it came from a bag and they just warmed it up in the microwave and brought it out. We had to tell our waitress that we wanted tortillas with our fajitas, really we're eating fajitas how else do you eat them? The onions and green bell peppers(no yellow or red, just green) weren't even charred from the grill, our rice was hard as well and our beans were bland topped with greasy cheese. To top things off the kitchen guy that was doing the dishes came out with a stack of appetizer plates stacked so high he had to hold them with his greasy dirty stubbly chin, gross! Definitely won't be coming back to this place, I'll stick to my local street taco cart, more authentic and flavorful.

I went to Alfredo's with high expectations after rave reviews from friends. I was underwhelmed to say the least. Not only was the service rushed and unfriendly, I had an entire margarita spilt atop my head by a waiter. Not a single employee checked on me or my completely soaked table. However they checked on every table surrounding us that weren't effected by the spill. Every other table was offered discounts, EXCEPT US. To say the least, we were furious. Even when we complained we were offered nothing but a weak and insincere apology. All I got out of the evening was a ruined blouse and mediocre food.

Now, I like me some mexican food, so I had to try this place out. I drive by it every now and then, and the parking lot is always full, so I figured it must be good. And it was, maybe a little too tex-mex for me, but still very good. My waiter was a very friendly gentleman named Saul. He brought out chips, mild salsa, queso and fresh homemade tortillas. I'm liking this place already! Warm tortillas and queso? Can't go wrong there. I didn't know what to order, so I got a chicken and rice burrito with a sour cream sauce on top with steamed beans and quacamole on the side. I also asked Saul if there were jalepenos he could give me b/c the salsa was much too mild for me. He told me there was another salsita that he would bring out. YUMMMM! It tasted like the chilies were fire roasted and also tasted like there was a bit of corn? in it. Very spicy. The food was good. Again, I won't say great b/c again it was too tex-mex for me. Saul asked if it was what I was anticipating. I told him no, that I wanted something more mexican. He told me about some tacos that were more mexican style than the dish I ordered. The tacos come old school style in corn tortillas topped with cilantro and onions...mmm mmm good. I will definately be ordering those next time I go, since I do plan on going back. Saul also recommended the margaritas. He said they were HUGE and only $2.50 each glass. I went ahead and order one. He was right, this bad boy was HUUUUUGE!!! It was probably one of the BEST margaritas that I've ever had. Not too sweet, not too tart. Perfect! He then brought out some sopapillas that were part of the meal. I didnt even know that. They were fresh and warm, and he brought out honey to drizzle them with. It was a very great meal. Great waiters, clean, good food and wonderful margaritas. You know I'll be back ;-)

Horrible service, I get sick every time I go there, and today's meal was garbage....we are done and won't be back.

A step up from Taco Bell. A small step but a step. Went for lunch, seated quickly, cheery interior, friendly waitress. Ordered coffee with cream and sugar as it was quite chilly outside. Waitress had to check and see if they had creamer. She brought me a coffee and a foam dish of milk since they didn't have creamer. Ordered a water instead. Ordered the burrito with black beans, spicy guacamole and mexican corn. They put the black beans in my lunch partners burrito not mine. The mexican corn was corn and sour cream mixed together and the guacamole had a 1/4 of an avocado sized chunk in it which I would have been happy about if it weren't hard as a rock and nowhere near ripe. The food came out in less than 5 minutes which means it's cafeteria style, not freshly made to order and you can taste it. The waitress was apologetic about the black bean issue and brought us some sopaillias which were tasty. Would I go back? Probably not unless there were no alternatives. If you've lived near authentic Mexican cuisine, this is not it. Might be ok for midwestern folk and native Oklahomans but not for this Santa Fe and Phoenix girl.

I would recommend Alfredo's Mexican café because their food is good. I would recommend the Kristens Pork Tacos. They serve Chips and queso after you ORDER your drink. The chips and queso are hot and fresh. But on weekends they are really busy. 30-45 mins of wait. Other than that, I would recommend this place.

I usually eat here when visiting family. I'm a little disappointed in the staff the last visit....they rushed us and were not very friendly. The food is great, though.

We tried Aldredo's when we first moved into the area years ago, but weren't too impressed. We recently went back with some family and were surprised with the changes. Everything from the chips/salsa/queso to the enchiladas and tacos were fresh and tasty. We are thankful for a local and delicious Mexican restaurant.

!Buenisimo! When it come to good Tex-Mex food in Yukon, OK, this is the place to go! Snappy service and some pretty good food as well. My go to is the chimichanga, but I have enjoyed everything that I have eaten there. This is one place that I'm happy to have relatively close to my casa, for those late work nights when neither of us want to cook!

Huge portions! Lightning-fast service! Pudding-queso! This place has become a family tradition when I'm back home. The food is pretty standard for Tex-Mex around OKC. It's not great, and everything sorta tastes the same, but it's by no means bad. Enchiladas and chimichangas are par for the course here. The fourth star is for service. There's a small army of little Hispanic dudes who run around and refill chips, salsa and drinks if any of the above drop below the 1/4 mark. Chips, salsa, queso, delicious sweet corn salsa, tortillas, and sopapillas are complimentary. The queso is the thick, pudding-like kind - not the best, but I guess it's a gift horse. Drinks come in those massive, 32-oz. heavy plastic cups. The tortillas are made fresh in a little tortilla hut. They're toasted slightly crispy on bottom, and are probably the highlight of the dining experience. I would return. Not that I have a choice...

This is our every Saturday lunch spot. Love the friendly service and the food is excellent. I have tried several items off the menu and have yet to find anything that I don't like.

We live in Yukon and avoid this place. Have eaten there several times and have NEVER had good food. The queso is watered down, literally and the soup is also watered down and horrible. The salsa is OK but the enchiladas are as someone else said "nasty". There are other Mexican food restaurants in town that are MUCH better.

Alfredo's was incredibly underwhelming. My family and I chose this restaurant since we were passing through Yukon and we based our decision on decent yelp reviews (actually I based our decision on yelp reviews). When you first step in the door, your special senses will be overwhelmed with smelling/tasting the conoco bathroom air. This passed quickly as we walked through the next door, however. We were seated immediately and brought chips, queso, salsa, corn relish and hot salsa. Chips were mildly stale although edible; queso and salsa were tasty, but the queso rapidly congealed, becoming quite unappetizing. The service was decent, but our waiter was incredibly awkward. For dinner, my mother and I split the avocado enchiladas and I asked for Mexican corn and rice, my mother wanted rice and beans. They mildly screwed that up but it wasn't a huge deal. The food was just not great though. It was barely warm (my corn was actually cold) and was missing a lot of flavor. The avocado enchiladas were measly, with only a couple slices of avocado per enchilada. I'd have to say the best part of the meal was my daughter's french fries that came with her bean burrito. The whole family was in accord about the situation. My step-father said the Alfredo's in Weatherford is actually really good, so maybe we just came on an off day but I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Alfredo's sounds like Italian but it's Mexican. This place serves up pretty decent Mexican food. Portions are large and servers are friendly. They offer salsa, queso, chips and tortillas to start. It's like a well oiled machine here, everyone works and works and works. Food has decent flavors. You won't have a bad time here. It gets busy so expect a wait during busy hours.

Food was ok. Needed some seasoning. Bring some adobo. Had better. Waitress was excellent. Food was served fast. Price was pretty good also. If you like spicy ask for the green hot salsa It was the only thing I had with seasoning. Place was different with the horse chairs and fountain in it.

Everything is excellent, but enchiladas are nasty!!!! Do yourself a favor and don't order!

  • Donnetta J.

The wait time was extremely short and as soon as we were seated we received chips with salsa and queso. The salsa was over flavored (too much cilantro or whatever spice it was in there) but the queso was SOOOOO GOOD! I really appreciate that they had a special Gluten-free menu and enjoyed my cheese enchiladas. It did not take long at all for the food to come out once the order was placed & our server was very attentive to keeping our drinks filled.

Anybody know what a sea cow (also known as a Manatee) looks like? 'Google Image' it. Note the rotund physique, the vacuous gaze, the general appearance of lazy corpulence. This is how you will feel when leaving Alfredo's; portion sizes border on obscene. The entire experience was enjoyable, despite nothing sticking out as being particularly mind-blowing. The food is standard Tex-Mex fare, slightly more so than the average place I suppose; I'd say it's above Chelino's, or my recent Ted's experiences. The decor is very cookie cutter and what you would expect of what I'm assuming is a franchise restaurant. I had the quesadillas. When you consider the complimentary chips, tortillas, and side items included with the decent-sized entree, it's no surprise that I was left feeling sluggish, yet satisfied. Also, the complimentary dessert (sopapillas) at the end is a nice touch. Seriously, if you are not full after your Alfredo's experience, something tells me you probably have some really bad knees. From having to carry your fat self around everywhere. Sea cow out!

I visited on March 15, 2010 with my grandma. We were seated quickly and our waiter, John (the one with musical tats) brought us hot chips, flour tortillas, delicious queso, and really nice & sweet corn relish and salsa. We were seated at table 8, right next to the tortilla making window - they make them on site! I really liked the decor - there's a very pretty fountain (that I didn't get a picture of) in the waiting area and it smells nice inside. I had the chicken tortilla soup + 1 cheese enchilada. I have never ordered an enchilada in my life (only eat homemade) and this one was pretty good. John forgot a taco and and enchilada on my grandma's meal but he brought them out really quickly. I liked that he refilled my water about a zillion times. I wish we could have gotten a refill on our queso though. I would for sure go back - best Mexican food I've had in Yukon.

Loved the unlimited chips salsa queso and tortillas. Margarita was large, but too sweet. Food was a 4 of 5. Worth the trip. Skeeter

Went here tonight for the first time...The food was delicious. Portions are very large. Free chips/salsa/queso/flour totillas. Also free sopapillas for dessert. Margaritas were huge..strong and only $6.50. Atmosphere is very american/mexican tex mex...They could work on that. They could also change the music to spanish themed instead of country. It was a little weird listening to Kenny Chesney as I ate my chile relleno. The menu is large but unoriginal. They should have more signature dishes. The prices are very reasonable...($11.99 for my chile relleno and $10.99 for mexican street tacos)..considering all the freebies and 2 sides included with most dishes.

Alfredo's catered an event for the national student council convention I attended and they were fantastic! The food was delicious, they had tons of options for us, and their service was wonderful. If I lived in OKC, I would definitely check out the restaurant after this experience!

Super delicioso! I really love Alfredos, the corn salsa is out of this world and the complimentary sopa piaz are a great treat to finish your meal. I find as far as mexican restaurants in the area go, I choose Alfredo's most times and the service is great.

Alfredo's is passable Tex-Mex. Nothing like authentic by any means. The spices are tailored to midwestern sensibilities, so most dishes are lacking in spice and the portion sizes are bordering on hilariously huge. Be sure to ask for the spicier salsa, which is actually pretty good. Service is pleasant and attentive.

Chips are light and salsa is very tasty. No complaint with food quality. I enjoyed the chimichanga. The restaurant just does not have atmosphere of a typical Mexican restaurant.

If you like tex mex, then you should come eat here. Both of the salsas they serve are delicious. They have a great variety of tacos and all of them are superb. Everything I have tried here has been delicious. I have eaten many many times. This place is always busy and they are great at service. The wait time is never as long as they quote you and they move people in and out without giving off a feeling of being rushed. Keep up the great work Alfredo's.

TL;DR: food was great, prices are average, the service was quite excellent. The wife and I received a flyer in the mail with a few coupons for Alfredo's. I had never been, and had no real desire to try them out but the wife said they were good and suggested we use one of the coupons. So we looked at the coupons, 50% off tacos, $7.13 off your order, double fajita's for the price of a single. (Seriously, my one sadness is our waitress didn't know why the coupon was for $7.13) Anyway... We decided since our 3 yr old nibbles on chips and queso and refuses to eat, and we're not looking to spend a fortune, that the double fajita's should suffice for the lot of us. So we used said coupon, which went off without a hitch. We ordered the "double-combo" fajitas, beef and chicken combo (could have had shrimp too, but I detest shrimp), we all had waters, and our total was only like $15.23 + tip. (keep in mind that would be the price of a SINGLE combo fajita plate with water, but we had the coupon). SWEET MOTHER OF GLUTTONY... They brought out 2 plates with beans and rice and cheese. Two side plates of pico, guac, and sour cream. And a heaping sizzling skillet of fajita. I'll be honest: I don't know how much food was actually there, but I ate 3 pretty fat fajita's, my wife ate 2 fat fajitas, and my daughter nibbled on a single piece of chicken and constantly asked to go to the bathroom (which is her signature move at any restaurant, because she clearly hates when my wife gets to eat hot food). After all that: we still have what feels like 2-3lbs of fajita. We filled a full-size togo box about half-way with fajita, and the other half with rice/bean leftovers. I was seriously impressed. The water tasted clean, unlike the occasional restaurant that serves dish-water flavored drinks, going cheap on the drink doesn't make you gag here. The chips were good, not overly salted, not too thick nor too thin. The salsa was standard, nothing impressive but good. The queso was also standard, less chunky than some places, but that's good in my book. The complimentary flour tortillas were hot, soft, appeared and tasted like they were made 20 seconds before we received them. The chicken was juicy and well seasoned. The steak was also juicy and well seasoned. Both had an adequate amount of what I call "fajita-char." You know that amazingly tasty slightly burnt seeming seasoned line/side that lets you know it was fresh-flamed meat while it teases your tongue with it's yum? Yeah: that stuff. Quite an excellent meal all together. Sour cream was good, so was the quac. I don't care for pico, but it seemed adequate. I was pleased that the condiments did NOT cost extra, NOR were they placed on a pointless bed of shredded lettuce. (I hate that) Nope, not here. All the condiments were simply placed on a side-plate with minimal cross-contamination through touching. At the end they offered us complimentary sopapillas which were delicious but hard to eat with our bellies already ripping at the seam from fajita. Definitely think my wife and I could easily share a SINGLE fajita platter without a problem. Sadly there is a $5 fee for sharing (the standard for mexican restaurants with complimentary chips/salsa/queso/tortillas), but I am pleased to say they did NOT charge us that for sharing the double (which seems designed to be shared) or even for our 3 yr old (which is nice considering she rarely eats anything when we go out to eat, opting instead to eat later when we get home.)

I stopped here for lunch. The service was outstanding. The meals come with cheese dip and a sopapilla for dessert. I ordered the fajita taco salad with chicken and the meat was not greasy, nor was the rice. They did not have any horchata but not many restaurants serve this.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
