It is the best place to eat lunch in Woodward (and breakfast, due to her coffee!) I love the atmosphere, the food and Rita. This cafe is truly "big city, in a little town" and I LOVE it!

I've been wanting to try Cafe Eden for what seems like forever. Every time I come home to Woodward, I tell myself I will, but I never follow through. This last time I made good on my promise and took my sister here for lunch on her birthday. I was a little surprised at how small the restaurant was, but it made total sense as everything is prepared fresh by what looked like one person. We both ordered the special- chicken salad- and we were both blown away. It was the best chicken salad we'd ever had. Cafe Eden is a little hometown favorite now and I'll make a point to stop in every time I'm in town!

Chicken Philly sandwich was good, however fries were greasy, limp and cold!

$8 sandwiches. $4.25 lattes. Great for Seattle. This is woodward. Wtf. Super gorgeous amazing waitress with a tight t shirt you can see it all sister. But no clue people take sugar or sweetener with coffee. Very packed. I guess people got money to burn. Thank god I was not in hurray. They are so damn slow.

This cafe is no longer at the location took us. It is a couple blocks west at 1018 Main Street. So far so good except I had to ask for cream for my coffee then I had to ask for a spoon. I'm having a "Croque Madame" for something different (they have Croque Monsieur). It's got fried egg in with the ham and thick slice of cheddar cheese. Yummmm! My husband got the chicken salad sandwich and Mediterranean soup. He says yum also. Coffee is delicious as reported. The cream provided was heavy cream, not half and half (which would have been fine, as long as I'm not handed artificial creamer). So I'll have to walk extra miles this week!

Two years since my original review (see below), Cafe Eden is still going strong! On a 104 degree day, I stopped by for a refreshing cup of the best iced coffee for 100+ miles, and a wonderful Greek Salad. I indeed look forward to dining at Cafe Eden on my visits to Woodward. Original review, 8/8/10: The rugged high plains of northwest Oklahoma, from a culinary standpoint, can aptly be described as "meat and potatoes central". In these here parts, while you'd have no trouble getting your hands on some of the nation's best steaks from grass-fed ranch-raised cattle, it's not exactly a locale known for lighter, more subtle delicacies. This is why our first visit, yesterday, to a wonderful new spot on Woodward's Main Street was such a pleasant surprise. Cafe Eden is a small Parisian-style bistro offering exceptional coffee and espresso beverages (which is a rarity for this region of the world that has yet to be invaded by Starbucks). The lunch menu features a small but well-rounded variety of genuinely gourmet salads and sandwiches. The salads are composed of substantial portions of the freshest field greens and veggies (way surpassing my expectations in a region where a salad rarely consists of anything but iceberg lettuce and dried-out waffle-cut carrots). The Greek salad was accompanied by a nice feta and an orange-tinged dressing. My panini was wonderful, featuring fresh mozzarella and basil. My only criticism is that the sandwich came with a side of potato chips. A more creative accompaniment to such a good panini would have made for a perfect lunch. A coffee fiend, such as myself, could not depart without giving Cafe Eden's affogado a try: a hot shot of espresso poured over French vanilla ice cream with a sliver of rich chocolate brownie. I'm fairly certain that you cannot get one of these anywhere else for about 150 miles in any direction. Cafe Eden is indeed a tempting addition to Woodward. Establishments of this fine quality will help revitalize and transform the town's beautiful historic Main Street back to its heyday glory. Whether a local or just passing through town, I urge that you give Cafe Eden a try.

Diamond in the rough!!! Chef Rita delivers the best food in town, the best place to hang out, and she's rad! Woodward otherwise is desolate wasteland where dreams go to die. But cafe Eden is an oasis that offers salvation, please check it out!

This cafe is an oasis of fresh spinach salads, carefully prepared sandwiches, and delectable homemade desserts in a town that is mostly a landscape of fried and meaty foods. Chef Rita takes incredible pride in her menu. The iced coffee is the best in town. The cafe is pleasant and friendly. We were so glad to stumble upon this cafe while in Woodward!
