Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I've been here before but it was years ago. I tried their pizza & I was asked about going there & getting a pizza over pasta. So, I went back & tried their pasta & I see why I was questioned. I'm pretty sure I remember their pizza but good but go ahead & add their pasta being good as well on the list. I got the Pasta L'Arrabbiata because of two things, Italian sausage & it being spicy! It was spicy enough & very fulfilling. They weren't stingy with the sausage. It goes well with the bread they give you before the dish comes out. The salad they bring out before the dish is pretty good too. I also ordered a Peach Bellini & theirs is very strong! Which isn't a problem, just comparing it to another Italian spot where I ordered the same drink. It's safe to say Tucci's was better.

The service was great but the food is terrible because it seems as though the chef is afraid to season anything. I chose stuffed mushrooms and calamari for an appetizer, both of which turned out to be disappointing. The calamari was tough like beef jerky and the stuffed mushrooms barely had any flavor. They brought out a side salad next and it was soaked with a vinaigrette (I was told) of some sort which, again, had no flavor so it could've been cooking oil for all I know. I chose the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken as my entree and I'm not exaggerating when I say I've had better Alfredo from Pizza Hut. The sauce was all but nonexistent and what little there was, it had no flavor. The pasta, believe it or not, isn't fresh but is out of a box. The one redeeming feature could've been the chicken, however, it hadn't been seasoned at all and it also was out of a can. I salted and peppered my entree liberally in an effort to save the dish but unfortunately, all the salt and pepper couldn't save this poor execution of an Italian dish. The best part about this establishment was the service, ice water, and focaccia bread and that isn't enough to ever make me come back.

Tuccis is the perfect date night spot! Our service was a little lacking, but the food made up for it 100%. We feasted on a $26 salad and pizza meal for two (or more than two if you don't love pizza as much as I do). I'm not usually one to rave about salads, but you all need to go check out their salad!! It was simple, but it wasn't just a boring old house salad. And it wasn't a classic Caesar salad so it was a nice change of pace. We ordered a "white pizza" with Alfredo sauce where the red sauce normally was. It was AMAZING! Lots of garlic, but I'm totally into that. This was a great, cheap, fancy spot for a Friday night date!

Thanks to Chad for making dinner special as usual for my wife and I this evening. We love the excellent service, food and beverages. We each had salmon dishes this time. One was grilled with pasta and the other was with Alfredo sauce. Both were delicious! Chad suggested sharing a sea salt caramel gelato for dessert and it too was great! We'll be back again soon!

Maybe it was an off night. My friend says this place is usually very good. I don't know what happened. It seemed like someone forgot to do something and my food was the one that took the beating of someones bad day. Ordered the chicken parmigiana and it said the chicken was sauteed and I had breaded chicken under cheese. Ok, maybe that was my fault in what I ordered.. I thought the food here would have been great, but my Chicken parmigiana came out dry as can be. I'm pretty sure i could have done a way better job at home. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. Looks like others had a better experience. Like I said it could have been an off day.

This is one of my favorite places in Tulsa in the heart of Cherry Street, which is a great district. Fantastic atmosphere and wonderful food. I always have a great meal.

I used to love this restaurant before their management went down the drain. We've tried it twice in the last couple of months and both times were a disaster. It's no wonder that they have all those empty tables out front. We went last Friday. After 45 minutes and not so much as an appetizer, I went and found our waiter and said we either had to order or leave. He acted imposed upon and said he would take our order soon. We watched several people leave in disgust, commenting loudly how long they had waited on the horrible service. Our food was barely passable. We've given up on Tucci's and won't be back. I clicked "NO" on "waiter service" below because, if that's service, they need to go back to waiter school!

Had dinner on a Saturday night. The food was okay, but the service was terrible. My girlfriend went to the bathroom and told me there was cockroaches and then when she came out of the bathroom the bartender started hitting on her. There are better Italian places in Tulsa. In fact there's a better place across the street from Tucci's.
(2)Natalie D.
The food is pretty good. They have one pasta special a day so it's pretty fast.

awww...Tucci's!! What delightful memories.!! Sitting here with my girls in college enjoying yummy pizzas and desserts....talking about boys and music and aspirations! What a delight... I love this place. It is dark, romantic, and has a nice patio out front that is so inviting. I adore this place. Wine selection is great, the staff is professional, and the menu is killer. If you are a Tulsa dweller and are looking for a spot to take that special someone...go to Tucci's. There is no place like it in Tulsa.

Love the ambiance at this place! Most of the entrees come with the most amazing salad that has a lemon/garlic dressing on it. You can also buy the dressing in bottles for salads at home-- one of my favorite things about the restaurant! They also have a nice patio outside that overlooks Cherry Street. If there's a wait inside, sitting at the bar to get a drink or even ordering food there is an option. The portion sizes on the pasta are perfect-- not too big and not too small. Would recommend to out of towners since I love eating local!!
(4)Karin M.
The dim, sultry interior with booths that make you feel secluded yet surrounded lay the foundation for an Italian dining experience that is uniquely Tucci's. I have had one dish only in my many trips to Tucci's because it is life changing. Pasta Aribiata. The fennel seed infused sausage, the spicy not quite thick enough to be a sauce over the delicately wonderful pasta makes my heart sing. Whether on a date or with family or friends there is a table suited for your needs and food for your palate. It is yum.
(5)Sam H.
I had a great time at Tucci's last night. The waiters and bartenders were very nice, and the ravioli Gorgonzola was awesome. The lemonata salad was one of the few I've had that I've actually enjoyed. I would eat here again without any hesitation. The bathroom was clean, too.
(5)Fred J.
The pizza for 2 is a great deal. The atmosphere & excellent service make this a good date location. The patio is fun. The food is good & reasonably priced.
(4)Jeff B.
I loved Tucci's when it first opened, about 10 years ago. It reminded me of a college town pizza place. Quiet, down to earth with good food made with quality ingredients. I went back for the first time in years with my wife. My how things have changed. Pretentious, rude, ignorant... did I mention rude? I can't recommend this in any way shape or form. The only way your going to get good service is if you're a hipster jackass who parties with the hipster jackass wait staff.
(1)Jack S.
The food is ok to good, a little over priced. Because it's trendy it's not a good place to go for a quiet meal. Your conversation will be drowned out by screeching 20 something girls who have had too much to drink. Thats been the case the last 3 times I've been there. Still not bad for Cherry St.
(2)Laken G.
The service is always terrible, but if you are not in a hurry and willing to wait, the food is great. I prefer the lunch menu over the dinner menu, The calzone is wonderful!
(4)B B.
Tucci has such a romantic vibe, I love the ambiance! Wait staff was pleasant although they messed up and gave us a pinot grigio instead of noir but it wasn't the end of the world and I didn't ask to have it changed. Also, we never got the foccacia it says they have with dinner on the menu. This is not a place to go for a quick date, we were there for like 2 and half hours. That was alright for this circumstance but dont expect quick service here. I had the gorgonzola and walnut ravioli and they were amazing! The best ravioli I have ever had! YUM, I can taste them now! Overall, great place for a romantic evening. :)

Great ambiance, average food. Ive been here many times since its a cherry street favorite among tulsans. This is a great date place with mood lighting and hip interior decorations. The wine selection and menu is good, but the food leaves you feeling unimpressed. With such a deck atmosphere, one would think the food would be off the chart. I guess no matter, they're always busy. I wouldn't ever use the establishment for a full meal in the future. For the price, the food doesn't compare to the other Italian restaurants nearby. Just swing by for a cocktail and desert or an appetizer and call it good. You will get points for the date setting without paying for half assed Italian.

Italian in Tulsa? This is it! Anything else is a compromise. The seasonings are spot-on, the portions though not ITALIAN-SIZED, aren't skimpy by any means. The fare is Italian Specialties; not the standard shuffle 'em out the door, Italian Restaurant offerings. [yet, they do have a pretty pricey Pizza if you're not the adventurous type. The decor is somewhat upscale, dim dining. Italian Pop Icons are on the walls, Sinatra, Loren, etc. The dress, though casual-tolerant, is usually a bit dressy [if you want to plan ahead.] The service is beyond outstanding. The waitstaff was prompt, courteous, friendly-without-presumption, orders were accurate, and swiftly delivered. We stumbled upon this establishment while lamenting the popular Irish Pub down the street had a 45 min wait... we got seated right away, then by the time we left, there was a line here... I would plan for reservations in future...but, would definitely wait as long as needed for a table here if I suddenly found myself in Tulsa!

Another Great Evening at Tuccis!!! Been eating there since they opened in the 90's!! Great Service from Paul. Food was perfect. My guests were delighted. Be sure to buy some of their homemade salad dressing!! Yummy!! We had Salads, Pizza & Pasta dishes. Very Happy. Water glasses were kept full. Was able to sit outside on a lovely night with friends. Tucci's Rocks!!

Perfect place for a romantic dinner or drinks. This is the second time we have been Tucci's and it is without a doubt one of our favorite restaurants and our favorite Italian restaurant. The first time we visited we sat on the patio. The service was great and the food was excellent. Most recently, 9/10/14, I took my wife there for our anniversary. I called the day before and spoke with the hostess, Sara, and asked about reservations. She told I didn't need them and she would be working that evening and would be sure and take care of us. She did not disappoint, we arrived and she sat us in a secluded, dark corner booth. She even offered to take my sports jacket, something you rarely see, and is a huge traditional courtesy, to me. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic dinner; corner booth, dim lights, candle light, and great music in the background. The experience didn't stop there either. Chad, the manager, was our server, and he is service personified. We were out for a great experience and we got it. We never felt rushed, never went without food or drink. His timing, recommendations, and conversations were perfect. The food was phenomenal! I had a filet with a spicy lemon sauce topped with shrimp and capers on a bed of linguine. My wife had the ravioli with a creamy vodka sauce. Truly some of the best service by everyone complemented by delicious food!

We love Tucci's! The lemonatta salad is delicious & the pizza is one of the best in Tulsa. I also love how quaint and romantic it is.
(5)LeNissa C.
This is hands down my favorite restaurant in Tulsa. Very small and quaint but the food is so fresh. Try the chicken Giorgio, lasagna, or fettuccini. The mob salad is huge and unlike any others in town. Complementary lemonata salad comes with entrees and it is delicious.
(5)Ray S.
The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The waiter was amazing and although I was with a couple of regular customers, he was very attentive to everyone at the table.

Went to Tucci's last Saturday night with our friends and their baby. We waited about 15 minutes before we got our table. When we sat down, we were given our beverages soon after. We had to wait a while before we were able to get our waiter to come over to take our order. He came back a few minutes later telling us they ran out of salad but were going to make another batch, so they gave us three of four salads and brought out our appetizer, the artichoke dip, a few minutes later. The artichoke dip was tasty, made out of cream cheese and Parmesan with artichoke (and some other stuff). The salad dressing was oily and lemony, too oily for me, but my husband said it was the best salad he had ever had. I split the Don Ho (Hawaiian) pizza with my friend. It was just pretty good, but nowhere near the best pizza I've had. My husband ordered the lasagna and said it was the best he had ever had; it's laced with vegetables. My husband says Tucci's is a five, I think it's just a 3.

Tucci's makes great Italian food (try the lunch slice of pizza with salad!) but I give it five stars for the overall experience. Nestled in the heart of the Cherry Street area of Tulsa, it's loaded with charm and overlooks more charm. The dining area has a dark and romantic indoor space and an outdoor patio space. Both are phenomenally lit with beautiful, well-conceived lighting. Sinatra et al. play in the background. The wait staff consists of beautiful and highly competent people dressed in serious black. If you go during warm weather, sit on the patio and watch the people go by. Go with your lover.
(5)Michael M.
Tucci's is a Tulsa favorite--but it's also easily the most overrated restaurant in midtown. I've had several of the pastas and pizzas, and they've been disappointing every time--and overpriced. You go to Tucci's to enjoy the patio and a glass of wine. Inside, the place is hip in design but poor in acoustics and lighting. If you're in the mood for better Italian, you have the option of Mary's across the street, or Ciao's on Brookside--both are far better in terms of value.

Pretty funny when I read the 1st review about Tucci's. I used to be a waitress 15 yrs ago.. ever since I've always tip well, even if the service is so-so. There has been only ONE time I didn't leave a tip, a few years back at Tucci's. My husband & I ate dinner at the bar and the service was aweful! I can't remember the details but I tell you what, for me to leave nothing it had to have been a nightmare! BUT... the food is great!! Atmosphere very nice, too.

This place is delicious. I've been here twice since April and both times were great. One time there was 10 of us and the other time was 3 of us, so I've seen a big assortment of appetizers and entrees that they have to offer. All were presented well and had really nice flavor. The service was good and the ambiance was nice, a little dark for my tastes but still nice. They have a great outdoor patio as well overlooking the popular Cherry St. Hard to comment on all of the different meals, but ravioli gorgonzola w walnuts and the calamari appetizer was great. Also the house salad you get with dinner has a fantastic lemon-something-or-other-vinegarette dressing. They also brought out focaccia bread w dipping oil to start and some complementary bruschetta that were delicious.

What a great atmosphere and outstanding food. We came on a Monday night. Had the L'arrabatia and the Scallopini. Food was wonderful and even got to meet the owner. Service was a little slow but that augmented rather than distracted from the cozy atmosphere.

If I had to pick one Italian joint to eat it in Tulsa, this would be it. I travel to Rhode Island, Massachusetts quite a bit and that is where I have had what I think is the most authentic Italian food in the US, but Tucci's is almost that good. My wife had the chicken scallopini and I had the chicken parm. Both were excellent! I have also had the chicken pasta in vodka sauce....almost ordered that again. We live in South BA and when I am on this side of town, Tucci's is where we stop for Italian. The wait staff know their stuff too. Love the quaintness, love the food, go to Tucci's if you want Italian. You won't be disappointed.
(5)Kendra M.
I love this place! This is where I had my first date with my boyfriend! It's a fantastic date spot! Small and charming!! Completely romantic! Best Italian restaurant in town!
(5)Lora C.
Simple lunch menu with all the Italian favorites. Stopped in at 11 AM - no wait. crowd had significantly grown by noon. We had pizza and salad. Pizza dough made in house and hand tossed. Huge thumbs up for the house salad. Lemonata dressing was phenomenal. Prices were affordable.
(5)Drew B.
I have been to Tucci's a few times and have not be disappointed yet. Not that I plan to either. The place is easy to find on the south side of Cherry/15th in Tulsa. We were seated after a short wait on a Friday. Good Italian beer, a glass of nice wine and some dinner salads and bread before the meal. Perfection so far. I ordered something that was not on the menu but recommended by the waiter. It was fantastic!!! All the food came out quickly and was delicious. The service was excellent, prices were great. The place was quaint and small and packed for a Friday. Beat the dinner rush and treat yourself to what I would consider the best Italian in Tulsa.
(5)Jen P.
I like this place. I love their patio, love their music (Billie Holiday, etc), their waitstaff is nice and remember you when you come back! Their ravioli is awesome!! I would pass on the seafood though - frozen, not very good. Definitely a great place to have a leisurely good dinner :)
(4)Brett B.
Deplorable service. The snotty wait staff approaches your table with with an air of laughable superiority (You are a waiter. Check the attitude, it just makes you look like an ass.) They actually pass judgement and decide if you're worthy enough for the restaurant. If not, they will not serve you. Then, to make it snigger out loud shocking, the food is only adequate at best. The one and only time I was there, I saw an elderly couple come in and sit for twenty minutes before they realized they weren't the type of clientele this business would serve. It was sad and embarrassing. I left the waiter a quarter. He probably wasn't smart enough to understand what it meant. I would eat out of a dumpster before I would even eat free food from this place. There is no room in such a great community as Tulsa for a business like this.
(1)Spika P.
Food was ok; the place was so loud people some people walked out. Service was slow, our waiter was really nice but it took an eternity to get his attention and we couldn't hear each other for a while so we actually got a good laugh at it. Had the Tucci's Picchi Pacchiu and salmon. Both were just ok.
(3)Caitlyn W.
The service here is hit or miss. The calamari is spicy and great but steer clear of the pizza with anchovies. I'm an anchovy fan, but this was a total yuck. If you go ask for Chad- he's wonderful and makes the most holy dirty Absolut martini.
(3)Christine M.
Tucci's is good if you have the proper expectations. It's very small so it's hard to get a large table. I love the outside deck looking out over Cherry Street. If you're inside, it's loud. I love the lemon cesear salad and pizza (2 people can split for $20). I've never been impressed with their pasta so I tend to stick to with the above. A friend really likes their salmon...
(3)zac c.
Nice atmosphere; good location; food is pretty good.
(4)Jill J.
Tucci's has been around a long time. Their outside deck seating on Cherry Street is neat, but it's definitely tough to get a table inside because it's so small. I usually sit at the bar and the service there is great. Pizzas are unique, and they have several good pasta selections such as Penne L'arrabiata (spicy), Lasagna, or Chicken Giorgio. Other reviewers complained about the table service. I've had good experiences overall but if you want the best service, get a place at the bar.
(4)Eric S.
WAY too expensive for what we got. Yes, the food was good. Yes, the service was good. No, the charges were not worth the quality of food and service. We had a table of seven, arrived on a Tuesday evening at 7, left by 8:23. Restaurant was near capacity. Four of us ate dinner (separate checks). Two drank just water and one had a soft drink. The following bill for my wife and I: Two Moretti beers ($4.00 each) Two R Stuart Big Fire pinot noir ($12.00 each) One Pollo Salad $10.00 One California Pie (pizza) $22.00 20% dinner gratuity $12.80 Subtotal $64.00 Tax $9.77 Total $86.57 When I talked to a manager named Lauren, she kind of hemmed and hawed about the price of food, drink and gratuity. By the way, a bottle of Big Fire retails between $18 and 20. Figuring that a glass had about 4 ounces at $12 per glass, that is quite a profit margin. I would have felt better about paying this much money at the Polo Grill or Michael Fusco's Riverside Grill Restaurant. Their per-glass prices and overall dinner prices merit the higher cost. Ta-ta, Tucci...I won't be eating there anytime soon - especially in this economy!
