Foods to Avoid at TGI Friday for Diabetics:
Sugar and sodium intake are crucial if you have diabetes. While the salads are the best option for you at TGI Friday, it is recommended to avoid the Pecan-Crusted Chicken Salad containing over 1000 calories and 1,650mg sodium. About TGI Friday
TGI Friday is a casual dining American restaurant chain founded in 1965. The term “TGI” is an acronym for Thank God It's and together the name of the restaurant is often announced as Thank God It's Friday. Over the years of its existence, the TV commercials and other advertisement streams have also twisted the phrase a bit and used it as Thank Goodness It's Friday. The restaurant serves alcoholic beverages primarily. However, they are also known for their low-carbohydrate and low-fat menu items to promote a healthy lifestyle. TGI Friday also offers gluten-free items on its menu for those with gluten intolerance.
Besides the cool name, TGI Friday also has an interesting background story of its origin. The founder of the restaurant Alan Stillman lived in a New York-based neighbourhood full of a young crowd, especially girls from the airline and fashion industry. He started the first TGI Friday restaurant in New York in the hope of meeting single women as there weren't any such public place for young men and women to meet. He invested $5000 on his own and borrowed another $5000 from his mother to buy a bar named The Good Tavern and renamed the premise to Thank God It's Friday, inspired from an expression during his time at Bucknell University.

what a pleasant surprise! this is better than the other TGIs I have visited. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. even thou he was the only waiter there serving bunch of ppl, he kept his energy and greeted all w/ smile. ribs + stake .. very very tasty! again the waiter just kept the ice team coming and we waited there for our flight ... some seats got power plugs!

Very dirty place, tables were sticky and the food still not better even 1,000 miles away. Service was great and drinks were awesome.
(3)David H.
Horrible kitchen service and just ok food. Took over 30 mins to get a burger. Don't stop and eat here!

It kills me, people who are at a job and just ooze disdain for it. Why even bother then? Had a bunch of time before my flight and wanted to get a bite and I worked at a Fridays in another life so it seemed logical. That and there's just not much at the Tulsa airport besides shirts making fun of cowtipping. Which is awesome. I can't even call her a server, the woman's name was Maria. Took forever to even bring me a menu after she told me to seat myself. Didn't refill my drink. Didn't check on me after the food was dropped. All that is bad enough and deserving of a one star review. But it was the way she didn't treat other people. I literally watched the bar top table next to mine have not one but two groups of guys sit down, wait for a few minutes, then leave. She never acknowledged them, never came over, never did anything. Another woman came in, wanted to get something before her plane boarded. When she told Maria when that was, the woman actually told her she didn't have time to order a sandwich and she should just leave. WTF man? The woman ended up ordering a salad, since those are fast to prepare, but had to wait several minutes for her credit card to be run. No discernible sense of urgency. of caring, nothing. The only thing that woman showed was disdain. Ironically, the food was good. Got a sandwich, Sicilian thing, really good, the dressing was great. I couldn't wait to polish that off and leave.

OK. I got in just under the wire - 5:55pm, they close at 6pm. Odd since there are numerous flights out after 6pm. Service was good. Food was OK. Price was high for what you receive - not surprising, given the typical airport markup. I'll skip it next time.
(3)Rebecca C.
The service is horrible. I told server I knew what I wanted she left for a while and still did not take it still until I said something. Wings were ok. Guy next to me said he waited 45 minutes for a salad and sandwich!
(2)Jon B.
Slowest service I've ever had in an airport! Longer than an off-airport location! We waited ten minutes for a menu, and about 45 minutes for our food. Was the food worth the wait? God no. Worst turkey burger I've ever had. So bad. So, so bad.
(1)Michelle F.
Worst service ever. I only blame management for not noticing. And to top it off it took so long to get the bill for one drink that I was forced to leave way too much money as it would have taken an eternity to get change. Maybe that is the typical program here to get tips. Very sad.
(1)Christopher H.
Yeeesh... Hate to leave a negative but after waiting 45 minutes for a stock appetizer I had to board my flight without food. Less than 15 people , many empty tables. Server apologized, said staff refuses to multi-task, one ticket at a time. Said manager won't respond to the issue. Woof.
(1)Renee C.
This is a nice spot :) drinks are pricey but you get your $ worth :)
(4)Frances A.
Horrible. Service was non existent. I sat at my table for over 10 minutes with no acknowledgement from the staff. Then they proceeded to get my order wrong. And finally the food was horrible.
(1)R J.
Good turkey burger, quick service, quiet and easy access via the Terminal in TUL. Waitstaff were quick, friendly, pleasant and attentive. Would gladly go back again if time permitted while at the TUL airport.
(4)Faye B.
Not too many options when you are in the airport so even though it is a chain we thought this would be the best option and my husband could order a drink. We knew we had a delay so we had time to enjoy a meal. It was a Monday around noon and it is a smaller airport so I guess it's not too busy, but the waitstaff was attentive and quick. We weren't that hungry so we got the mozzarella cheese sticks (although they were like those French toast sticks you can buy at Market Day) and they were gooey goodness. We also got the bbq chicken flatbread. Overall the flatbread was pretty tasty, but I did have a piece that was a bit over done and overly crunchy. I can overlook the one overly crunchy piece because it is a place to catch a drink and they were quick and speedy.
(4)Dean F.
If the food, service uninspired waitress, or speed could be worse I would be surprised.
(1)Greg S.
50 dollars for 6 drinks and they close at 7...in an airport where flights leave later than 7. That's about all you need to know.
(2)Big Daddy H.
Good thing there was a flight delay. I almost still didn't get my food. When it did get it, the food was overcooked and cold. Ugggh.
(1)James W.
Great service and quick too
(5)Rolando V.
Server was rude and disrespectful I thought TGIFridays had higher standards than that. Then again maybe that's why they are closing most of their locations bad management I guess.
(1)J D.
Stopped by for lunch while I waited for my flight back to Vegas. I ordered the Appetizer Sampler.....Potato Skins, Boneless Chicken Wings, and Mozzarella Cheese. To wash it down, I ordered a tall glass of Stella Artois. The food was typical TGI Fridays....not much to write home about. It was consistent with the food at their other locations. That's one of the advantages of eating at a chain....you know what you're going to get. The service was pretty good....the waitress made sure she asked me if I needed anything what seemed to be 100x....i was only there 1 hour! She did a good job. Will I return? Maybe.
(3)Danica C.
I've stopped at the bar here a couple times while waiting for American flights to board. The service is very...uninspired and inattentive to say the least. The bartender gets the job done pouring the beers but for $10 for something that normally costs around $5, I'd hope the service would be a little more friendly. I've never been asked if I wanted to see a menu, and once I order and get my drink it seems like the servers just ignore me indefinitely until I chase them down to tab out. Don't get me started on the waitresses. They all look miserable and angry and the lady manager I saw this last time seemed straight up hostile. Just glad I didn't want to order food. Not wretchedly bad but definitely significantly lower quality than most TGI Friday's experiences, in my opinion.
(2)Quyen N.
I never ever leave a bad review (this is actually my first). Ive been in the restaurant industry for more than 10 years, so I understand the ins-and-outs of restaurants on every level. Our server was a tad slow, but he was nice so I didn't mind just chilling. But we chilled for a whole hour, and when I made a joke about not having the salmon pond close to the airport he finally said "the salmon is coming". It came out over-seared. Mashed potatoes were cold. And spinach under-sautéed. I have never had a combination of slow service and terrible food at the same time. Makes me think "what are they doing back in the kitchen?"...there were like 4 other tables with one-tops.
(1)Pete M.
Chicken Noodle soup was lukewarm and tasted like it was Campbell's . Seated myself and waited 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me and asked about my order. Got my beer and water after 5 minutes. Soup after 10 minutes and still waiting for my salad ( 15 minutes).plaxe is less than half full so don't know what the problem is but if this were DFW TGIF, I'd be paying my bill and heading to my gate. But I have a 4 1/2 hr wait so what the hell. If you need to catch a flight in less than an hour, keep walking and find another restaurant!
(2)Mark B.
Complete joke. Sat at 1030am on a Thursday and didn't get out food till 1150. Came out prepared wrong and had to jump on my plane without eating. Way to represent your city.
(1)Ken M.
Disappointing. Sign said seat yourself. After 15 minutes, (in a fairly empty restaurant) no one came to my table. Asked a waitress (1 of 2 or 3 on shift not including the bartender) if I could get a drink and she said someone would be with me. 10 minutes later, no one approached the table and I had to go to the bar to order a drink.
