I've been here several times and the food is good. Not the best Mexican food but it will do for Tulsa. The reason I'm giving this review is because my wife and I were there just the other day and at the bar was a couple and the male seemed very young. There was all these drinks lined up on the bar and he was so drunk. Next thing you know he is throwing up on the floor and all the employees and managers just watched it happen. Did nothing, us and many more are in the bar area trying to eat being wafted by vomit. It was horrible and I had to get up, go to the front and tell them to come take care of this issue. They eventually wobbled out the door drunk beyond belief. The bartender should be held accountable.

I love this place. They have good margaritas and awesome queso. I have tried several dishes, but normally get the fajitas or the burrito de chile verde. It's an inexpensive restaurant with a friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this as a fun place to eat with friends or family.

Pretty much like every other Mexican restaurant around. The food is consistent and good. It's always nice to have fresh chips and good salsa. Service can be a hit or miss at Señor Tequila but who cares? It's cheap.

Señor Tequilas is an easy go to for college students. The food and drinks are cheap; but it shows. Buckets of chips with salsa are continually brought to the table for free. Meals are only about $6-$10 and can last for leftovers the next night. Unfortunately it's mostly oily processed food with a lot of added salt. The margaritas aren't bad, but sometimes are made with way too much tequila. The service is good; and they'll sing Feliz cumpleanos (happy birthday) as a mariachi band if you ask. Overall, I would only recommend this restaurant for my fellow broke students.

Great food. I normally enjoy my experience here, but buyer beware: if you go with a large party there is a solid chance of your order getting forgotten and being 15 minutes late. And with a clear stroke of brilliance, to appease my discomfort of having to watch my friends eat they decided to bring out an extra margarita... As my friends were leaving. Again, great food... Mediocre service at best.

Well worth this dining experience for Señor Taequla's Famous Cheese Dip which is a delightful white cheddar queso. If you are like me, you will understand how hard it is not be full with chips and queso upon the arrival of your entree. At first, I was convicted by this. At Senor Tequila's I EMBRACE it with a warm AYIYIYIYI! The menu is extensive in food and drink. The restaurant itself is beautifully authentically decorated to make you wish you remembered your sombrero. Again, happy queso-ing!

Yuck. Not good. Tortillas are probably the worst we've had. We will NOT be back. Shrimp was old and greasy. We had to send our daughter's dish back. Ridiculous.

Decided to give this place another try after over a year. Glad I did. Service was outstanding, definitely an improvement over the last visit. Friendly attentive staff and good Mexican food. Will return!

A bit glicky, but it will get you your fix.

Senor Taequila is always a fun place to eat. The staff is friendly and there is always fast service. We were also able to make a reservation for a party of 11. The chips and salsa are good and I hear the queso is great. They have a good selection of lunch specials for reasonable prices. We got our food pretty quick. I got a taco and enchilada, they were pretty ok....nothing to write home about. My coworker's food was cold, but she isn't one to complain, so she ate it. We were also seated near the back, so it was very loud. For a Mexican food near downtown, Senor Tequila is good. However, not sure it can compete with all the other great Mexican restaurants throughout Tulsa.

My friends aren't really a fan, but I love it! The queso is great every time I go. You can't go there without trying it! I love the fajita taco salad. It's plenty of food and always satisfies. Depending on the time, the service can be iffy. They are always friendly, but it can be too slow when there is no one there.

I used to really like this place but haven't been in for a awhile. Went on Sunday afternoon, it wasn't busy and the service was awful. The food is good but not worth the hassle of dealing with the server. We ordered fajitas and they were brought out without tortillas. Didn't get the tortillas for probably another 10 minutes while our food was getting cold. We ordered queso and had to ask repeatedly for the server to bring it out. Didn't get the queso until the rest of our party was finished eating. Really disappointing dining experience, we won't be back.

Went with a few co-workers on a weekday at lunch and found the service to be very attentive. From arrival to food being placed in front of us, it was only about 20 minutes. Our waiter was quick to take our orders and see to our needs. He checked on us often. The guacamole is some of the better blend I've had at a restaurant. There were several large chunks of avocado left in, which I love. Queso was also great. I had the chile relleno lunch. The beans and rice were good--standard fare. The chile relleno was good, but not as good as it could have been. The outer batter wasn't fried long enough, I'm thinking. It was a bit soggy instead of crispy (for lack of a better term). The chile relleno dish at Ricardo's over on 41st & I-44 is definitely better. That said, I believe Senor Tequila is a bit cheaper if I recall correctly. All said and done, I'd eat here again.

Señor Tequilas for some reason has a bad yelp wrap--and I disagree. I think they have good salsa, exceptional queso and homemade tortillas. They also have a mean fajitas and taco salad. Yeah the Margs could be slightly stronger and they could have a better patio but aside from those two things I think Señors is the place to go for Mexican in midtown. The waitstaff is always nice, I typically see the owner there, and the service is speedy!

Meh. I was really excited about Mexican food when moving to Tulsa. I guess I need to keep looking. The chips and salsa was okay and the services was good. We had to wait a bit for a table on a Saturday night but they brought us chips and salsa to the bar which was nice. Unfortunately the entrees were not great. Don't get me wrong, I finished mine, it just wasn't that good. No need to go back. Also, they had a weird ensemble singing old 80's/early 90's songs. Bizarre for a Mexican restaurant...

Ok a restaurant is what? It's ambiance, food presentation, food quality, and of course service This restaurant has none of those. They sat us right next to the door leading to the patio, there should be no table at this location at all, the table itself was too small to fit all of our orders of fajitas on. The soup that was ordered arrived after the flan we ordered. The meat in the fajitas was fatty, the severs ( many , not just one, very confusing who to ask for help) never asked us if we liked the food we received ( we did not) Plus the fajitas platter came with no cheese ( really?) . The food was cheap for a restaurant on brookside, but the taco bueno a mile down the street has far better food. I would advise them, to get ride of there kitchen, buy food from a mile down the street, and get a new staff and get ride of 30% of the tables so it's not so crowded.

The queso is great and they have really good carnitas.

Senor Tequilas is my family's favorite restaurant! We go there for birthdays, holidays, and pretty much every week. I always get the veggie fajitas. MMMMM!!!! And INFINITE CHIPS! And their queso is fundamentally the best queso in the world! Also, the service, well it is like going to see family. I mean we walk in the door and there is Jose Jose with his big smile and his kiss to my mom. Fantastic!

Full Disclosure: I have been going to Senor Tequila at least once a week since before they tore down the 51st Street location for the I-44 expansion. Some people who have reviewed Senor Tequila, or "Senor's" as we call it in my house, have mentioned they got a burrito or a combo plate or whatever. There is 1 thing I get here, and it's the Fajitas Sergio. Delicious fajitas with beef, chicken, and shrimp. Rolled up in their home made flour tortillas and covered in their amazing white queso (you have to order a side of queso). It's one of my favorite meals in Tulsa. As for everything else, the chips and salsa are good, The Super Fajita Nachos are also really good. If you must order a burrito I recommend the Burrito California. If you like spicy shrimp, the Camarones al Diabla are for you. The staff is courteous and the waiters pay attention to their tables, and know when you need a drink refill or more chips. Jose is the manager, and he is a good guy. It's my Friday night tradition. If you want good mexican food, then give them a try. *If you order anything other than what I have suggested, I can't guarantee it will be good. I know the above mentioned items are delicious.

Senors is one of my favorite places in Tulsa. The staff is great, the manager Jose is awesome, and the food is good. The fajitas Sergio are to die for. I also recommend getting the quesadillas with fajita vegetables instead of meat. If you're in the mood for spicy, try the camerones a la diabla.

Decent food, but the real reason this is a fun place to go is the huge margarita they serve! It comes in a novelty size glass, and has been coined "the panty dropper". Me and two of my girlfriends struggled to finish one.

What can I say about Senor Tequila... The staff is very friendly. I have no issue with them at all. The food wasn't terrible. It didn't look as good as it actually tasted so one star lost for presentation. I've had better though. Much better actually... but I come from California and Texas so I shouldn't have expected to much from Oklahoma Mexican food I guess. Another star gone there. Finally the place itself. While clean in overall appearance the acoustics were terrible. I felt like I needed ear plugs. Not only were the screaming kids louder than normal but ever time the staff dropped silverware or slammed down a dish it echoed throughout the place. Another star lost there. No one in our group will ever come back to Senor Tequila by their own suggestion/choice. It is unlikely I would agree to come back under any circumstances - short of it being an Elite Yelp Event in which ST is trying to redeem themselves to the Tulsa community. Sorry Senor but I was not at all impressed. One Star.

The service is always fast and friendly. The margaritas are good. The food isn't authentic Mexican but very tasty. Everyone in the whole place seems to be very hard workers and work as a team. I would say the worst part is parking. It's so busy that sometimes it's hard to find a spot to park. Their queso is good.

The first time I heard of Senor T's it was after my friends 21st birthday. She ordered the "Big Mama" margarita and claimed that it had 7 shots of tequila in it. It doesn't...Bummer. All of the margs are a little weak and taste a lot like sweet and sour. Despite the fact that the margaritas are a little unimpressive, they do give you a giant sombrero and make a big deal out of things if it is your birthday. So this is a good place to go for birthdays. The food is fine. I just don't think I've had anything spectacular yet. Some people love the food here though (I hear). The queso is pretty solid. But...I mean...I really love queso. Even if it is the most beautiful of days, you might not want to sit outside. I did once and it felt a little bit like jail. I would say that this is a great place for big groups and parties, but I don't know if I would choose to come here before any of the other great restaurants on Brookside.

I ordered the vegetarian combo #2 and there were a few piles of chicken on it. I pointed them out to the runner, and he just shrugged. I realize it was just a mistake, but it should be a really easy problem to avoid. It's not like I said, "please give me a chicken dinner, but hold the chicken." It was "vegetarian combo number two." That problem aside, the food itself was basic adequate mexican food, but it wasn't expensive, either. Sometimes, that's just the right thing, but I can't really see the point in going back here, at least not until I've tried any of the dozen or so similar places not too far from home.

Food was decent. Service was sad. We were there over an hour. Salsa and queso were excellent. Guacamole was undesirable. Saw several tables with empty glasses. Several tables, including ours, had to get their own silverware. Television in corner but not on. Server took forever to input order (I watched him).

I'd give this 2.5 if I could, but hey I round up. Their chips and salsa is okay. Right amount of spice in the hottest one. Tortillas were okay as long as they were hot, however once they cool down they are a hard and chewy mess. Their service was not too bad considering they were handing 12 people at once (my parents + cousins, uncles, and aunts). Only mistakes really made were forgetting a drink or two. Theres definitely better mexican food out there. Everyone seemed to order the Chimichanga plates around me, I decided to stay classic and get their Senor Tequila burrito. My uncle commented on how the chichangas seemed as though they were deep fried in reused oil, and of course I tried some and he was right. Now thats just gross. Rice, refried beans, and the chicken were bland. I safely ordered a side of pico de gallo to mask the blandness. Recently moved down to Tulsa, but theres definitely better out there. Message me if you have suggestions.

Though nothing to write home about, Senor Tequila left us with a full and satisfied tummy. We got the fish tacos which were delicious and the chicken burrito which was ok. Service was fantastic, I don't think my water got below 1/2 empty before it was filled. They kept the chips and salsa coming too even though the restaurant was packed. It's another one we would put on our re-visit list now that we are locals in the neighborhood.

I had an early dinner here recently. It was very good. The restaurant was not very crowded yet, so we were seated right away. Our food came quickly and was very good. The mango margaritas were also very good. The only negative comment I have is that the restaurant can be very loud, even when not crowded. I live in OKC, but next time I'm in Tulsa, I would definitely eat here again.

I have been to Señor Tequila several times and have been very pleased with the food every time. This is not a high end Mexican restaurant. They are delivering good fresh food at a good price. The Margs are OK. This place excels relative to some of the other Mexican places in Tulsa. I am happy to take the family here anytime and would even come with just my wife if we really wanted Mexican food. The only downside is that the wait staff seems unfamiliar with English but with care you can communicate just fine. A good place.

Food was decent but easily the worst dining experience I've had in years. Asked 4 times for an appetizer-never got it! Poor service and got attitude when we complained. Don't waste your time!

Senor Tequila on Brookside has good atmosphere and good food. The bar area is nice although I can't really figure out why the bar is positioned so high. It makes you feel like a little kid sitting at the adult table. Anyway, their margaritas on the rocks are good but it's a pre-made mix so it's not the absolute best in the world. Good menu selection. My hands-down favorite is the fajita chicken taco salad, mainly because it doesn't involve any actual salad. The white queso that comes on the side is a perfect addition. Second favorite dish is the chili verde, which has chunks of tender pork slow cooked in green sauce. Some people don't like the salsa here. It's definitely different, much more of a smooth red sauce, very tomato-y. I like it. Senor Tequila is not your typical tex-mex fare, but very unique and interesting in its own way. Try it!

We recently met 3 friends at Senor T's for Margaritas and dinner. We had planned to sit outside but it would have been impossible for 5 of us to sit around one table so we opted for the bar. The bar was roomy with very nice lighting. And that's the extent of anything positive I can say. The frozen Margaritas were not very frozen and much, much too sweet. I could not taste any tequila in the mixture. The chips were good but the salsa was bland to say the least. No flavor of peppers or onions and was rather like dipping one's chip into smashed tomatoes. We ordered guacamole for an appetizer as we waited for our friends to arrive. The guacamole was okay but again, bland. It was nice that there were chunks of avocado in it. When our friends arrived, we had to ask the waiter 2 times for more chips and salsa. As this was early Sunday evening and we were the only diners in the bar, I'm not certain why our service was so poor. My spouse and I split the "famous" Senor Tequila's Fajitas. The flour tortillas were soggy and greasy. The fajita mix had 3 shrimp, huge chunks of flavorless chicken and stringy beef. The chorizo was completely missing. Served with the meal were the standard rice and beans. I've had rice and beans that were as good from a frozen Mexican dinner. As the meal came with only 2 tablespoons of pico de gallo, I asked for more. It never came and at this point I just wanted to leave. We had food left over but did not bother to waste the container to take it home. What a disappointing experience. Senor T, you need to look closely at your Brookside location management. They are giving you a bad name.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
