My wife and I love this place. The service is probably the best service that I have had anywhere and the food is so good. If you can't decide just get a steak and you won't be disappointed. The surf and turf is also wonderful but be ready to fork over the money. My wife got the roasted chicken (or something like that) one time. It was a half chicken and the flavor was spot on. I am positive that I have absolutely nothing bad to sat about this place.

I had a bad experience in this restaurant. The service was terrible. The waiter did not pay attention to the table and we had to wait was wine that was ordered and not brought until after we had eaten part of thev meal and glasses were emptied and not filled for long periods of time. They then charged 23 percent tip for poor service. No restaurant has ever charged more than 20%.The food was good but over priced and I own a wine shop and the wine was marked up 4 times.Crazy.

Their steaks are the best in town! They have a great wine list and there is always some one there to help you out with your selection. There is also a quaint bar with great booths. You can have the bar menu, or the full menu in the bar or the dining room. So if you want the experience, but no the high bill you can do that!!!! I love it! The tomato bisque is the best ever. Have it with Robert's Romaine salad.

Since I used to work here (as a busboy mind you not a server) I know for a fact that the food here is prepared by some of the best chefs in the region. The atmosphere is wonderful and the service is (usually) impeccable! The food is superb and is, in my opinion, THE Best in Tulsa.

Really solid option for fine dining in Tulsa. I have eaten here dozens of times over the years and they have been able to maintain some pretty solid consistency. I think the current chef here now a couple of years. My last visit was very enjoyable. It was a business dinner with some partners from Dallas. They were impressed with the meal and the service. We had some appetizers and all had steak. Service was polite and pretty professional (if you eat out a lot in Tulsa, you find that most restaurants, even the higher end ones, have a waitstaff that are pretty young. You don't get the old school been there done that types except for the Summit). I think the latest chef likes to put a little more spicy zip to his stuff than predecessors, which is fun. My only complaint is everything can be a little too salty, especially the soups. The wine list is very deep, probably the biggest in Tulsa. So if you want to do the first growth vertical tasting, you could actually do it here. That being said, it is too steep. I am most impressed with wine lists that are 2x (with the occasional 1.5x) that have a lot of options in the $50 - $125 range. Unfortunately their list is kind of weak on the bargain wines (I just don't agree with their choices) and very thin in this middle area. So, you end up taking 30 minutes to order, trying to decide between the $180 mid level California known quantity, or the lesser options that are available by the glass. Finally, I have never received great guidance from the waitstaff on the wines. Probably has to do with the age of the servers, not sure. Actually have been directed to good labels but really bad vintages, etc... So, if you want to have a steep and deep wine list, they need to get a seasoned veteran there to guide you to the right bottle. Please don't let my wine rant scare you away from this place. It would be a solid option in a much larger market. LIke the food. The atmosphere is old school, very quiet. It is a place where you can dress up and have quite a fine evening. BTW, their pasta dishes can be quite good. Pretty sure the hand make a lot of their pasta. Have done the tasting menu and the experience was, just ok.

We wanted to try the Polo Grill for some time and being it was lunch time today was the perfect day. We were both disappointed with our meals. We didn't have anything very elaborate, a BLT & a hamburger. The BLT wasn't on toast, pretty typical for a BLT, the side of fruit was unimaginative, just a couple slices of melon and some grapes. My hamburger was ordered medium but came past well done. And most disappointing, in a nice, classic type of restaurant, were the French fries. They were made from frozen pre cut potatoes. I really like fresh cut in the restaurant fries, which made this experience even more disappointing.

Came here for a business dinner. Amuse bouche was non-other than a beef-based bite, which was actually light. Pork chop was fantastic.. juicy, yet flavorful and perfectly cooked all around. Filet was reportedly overdone (not rare enough), but the 14oz NY Strip was apparently the best ever. Even the pasta was a cut above. Although we ordered a la carte, the menu does have a chef's tasting , which is somewhat rare for a steak house. I'm sure if these dishes are executed like our dinners, that menu would be worth it. Beer selection is quite good, as is the wine list. Probably a top 2 steakhouse in Tulsa. 4 stars for the flavorful pork chop, 1 off for the not-bloody enough filet.

Service was on point. The lunch salad was delicious. The gazpacho was flavorful w a tiny kick. I would go back for dinner. The lighting is too dark.

I never paid attention to their menu to the point that I knew they had brunch. If there's brunch, I'm all for it. My only thing with high end places, I worry about portions. I ordered their Grand Marnier French Toast. 2 nicely sized slices of bread that's smothered in rum anglaise. It was really sweet, but a good sweet. Also drizzled in strawberry, topped off with a grilled orange. It didn't need any syrup whatsoever. It came with 2 slices of bacon as well, you can never mess up bacon, if you do, you need help.

I've been going to Polo Grill for years - since the late 1980's when I was in high school. I live in California now and upon return to Tulsa to visit family I usually take my family to lunch there. This time, the service was atrocious. What's going on here? Service used to be so professional. It was disjointed and slow at best. Despite making reservations days in advance for 6, the six of us were crammed into a table for 4-5 in the middle of the floor. My two guests from California were clearly surprised to get so "close" to my family members they had only briefly met before. My lunch entree was no special request, straight off the menu (fried catfish) and was completely wrong (I was brought chicken fried steak). It was not corrected until the other guests had virtually finished their meals. One of my guests from California clearly asked for "no potatoes" on her beef tenderloin. Her plate arrived containing potatoes. Pretty simple requests that went unhonored and unnoticed. In fact, the server didn't even offer to remedy the situation. The restaurant was filled with old ladies that our server chatted up and even sang to. We barely received passing glances. We ordered a $50+/- bottle of wine and were never asked if we wanted another bottle. In the past we had looked forward to a long lunch with at least a second bottle of wine. Not this time. Finally, it took several requests before our dirty plates were removed and to-go boxes were brought to the table. Next time we will head down the street to Lucky's or Palace Cafe on 15th for our Tulsa lunch tradition. No Thank you.

My favorite fancy restaurant in Tulsa. 1. Start with the calamari and lobster bisque 2. You can't go wrong with any dish; but the fillet is amazing 3. Great bartenders and wine selection 4. GET DESERT--forget the diet and do it.

Great restaurant for private dining events. I cam in with a group of about 15 during the lunch our and could no have been happier. The Private Dining Director Jody, not only met, but exceeded our expectations. We used the fixed menu which let us be in and out in about an hour. There was not a single plate left with food on it, and the overall reception was positive by all who attended.

Wow. What an amazing restaurant. This was our second time dining here and it was exemplary both times. The service is outstanding and the atmosphere is traditional, but romantic. We were celebrating our anniversary which evidently required stuffing ourselves miserable. We started by sharing a wedge salad. We probably could have split it with another two or three people; it was enormous. For our entree, I had the Seafood Pavarotti. It was delicious. It was simply prepared so you could really focus on the shrimp and scallops, which were perfectly cooked. My Husband had a steak with grits instead of the potatoes that were served with it. He hates grits, so I was surprised by that selection, but he loved them as they were prepared. They were coarser than grits are usually prepared and they had a rich cheesy flavor. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. And then we had dessert, of course. We had the house baked fudge. I'm pretty sure the heavens opened and I heard angels singing. It was so amazing. It was rich and we were stuffed, but the chocolate was smooth with a strong flavor. Ice cream was served with it which was really a must with it. It's a very nice restaurant, and the prices reflect that, but you also get what you pay for. We will definitely be back, though it will be another special occasion.

3/5 Stars for this well-known Tulsa favorite. Upon entering the place it has a very nice rustic feel to it- Enchanting. Turn the corner and a beautiful bar greets you with private booths all around. A very romantic and private setting for a lovely meal. Once you get past this point it seems a touch dated. Not terrible but the atmosphere changes enough to notice. This part reminded me of a restaurant you would find in a hotel. The servers were very kind and helpful but not polished. **Disclaimer we only had interaction with 4 servers, 3 of them were not what you would expect at this level of eatery.** The status is most likely why you would come here. If you have flown in a plane recently you most likely saw the awards this dining establishment has won in the magazines found in your "seat back". Or upon entering the front doors they are posted along the wall. These are not without merit the place is good. Just not what I expected. It seemed most were regulars and folks celebrating a special event. The Food: The food had very little to improve upon. Bacon Wrapped Lime Shrimp. My wife and I devoured these in a matter of moments and used the complimentary bread to soak up the remaining sauce. Blue cheese salads and romaine house salad were simple but very good. Salmon Tamale and Frenched Chicken for the entrees. The salmon was prepared well and the grits were some of the better I have had. I did not understand the tamale part of this dish it just seemed like salmon and grits to me. None-the-less, it was yummy. My lovely wife enjoyed the chicken, it was prepared "frenched" and was accompanied with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Both meals were gone in moments. The Food Was Worth It. Dessert and Coffee: Pumpkin Bread Pudding + Local Coffee. BEST PART OF THE EXPERIENCE. Servers 3/5 Food 3.5/5 Experience3/5

I came here with a large party for an etiquette class and the staff did a great job accommodating us. They were great with bringing the courses after we'd discussed the etiquette for that particular course. Besides that, the food was wonderful. We had roasted tomato soup and Caesar salad to start, and then a few entrees to choose from on a select menu. I had the salmon, which came with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Then we finished with house-baked fudge and vanilla ice cream. The fudge was more of a brownie consistency to me, but I've never had freshly baked fudge so I'm used to something more chilled. It was still delicious and went great with the ice cream. I am usually not a big tomato fan, but I think Polo Grill has turned me on to tomato soup... it was great. I love love love salmon, and this did not disappoint and went really well with the potatoes. This place has a great atmosphere and great food to boot. I would definitely come back if I was looking for a nice meal in Tulsa.

Polo Grill Wine Dinners I've been eating at the Polo Grill since I was a small child. It has been a longtime family favorite, and the recent wine dinners created by Chef Justin Donaldson have reminded me why. Most recently I attended the Bevan Cellars dinner. Russell Bevan brought some fantastic wines which are very limited in availability, and Chef did not disappoint with his pairings. Upcoming events can be found at pologrill.com

I had the prime rib traditional.....excellent. I was underdressed but did not feel out of place. The restaurant may need some improved lighting as you walk to the table. Staff was very nice.

Love this place. Other white tablecloth steak places in town but this is my favorite. So comfortable. Suit for dinner or polo shirt and khaki's at the bar area. Staff is great and such a great range in food prices to fit most occasions. $11 burger and fries to $$$ surf and turf. And no one rolls their eyes when I ask for blue cheese olives in my martini.

After my NYE experience, I was contacted immediately by the Polo Grill management and they expressed genuine concern regarding our evening. Since then, they have absolutely hit the mark on service recovery. I was most impressed by the fact that they offered no excuses, nor tried to deflect the problem. Michael, the GM and the Executive Chef accepted full responsibility on behalf of the establishment, offered an appropriate solution and I believe our experience will be significantly different on our next visit, whether that be personal or professional. Thank you Polo Grill for your concern and responsiveness, we will be in soon.

This place is very fancy! I went in jeans and a jacket...I sure did feel out of place. But the chairs are super comfortable and the food was pretty good. This is the place to go if you want a very romantic setting and want want to dress up. And if you don't mind spending a lot of money on food.

Took my parents here for a Christmas gift dinner. The place was nice inside and not too loud. We were seated next to a couple that was more interested in each others lips that they were their food. As long as we couldn't hear it I was fine with it. Had some drinks, ordered some red wine, cheese and bread all that jazz while waiting for our entrees. I ordered an NY Strip steak. When it arrived, I was amazed, it was a huge piece of meat. Maybe it was to be trashed soon and that's why it was a special. Boy was I wrong. This was one of the best steaks I have ever had, anywhere. It was TOP NOTCH. It also was cheaper than most higher end steak houses in town. Don't get me wrong, you can leave here with a tab well over $1K, but our dinner was totally reasonable for 4 people and a kid. This was including drinks for everyone AND a bottle of French red. I will most certainly be coming back here for special occasions and dinners in the future.

It was my wife and my first weekend in Tulsa so spur of the moment we decided to check out this place because the menu had steak. I used Open Table to get a reservation about 15 minutes in advance just in case. The positive of our experience were that the inside look and feel is pretty cool. Rustic and romantic. The other positive is the food was off the charts. Now I will admit that due to the quick decision we made to eat here, we were probably underdressed. However, that does not excuse our waiter from sharing drunken stories from the night before, the waiter at the table next to us bumping my wife's chair many times without an excuse me or I'm sorry. The grand finale was when our waiter actually flipped the check on our table as he went to serve some people who were just seated. We are staying in Tulsa for the summer and definitely would have considered returning, but after the service we received there is a 0% chance of that happening.

How is it possible that this place is supposed to be one of the finest restaurants in Tulsa - and perhaps even all of Oklahoma. The food was good - as you would expect for this price point. But the service was pitiful. There is absolutely no way I'll be back. For starters, the waiter who served us all night was a kid. I know I'm getting older, but I'm still in my early forties. Not EVERYONE looks like a kid to me yet. This waiter could not possibly have been older than 20. There is simply no way. And aside from the fact that he had good manners, he had absolutely no skill required for the kind of service one expects at an establishment like this. Examples - (1) He brought us an assorted cheese plate for an appetizer and failed to tell us anything about the cheeses or their accompaniments. That's not how you service something like this. You tell the diners what the cheeses are, what they are intended to be paired with, etc. Nothing from this kid. He just set it on the table and walked away. (2) I had to ask him three separate times - after each course - for new utensils. If you take someone's fork or knife, you replace it. As soon as possible. The bottom line is this: I travel all over the country. I eat at some of the best - and some of the most basic - restaurants in cities everywhere. I'm not a food snob. If you look at the reviews I've posted, you'll see there's a very wide array of restaurants represented. But when I pay $48 for a steak and countless more for all of the other parts of the meal, one thing I expect is VERY professional service. This is a restaurant resting on its reputation and its laurels. Never a good thing. Do yourself a favor and eat at a WAY better restaurant in the same shopping area - The Stone Horse. Outstanding food and incredible service, every time I've eaten there.

From the phone call to make a reservation through desert the folks here could not have made us feel more welcome. The food was terrific from the bacon wrapped shrimp and course ground corn grits to the rack of lamb and home made fudge dessert, this is great find that we will surely return to next visit to Tulsa!

If you are looking for the best wine list in the state of Oklahoma, give Polo Grill a try. Tucked away in beautiful Utica Square, expect an excellent menu selection and outstanding service. This is a great place for a special event, meeting or group activity as well.
4 visits past three years. Once for Valentine's day, once for Restaurant Week, once for brunch (on a Groupon), once for dinner with friends last night. Last night had the filet, while wife had the stuffed chicken. The filet is served atop a bed of yukon gold potatoes and asparagus. Tasty. Nothing special. Service was just a tad slow but capable. Fried calamari starter was sublime. I must admit that the setting is quaint and romantic. Important-looking people dine here :-) Most conspicuous of P.G.'s challenges is in comparison to Tulsa's other top notch steakhouses: if you like a modern, noisy environment, Flemings is just across the way (highly recommended); if you prefer a stately, quiet dining experience, then Mahogany. For what it is, slightly overprices (steaks run $37 - 47 - 60; at the middle/ upper end, I'd rather the "prime" establishments noted) Never had a terrible experience. Likewise never had a great experience. Classic 3*.

My first time to Polo Grill for a friends birthday. We had the private room. Highly recommended for group dinners. The waitress gave us her full attention throughout the whole dinner. We started out with cheese bread. Very delicious if you aren't watching your weight. I had the chopped Caesar salad and finished with the salmon tamales. The salmon was great with perfectly seasoned broth. I'll definitely return!

I've been going to this place in its various iterations since I was about 5 years old (then, it was the Glen), when my grandmother had a shop nearby. It's a lovely place with a fantastic location. This, along with nostalgia, perhaps, has been its main attraction for me. My last visits have included lovely service. However, these last few visits have included a couple of dishes that I can only describe as, forgive me, gloppy. They've reminded me of a couple of (inexpensive) Chinese places I visited in NYC in the 90s. I'm not sure how this can be fixed. Perhaps these were "off" days. But neither I nor my dining companion were particularly happy with our food. In addition, I think the wine prices are a bit, well, out of control. One could have similar selections at one of the best restaurants in NYC for less--and the overhead here is really, really high. In any case, since this is supposed to be one of Tulsa's best restaurants, and one of its most expensive, the food really needs to be consistently better. I'm sure I'll still come by when I'm in town, but I just can't be sure I'll be happy when I do.
Probably one of the worst dining experiences in a long time. A restaurant that was once known as a Tulsa institution, has now sunk to the flailing Groupon pond. We picked Polo Grill as our New Years Eve dining destination, and were shocked how poor the food was. Like most restaurants, the New Years Eve price was hiked quite a bit, and the portions seemed to have shrunk quite a bit. Obviously, the Polo Grill seemed to set New Years Resolutions for their customers, because the dessert portions were embarrassingly small. The appetizer "compliments of the chef" tastes like something my garbage disposal regurgitated... Lastly, we were rushed through our dining experience like cattle at the slaughter... Which is probably why the portions were so small. Honestly, the only thing pleasant about my experience was the dining staff, who were incredibly knowledgeable and courteous.

Went to this restaurant with a couple of other judges during Pinto World Championship 2012--highly recommended Escargot interesting but good. Merlot, house suggestion average. Ordered filet mignon medium rare-here is the bite- arrived rare & cool in the middle-tough-when I cut into it, striations indicate sirloin cut as filet(work in meat production). Waiter was very polite, when I asked to speak w/chef or manager, he just sort of stared off---This restaurant would not make it in the Los Angeles or San Francisco market, despite trappings, dark aging furniture, amuse bouche(salsa on toast) & all---sad

I'm not certain I would only categorize it as a steakhouse. Fine dining is what I would call it. Went there last night for a special wine dinner and I was very happy to see that service and food levels are still amazingly high after all of these years. Very professional service. The food was fantastic, especially when you consider they were serving 50 - 60 people. I haven't tried the normal dinner service in a long time, but now I will. If it is as good as the wine dinner, then I am highly recommending the Polo Grill. Looks perfect for business or a special night out.

A focus on customer service and good food, that's what you'll get at the Polo Grill. Came here for a client dinner and we were not disappointed. I agree with Rod S., I am sure the steak is awesome but there is a little something for everyone. I had the salmon dish and a garden salad. The service was great, the food was the right size, had great flavor and was perfectly prepared. It's got a cute atmosphere and looked like a favorite spot for business dinners or special occasions. If I'm back in Tulsa, I'll head back here.

4-4 1/2 stars Great vibe, cool place. Very romantic, unfortunately I was with business associates so the romantic aspect was diminished. They were still nice company. Great service. All the selections we ordered were delicious. I had the Salmon Tamale because it was unique. My associates had the Filet and another Salmon selection. Excellent choices, they were all prepared perfectly. Excellent wine list covering all price ranges. This is a top rated desination for obvious reasons.

My spot of choice for any special occasion. Best service I have had anywhere in town, maybe anywhere period. Good wine list, great food. I have never left here dissatisfied. Odd fact worth mentioning is how good the calamari is here. Don't miss it!

You. Should. Be. ASHAMED. I have never been more ripped off by a high end restaurant in my entire life. Tonight I entertained a group of 10, including some important guests. Jamie from Polo Grill, is mentioned by name only so we know exactly who didn't reveal there would be a hidden surcharge for putting us in the private room we did not request in the first place, in the form of a massively trumped up gratuity. But before we get ahead of ourselves, the first problem is my steak. The "cowboy" chop, the most expensive ordered by anyone in the group at $67 was WAY overcooked. Medium-plus being generous on my medium-rare request. Because I was entertaining guests, I was not in a position to make a scene and send it back. In my mind this is an absolute deal breaker for a high end restaurant, particularly one that pretends to be a steakhouse. Stop trying to be a hero, chef, and just get a digital meat thermometer. Works like a charm... But I didn't feel ripped off just yet. Four apps, ten soups and salads, ten entrees, desserts and coffees...oh and FIVE BOTTLES of Silver Oak. You'd think there would be some appreciation or at least get the bill right. The check comes and there is a 16% gratuity added. Okay, no problem as I pass my AmEx over, because that is actually reasonable. But what comes back for me to sign is a bill that has been covertly changed to 23%. Yes 23% mandatory gratuity ON TOP OF THE WINE! You have got to be kidding me. Again, being in front of guests I played it cool hoping to take care of it after everyone else left. Disappointingly the manager, a short brunette whose name I cannot remember, refused to take the burnt steak off. She graciously (sic) reduced the gratuity to 20% from 23%, which being on top of the wine and bad food is still outrageous. What a joke. If you have money in your pocket to burn, take your business to Mahogany which is less than seven miles away and has one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. They also have Silver Oak if you are so inclined to have a glass with your perfect steak. And if you're not in the mood to drive, Flemings is literally in the same parking lot as Polo and experience has shown you will be treated significantly better. P.S. I really liked the stone ground grits that came with the steak, my coworker thought the chili/soup was the best he'd ever had, and most people really enjoyed their meals. But when you make the host feel like this, what does it matter?

Perhaps I should clarify... service at our table was Phenomenal!!! I did notice others in the restaurant were not receiving the same service... Perhaps our party lucked out. Restaurant ambiance was nice and the wine list was very nice. Price; I for one, definitely understand quality to value ratio. I have dined at fine dining establishments... 4-5 star places. I understand some places grow there own vegetables and herbs... That however doesn't explain some of the prices on the menu. That been said, I would more than likely not return to this establishment. Even though the service was great.

This is my favorite place to have a fancy dinner in Tulsa. I have only been once, but can't wait to go again. I had the chef's special and it was so good. I love wine, but never know what to pick and our waiter was helpful and friendly! Will definitely be back!

Nice place with excellent steaks. The decor is a bit tired and old school, it had a very crowded feel to it. Prices were VERY high; $37 for an 8 oz filet, mashed potatoes and a few spears of asparagus. Salads were of average quality. The steaks were very good, desserts, also. Service was only ok for place at this price point. Waiter was attentive, but not pushy (a good thing). Bar service was very slow. Out of the 6 steaks we ordered, 2 were not done correctly. The issue was fixed immediately without fuss. I've dined at some of the best restaurants in the world. This is not one of them. It seems to me, they're living off the reputation they created over many years in business. I won't go back, though. The value is not there.

I have eaten at the Polo Grill a few times but this was the absolute worst. The service was slow. Our seafood was overcooked and rubbery. We kept having to ask to have our drinks refilled. We didn't really get a chance to say anything about the overcooking because no one came back and asked us how we liked it. Pretty pathetic for such a high quality dining establishment. The other times I have visited were just fine, but after this experience I will not be back.

An old friend that I have been at before and not for years! This is the best place to dine in Tulsa bar none, and better than many of the "best" restaurants around the nation. I tried another of the nice restaurants in Tulsa and it wasn't nearly as good. I had the petite medallions cooked medium rare and they were perfect along with the asparagus and the sauce, just nothing to not be liked about this place.

I went to Polo Grill last night for Valentine's Day :). It was great, our server was on point and wonderfully polite. This is a very nice restaurant for Tulsa and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Our wine was wonderful and food great as well. I enjoyed a strawberry spinich salad, stuffed chicken with the best sauce yum and a tasty key lime slice of pie. Although it is pricy I felt like we got what we paid for and would definitely return for another special occassion :)

The Polo Grill is a nice place located in the Utica Square shopping center. The place is quite and intimate, I good place to take a date. The service is always excellent and the food is consistently superb. Prices are on the moderate to expensive side. Because it is located in a shopping center parking is usually not a problem. For starters I recommend trying the Portobello Mushroom appetizer. It is a roasted Portobello Mushroom, stuffed with escargot and topped with melted goat cheese. For an entree, I recommend the Filet. They coat their steaks in a demi glaze that is very flavorful. They come with mashed potatoes and asparagus on the side.

We went here for our anniversary last weekend. Seven years earlier, we had been there to celebrate our engagement. We live in NYC but were visiting my family in the Tulsa area. This is our absolutely favorite place to have steak, anywhere. For some reason, the steak in Tulsa tastes better than the steak in NYC, and the steak here is the best of all. This is definitely an expensive, special occassion restaurant, but the staff is very friendly, attentive, and they make you feel at home (not snobby like some special occassion restaurants). We had the tomato bisque to start, which tasted very fresh--not at all like Campbell's cream of tomato, if that makes sense. It was delicious. We then shared the cowboy ribeye steak--DEFINITELY enough there to share. Unlike many ribeyes, it was well marbled but not gristle-y. The jalapeno grits, asparagus, spinach, and sauteed mushrooms were all delicious as well. They brought us champagne for our anniverary on the house, which was extremely kind of them, and which we enjoyed immensely. For dessert we had the key lime pie and the home made fudge, both of which we adored. Thank you so much for making our anniversary so special!

We enjoyed our food and the experience so much the first night, we went back the next evening for more. However, there was one downer to that experience and it was the really, really bad attitude of the Sommelier. It ruined the evening for us before it ever got started. That being said... I'll speak to the first night. My husband had the rack of lamb and gives it 4.5 stars. I had the New York strip with mushrooms. It was truly unlike any NY strip I've ever had. I'm a filet girl all day long, but on the recommendation of our hotel concierge I ordered the NY. Positively delicious, cooked to perfection and the demi glaze was wonderful. The chopped caesar salad's flavors were well balanced and the mushrooms were yummy. The service was truly first class (excluding the previous mention). Thank-you to Jason, our waiter of the first evening. I also have to give some credit to Zack, the bartender who was working the second night. He did his very best to make up for the bad behavior of his co-worker. This is a must eat at restaurant if you are in Tulsa!

Great atmosphere. Amazing food. This is the restaurant you go to for a romantic date. It has that feel to it and the wait staff is just hands down. My husband and I always think Polo Grill when birthdays, valentines day or anniversaries role around.

We were a group of 10 and enjoyed the selection of dishes and wine. However, I was surprised by being charged a 23% (!) gratuity, which I have not encountered ANYWERE else in Tulsa restaurants. Everyone paid separately, so I really don't understand the reason for the high gratuity, especially considering that my glass of water stood empty and was not re-filled once during last hour of the meal.

I used to work here, and I have to tell you that Robert Merrifield is the snobbiest, rudest, greediest man ever. He is rude to the employees, and even rude to some customers. He talks about them behind their back, which is terrible, and he gets annoyed when customers complain, send steaks back, or anything for that matter. Customers don't know what goes on behind the scenes, and you don't want to. I couldn't work for someone who treats people this way, so I left. Ouida is a little nicer, however.

The Polo Grill is a fine restaurant with some of the best food in Tulsa, nice ambiance, but sometimes iffy service. I recently had the salmon tamale(I think) and it was great if for no other reason than I could taste the fish. Too many places in Tulsa try to hide the fish in the sauce. Honestly, from a business perspective, if this place had great service, it could not be in Tulsa. The prices are not unreasonable for the quality of the food, so they must have decided to do the best they can with inexperienced wait staff. We once ordered the tasting menu and it was a comedy of forks, knives and wine glasses. It was delicious but the server seemed confused. The wine list is excellent. The atmosphere quiet and subdued. The polo Grill is the perfect place in Tulsa for a quiet dinner with good food and good wine.

We had a private dinner for 4 in the Oaxley wine room. The service was impeccable. Of course, at 23% automatic gratuity, it better be! I had pre-arranged for our group to try the Pinot Noir private dinner menu which is a pre-set menu. Stephanie, the private events coordinator, was very pleasant to work with, and extremely flexible. I was able to substitute the salad choice and add another dessert choice. I really enjoyed my rack of lamb. The pistachio and mint sauce really complemented the lamb. My fiance had the 14 oz New York strip. Now THAT is a hunk of meat. Wowzers. It was okay. We think there was just too much of it. The mashed potatoes that was paired with the steak was really good! The favorites of the night were the lobster bisque and the house-baked fudge with ice cream. YUM-MEEE!

Excellent choice for top quality food and service. Just be sure to take your wallet.

(3)Gary M.

(4)Folsom P.

(4)Brittany S.

Wow. "Sysco Foods" trash for old people. Somebody needs to hire a chef with a creative capacity. Boring, bland and bad.

(5)Joel A.
If you are looking for the best wine list in the state of Oklahoma, give Polo Grill a try. Tucked away in beautiful Utica Square, expect an excellent menu selection and outstanding service. This is a great place for a special event, meeting or group activity as well.
(5)Jordan W.
I visited Polo Grill on one of my many treks to Tulsa from KC to see my dear friends Annie and Bizjack. I have been on a brunch kick for the last year so of course that's what I organized to do with my friends. Slowly but surely I want to see all the fine dining Utica Square has to offer and I'm very glad I decided on Polo Grill! I always make sure to note a place's décor and layout and I was very impressed with the upscale decorating, furniture, and navigation design of the restaurant. The tables and chairs were some of the most comfortable seating I've experienced at any restaurant! We had a very nice waitress who was courteous and unobtrusive. I ordered pancakes with blueberry topping which was delicious and enjoyed a well-priced Amstel light ($4 I think?). The pace of the meal was perfect thanks to the staff, and I felt comfortable as a table of twenty-somethings even though the majority of the patronage present was middle-aged or older. It is now official: I will probably start shopping and dining exclusively in midtown instead of out south whenever I visit Green Country (unless forced to go to Woodland Hills by family haha).

Classic 3*.
(3)Jared B.

(3)Vivian C.
The only way we could afford Polo Grill was to eat during restaurant week; however, the bill was still pretty hefty. During restaurant week, you are able to choose from a fixed three course menu limited to three selections for the appetizer and entree and one selection for the dessert. For my appetizer, I had the lobster bisque which I loved. I am a big fan of bisque so any chance I get, it's usually the choice that wins above all. For my entree, I chose the tenderloin petite medallions which came with mashed potatoes, sautéed vegetables and béarnaise sauce. It was absolutely delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked and the sauce was to die for. The New York style cheesecake tasted fine, but no different than what you would find at Cheesecake Factory. On the restaurant itself, it had a romantic ambiance with very dim mood lighting. Everyone was dressed very formally which included both the patrons and waitstaff. It was fun to get dressed up and go out for a very nice dinner, but be mindful that it will cost a lot.

(2)Rod S.
(5)Jaimie C.
(4)Christopher S.
(4)Scotty B.

(1)Arturo S.

YUM-MEEE!
