Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Pie Hole is not only among my favorite pizzerias to be found in Tulsa, but in all of my travels. Carry-out and by the slice dining are options at this local eatery. A medium sized pie may feed three adult-sized lunch portions of two slices each. My pick of pies? The supreme. Imagine an aromatic lightly crisped crust that holds the tasty tomato sauce along with the weight of fresh and generous toppings. Each large slice feature perfectly portioned meats, crunchy peppers, sautéed onions, and the highlight goes to the whole garlic cloves. Pie Hole is my comfort food when I return to Tulsa.

I'm visiting Tulsa and this place happened to be down the street from where I am staying. I had read that this place sells pizza by the slice, so I decided to stop by on the way home to pick up a slice or two. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of sausage pizza. The pizza is New York style. I usually like a thicker crust, but I enjoyed this pizza crust. It was crisp and not oily. The pepperoni was really good, but the sausage was just decent. The sausage did not adhere to the pizza as well as I would have wanted, but it was still decent. For only $2.50 for a pretty decently sized slice of pizza, I can't really complain, but I had to take one star off because the crust was burnt. :-(. Not the best pizza ever, but decently priced, and conveniently located for me.

Pizza should always be this good. It's a great spot to grab a slice and get some unique toppings. It's pretty quick, and multiple toppings didn't seem to slow them down very much. Great selection and the ease which you can customize your pizza really won me over. The only thing I could fault was that the pepperoni was a little too greasy.

Another day, another pizza spot. Tulsa is good for this, especially NY style. I'm always in this area & never recognized how close it was to me. But finally, I tried them out. I got the Peppereno, due to me being a pepperoni lover. It comes with jalapeños & mozzarella cheese as well. They weren't stingy with the pepperoni either, which is a plus of course. Their NY is slightly different from the other places I went to, not in a bad way. Theirs wasn't as thin, had some volume to it. I got the 12" which came with 6 slices, was well enough for me. The employees were nice & the wait on the pizza was a good 15 mins. I always order mine while getting to a place instead of ordering it over the phone, it just feels right. Also, I think the lady hooked me up because what I paid for, was cheaper than the menu price, but hey, I'm not complaining.

Piehole is the best pizza place in Tulsa. What puts this place at the top is the ability to add whole cloves of roasted garlic as a topping. There's not a specifically vegan option on the menu but, if one brings one's own vegan cheez, they'll throw it on the pie before running it through the oven. Even without though, the crust is great, the sauce is great and with the addition of the garlic, one is still looking at a great pie.

If you're into specialty/novelty pizza you'll enjoy this place. For the most part you can get any gourmet pizza served by the slice. I wasn't a huge fan of the crust, but I really enjoyed the Greek slice I had. The price is a steal for a the size of the slices and the amount of ingredients received. I think 2 slices ran me something like $3.50 each. It might have been a little more than that, but for what I got I was very satisfied with the price. I'd give the quality probably a B+.

The Pie Hole is a cool lil pizza spot. They serve a nice thin NYC type pizza. The crust is nice and crispy and the flavors are spot on. The place is clean and the service is prompt. This is definitely one of my favorite Tulsa restaraunts.

Great New York style pizza. Smells amazing right when you walk in the door. If you are craving pizza this is the place to go for good quality pizza without the crowd

Pizza was good but not memorable. We ordered ours to go and they were ready in a half hour or so. The interior was tiny but had a cool vibe. I would go again but would opt to try somewhere new first if I had the choice.

Just east of the Broken Arrow Freeway on 15th street/Cherry a very modest hole in the wall pizza shoppe with NY Style Pizza on it's window. Got the Classic and it was very good with LOTS of tasty vegetables and a fair amount of meat for about $19 bucks. Only complaint is they don't do double dough/thick crust Chicago style like I like. This pizza is fairly thin and flops over and spills over the plate...gimme some THICK dough 'cause it's all about the bread for me! As they say in San Francisco...every millimeter matters!

Good pizza; great decor. The artful painting on the exterior should be enough to make you interested. The phone rang off the hook for pick-ups and deliveries. Many of the customers were obvious regulars--including a worker at the nearby liquor store who came twice while I was there. This place is tiny. If there are multiple diners eating in, you will become very familiar with them. I was sandwiched between two tables of one family with kids going back and forth to get pizza from the opposite table. This could be an advantage if you have one of those non-descript looks. All said, I would still suggest dining in. That way, you can speak with the charming staff. It was a tag-team affair with each scurrying to the back to accomplish some work while another chatted with the customers out front. The staff is completely affable, and I am sure they would strive to accommodate special requests. The selections and toppings are varied enough that you can piece together the pie you want. But unlike some trendy spots, the options aren't ridiculous. The crust is crispy and chewy with some real bite. The sauce was a little mundane, but there are options. And, the cheese was just right.

This is without a doubt, my favorite pizza in Tulsa. It's always hot, always fresh, and always delicious. I have never had a bad meal at Pie Hole.
(5)Nikki P.
I am a pizza head and have been missing out on the deliciousness that the Pie Hole holds within! The pizza is great and so is the price!

Delicious New York style pizza in walking distance from my house? What more could a girl ask for?! Piehole is a great pick when you need a pizza fix in whole pie form or by the slice, with fantastic toppings and superb crust. Plus, with service in about 20 minutes, you'll never wait too long to satisfy that craving! The interior is on the small side, but there's usually a table available if you want to enjoy your slice on site with a fountain drink or perhaps a Throwback Pepsi in a can! Delivery is also an option, though I've never used it being so close. Seriously going to miss this place when we move to San Antonio...

Back when I worked downtown this was a great place to grab a slice for lunch or pickup a pie to bring home after work. Back then there was the occasion issue with consistency and long wait times, but overall it was great pizza. However, the last couple times, while it wasn't terrible, the pizza just wasn't as good as it used to be. Don't get me wrong, it was well prepared, but it seems like the sauce has changed and the overall taste just hasn't been as good. I would still recommend them on their "$10 Tuesday" deal or just grab a slice or two at lunch though.
(3)Bekah G.
Holy pepperoni is this place delicious! It's so small, quaint and easy to miss but whatever you do...don't! This place has been around awhile, and in the 3 years I've lived here it hasn't changed a bit and I am glad. There's only a few tables but I've never seen them super crowded. A slice is $2.50 and that comes with a topping. They make you a slice fresh so be prepared for a little wait but it's so worth it. I am yet to order a whole pizza to go or anything but I see it on the horizon. This is probably my favorite pizza in all of Tulsa. I am a huge fan of Andolinis too but this place has a more hole in the wall straight to your table kind of feel. The crust is so delicious, it's thin and packed with flavor, I still can't quite pinpoint what it is exactly that sets this one aside from the rest. If you haven't ventured here yet, do so on your next pizza outing, you won't be disappointed, guarantee it.

Best local Pizza in Tulsa. Sauce is great. Dough and crust are fantastic. The toppings are endless. Prices are reasonable for the fine quality. Miss being able to walk there when I lived on 15th and Delaware Pl. I've never eaten inside, its just too small. But if I was back in college I could see going their for a slice or two. Like the 4 season combo, the Magnia Carne and the Capri. This is the place that made me realize that salami and capers belong on pizza. Also, whole cloves of roasted garlic on their version of a "supreme". Awesome! Important things to note: 1)They Deliver 2)You can buy their dough so you can make your own pizza at home 3)$10 Tuesdays
(5)Kenneth F.
Very good pizza place. Thin NY crispy pizza. We had a half-and-half pepperoni and sorta supreme, cheese is nice and gooey. Very small dining room, only four or five tables. Not to busy very quaint. Their soda machine was out of Dr. Pepper at the time so that was a bummer.

I've been a fan since I first found the place. I think that others have notated it well, it's not fast food, it's pizza. As such, you need time for the pizza dough to bake properly. I usually forget that, but I just did my first phone order and it was so much easier! I usually just get a slice of pizza. I love the thin, NY style slices and just add a topping or two. Although, I recently tried the Calzone and a salad. Both were quite good. The Calzone was fantastic, the bread is so dang good. I could have gone with about 50% of the cheese, but I'm guessing most Calzone lovers would slap me for that statement. The salad was pretty dang good for a pizza joint. I got no frills and just enjoyed the lettuce with ranch and a couple veggies. Admittedly, the peppers were not my favorite. They would've been better on a pizza slice. I almost feel like they were sauteed prior to adding them to my salad. I will keep going here for a long time. I love the pizza and it's definitely worth it.

Pie Hole is a great place to go if you want some good, fairly priced food, without having to deal with crowds. Although it isn't my favorite pizza in Tulsa, I prefer to order Pie Hole sometimes if I know my favorite place is going to be jam-packed (which it is on the weekends). My favorite thing to get is the calzone. You can choose two toppings to go inside. It's enough for two people to split. I'm a big guy, and if I eat a whole one (which I've done before) I feel absolutely stuffed afterwards. I mostly use Pie Hole for take-out, because the inside is kind of small and it's not really in an area where there are other fun places to go before or afterwards, but occasionally I will go in for lunch on the weekends. The inside has four or five tables with cool retro furniture, and usually there are some posters for local art shows and concerts. It's a pretty cool vibe. LOCATION: Not a "go-to" destination. You would not want to go there on a weekend with a group of people. FOOD: The food is great. No complaints. No-frills pizza. PRICE: Very fair prices. SERVICE: Employees are nice. Not the speediest, so be prepared to wait about 45 minutes for your food to arrive if you order delivery.

I mostly do carryout and used to go there for lunch. It is a very small place and that may be part of the charm. For carryout, I almost always get the classic. Kind of a supreme with a ton of whole garlic. What sticks out for me is the detail of the chopped vegetables that are mixed in. If you love garlic, get the classic. Seems like on some certain day of the week, they have a special that makes it a great deal. Last week, they threw in a few pieces of their cheesey bread (don't know what they call it). Came with some marinara type sauce and that was really nice while I was setting up for eating the pizza. Wrong part of town for me, but definitely a go to place when I am in their neighborhood. I don't think they can sell liquor and that sized place wouldn't justify the expense of the license. One of the few restaurants in my cell phone.

Have eaten here on numerous occasion and the pie has been consistently good. It tastes fresh, not like what you get from a chain. Salami pizza anyone?--something you don't see that often. They also have a white pizza that has Alfredo sauce with Italian ham, sausage, capers, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts. Nice choice for family member who does not like red sauce. Me... I have a hard time deciding each visit but I consider it one of the best pizzas in town. I think the small, funky atmosphere makes it more interesting also...
(5)Greg D.
Seriously good pizza. It is thin NY style and is crispy awesomeness.
(5)Hannah C.
i always walk here and eat pizza and it is soooo good!! the crust is the best crust ever and this is my favorite pizza place. plus alot of times pawnstars is on the tv there and that is a fantastic show

Best slices in Tulsa....and i eat pizza all over the world and have been to the best places in Chicago and NYC and Pie Hole is the real deal.
(5)James G.
What can I say I love pizza! We ordered a calzone, pesto pizza, and pie hole original. I loved all of them. The calzone was different than any that I had ever had. The pesto was my first and I was very pleased with everything about it. And the pie hole original was very nice as well. Highly recommend.
(4)Sara L.
Kinda pretentious and ho-hum pizza place.
(2)Beau R.
Freaking cool Retro Pizza place. Order by the slice or order a whole pie. Choose your toppings. I recommend Chicken and Bacon. If you live in midtown this is regular stop.
(4)Rebecca F.
Pie Hole is awesome because you can custom order your slice. I prefer cheese, (boring, I know) and Jeff H. prefers close to everything on the menu. "Oh! I should've gotten ham, too..." - classic Jeff. I've always gotten delicious results from the standard cheese, and everything else I've ventured out on has been wonderful as well. Their supreme looks like it contains almost every fresh vegetable ever, as well as all the meats in the universe. It's a LOT of stuff. The garlic bread is covered in some kind of whole-garlic action, so the pro move here would be to stick with the pie. I mean, come on. If you're going to dine-in, be sure to go at a slightly off-peak time, as there are only a few tables inside and they go quickly. They have outdoor seating as well, if weather permits that kind of thing. Their delivery service is good, too, but I live close so take out works best for me and anyone else in the midtown area who isn't too lazy to pick up dinner.

Pie Hole has a big place in my heart, both because it is about two blocks from where I live and also because it is tiny in size. Oh, and the pizza is not bad either. *a-wink* They do $2.99 slices of whatever you could possibly want, and have pretty cheap drinks as well. They also make whole pies for between $10-15 depending on size and toppings. Tulsa has lots of independent pizza joints, but this one remains my favorite. Don't forget to smile at how cute the decor is, and make sure to raise an eyebrow at how Fox News is always on in there.
(4)Jill J.
Pie Hole is one my favorite midtown places for carry-out. Their pizzas have great ingredients and the crust is excellent. We usually get the Pie Hole Classic which has all the basic ingredients made even better by large chunks of roasted garlic, or Mangia Carne which is the meat lover's special, even has meatballs and gyro meat along with the basic pepperoni, canadian bacon and sausage. I also like the Greek salad. Lately we've been getting their calzones which are heavenly. Custom made with whatever ingredients you like. (I'm a fan of pepperoni, mushroom and spinach.) Lots of cheese inside, thick bready crust and red sauce on the side. It's a great place for quick carry-out!

I have given Pie Hole two chances to convince me that they deserved my money. On both occasions they failed. The fist visit was ruined by burnt pizza that was over priced. I did not complain since they had just opened. Looking back I should have though. I decided to give them another try a few weeks ago. I arrived around 1:30pm. I was one of two customers. I ordered two slices of pizza. The pizza lacked cheese and was once again burnt. Since I was running late for work, I let it go and just left. If you are looking for good pizza in Tulsa, avoid Pie Hole. They charge a premium for pizza that id sub-standard. Try Hideaway or Umberto's (in that order).
(1)Heather H.
We had a calzone and two pizzas. The Calzone was good, a bit different but tasty none the less. We had the pesto pizza and the pie hole original. The pesto pizza wasn't my favorite- not a thick enough pesto and not near enough goat cheese and would've been ten times better with a gorgonzola cheese instead of goat cheese. The pie hole original wasn't too original. It was good pizza but not the best.
(3)Olivia D.
Went here with my mother on a day trip to tulsa. We got the supreme or something similar. It really wasnt that great. Crust was alright... toppings were eh.. Just nothing to really put that was really good or bad. Small dining area. Honestly I cant really say anything good or really bad about it.. just eh.
(2)Andrea H.
I always order pick up, so I cannot attest to the ambiance of this small pizza shop, but they have great pizza. I often just order cheese or pepperoni because I want to be able to savor the red sauce. I have to say that their red sauce is the best I have tasted, you could serve it cold as a gazpacho on a hot summer's day... it is subtly sweet, spicy and tangy at the same time.
(5)Michael C.
One of the best places to get a takeout pie in midtown Tulsa. Always quick, service is friendly, dining room (though really small) is great. Huge selection of toppings and everything is affordable (especially compared to other options in the area). Pizza by the slice is great for lunch.
(4)Mike D.
Real good for the price, excellent flavor and ingredients.
(4)Lauren D.
No, no, no, no, no! Not very good at all! It tasted...weird. I don't know how to properly describe it, but you should definately pass.
(2)Brandon R.
Best pizza by the slice in Midtown. They've got pretty much any topping you could want and then some.
