This place is still just as good as the first time I went over a year ago. The bread, the meat, the cheese, it all works so well together, but my absolute favorite item on the menu is the waffle fries. They are perfectly crisped on the outside and soft on the inside and just the right amount of seasoning. The only thing that can make these any better is to dip them in their ranch dressing. They have the best ranch. This place is my guilty pleasure. When you crave something deep friend and/or doused in cheese, this is the place for you! Also, I hear they have salads, but who goes to a cheese steak joint for salad? Not this girl!

Great philly cheese steak! Offers waffle fries or tater tots. Has a Cheesesteak Challenge. How many can you eat in 2 hours? Record is 9!!

WOW!!! Yeah, I'm speechless. It was that good! I wanted to lick the white paper that my philly was wrapped in when I was done...but I refrained...maybe next time!!!

Stopped in for a late night bite to eat after a concert. We ordered chicken strips, buffalo wings and fries. Everything was delicious and served piping hot. Prices were reasonable & the restaurant was clean. Did not give 5 stars because drunken, belligerent guests were allowed to bring their antics into the restaurant. While I expect a rowdy crowd late night, they should not be allowed to disturb other patrons. I did not however, feel unsafe-- just terribly annoyed. This experience though, would not deter me from returning in the future.

Quick bite for a late night. Very calm atmosphere. Cheesesteak is juicy and loaded. Cheese quality could be a little better but overall it is satisfying.

Late night place to feed your face! Fun younger crowd after hours but open at other times. Great condiments for the sandwiches. Salad rocks as well. Fresh Marshals Tulsa brewed beer on tap. Used to be downtown, with a rae gae staff, some are still on board. You will love the atmosphere if young at heart, or just plain young. Lots of attractive party people in the scene.

I love me a good Philly cheesesteak. I got in to the whole cheesesteak craze while living in the Northeast. Phat Philly's is not quite traditional but boy are they good. I get the Phatter Philly, it's big! I prefer mine with just steak and cheese although I have had it with onions too. Prepare to make a mess because these cheesesteaks are messy but oh so good. You definitely have to pair your cheesesteak with waffle fries. One of my favorite things about Phat Philly's is that next to the drink machine they have a couple different kinds of condiments and the hot sauce is Franks Red Hot. I LOVE Franks and its hard to find at restaurants in the south and west. Franks is everywhere in the Northeast much like Tobasco or Louisiana Hot Sauce in the south. My wife likes the chicken philly with onions and mushrooms. I steal a bite of hers when I can and I would suggest it as well. The staff is nice and service is fairly quick. The restaurant is kept clean even into the very late hours that they are open on the weekends, this wasn't so for their original location. I'm so glad they reopened and at a bigger, cleaner location. I rate the food 5 stars but the reason I give an overall of 4 stars is because they have a weird stoner ambiance inside. I wouldn't really think cheesesteaks to be a stoner food but I guess it is that way because they are open so late for anyone who may have the munchies. When in the mood an excellent cheesesteak or just need a late night snack drop by Phat Philly's.

Not a real big fan of velveeta (daaaang...sorry - cheese whiz - and I still have no clue what that is LOL) but this is one of the better Philly sandwich shops in town. Piled with meat, steamy hot and just all around filing and good. :) If it's take-out, your sandwich might not make it to your house. They're really good. :)

I found this place looking for cheesesteaks on Yelp. Walked in to a Lion with dreads, Bob Marley on the wall and on the speakers. Score! As a girl who eats them with no bun (due to allergies) I can get picky! My first visit I had the Chicken Philly with Tots. YUM! Pipping hot, perfect grilled onions, melted cheese and fresh crispy tots! 5 stars! My second visit I went for the Grilled Steak Salad, no tomatoes with grilled onions instead of the raw red ones. Perfection with the hot steak and the blue cheese crumbles! They offer a range of dressings, I lightly spread a little balsamic vinaigrette and decided it was good enough without it! Will be going back to this place as a regular when I am in the area, LOVE IT!

The best cheese steak I have had here in Tulsa. . Steak, onions, peppers, and melted provolone. How can you go wrong? Cool atmosphere inside if you are a music fan. Check out the beam in the middle of the joint. The building used to be a guitar shop and has been graced by many a stars who were passing though T-Town.

Eh, not a great experience. The staff seemed like they couldn't care less about us. The steak was pretty tasty, but I wish they used slices of cheese or fresher cheese than just scooping it out of a big vat of premelted cheese.

I got just a Phat Philly's Cheesesteak combo with tater tots last week and it was really good. The tater tots were on the salty side but it balanced well with the sandwich so I give it an A plus!

Seriously great cheesesteak!!! My husband got the original, and I had the chicken cheesesteak. The cheese, peppers and onions on each were flavorful, fresh, and seriously well prepared. For me, the cheesesteaks got a 5. Beer selection was pretty solid as well! They had 1 local IPA on draft, and 3 others, and about a dozen bottles. For a place open Til 4AM (yip - not pm), it seemed like an awesome place for a casual dinner, or to finish your drinking night. Waffle fries and friendliness of the staff are what I would rate a 3. I told the guy we were from out of town and asked him for his favorites, and got ... "Our cheesesteaks are good." Well yeah ... I kinda figured that. I also asked for some condiment sides, and wasn't told that I get my own at the counter. Mind you, I'm okay getting my own, but I felt like kind of an idiot when our food came out and I asked for the sides again. The guy who dropped off our food rolled his eyes at me and went to get them. Umm, just tell me please, and I'll get them myself. And lose the attitude please! All in all, I'd definitely recommend this place for the food and fun atmosphere, but don't expect much happiness or anyone to be glad for your business.

Still just as good as it was at the old location..... Good ole fashioned CHEESESTEAKS... Just get one, and relax and have a Schlitz and a good sandwich... Delicious....

I was a big fan of the old Phat Philly's. The new one, while still tasting pretty much the same has lost some of the allure. Mostly it goes more expensive and less food. Face it, you don't come to a place called Phat Philly's to maintain you're sexy body. Old: 8" phillys. New: 7" phillys Old: Tater tots in a styrofoam container New: Tater tots in a styrofoam container, then in another cardboard container within that the tater tots are in. Felt like I was on pimp my food or something. "Look at this here! We heard you like containers, so we put a CONTAINER IN YOUR CONTAINER SO YOU CAN CONTAIN WHILE YOU CONTAIN!!!" Old: 8.25 for phat philly and tots. New: 10 bucks+ for a phat philly and tots. Food is still good, it's just paying more for less.

This place is absolutely wonderful. The Philly cheesesteak here is the best in Tulsa.

I was so hoping this place would be great. My secret love of cheesewiz was hoping that it would be! Although they don't openly say that's what they use. This place is a lot better than any other cheesesteak place in town. The meat was amazing and tender. The only complaint if any I had was I should of ordered extra cheese. Although the portion amount on the cheesesteak was just fine. I like that this place doesn't cook the onions and bell peppers down to nothing. The bun was great if it isn't made in house it has to be pretty fresh! Probably the best cheesesteaks in town!

Used to actually be phat. New ownership seems to think skimpy is phat. 10 bucks for a sandwich with no drink. I should be full.

As a newly (self) crowned philly connoisseur, Phat Philly's is my new go-to place in Tulsa for a steak sandwich. Not only is the food amazing, but the atmosphere is clean, casual, and open LATE on weekends. We split a 7" philly, order of wings, and waffle fries and everything was outstanding and deliciously messy. The sandwich was flavorful and authentic, and the 11" would have made a meal for both of us by itself. The wings were crisp, spicy, and well sauced, and the fries were great, especially with a sriracha/ranch mix that I concocted at the table. Definitely recommended for lunch, or after partaking in some beverages on Cherry St!

Update: I went here for my birthday back on 2-12. Drove from Springfield, MO because it is that freaking good!!!!!!! While I'm not always in or near Tulsa, I can say that when I am, you bet I'm stopping here!

I was a fan of the old Phat Philly's, despite the fact that you may have had to wait a long time for your sandwich, regardless of how busy it was. The new location is clean and spacious. They have beer now at a small bar area, but come about 1:55a.m. they start threatening to take drinks away. Sandwiches are big and messy, but most importantly delicious. They come with onions and peppers and cheez. Extras like mushrooms, real cheese, etc cost a bit more. A regular combo (sandwich, drink and fries), will set you back around $10. For late night food I'd choose phat phillys over whataburger. Open until 4am on Friday/Saturdays, but wish they had those hours on Thursday as well.

I love Philly cheese steaks and always try and find them where I go. This place is by far the best around and one the best I've had. Their homemade sauce is perfect on anything they serve. Will be going back for more.

I went on a weekend late night, and was thoroughly disappointed in the quality of food. It was incredibly bland and looked like wet dog food on a bun. Not what I had expected at all. The staff and environment were all very nice - just the food was horrible. A friend got the Fat Rabbit and it was only cold vegetables on a bun. Not toasted at all. The tater tots were really good! Wish I had only eaten those. Upping it to two stars only because of cleanliness and staff.

Apparently on my first review, I had the hours wrong. I only typed what the owner had told me the hours would be, but apparently they have changed them. The hours are now Monday-Thursday-10-3 & Friday and Saturday 10-3 and then midnight to 4am. Sorry for the mix-up...The sandwiches are great! Sorry for the confusion about the hours...Lisa

Good cheesesteaks and one of the few places in Tulsa for late-night food. This is as good as it gets for after-bar food and people watching.

Phat Philly's is the only place in Tulsa I would go for a Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. They used to be located in a tiny little building on the edge of downtown and we would only ever go on Fridays or Saturdays between the hours of midnight and 4am. That was an ecclectic experience to say the least. When they moved to their new location, they lost a little bit of the charm but I'd say it was a pretty big move up. The new place is open, clean, and definitely somewhere I would go during normal hours. The sandwiches are amazing. Even the smallest size is too much for me to eat by myself. You can get them plain or with peppers, onions, or egg (you must try the egg even if that sounds weird.) The cheese tots are also so amazing that we decided they put magic crack sprinkles on them. Foruntately, they are still open for late nights on the weekend but these sandwiches are great anytime.

Cheesy, amazing and so good every time. Phat Phillies always hits the spot for a great philly. These bad boys are messy and greasy but that's the point. With their special sauce condiments and ample cheese I never leave disappointed. A favorite is to mix it up and get white queso and jalapeños on a chicken philly. Pretty good if you are a fan of spicy. They also have great tater tots as well. They have a bar with a few beers on draft. It's a cool place to hang out and watch some sports while you chow down. This place is best as a recovery food! Many times my hangover has been soothed by a greasy philly and tots. I'm pretty sure I've warded off my fair share of hangovers too with a late night shield of trans fats and carbohydrates. Excellent for what it is, a hole in the wall serving up comfort food by the footlong.

Wow, pretty amazing. I've been to Philly numerous times and ate at a variety of places and no place comes close to taste as this one does. It's as if they found a way to marry the meat, veggies, and cheese together to create one item in your hoagie. Waffle fries were okay. Nothing fantastic. Buffalo wings were fantastic too. The sauce is part of the wings, not just lathered on top like other places. And my husband loved the soda from the fountain. He says some places get this part wrong, but the soda here was crisp and refreshing. Staff was great too. All around would come back again and again.

They consistently have the best waffle fries I have ever had. They are always hot and perfectly fried. The combo of seasoning make them out of this world. The cashiers have not been as "soulful" if that makes any sense, changing the vibe of the place. They are all still nice. Still love the philly, I haven't mastered eating one without making a mess. There is a sign on the register that said "Try our Reuben", will do next time! The little Vespa is gone ;-(.

A friend of mine and I make it a point to dine out on Monday nights and catch up with each other. He suggested Phat Philly's and having never been there I was questioning his choice. Let's just say I'm sold on it! The restaurant is open, clean, and there is plenty of space to move around the dining area. The service is great, fast, and friendly (your greeted when you walk in). The Philly Cheese steaks are fantastic! Served freshly made, hot gooey dripping cheesy beefy goodness! Great flavor and filling. Go, indulge, and be happy!

Pretty simple little spot where you can get a decent sandwich. I'm not particularly into Phillies, and I felt like they should improve their meat to cheese ratio (mine was more cheese than meat), but it was a solid offering nonetheless. Prices were just about right on the money for what you'd like to pay for a decent sandwich.

These Phillies are the bomb, we drive from the south side of Fort Smith to get them. Love'em and miss them.

Clean open space. Low maintenance. Friendly courteous staff. Great tasting product, i.e. Phat Philly's cheesesteak. Succulent steak bites with grilled green peppers (no onions as I have to speak to/with school children today) and melted cheese. Interaction of all 3 ingredients tickled and then satisfied my tastes buds. Couple each bite with the seasoned fries-one word-AWESOME! Quick turnaround once order placed. My 8" Phat Philly cheesesteak came wrapped tightly in heavy meat wrap paper. The wrapping kept the sandwich warm and acted as a plate for me then to use a fry to scoop up all drippings. Good to the last drop.

Being from California I can't comment on the authenticity of these sandwiches, but DAMN they're tasty! Really generous meat portion too. Waffle fries are a perfect addition. The place is hip with a Reggae theme (which was unexpected, but as I said I don't know Philly), spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly. There's even a bar! Great place. Eat here!

Phat Philly's sets the bar for cheesesteaks in my head. Granted, I've never been to Philly, but it doesn't matter. Whatever you order here, you will leave happy. The sandwiches are large, the fries are amazing and the love is clear. This is usually my first stop when I get off the plane!

It was awesome but I would suggest getting the Monterey Jack cheese instead of the cheddar cheese way better. The waffle fries were really good way better than the tater tot chilli cheese. But overall really good and clean restaurant.

I've been to Geno's and Pat's in Philly. This isn't them - but it's darn close and I didn't have to fly 6 hours to get it. The food came out fast, the atmosphere was nice, and the place was clean. The line was long, but they moved us along. I got the 11 inch and added bacon - it was amazing. I work right down the street now, and I'll eat here once a week. Truly an excellent lunch.

My son recommended this place so we met him there for lunch. The place is neat, clean, and attractive. We had cheesesteak and chicken sandwiches with fries. Kids had chicken nuggets and tots. We ordered at the counter, it didn't take long to fill our order and they delivered the food to the table. The food was very good and well-prepared. This is a good place for a quick lunch.

My husband and I have been going here since they were at the old scary location. They closed for a while and have made a triumphant return at this very nice new building. The food is simple and amazing. I love when someone makes your food as if it were for themselves. We get the Phats with peppers and onions and a side of fries almost every weekend. Very consistently delicious! They are open until 4 AM on Friday and Saturday so this is also a stop for people who have been out on the town. If you call in your order you they have in ready in about 10 minutes and you can just pick it up or you can eat there and enjoy the music. It's a great place and the employees are awesome. Try it out!

We met up with my extended family for a uncles birthday here. We were a large group, so I wasn't expecting quick service. However, these people were terrible. They managed to make 20 some odd cheesesteak sandwiches, 20 some odd sides, an order of hot wings and a salad before finishing 2 kids meals. First of all, they saw the children were young - all under 3, so there's not much 'waiting' when they're hungry. Yet still, they were very last to be fed. Second, the popcorn chicken was the cheap, SAMs club type, and by the time it came out, everyone was done eating and it was too hot to eat, so we ended up taking it home in a Togo box. If they had acted apologetic or even sorry, I and several others wouldn't have minded, or left a review like this. But not a single sorry was uttered from a single employee. We kept being told '5 minutes' and 'they're almost done'. Add in that the food was okay at best and definitely overpriced due to 'novelty', I don't think well be going back anytime soon. Also, the restaurant was empty majority of the time our party was there - at most, 6-7 other people there, not including employees.

I've been here before so I made a second trip before the NFL kicked-off. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak since I had the other kind the first time around. Both were good. Nothing special about them, just straight to the point, which is needed sometimes. I don't like onions so I went ahead & added bacon to the mix along with the peppers & Monterey Jack cheese. Melts in your mouth & is full of flavor. It's a nice spot to go to if you want to watch sports for sure.

Have never had anything bad here - but I only order one thing - The Philly Steak with WHIZ!!!! (And for those of you dissing whiz they do offer regular sliced cheese) but this place is always awesome. Just love it (and I am from the East Coast) Even though it looks like a sit down restaurant it is more of a fast food atmosphere when it comes to service, so I don't believe in taking any stars away for that. If you want something super quick don't go during lunch rush because they are packed and like anywhere else it will be awhile - they are making your food fresh and not in a microwave. Be patient, sit back, relax and enjoy the best cheese steak in Oklahoma, maybe in the tri-state area. EDIT: the last few times I have gone I noticed that they are not putting anywhere near the same amount of cheese (I am talking about whiz of course, it is all I will ever get) that they used to - I have to order extra cheese now to get the same amount as they used to put on there - and its disappointing because I usually forget because before it was never an issue . I hope they fix this but it wont stop me from going and it doesn't change my rating. Also, I am not a fan of the spices they use on their fries - way to salty. I try to remember to ask for them plain but usually forget that too (I normally don't order fries unless I am sharing - the sandwiches are filling enough)

I lived in Philly. I suppose that gives me some expertise. This place comes close ( no one can match the genuine bread though). A little greasy, but delicious. Fries rock and staff has awesome personality.

Love this place! Great food and atmosphere as well as open late! My kind of place, I've been here a couple times and forgot to check in. I've had the Phat Burger a couple times which was always super tasty and the chicken one was great as well. Fries are on point bringing me back to my sinful years hahaha meaning you need to get here asap!

The Philly Cheesesteaks from Phat Philly's are the best and most Philadelphia authentic in Tulsa. The meat is well seasoned, and onions a peppers are cooked to perfection. The thing that makes it authentic is the Cheeze Wiz. I see some people complaining about it, but that's what a real Philly sandwich has. Their tater tots are good, but their waffle fries are the better choice. Grab some ketchup and some ranch and you're in business. Here's a tip: (This is a life changing tip. Seriously.) Ask for an over easy egg on your sandwich. It takes it to a whole other level. It's become my new favorite thing. I have always found the service to be friendly and helpful. The girls who work the register will always answer your questions and provide suggestions if you don't know what to order (My advice: keep it simple and order the 7" Phat Cheesesteak). They have other things like a chicken Philly, salads, and hot wings, etc. But I go there for one thing. And it's the best of it's kind in Tulsa.

Every experience I have had here has been less enjoyable than the last. The food is decent, I have certainly had better cheesesteaks in Tulsa and elsewhere. The service, however, is horrible. After being told by the lady working the cash register we could order our food from the bar, we decided to skip the line. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes before being told by someone who finally appeared, that we could only order from the register. We did so, and went back to sit at the bar to order beer, the reason we sat there in the first place. After another 5 minutes of waiting, the we were informed they normally require ordering beer from the register also. Luckily, this guy decided to break this rule so we wouldnt have to get up again. Their beer selection is limited, and most are 1-3 dollars more than any other place in town (from dives to fancy restaurants). This experience has soured me to the place which is sad, because I liked the location, hours, and idea of Phat Phillys. Better management and services could go a long way here.

Good tasting cheesesteak and waffle fries, but the price is too high. $11 for an 11 inch cheesesteak. $2.50 extra to add a drink and fries. Also, they charge you $1 extra if you want provolone instead of cheddar cheese, thats kind of ridiculous IMO.

Phat philly's has reopened at 13th and peoria(southeast corner) and the steaks are as good as ever. The new store is easily twice the size of the old one and is much nicer and newer looking. Seating is much improved and they now have a bar area with a couple on tap and bottles and a tv or two. The only difference I noticed in the steaks was that the onions and bell peppers seemed to have been diced a little smaller than before. I kind of liked the big chunks they were before but it makes little difference to the final product. They have a few new menu items such as burgers that are served on the same hoagie rolls the steaks come on if I read it correctly(will have to try one of these), as well as a couple salads for when you bring your non-steak-loving(do such people really exist?) vegan girlfriend or whatever(seriously, you need to ditch her, ASAP, it just ain't natural). They just opened this week and don't have a sign up yet outside. I was informed the new hours are: Mon-thu:10am-10pm Fri-sat:10am-4am (it seems they won't be closing and then opening back up at 1am and closing again at 4am like before, which was kinda of a weird schedule) This is accurate to the best of my understanding. But They'll be closing early this weekend.

Phat Philly's is an incredible asset for those who like to party in the downtown area. They stay open late, and trust me- late is the best time to go. The cheesesteaks are really really good. The cheese is perfectly liquified. You'd be crazy not to get the cheese tator tots. There are two reasons to go to phat philly's at night: 1. Lunchtime is crazy. It took forever, even though they only serve two things. Plus it's really small, so seating can be awkward. 2. You can't eat these things and then return to doing your everyday tasks. It is imperative you take a hefty sleep after consuming a phat philly, and sleeping at your desk is embarrassing, even if no one notices.

I'm not really a cheesesteak fan but I must say I was converted on my first visit to Phat Philly's. Great sandwich and fun atmosphere.. I'll be back.

Phat Philly's is phantastic! Went for first time today. Atmosphere is perfect, friendly staff, and great food. I got the tots as a side and they were perfectly crispy to go with the sandwich which was a great balance of soft bread, creamy cheese, and flavorful filling. I'll definitely be back, with friends!

Went here with a friend of mine on his recommendation and it was fantastic would def try this place out...
(5)Drew B.
(4)James M.
Eh, not a great experience. The staff seemed like they couldn't care less about us. The steak was pretty tasty, but I wish they used slices of cheese or fresher cheese than just scooping it out of a big vat of premelted cheese.
(3)Andre G.
I got just a Phat Philly's Cheesesteak combo with tater tots last week and it was really good. The tater tots were on the salty side but it balanced well with the sandwich so I give it an A plus!
(4)Heather M.

(5)Jason H.
(2)Travis Q.
This place is absolutely wonderful. The Philly cheesesteak here is the best in Tulsa.
(4)Olivia D.
(4)Drew P.
Used to actually be phat. New ownership seems to think skimpy is phat. 10 bucks for a sandwich with no drink. I should be full.
(2)Guy H.
nom nom nom! Delicious cheesesteak and PBR, hard to complian.
(4)Maureen B.
(5)JJ S.
Update: I went here for my birthday back on 2-12. Drove from Springfield, MO because it is that freaking good!!!!!!! While I'm not always in or near Tulsa, I can say that when I am, you bet I'm stopping here!
(5)Zachary W.
(4)Mason R.
Open very late, Cheesesteak to the next level Good beer on offer
(4)Chris H.
You will have a very hard time finding a better cheesesteak in Tulsa! Their portions are out of this world and their food is fantastic.
(5)Arlon L.
I love Philly cheese steaks and always try and find them where I go. This place is by far the best around and one the best I've had. Their homemade sauce is perfect on anything they serve. Will be going back for more.
(5)Laurie B.
Love love the Philly Cheesesteak! Phat Phillys is a hit with everyone we take there! Nice and clean, super friendly service.
(5)Jessica S.
(2)lisa g.
(4)Jeff T.
They are coming back and I couldn't be happier. Absolutely the best cheese steak ever made.mperiod end of story!
(5)George Q.
Good cheesesteaks and one of the few places in Tulsa for late-night food. This is as good as it gets for after-bar food and people watching.
(4)Katie V.
(5)Ben W.
(5)Layla J.
(5)Donna H.

(5)Stephen W.
(4)Justin W.
These Phillies are the bomb, we drive from the south side of Fort Smith to get them. Love'em and miss them.
(5)Mark D.
(4)Bob A.
Eat here!
(4)Joey D.
(5)Glenn B.
It was awesome but I would suggest getting the Monterey Jack cheese instead of the cheddar cheese way better. The waffle fries were really good way better than the tater tot chilli cheese. But overall really good and clean restaurant.
(4)Richard R.
(5)Garen M.
(4)Val B.
Try it out!

These people do God's work.

(3)Derrick R.
Love this place. Good food, good service, and good hours. Best cheesesteak I have found in Tulsa.
(5)Heather P.

(4)Rachel W.
(5)Phillip S.
(5)Benjamin P.

Friday/Saturday 2:00 am + Taco Bell or Whataburger or Phat Philly's? Duh.
(5)Brittany S.
The food was not good at all. I liked the environment though.
(2)J T.
(3)Matt G.
(5)Rebecca F.
(3)Mark W.
I'm not really a cheesesteak fan but I must say I was converted on my first visit to Phat Philly's. Great sandwich and fun atmosphere.. I'll be back.
(4)Jeff J.
(4)Daniel F.
They just announced that they will be going out of business of Tuesday 9/14/10.
