Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Girl at the register is so rude. Walked in and said hi. She stared at me. Got close to the register and she pulled out her ear buds with a look of disgust. How dare me and my family walk in to eat. And then stared at me some more. When my family decided what we wanted to eat, my husband walked up to her and she wouldn't make eye contact. He said hi. She stared at him. Thanks mazzios for hiring the rudest person on earth. I always hope to receive a smile and a hello, how can I help you?

This review is strictly regarding the buffet. 3 stars for service, speed, and price. Went for a lunch buffet earlier this week. First time trying the buffet, and the first time trying Mazzios at all. Pros - friendly service. Good staff. Pizza brought out at a steady pace. A pretty good looking salad bar as well. Quickly seated. Fair price. Cons - the pizza I really only wanted to give 2.5 stars here because the pizza is so poor, but it's a 8$ pizza buffet so seriously what can you expect. The service is really quite good, and so is the salad bar and desert pizzas. Don't go here expecting great pizza in any way. Just lots of it. I'd say the pizza is on par with Reasors frozen (fill in your brand) pizza. I'm going to get takeout at least once before I totally write Mazzios off for the rest if my life. Although, I not optimistic.

Looking for a quick lunch while your downtown, then this is your place! The lunch buffet is always hot and kept filled. Mazzio's cuisine is pretty standard across their stores to you know what your getting when you walk into one. Despite the location, the crew keeps the place pretty clean and the parking is more than ample.

I love Mazzio's. Since they brought back the Kens's Pizza, I have not been able to find anything as delicious and reliable from a pizza chain. I like it thin crust with cheese (no need to complicate things with toppings). Only $10.50 for and extra large! That being said about Mazzio's all together, I also really like this location. It is right by the University of Tulsa, and caters to the midtown/downtown area so it can get really busy. For this reason, we usually get carryout here. This is the location I went to all growing up, till I went off to college, and I still go here every time I visit my parents in midtown and we want a pizza. I also recommend carryout because if you call your order in on the phone (they use a call center to distribute the phone orders) they are really nice and have plenty of time to tell you the specials and all of that.

This place get's pretty hectic at lunch time. People from all over downtown flock here during their lunch break for Mazzio's unlimited pizza and salad bar for only $6.00. Not a bad deal... right? Well, my first gripe about this place has to be about the pizza... or at least what they call this crunchy cardboard topped with cheese and other fixings. The pizza section is disappointing because of the taste and selection. The best slices are usually gone, and what's usually left are small slices with little to no toppings or rejected ones that have been sitting out there from the last batch. People would then wait there for the freshly baked ones to come out... and when it's out you better get ready to pounce because it's going to be gone right before the server is done cutting. Add that to the fact that this place gets crowded, a line is usually present too. I felt like I was a farm animal while waiting in line with the others as I held out my empty plate. As far as the quality and taste of the pizza I didn't like it. Some people really enjoy this stuff but it wasn't for me. I much rather pay $6 for two slices of good pizza and be full. This place was so busy the time I came that I also had to share my table with a group of strangers. Awkward... Overall I wouldn't come here again, even if it is only $6.

Mazzio's Pizza is ok. If you are feeding a large group of people, Mazzio's is the best choice in Tulsa. The pizza is not that great, but acceptable. I recommend the Greek Pizza.
