Definitely the best cheese pizza in town - their pepperoni is pretty good too, but my favorite is the cheese pizza. We usually get take out, so I can't really speak to the atmosphere. I've tried some of their pasta dishes before, and they're ok, but it's really all about the pizza here for me.

Excellent pizza! Great, chewy crust and perfect sauce! MMM! Get a large, you'll want leftovers...if you have any! Don't worry Mario's fans, they moved right across the street from their old location. Plus there is a location in Broken Arrow for anyone that lives closer to that area. =)

We like it! Good pizza, better calzones. Pasta is ok, but not great. Just wish it was on the north side of 44 so I didn't have to fight that construction traffic. Atmosphere is simple, but good. Huge painting of Manhattan still has the twin towers, might not go over in NYC, but I think it's a nice reminder.

Awesome awesome pizza! Very comparable to pizza I've had in NYC (Famous Ray's). Just thinking about it now makes my mouth water!!! The sauce is seasoned just right, the cheese...ahh the cheese and the crust - Out of this world. Crusty, tasty and just yummy. A large pepperoni is about $20, so its more than what you would pay for at local pizza chains, but so worth it. Best pizza I've had in Tulsa!

Prices are great, the owners and management are from NYC, and after eating these pizzas everyday, I have not once grown tired of it. Not to mention their new location in Tulsa at 51st and harvard is very nice and clean, definitely bigger than the original location across the street. Pizza is at its absolute best if say make it a little crispy, and you eat in the restaurant. And remember, true NYCers order plain cheese. They also have a good assortment of pastas if you aren't quite in the mood for a pie. Plus their cheesecake is A+ Just remember, if you want the best pizza get it in the restaurant and don't have it delivered. Give it time as well, an average pie takes 15minutes during normal business hours, remember patience is a virtue.

My kids wanted a pizza place for lunch so we thought we try something different. It's order at the counter and be seated. They offer; calzones, slices, pastas, salads and two sizes of pizza. The 'order by the slice' pizza is parbaked and waiting for an additional topping. The crust is crispy, thin and New York style floppy but a little TOO thin for me. The calzone is Mozzarella and ricotta filled with the homemade marinara sauce on the side. This was difficult to eat with way too much cheese inside. Only having the option of plastic forks didn't help either. Our total: three slices and a calzone was $18 plus tip. The bathrooms weren't clean and the place could use a good scrub down. The staff was friendly but not really sure I'll be back.

In the realm of pizza places in Tulsa where you can get pizza by the slice, this has to rank the lowest. I had high expectations and was disappointed in the quality of the ingredients. I had no problems with the crust or the sauce, just prefer other places better. Was sad that have canned mushrooms on the pizza. Also for quantity and size of the slice, a similar pizzeria up the street gives you better bang for your buck. Mario's does have more seating and the place is cleaner though.

Mario's is one of Tulsa's institutions in my opinion - from its start as a hole in the wall in a strip mall along 51st street to its new location in the shopping center across the street, they have been serving up New York style pizza for as long as I've lived in Tulsa (going on 20 years. Yikes!). There are actually two good NY style pizzerias in the area, but Mario's gets the nod as best in Tulsa due to them actually always being open during their posted business hours. It doesn't matter how great your product is if you aren't open to serve it! Mario's is great for grabbing a slice at lunch or getting a whole pizza to go for dinner. You can also dine in and get salads or calzones if you're not in a pizza mood. I am a huge NY style pizza lover, so I always go with pepperoni and onion pizza. There are several options for NY pizza in Tulsa, but you can't go wrong with a slice from Mario's!

Had lunch today at Mario's. I had the sausage roll which was very good. The lady at the register was very friendly and helpful. The cook was also friendly and in a great mood. Although it was busy with the normal lunch rush we got our food in ample amount of time to eat and get back to the office. We will definitely be back to Mario's.

NY Style Pizza. Pretty darn good. You can order up any slice and have any other toppings added to it. They will throw it in the over for a min and it's yours. I imagine the fresh out of the oven just baked pizza is way better than the stuff that's already prepared. Lunch is good though. Small little dining area just like a pizza shop should be, cliche NYC mural and all. That's a good thing.

Delicious pizza and authentic New York experience right here in Tulsa. You know you are in the right pizza place when the dough guy, artist, is spinning balls into crust airborn. No frozen anything here - its all homemade. I grew up in Chicago, my dad is from Greece (food lover), and I've spent much time in New York. I felt right at home from environment to taste. Seriously made me want to open up an authentic Tulsa Greek place.

Love Love Love their pizza. I eat here a couple of times a year and it is always good when I go. I don't get here as often as I like because I try not to eat a lot of pizza outside of work hours. But I will keep going back.

This place has a wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff. It's clean and has a fun menu! I'm a cheap-o and typically order a simple cheese pizza slice. It was a good deal- $2.25. My favorite place as of now is Umbertos, so I was interested to see if this place was as good or better. womp womp... no. The pizza wasn't bad, but it was sooooo thin. I know I know, NY pizza is supposed to be thin, but this was a bit too thin! Not filling enough, and it didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked. Everything else was perfect though. The pizza came out quick, the people were nice, the place was pretty... but the food is the biggest part for me! It wasn't bad... just not the best. Sure I'd come here again, but if Umbertos is open (it wasn't on Sunday) I'll be going there instead, even if it's 15 cents more. However! This place has more options, pastas and subs and whatnot... so if ya like a variety, this tops Umbertos.

First of all the address listed on Yelp is wrong. 3323 is their old address number. Now they are almost directly across the street at 3350 E 51st. I am from out of town and based on the reviews in Yelp I thought this sounded like a great place. However when I walked in at 4pm on Sunday and the place was empty I wondered if I had made a mistake. Anyway, I decided to take a chance and ordered a large Supreme pizza and about 15 minutes later it arrived at the table. I liked their pizza but it wasn't the best I have ever eaten. Noticed that they have lots of "Best of Tulsa" awards on the wall from 2000 to 2007. Now I wonder if maybe they aren't the place they used to be. In summary though, I must say that the pizza was very large for $18, and was way better than Pizza Hut and Papa John. The place was nice but not fancy and the people were friendly. Not a bad experience.

I can officially say this is my favorate pizza in the Tulsa area. After testing at least 6 other pizza joints, a local from New England told us about Mario's and we couldn't wait to check it out. It is exactly as she described it. It has a sturdy, chewy crust not flimsy like others. The sauce has great seasoning to it; the oregano lingers in your mouth. YUM! The locale is like any little strip mall, nothing spectacular but who cares when the pizza is this tasty. I went to the Broken Arrown location on the corner of Elm & 71st behind the Arby's.

I guess I had some high expectations after reading many reviews of this pizza place. All I can say is... if this is the best pizza in Tulsa I really feel bad for the pizza lovers there. I went on a Friday night at dinner time expecting a wait, to my surprise the place was almost empty. Most of the people that came in were getting pizza pies to go. Well I got a cheese slice and some garlic bread. The pizza was ok, it really reminded me of a slice of pizza from Sbarro, but the garlic bread was basically a toasted hoagie topped with a load of butter and chunks of garlic. I was kinda disappointed when I left. Go to Andolini's.

Where to start with Mario's. By far my favorite pizza place in the Tulsa area. It was introduced to me about 15 years ago by a friend from New York who loved the place as a reminder of home. I was hooked. Since then, I have introduced my wife and kids to the place and it is THE first place we think of when we think of pizza in Tulsa. Others have already talked about the pizza so I will make a case for the sausage roll. It's so great! I would explain it but am afraid I would not do it justice. Just try it if you like cheese, cheese, sausage, peppers and onions. And cheese! They moved across the street recently which made us sad. The new location is lacking something, perhaps it's just that it's new and we loved the old location. But, as someone else said, who cares about location with pizza this good.

Woah! This place can make a pizza like nobody's business. Their pizzas are consistently some of the best and while they look more akin to their chain store brethren, the ingredients are waaaay better and much more fresh. I also got the stuffed shell once. It's a misnomer for sure, as it comes with 2 huge pasta shells stuffed with ricotta cheese, bathed in red sauce and baked with a generous crust of Parmesan cheese on top. Even better than the pizza in my opinion.

I've visited this location twice at lunch with friends and both times I thought the pizza was decent, but not outstanding. On the first visit my friend found a hair in his pizza. Both times we've had issues with the speed of the service. This most recent time two of us had to wait till so long for our pizza slices that the other two members of our party had completed their meals. Myself and my friend won't be returning anytime soon, the food just doesn't outweigh the service issues.

Mario's is a Tulsa staple. I lived in NY for a while, and this pizza definitely is a contender. I haven't been to the new location, but I'm sure the pizza's the same. The owner can be kind of an ass, but the pizza is well worth it. The white pizza is the best I've ever had (thanks to the ricotta!), and the sausage isn't that crappy crumbled up stuff. I grew up on this pizza. Amazing.

I visited Mario's yesterday after reading a couple of other reviews for the place. I ordered a supreme pizza. The crust was chewy and delicious. Sauce was tasty and the toppings were good although I should have asked what was on a supreme before I ordered. I don't like olives on my pizza, but that was my fault for not asking. The guys working at the place were very friendly and it was cool watching them spin the dough and toss it in the air. I will definitely be visiting again.

Mario's the most authentic New York style pizzeria I've been to outside of Manhattan actually. It's hard to believe it is in Tulsa. Quality-wise the pizzas are very delicious if you get them fresh, or have a fresh slice. But if you get a reheated slice that is too old, it can come out dry and cardboard-y. Also if you want toppings added (like adding mushrooms to their existing pepperoni slice) they will do it for you--by dropping dry mushroom slices on top of a cooked slice of pizza, which is terrible. Go with a friend or two and order a whole pie custom the way you want it. For New York style pizza, huge diameter, thin chewy crust, giant pieces taht you have to fold in half to eat efficiently, it's hard to beat Mario's. (They used to be on the north side of 51st street in a tiny place. Now they are just across the street on the south side of 51st street in a somewhat larger place.)

Mario's moved locations recently, but it is still the best NY style pizza in Tulsa. Your best bet is to order an entire pizza, as others mentioned. The reheated slices are good, but not as good as a fresh pizza right out of the oven. In my opinion, the Italian sausage is the best. I have not tried the calzones or Sicilian style pizza, they are probably very good though. In short, if you want really good, NY pizza, this is your best bet in Tulsa.

We are big fans of pizza.. and new york pizza at that. As long time fans of Umbertos we thought we would take a leap of faith and try Mario's New york style pizzeria. We got the classic.. Medium Pepperoni. We figure if you can make that then you shouldnt be making pizza. Is it as good as Umbertos? Nope. Is it good for sure! Crust is fresh and chewy. Pepperoni has a nice spice. I do recommend if you order pizza from here not to order too many toppings. We feel that the crust wouldnt hold it. We would def recommend it to pizza lovers. It makes the top five so far for us in tulsa.

Mario's is a Tulsa classic for NY style pizza, and though I miss the quaint closet-sized ambiance of their old location, the new space across 51st street is actually quite nice. Their crust is perfect. It's hard to decide between pizza or calzone so give yourself a few chances to try both. It's a perfect place to run by for a slice on the way home from work in the evening, and great prices, too. Don't forget the cannoli for dessert.

Great pizza! Really good thin crust and they sell it by the slice if you don't want a whole pizza. I didn't try any pastas but the baked ziti looked really good and you get like a half a loaf of bread with it.
