Five stars because this really is as good as it gets. Juniper is the only upscale restaurant I've found in Tulsa with consistently excellent service. My impression is that the waiters have all been properly trained (as I was almost 20 years ago), which should be standard in a place like this, but is hard to find. Everything else is excellent, too: drinks, food, atmosphere... but the service really puts Juniper over the top. Not too hot... not too cold.... just right.

Really great meal with attentive service in a very pleasant setting. Bacon was excellent. Coffee was French pressed at the table and was so good.

Great place we stumbled upon. Their half price happy hour was an incredible upscale surprise. Highly recommend an infused cocktail. Order pork sliders and you will not be disappointed.

This is a farm to table establishment. Their menu changes depending on what is fresh. We had the spare ribs which were fantastic!! The service was wonderful as well. The wine selection was very impressive to our group as well.

Great food and a romantic atmosphere! Love their homemade infused vodkas as well, my husband and I sometimes just come in to have a few drinks at the bar!

Watch your bill like a hawk. I was double charged for an entree, which I noticed when I got home and they fixed. But the next night I went to another restaurant owned by the same restaurateur (Phryme) and the same EXACT thing happened. So it made me wonder if it was part of the business strategy. From a food standpoint, it was good, but as the two-star rating says, I've had better. The atmosphere was energetic, the service was extremely competent, I enjoyed my meal but left there knowing I didn't have to go there again. One more neg - they were out of a lot of things. That was a bummer.

Delicious food and drinks, with plenty of creative options.
Truly outstanding cuisine and the most professional, non-pretentious serving staff in Tulsa, OK .

Another masterpiece Justin! Tovalo, 624 Kitchen, Pryme...not sure if it was intentional but I do believe Tulsa has been challenged in the realm of Superb dining experiences! Tastefully decorated, romantic ambiance and perfection on a plate. Thanks for another sensational experience.

The taste and quality of the food is excellent and since this IS a martini bar the drinks are good and unique. The food menu is very limited and all of it is an eclectic combination of unique recipes, what they do is well executed but do not come here expecting to eat or drink just a plain (fill in the blank). Literally everything on the menu is a complex mixture of flavors and ingredients. The service is top notch too.

I recently celebrated my mother's 60th birthday party here. The service was unfortunate but the food was tasty. I'm from out of state and wasn't sure where to throw the dinner party. Some of my family and friends suggested Juniper and after reviewing the site and menu it looked like an easy choice. I'll start with the postives which there were only two. They did a superb job in creating a preset menu. By personalising it the event felt much more special, particularly for my mother. Secondly, the cuisine was delicious! Now I'll discuss the negatives in which there were a lot for a fine dining establishment. First the reservation time was listed incorrectly after receiving email confirmation of the correct time. During the dinner the server was quite unknowledge about the menu and paid little attention to our party. She did not ask if anyone had questions about the menu or describe any of the dishes. We constantly had to keep asking for her to refill our water and coffee. She made us feel very rushed which I could not quite understand why since we were the only table in the restaurant. An example of us feeling rushed was during the birthday cake presentation. My 90 year old grandfather, who moves slowly, had gone to the bathroom when she brought out the cake. My sister immediately asked her to wait as not all of our party was present. She waited but right next to the table which made the situation feel awkward and rushed, and at this point the birthday cake was no longer a surprise. After my mother blew out the candles the server whisked away the cake to have it cut before letting our party take pictures. After the server took the cake to the kitchen to have it cut, we overheard the kitchen staff complaining about it. We requested 9 slices to be cut. A kitchen staff person was very loud and in a rude tone said to the server, "They said 10 so they're getting 10!" Mind you that we had to pay a small cutting fee for each slice. I should note that throughout the entire dinner we overheard the kitchen staffs conversations which was distracting. Since we were the only table in the restaurant and we were seated in front of the kitchen, their voices easily carried over to our table. Even though the food was delious and the menu was published excellently; I regretted reserving a table at Juniper because of our negative service experience. Out of courteousness I left a 20% tip but I don't believe it was fully earned. I likely won't visit Juniper again and I can't recommend it to friends or family. Lastly, I emailed the manager to speak about my experience but he never bothered to respond.

The food was terrible. The Rosemary chicken tasted like a pot pie and the tenderloin sandwich was bitter and covered in blue cheese. Gross.

This review is quite late, as I think we went to Juniper like 6 months ago. We haven't been back since if that tells you anything. I thought the menu was creative, but every dish just slightly missed the mark. Like if you're going to do something unusual with a dish, it needs to have a purpose flavor-wise--not just to be different. Basically, it was an expensive meal, and just not good enough to tempt us to go back to spend that kind of money yet. I am glad that Tulsa has restaurants like Juniper, though, that are willing to push the envelope. We will definitely go back and give them another shot in the future.

I left Juniper a little confused about what kind of review I would give it. Some items wowed us (lavender bread pudding?! I died!) while others left us with mixed feelings (pan-fried, almost crispy gnocchi rather than the airy, fluffy gnocchi that I've come to love). But I would highly recommend at least trying it and seeing for yourself. The ambiance is fun and lively. While Juniper makes for an excellent date spot, it's also lively enough to be a great spot for cocktails and dinner with friends. The staff was delightful from the minute I called to talk to them about their vegetarian options, to when we walked in and they greeted us by name, to all the help our waitress provided in making our dining decisions. They really take it up a notch on making sure guests have a pleasant experience. When I called to discuss the veggie options, the hostess informed me that they just went to the farmers market and could make some off-menu items for us if we weren't satisfied with the on-menu item. Once we arrived and were seated at our table, without any need to remind the staff about our vegetarian diet, our waitress came by with a note from the chef on another item he would like to make for us based on the produce they picked up that morning. I just found the level of service amazing and was really excited about the chef's willingness to try out different items. Also, I'm a sucker for farm-to-table cooking and revolving your menu around produce you find in the market really excites me. We opted for wine that night but, if you're in the mood for cocktails, they have a great menu with some seemingly fun options. The wine list is long enough to provide a range of options and price points (as low as $20 and up to $150, I believe) but sshort enough to not be overwhelming. The food was creative and interesting. We really enjoyed the stone fruit caprese salad (unexpected t in a good way), the brussel sprouts (who doesn't love buttery, charred brussel sprouts?), and the lavender bread pudding (unreal). We also ordered the fried green tomatoes with lemon aioli which were good but could have used a lot more aoili or perhaps a different sauce. We split the gnocchi with summer ratatouille but were a bit disappointed. We were hoping for more flavor and the airiness of fresh made gnocchi. But with that said, the chef is clearly talented and I imagine that was just our personal preference. Overall a great restaurant and a wonderful spot for date-night, to celebrate or just to catch up with friends!
The food was very good but didn't blow me away. I expected the filet to be much more flavorful. The service was very good and the juniper martini was excellent

Juniper is the perfect combination of class and quality. The food and drinks are fresh and displayed in a five star manner. While I usually don't eat meat (simply out of preference) when my boyfriend ordered the filet mignon I had one look and had to try it. I ended up eating half of his plate! I would have eaten more had we not ordered an array of vegetables an gnoochi. The flavors were fresh and original and made me want to learn how to cook! The service was attentive and the atmosphere made for a great date night.

The first restaurant in Tulsa I found to actually have GREAT food. I farm to table fare whenever possible and this place does it well. They offer an array of infused cocktails guaranteed to please any pallet, and the menu changes seasonally so you'll want to keep coming back. My personal favorite is the duck. Perfect place to celebrate a special night, though I've seen quite a few business dinners there too.

Decided to go to Juniper this week with my team from out of town. We arrived later in the evening and were promptly seating, despite having a party of 5 without reservations. Our server was very amiable and knowledgeable regarding the menu as well as the city of Tulsa. Our table started with drinks - the wine, martinis and beer were all great! Next came the appetizers - the frische salad and sweet carrot soup were exceptional (judging by the empty plates and bowls at the table). For our main course, our table ordered the chicken entree with a side of gnocchi, braised short ribs, duck two ways and the scallops. The scallop was definitely the highlight of the meal (very fresh and flavorful). The chicken and braised short ribs came next, followed last by the duck entree, which was quite salty and overcooked. We finished off the meal with the two desserts available to share - the bread pudding and the apple/pear struddle. The bread pudding was quite dry but the apple/pear struddle was very delicious. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and our server was very attentive - overall, a good dining experience! Recommended!!

Juniper is well worth the price! I have been here a couple of times, and they always do something great with duck. The first time we had an amazing pork belly first plate, but they were out of pork belly on my second visit... which still wasn't enough to break my five star rating. The restaurant has a great ambience for 2 people or a small group. For Tulsa, this place is pretty upscale, and the food quality matches the vibe. You've got to try it!

Wow! Loved this place! Nice, laid-back ambience. Killer song selection. Extremely friendly service. The hostess and I passed around book recommendations while I waited on my food. If available, you need to get the herb and berry salad and the king salmon plate. So delicious! Also, very tasty complimentary bread and butter. Even eating by myself, this place was warm and welcoming with a lot to offer!

Went back to Juniper yesterday for my 31st birthday and for my one month anniversary (because that's a real thing?) This time my wife and I didn't have the option of a set menu, which was a good thing. Having a gift card the world of Juniper was at our finger tips. We decided to split the pork belly appetizer, which was cooked well and tasted great. It's served with a crouton for some reason and an apple slaw that was a bit too overpowering. They infuse their own liquors here which makes for some interesting and tasty cocktail (although pricey at $10). We both also got soup. My wife the sweet carrot soup which was pretty tasty and I got the chicken minestrone which was also good. For our entrees my wife got the free range chicken off the regular menu which was served with a pretty substantial pile of succotash. The chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly. I ordered the BBQ prime rib off of this weeks special menu. It was served on top of some sauteed vegetables and sour cream pancakes, which unfortunately just didn't pair well with the steak and got extremely mushy. While my steak was cooked to the perfect medium-rare/rare that I asked for, it was lacking seasoning. Prior to grilling it probably needed some more salt and pepper or it needed more sauce upon service.

I loved this place. The vibe was young and modern. The music was fresh and new. The food was delicious, especially the carrot soup (get this, it was our favorite dish) and the brussels sprouts were delightful. The cocktail menu had some funny drink names like "Autumn in Manhattan" and "Maple Oat-Fashioned" (both of which were good). Our waiter was very amiable and kind of adorable as well. I had the market beef, which was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend had the duck two ways, which he enjoyed, but wasn't nearly as good as my steak. They have a big round table for large groups and a lot of small tables for dates. The price is what you'd expect from a very fancy restaurant, our bill came to $170 with tip. So worth it for a birthday/Valentines Day date.

Being from San Diego, and having tons of wonderful food and restaurants easily accessible, it is always different whenever I leave the area. When I recently spent time in Tulsa, I was delighted to see a cheesecake factory (Code word for civilization ;) ) and I had resigned myself to that being about as good as it gets in the area when I become a future resident. I'm not knocking cheesecake by any means. I was so delighted to find this place, and it's AMAZING vegetarian options. It really made my anniversary with my boyfriend so special. I'll definitely be back. See you next year!

This place was pretentious and overpriced my lamb rack was raw I had to send it back and still it was not done correctly. The waitress was good and apoligized over and over. For the price i expect my food to be way better then this will never return.

What a wonderful restaurant! Our food was spectacular. The carrot soup and grilled watermelon salad were delicious! Our server Adam was attentive and helpful. He asked the chef if he would do some off-menu creative work for our young boys. They were happy to work with us and made a custom BBQ pork Gnocchi which was amazing. Everything from the bread and butter to the coffee crusted beef were beautiful and so tasty. We also enjoyed some of the amazing cocktails. I applaud the creativity and great service!

I went here for both brunch and dinner this past weekend. Both experiences were exceptional. This is hands down the best restaurant in Tulsa as far as I'm concerned. Food was served quickly, the menu was imaginative, service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and well-cooked, and the prices are reasonable. The chef even put together a vegan entree for me for dinner, and it had flavors and ingredients I've never had before. I will make it a point to keep coming back to this restaurant every time I visit Tulsa.

Recommended by someone I met on the plane ride to Tulsa, I was looking forward to adding to my experiences at Tulsa memorable meals at Elote and an oddly remarkable lunch at Joe Mamma's several years ago, I had lunch at Juniper recently. A good wine selection was an unexpected surprise and led me to think I would be writing a grand slam of praises. Ordering the special salad with grilled shrimp started off the food portion on a very positive note. Perfectly seasoned with a very mild curry the small salad with three grilled shrimp was a perfect starter. Hearing praise about the trout, it was a must order. Wow! the lack of salt on the table was not a problem with this mild fish. There was my weekly intake of salt, dressing this poor fella lying so quietly on my plate. I had also placed an order for the mushroom fritto to try. Again, wow! what salt that couldn't fit on the petite trout was lavished abundantly on the plentiful plate of mushrooms. Superbly pleasant service really is what kept me from dropping another star. A perfectly fine meal, but not on my list for a revisit.

A Fantastic restaurant. Consistently great. It is the perfect place for both a date night and business dinners. After several visits every dish I have had had been so good it has been hard to select a favorite. First the star of the meal......Carrot Soup. Hmmmm Carrot Soup!?! you say. Yes...it is great! it starts with the texture creamy without being overly rich. The carrots is perfectly flavoured with herbs and the chili oil. This accompanied by the hot bread is incredible. The coffe rubbed filet. Excellent flavor and I never believed in the term "you can cut it with a fork" until I had it here. I had to demonstrate it to by fellow diners. I have a dinner at Phryme coming up this week so it will be interesting to compare. The Lamb two ways. Flavorfull and delicious. There was a shaved zucchinithat was unusual but very tasty. The pastry lamb was a fun take on a pie. Brown Butter Trout. A favorite of my wifes. The Brussels are the best I 've had. The trout was very nice though last nights was slightly salty. The fruit cobbler has always been a hit. with vanilla ice cream it make for the perfect dessert year round. The Chocolate Torte was VERY rich.Perfect with a strong coffee or even a late night coffe and dessert.

I've been here two times in two weeks. I've only been for lunch and the food and service have been amazing both times! I'm pretty sure there is nothing bad on this entire menu! Definitely try the trout and the Brussel sprouts! You won't be disappointed
Excited to try Juniper due to reviews and hype, but left disappointed with the food. My overall experience was poor because of unmet expectations of the food and service. At a restaurant that charges $20+ for entrees, I expect better service than a regular place. I don't mind paying higher prices if it means the food will wow my taste buds. Juniper did not deliver on either. The bread pudding was by far the best thing I had here. The golden raisins provide an excellent natural sweetness to contrast with the crusted, sugared top. I came with a reservation and was promptly seated. The hostess was really nice and did some small talk with me. My waiter was not overly friendly, just polite and unable to recommend anything since "everything is good". He also said the same to the table next to me, so I am wondering if they are not allowed to point out personal favorites or if he was new. For apps, I got the carrot soup since I had heard about it. It tasted like butternut squash with caramelized garlic. Do carrots really have a strong taste? My entree was the Duck Two Ways, seared with butternut squash and as a apple and honey salad. After a 30 minute wait, the dish arrives and the seared duck was rare. Another 40 seconds and it would have been perfect. I sent it back to be cooked "just a little bit more" and it comes out as well instead of my preferred medium rare - medium. 90% of my entree was boxed to go. Reservations recommended; free street parking after 5pm.

Newcomers to Tulsa, we were excited to try out Juniper after hearing about it from many sources. In short: * Entrees were exquisite -- flavors and presentation perfectly on point. (5 stars) * App/bread, one side, and front-of-house needed work. (3 stars) In long: We made a reservation for 9:00 p.m. on a Friday, figuring we'd beat the dinner rush and have a more relaxing meal. However, when we arrived, we were told that our table was not yet ready. No problem; that is understandable at such a hoppin' place, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. We were invited to sit at the bar to wait. We took the only two seats on the crowded bar, which was littered not only with the dirty dishes and glasses of former patrons--again, understandable since they had probably just left--but also with bar "detritus" such as an open container of raspberries (used for their cocktails). The bar seemed like it was slammed so we of course excused that as well. However, it took the bartender (or anyone at the bar) over ten minutes to acknowledge our presence -- even a simple greeting ("Hi, sorry about all this mess -- we'll get it cleaned up right away. Here are some waters. What can we get started for you in the meantime?") would have improved the situation. During our long wait for salutations, water, and cocktail menus, we observed the front-of-house action in this part of the restaurant, which I can only describe as chaotic. Servers seemed to be running in and out of the bar, getting in the way of the bartender, even making their own drinks at times (!). One server was hanging out at the host stand, not doing anything while her colleagues were clearly slammed. Finally, we were given cocktail menus by someone at the bar, but no apology about the wait or lack of greeting or assistance. By the time we got these menus, our table was ready. Once seated, the service improved remarkably; our server was attentive and friendly without going overboard. COCKTAILS: We ordered two cocktails--the nut & honey and "my valentine," a special cocktail for valentine's week. My boyfriend's nut & honey, made with bourbon infused with peanut, was excellent; my cocktail was a little too sweet. (Did they put simple syrup in it? With muddled raspberries, St. Germain, and champagne, it didn't need additional sugar.) APPS: We ordered the mushroom fritto for an appetizer; it arrived hot and fresh with delicious sage aioli. The portion was quite large and the mushrooms somewhat one-note, but at least that note was delicious, and the sage aioli was flavorful. The bread and butter accompanying the apps was meh; the butter in particular was a disappointment. Described as "balsamic butter," the balsamic flavor was not pronounced enough and the butter badly needed salt. Since there was no salt on the table (!), it was inedible. ENTREES: We ordered the chicken and salmon. The fish was prepared *perfectly* -- every bite melted in the mouth. It is very easy to over-cook fish, especially salmon, and this piece was silky and gorgeously rare. My BF's chicken was also exquisite; he only wanted twice as much of it! We both agreed that the mushroom app could have been smaller and this entree could have been much larger. The salmon portion was more appropriately sized. We also ordered Brussels sprouts as a side. These were inconsistent. Some were browned beautifully; others were nearly raw. They had almost no seasoning whatsoever, though we could taste the brown butter they had been cooked in. Some special finishing salt might have been just the thing. On their own, they were just too dry and not caramelized enough. DESSERT: Chocolate bread pudding a la mode -- made with chocolate brioche, not plain bread with chocolate added. Yum! We appreciated that this dessert was not too chocolate-y and rich (recognizing that this point might be a negative for some!); the accompanying toffee was brilliant, but we wanted a little more of that caramel-y flavor with every bite. We were very glad to have the ice cream accompaniment -- the contrast of hot and cold, chocolate and vanilla kept us coming back for more and more bites. NB we asked for the ice cream; it is not a standard accompaniment with the bread pudding. * * * If Juniper were in the Bay Area, we'd probably give it 3 stars and not go back... It just wouldn't be creative and special enough to stand out there... But context is everything: in Tulsa, I am sure we will be back, since there are few other options that can deliver the farm-to-table concept, which we admire and support, and few that can execute such perfectly composed entree flavors. We hope that the GM trains the front-of-house a bit better so that they can serve with professionalism that matches the gorgeous food the chef and his staff are preparing.

I can say that, by far, this was the best place we ate while in town. A friend and I stopped in to see what they had to offer and were impressed by the delicious food, good drinks and nice atmosphere. If we come back to Tulsa, we'll be back to eat here.

Fantastic dinner at Juniper last week- my daughter and I were on a cross country trip and were looking for a great place to eat and relax while stopping for the night in Tulsa- great vegan options on the menu, which we both prefer and loved. Leslie was a great host for the night and took great care of us. One of the best stops we made while driving down Route 66- highly recommended!

Took my partner for Birthday lunch today. As usual a great meal (4th visit)... Small, intimate but open and unclutter atmosphere. Professional and attentive service but not hovering--a nice balance. Likes: Carrot Soup --is a must. Lobster, cognac crème. Didn't think I would like it but is a great version. Bloody Mary---house made Serrano infused vodka served up in a martini glass--STELLAR Gnocchi----third time I've had it. The spring vegetable version was wonderful but now it is autumn and they are serving chanterelle mushrooms, roasted butternut squash and an ever so mild blue cheese crème dressing... Was not as heavy as it sounds but packed with flavor. Justin has a marvelous touch with this dish--the right firmness without being heavy and nicely browned in the skillet before serving. Mushroom Fritto with sage aioli--- try it... mmmmmmm you will know this was prepared fresh. Wine----Nice selection of quality split bottles of wine. Not As much: Chicken noodle soup--- had good flavor, a lot of fresh herbs and packed with chicken but the dumplings were few and almost melted in the bowel... Was just a consistency thing with me.

One of Tulsa's finest restaurants. Expect simple and elegant locally sourced cuisine made with love. They also have some great cocktails but as for me I will always go for the coffee it is truly exceptional!

They were nice about my GF requests although buyer beware! While I can't confirm one way or the other, I do not feel confident that Juniper succeeded in providing truly gluten free food. They communicated well about it and were kind and cooperative but I still have a hunch that they did not fully understand GF food preparation. The food was tasty but quite heavy. We ate several of the side dishes, the carrot soup, and a few salads. The carrot soup was by far the star of the show with the brussel sprouts a close second!

Every meal I have had here has been fantastic: Dinner, lunch, and a special mothers day brunch which was simply amazing. Their in-house infused liquor cocktails are pricey but worth it. The Bloody Mary Martini is my favorite so far. A great classy date night or upscale family dinner. If they ever have brunch again, reserve your seat ASAP, I will be.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Tulsa. My wife and I went with my brother and his wife for a special occasion. Always decent wines on the list. We had a Nickel and Nickel Truchard Chard and a Sea Smoke Pinot Noir. Started with a cheese plate, nothing special but good. Had a kale and prosciutto salad. Very good. Small bunches of Kale with a nice creamy dressing. My wife had the beet salad. I guess beets are the rage everywhere. On every menu in Sonoma on our latest trip. Good tasting. Their ceaser is not for the weak at heart. Comes with a pretty strong dressing and deep fried anchovies (I was the only one that liked them!!!). Bixby greens salad with berries looked really good. I had the pork cheek stroganoff. Nice pasta, tasted freshly made. Other dishes were the filet (only so so this time) and Chiliean sea bass (very solid). Could take away a star on the filet but I didn't order it!!! Their across the street neighbors are quite interesting and probably shock a lot of first time diners (or may be its a plus depending on who it is). Anyway, I think Juniper is a really good restaurant and glad Tulsa has something like this. If you haven't tried it you should go sometime.

Always unique and adventuresome, Juniper brought it more traditional for Saturday brunch and with three simple dishes blew every other brunch in Tulsa away. Duck Confit omelette, Bison Burger smothered in over easy egg and cheese grits. Best brunch I have had in years.

Juniper is absolutely lovely. The cocktails are handcrafted and thoughtful. They infuse their own vodka, tequila, rum etc. with fresh seasonal ingredients! The staff is informed and helpful. The duck two ways is superb- super succulent and flavorful. Get the carrot soup because it is divine. GO and treat yo self!

We were passing through town and discovered this gem. Very good wine list though like most restaurants it could use a few more central coast wines. The dinner menu was creative and offered something for everyone. You could make a meal from the starter portion but the entrees proved too tempting. The duck Two ways was fabulous. Attentive service and a attractive urban setting would appeal to the most left or right coast snobs. Next time we find ourselves in Tulsa we will look forward to another visit.

I am giving Juniper 4 stars only because I just had dessert and unable to review on their meals. However, their blueberry lemon bread pudding was delicious. I don't like overly sweet desserts and bread pudding can very sweet at times, especially if the hard sauce is sweet. But when I saw the lemon in the description I figured it was worth a try. The restaurant is contemporary in design and elegant but not pretentious. I sat at the bar which could be a bit larger. The service was good and I could see they had a large selection of good wines. So if I am ever in Tulsa again I will definitely come back for dinner.

Menu is somewhat pretentious. And it is annoying to have menu imgredients explained as if the diner just fell off the turnip truck. But the lamb and trout were very good.

OMG. Just amazing quality food and great service. We went with a party of nine, (our reservations were for seven yet they quickly accommodated us), on a recent Saturday night. The carrot soup and the root vegetable salad were huge hits for apps, for dinner I swooned over the venison chops, (best venison ever!). yet still felt a little envious of the scallops on my fellow diner's plates. The gnocchi was greatly enjoyed and gobbled down by my co-worker, and the lamb cassoulet and chilean sea bass looked divine as they disappeared from nearby plates at the table. The seasonal cobbler was ordered for the table and I wish the apple/pear mix had been pre-sauteed, it was just a little crunchy. The chocolate plate was lovely, as was the coffee brulee. Also loved finding out this was a farm to table restaurant. Definitely a highlight of our Tulsa trip and I highly recommend the Juniper. Yum.

First, the good: The service, the bar, the atmosphere, the food! The bad: Nothing I loved this restaurant and had a wonderful meal here. My wife ordered the herbed gnocchi & bleu cheese crème and it was wonderful! I started with the sweet carrot soup (unbelievable) and had an off menu item - the grass fed rib eye with blu cheese. Absolutely fantastic. We finished with the chocolate brioche bread pudding. I actually laughed out loud when I tasted it, it was so good. Our waitress, Whitney, was there when we needed her but wasn't hovering or obnoxious. Exceptionally good service all the way around. This may have been the best meal I've ever had at a restaurant. As good as it gets, indeed. Go here.

Juniper is always a stop for us when traveling between Kansas City and Oklahoma City. It stands up well against just about every New American in the region. Tulsans should be proud to have this option, let alone having it downtown. Service is always prompt and invisible (as it should be), wine selections are great, and the food is delicious and meticulously presented.

YES!!!! I am sooooo excited to have found this place. I am really picky and rarely give five-star reviews, but the meal I had here blew me away. I had the carrot soup (OUT OF THIS WORLD) and the grilled vegetable sandwich (with goat cheese). I never knew cauliflower and mushrooms could taste so divine. This meal was simply vegetables, but it practically made me cry it was so good. I'm dying to go back and try more food, dessert, drinks, etc. Highly recommended! PS. My friends had the bison burger and said it was amazing.

Juniper is one of the best restuarants I have ever eaten at. Period. They have all the basics covered: beautiful ambiance and great service. Where they go further is the sheer artistry and the out-of-this-world taste of the food. (This is also why the prices are a bit higher) We went for dinner on St. Patrick's day, and I ordered a steaming ramekin of shepherd's pie. My boyfriend who has Celiac (and therefore cannot have gluten) ordered the pork tenderloin, and his mum ordered these black bean cakes. Every single dish was impeccable, and we ate up every last morsel. If you need gluten free options they will work with you and let you know which items on the menu can be made gluten free if they're not gluten free already. All the prices on the menu include tax, so what you see is what you pay! I like that! We enjoyed dinner so much that we didn't even save room to order dessert, but I will not make that mistake next time. Juniper is a true culinary experience, and EVERY lover of food should eat here!!...just remember that Juniper is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

I really wanted to like this restaurant! Researched it and chose to ignore a couple of comments on Yelp. First of all, I am from Seattle and an admitted "sustainable" food snob. I grew up in Tulsa and have a hard time finding good fresh produce and locally sourced foods. Every time I visit I try to find something new and forward thinking about Tulsa and am always delighted to find new farmer's markets and local movements. So I came upon Juniper and wanted to introduce it to my father. And the food didn't disappoint and almost "wowed" me. The carrot soup and mushroom soup were delightful. Then I had the lamb, which was tasty and prepared nicely, but the butcher could have done a sweeter job cutting it to bring out the best in the finished product. My dad had the duck and it was downright amazing. My kids actually were able to find things they liked on the menu without having the Chef prepare something "kid friendly." The strawberry shortcake was a nice idea, but I was disappointed that all the balsamic was contained in a rubbery gelee with no way to incorporate it into a bite. But the basil definitely was a good fit. Loved the coffee, adorable french press containers and super smooth. AND THEN, they chased us out while sweetly offering to put our coffee in to-go cups! The only reason we were still there is because it took 20 minutes for the server to come back and take our dessert order. Two stars off for poor form and this NOT being the first you've heard about this rude behavior...

I've had about five great meals here, but two stand out in particular. One was a larger group just after Christmas, a celebratory dinner of sorts. We had cocktails, steaks, scallops, salads, desserts... and everything was excellent. All of us were foodie-oriented, and everyone raved about the meal and the service. The second was more of a last-minute hopeful stop in on a Friday night. Although there were no available tables, the hostess and bartender made us feel welcome in the lounge area as we enjoyed the best cocktails in town and some fabulous appetizers. The bloody martini is bloody terrific. That drink alone is worth checking out the restaurant! Otherwise, I adore that the chef has put together one of the few truly locavore places in Tulsa. I've enjoyed the local cheese and meats so far, and am very excited to taste what spring and summer have in store!

great food. i was originally skeptical about the restaurant because i got some bad looks when i walked in with my jean shorts on, but the hostess told me there wasn't a dress code and what appeared to be a floor-manager standing behind her was very welcoming. we sat in the bar area and had solid service. the food was on the pricer end which i'm assuming is due to the higher quality of product. the taste of my meal was fantastic. i'll definitely go back.

Blue Dome needed a fine dining spot, and this place certainly meets that requirement. This is right next store to Fassler Hall. I had the duck two ways (confit and seared breast), really delicious with a crispy skin. A lot of the food is simply prepared but it seems to be expertly cooked and has a lot of flavor. Smaller sized restaurant, but very intimate, decent wine and beer selection. Service was kind, attentative, but didn't get in the way. I'd go back.

I've had my eye on Juniper for quite awhile, and decided to give it a try for lunch today since my medical school was coordinating with Justin Thompson to raise money for childhood cancer research! First of all, any business owner who is generous enough to partner with us in an endeavor such as this is one that I will gladly give my business to. I was automatically impressed with the friendly hostess and the ambiance. The decor is modern without being obnoxious. Juniper looks great for a quiet lunch or a romantic dinner! Our server was friendly and attentive, although she did not bring us the complimentary bread and butter that other tables were receiving. By the time we realized this, we were being brought our food so we didn't bother asking. Ah, yes the food! We all three ordered the Turkey, Bacon & Havarti sandwich (we're so unique, I know...). I branched out from my friends slightly - I ordered the side salad while they went for the bison chili. The salad was a mixture of spinach and kale (which I normally am not a fan of, but it was delicious)! I sampled my friends' chili and it, too was amazing. Normally when I order a sandwich for lunch I can only eat half or so, but this was so delicious I gobbled the whole thing up, along with my salad. Oops. The best part was that the bill was very reasonable for such a nice place! We each left with checks around $10, which is perfect for lunch! The only reasons Juniper doesn't get five stars from me is because of the missing bread (homegirl likes her carbs) and because I feel like I should sample more entrees before rating it 5 stars! I can't wait to be back and try out the dinner menu.

I ate at Juniper with my family for the first time last night and I am greatly impressed. Tulsa needed a farm to table restaurant with great gf and vegetarian options like Juniper. To start I had one of their in-house infused martinis, the Mata Hari (made of chai infused cognac) and the cheese plate. Following that pan fried sweet breads and the brown butter trout as a main course. The food was fantastic. Our waiter Alexander was both personable and professional. He played along with my goofy family's banter but was astutely quite when we need to talk amongst ourselves. Thanks Juniper and Alexander for a great evening.

Meal was good. Cabernet was served cold, which was an interesting choice. Our waiter was very sub standard - didn't ask how we would like our salmon cooked but choose "medium" for us which was revealed when we got our check.

On this most recent trip, my special lady and I had a great experience. We had been here before a few times and had differing experiences. Our first string of visits were great. Then we hit a rough spot where the servers or chefs or who knows, someone who works there, made it obvious that Juniper didn't want to work with vegetarians or vegans at all. We were made to feel very unwelcome. We stopped going. Over the weekend, after reading a few reviews online, we decided to give Juniper another visit. We were both very glad we did. When we arrived, we asked the hostess if they could accommodate vegan & gluten free diets. She said of course and asked if we would be comfortable with letting the chef create something on the fly, we were. We had an awesome salad to start, with a deliciously earthy, pungent (think truffles) cider vinaigrette. The entree was a sort of roasted vegetable and red quinoa dish. There were a variety of veggies but the standouts were the roasted brussels sprouts and, what had to have been, wood fired asparagus stalks. Also, the service was great, attentive but not intrusive. I am very glad we returned to Juniper. If future visits continue as this one, I will return much more frequently than had become my custom.
Go for the ambiance and the bartender Liz. The decor is adorable and the food and drink list is impressive. The sweet carrot soup is a must. I will definitely return next time I am in the Tulsa area.
This is really a fine dining experience in the heart of Tulsa downtown. It is located centrally to all bars and hotels. I went with a friend here on a Friday night and it was definitely an above and beyond kind of experience. We did not have a reservation before hand and we were seated immediately upon entrance. We were given the option of booth or table and we chose the booth near the kitchen. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. As it was my first time in the restaurant, he gladly lead me through the top picks. I decided on two appetizers: the mussels nouveau and the lump crab/artichoke beignets. My friend ordered the paneed rosemary chicken. The Mussels were absolutely delightful and the creme fraiche was good enough to eat by itself. Every bite of the beignets was so awesome that it left me with a feeling that I was running out of beignets afterwards. The rosemary chicken was also impeccable and it was cooked very well. The entire dish with all of its components came very well. The Strawberry Basil Lemonade was a very good accompanying drink along with the dinner. We topped it off with Seasonal French Style Cobbler which was impeccable. The Cobbler with the ice cream just topped off an amazing dinner. The staff was friendly enough to even let us dine with them 10 minutes past closing time. Now, thats awesome service and I am definitely glad that I spent my time there. I will definitely be back here when I am back here in Tulsa. Excellent job guys!

Beautiful restaurant with a great menu! The service was pretty good, and the food also tasted good. The plus side was the way the food was presented and the ambiance. The menu was creative and the ingredients were definitely high quality, but I guess I felt that the service and attention to our table could've been a bit better. I tried both of the fishes (trout and salmon), which were cooked well (not overdone) and I loved the creative accompaniments. Overall it was a great experience but our server wasn't overly warm or friendly, the food was good, but the presentation was the high point!

Oh...my...god...I prayed to the lunch gods I would find their oasis and they showed me the path. Juniper's food and menu is the perfect place to lunch. This was by far the best meal I had while I was in Tulsa and I wish I could find somewhere equally as amazing back home. I got a hot tea, which was chosen from a typical selection of bagged tea options. I wish restaurants would take the extra step and upgrade their tea selection to loose leaf. It's 100% worth the minor cost and really shows they care. While I am a tea snob, it did the trick and was served with a cute lil' teapot. Onto the nosh... I already had a relatively big breakfast and don't like to be too full before a lot of manual labor so I decided to munch on something a little lighter...their roasted Caesar salad. Holy $#!%, you guys. This was the best Caesar salad I've EVER had in my entire damn life. It was lettuce topped with house made dressing; an entire grilled chicken breast, and topped with cheese and fried anchovies. Words cannot describe to you how amazing this salad was. The secret was in the dressing and fried anchovies.

Shocked that I have not reviewed before. Hard to improve upon the Yelp love given already, but here are my highlights. - $8 lunch specials absolutely cannot be beat. They mix it up with a sandwich / pasta / fish tacos and side (any side / even soup), for only $8. A steal. Gnocchi and any of their inspired sandwiches are a must order. Their fish tacos have been just okay for me. - Solid weekend brunch as well, appropriate for the youngsters for that seating. - Inspired bar selections. Unique cocktails and they mix it up seasonally. - Dinner - great atmosphere / service and a menu quality that is commensurate with the price. For the budget conscious, stay with lunch. This is my favorite of the Justin Thompson restaurants (his too!). It is an absolute delight to take new-comers here. Highly recommended.

I ordered the charcuterie board and the "duck both ways." The charcuterie board has both pate and duck liver mousse. The mousse was so good. The duck two ways was cooked perfectly. I didn't like the stringy side but luckily it was a small portion of the plate. I wish I had room to try the drinks because they looked good. My only advice is to not come here alone so that you don't over eat and can try other things. I wish I had come with my coworker. I'm stuffed!!!

This was an all-around great experience. I was greeted by at least 3 of the workers & an additional employee was making sure I was ok. So first impressions got my attention as soon as I stepped in the door. They have good deals on drinks to go with your brunch, I went with the mimosas. You can choose between cranberry, orange & pineapple juice to mix. My waitress was great! & then, I ordered the Pork Belly & French Toast Benedict. Very savory. The poached eggs stole the show. Sitting on top of the French Toast along with the arugula. The maple hollandaise was pretty sweet. It all balanced out. The fruit was good too. That was my first time having poached eggs & I might to starting having them more often that way. They have a creative selection with their brunch. It took make a minute to make a decision. Now I have an excuse to come at least two more times.

Definitely the epitome of "fine dining" in all aspects. Immaculate inside, cloth-covered tables and leather-bound menus, along with the subtle lighting that makes any corner in the room fade to black. You know, the usual. Our server, Amanda, was not only polite and professional, but knowledgable. We chose a Melbac wine based on the menu's recommendation to pair it with steak and we were not disappointed-- with either one. In fact, my date was a little hesitant about the "coffee-rubbed" tenderloin filet option (she's a ribeye / filet mignon kind of girl) but once she tried it, I knew I was getting big points for picking a solid place-- especially since it was her birthday. Oh.. and the bread pudding is perfect.

I failed to review this right after I went and now I don't remember all of the details, but wanted to get the five stars out there and i certainly remember the tremendous service. My tip of the day would be to let the server lead you to your perfect cocktail.

Juniper is 5 star sexy. If you live in Tulsa - go. If you're from out of town - this is a place you need to put on your Tulsan trip! Reservations? A piece of cake. Every time I have called someone picks up instantly and assists me to get the best time available. I wouldn't say lunch reservations are needed, but if you're dining on a weekend night - be safe just incase! They can accommodate large and small parties and there is a bar area to sip on one of their deliciously crafted cocktails while you wait. Atmosphere: Special and authentic. You can dress it up here on a date or special occasion night! Lunch: The last couple of times friends from out of town came in I have taken them here for a special lunch with a unique menu with some standards to fulfill anyone's taste. Most recently, my friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich w/ fresh veggies while I went for the pimento mac n' cheese w/ their famous brussels sprouts. With the complimentary fresh bread and butter before, we both had leftovers and each had about a $10 bill! Dinner: Ridiculously amazing. Each and every time I order a dish I am always amazed by. Juniper's chefs are intentional with every menu item and uses fresh ingredients. The dinner menu rises in price, but is worth every penny between the ace service, food, atmosphere and overall experience. PS - Order dessert. Just do it.

I stopped by for an early dinner based upon the recommendation of a business associate. Seating without a reservation was easy since it was early. My server was very friendly, but did fail to tell me about the specials. No big deal though. I started off with the charcuterie board, then, had the duck two ways and brown butter Brussels sprouts. The charcuterie board was a bit limited, but was still pretty good. The duck was very tasty and was well-prepared. Brussels sprouts were good, but not exceptional. The quality of the food, particularly the freshness, was above average. They have a very nice wine list, with some interesting local offerings. I'd definitely go back.

Having moved to Tulsa from Houston, I was somewhat skeptical about the food scene. I mean, Houston has some incredible chefs and places that I had come to love. On a whim, I chose to try Juniper for my birthday dinner in hopes it could ease my homesickness for Houston. The first course was the creamed carrot soup. Oh geez, it was perfection in a bowl. I followed that up with the grilled watermelon salad. Home run number two! I had never thought to grill watermelon but now that seems like a no brainer. Adding goat cheese and a honey lemon vinaigrette just made it all the more tastier. For the main course, I went with the vegetarian option, which I shouldn't have done. I tried the Thai style Gnocchi and regretted it. The flavors were so off I could only eat maybe a quarter of it. My husband had the pork chop and agreed, the flavors were off and it was dry. Such a shame because the food prior was so good! Dessert, on the other hand, was fantastic. I ordered the coconut mousse and it was phenomenal! Seriously, order it! Thank you, Juniper, for making this Houston girl a fan of the Tulsa food scene!

I had one of the most beautiful lunches of my life at Juniper. The space is downright dreamy, and has a rustic, romantic vibe. I felt like I should have been wearing a flowy sundress and a headband made of flowers. On this visit I was lunching with Sarah M and Julie S, and I think it's safe to say that we were all blown away. I started with the sweet carrot soup with chive crème fraÎche and fresno chili oil, and was so impressed. The soup was creamy, and savory with a touch of sweet... truly the perfect start to a lazy summer lunch. Afterwards, I had the spring garden salad with cucumber, green onion, peas, herbed yogurt, shaved radish, and lemon vinaigrette. Words can't properly express how much I loved this salad. I eat a ton of vegetables every day, but the way this colorful creation is prepared is in a league of its own. We scratched the healthy plan when we decided to order the banana bread pudding, but it was truly worth every bite. Juniper, I'll be visiting you again as soon as I can. Tulsa continues to impress with its restaurant scene!

Five stars for this wonderful addition to the Tulsa scene! Everything I tried was amazing: carrot soup, gazpacho, one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had, and a truly amazing dessert: the banana bread pudding. The atmosphere is absolutely perfect. It is upscale without trying to hard, and the food, while inventive, is not inventive for inventiveness sake. It's not trying to be anything it's not, which in a world of gastronomic chemistry and hyper-local farm-to-fork fantasia is nice to see. This particular blend of authentically local - while also outsourcing important ingredients on an as-need basis - is so hard to get right, when it should be one of the easier things to get right. Having some really wonderful local companies to draw from probably make this feel a little bit easier; Juniper makes it seem effortless. I can't wait to come back for dinner, where I plan to start with the craft cocktails featuring custom house-made infusions. Then onto appetizers, salads and dinner with pairings from their amazing wine list. Finally, more deserts and an aperitif made using house-made bitters. If lunch is any indication, I may have found my new favorite Tulsa go-to. Kudos to everyone involved in this endeavor, from the farmer to the chef to the hostess: this place is spot-on!

Clean quaint and unique dining experience. Surprising flavors with interesting combinations but I got the pork belly burger and would definitely recommended. Also got a bacon Bloody Mary and champagne cocktail with a sugar cube. Very tasty! A little pricey compared to some of the restaurants around the area but overall the restaurant was clean and the food was delicious so I don't mind paying the extra couple of dollars for an enjoyable dining experience

We dined at Juniper on February 13 for an early Valentine's Day celebration (we had opera tickets that night, as well). Our experience was perfection, and we'll be back at Juniper the next time we're in Tulsa! The service was impeccable. We arrived a little early for our reservation (after walking from the Mayo Hotel) and were seated right away, and it wasn't long before I had a cosmo in my hand (I had to try the "martini" in the name out, right?). We were a little concerned when we were seated by the Valentine's prix fixe because my husband has to eat a strict, low-fat diet for a health condition he has. The preset course options were not options for him, but they were also allowing patrons to order from the regular menu as well, which is what we did. He was able to order a fish main course, and I had duck, which was divine. I also enjoyed a fantastic dessert. The restaurant is charming, the food was delicious, the service was professional and friendly (they made sure to get us out to get to the opera on time), and we loved every minute of our Valentine's date at Juniper. You should go eat there, too!

My wife and I just had a terrific dining experience at Juniper. We got there earlier then our reservation, so we set at the bar and had the cheese plate and drinks. The cheese plate had some tasty surprises. The fruit drizzled with honey was very tasty, but the star was the 2 goat cheeses with their special blend of herbs. We then continued on dining adventure by go to our table and having the caesar salad with fried anchovy. Well done, and I would say one of the best spins we have had on caesar salads. The main was the duck and the chicken. Both were tasty and cooked well. We finished with the lemon poppyseed bread pudding. I am a traditionalist with bread pudding, but my wife loved it. The only thing left would be the service, and they delivered. Juniper, thank you for a great night!
The best food I've had in along time. The waitstaff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Everything that was served to us was presented and garnished wonderfully. Reasonably priced and generous portions. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Tulsa. Complements to the chef!!!

Great spot! I found the ambience and the staff to be ideal for a great enjoyable evening. Liz behind the bar is especially friendly and a great mixologist with vast experience and knowledge. Highly recommend trying the French Martini, one of her many specialities I truly enjoyed the pork bellies. Great flavor burst combined with the apple slaw. Kudos. Exciting eclectic menu executed to perfection. I can strongly recommend you check this place out when in Tulsa.

A really wonderful evening with my family. It was a full house yet it was quiet enough to hear everyone talk and we had a great time. Great food and wonderful wine list. This is a great place to go if you want a really special evening with people you love and want a special atmosphere with great food.

My wife and I ate at Juniper for the first time on Valentines Day. This being our first visit, we weren't quite sure what to expect. We had reservations and showed up a few minutes early and we were seated promptly. They had a Valentines Day special menu, but we opted to order off their regular menu. We first started off with a couple cocktails, a Lemondrop Martini and a Negroni. Both were mixed just right and well crafted. They started us off with some of their delicious bread which came with a butter with some kind of California sea salt The bread was baked perfectly and served hot. I also ordered their "Duck Two Ways" and my wife had the beef tenderloin. Both we outstanding and served quite creatively with various locally/area grown veggies and fruit. My wife commented that she enjoyed her tenderloin just as well as one she would get another one of our favorite restaurants, Mahogany. We also had their apple and pear cobbler, which required us to pre-order it at the start of the meal since it has a 20 minute prep time. It also was wonderful. All in all, we had a great meal. We plan on returning to Juniper often and trying other items on their menu.

I dined at Juniper during a business trip, and had a fantastic experience. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and every course I had tasted exceptionally good. If I ever visit Tulsa again (which I'll admit is unlikely) then Juniper will be my first choice for dinner. Keep it up.

This is an overall good choice for dinner , but I was just a bit disappointed, first off like the rest off downtown you are punished for having a car , the nearly empty parking lot next door , that you would assume after 7pm would be free is not, a guy writing tickets to diners at 730 had me move the car so be careful, the seating and service friendly and great, wine menu a bit limited and dinner a touch below the 4.5 rating, still pleasant evening and good food , prices were fair.

Probably my favorite place in Tulsa. Quality food, interesting plates, fresh ingredients. The only problem? It's too expensive but they offer affordable brunch for people on a tight budget. Great desserts too (and that is coming from a person that does not like sweets!) try the cobbler!

Juniper serves a very elegant and affordable brunch! The service was very attentive. We came on a Saturday, with no reservations, and were seated immediately and given waters. Throughout the meal, our waitress checked on us several times and kept our glasses filled. I had the jalapeno and havarti biscuits with gravy, with breakfast potatoes and eggs over-medium. The eggs were perfectly cooked! I really have to hand it to the chef for getting just the right ratio of runny to cooked in the yolks. The breakfast potatoes were also well-executed; they were perfectly salted and had some delicious sauteed onion-garlic concoction on them. I wish there was more of that with the potatoes because it really amped up the dish. The jalapeno and havarti biscuits weren't spicy at all, if you are like me and shy away from spice. I thought the biscuits were a little dry, however, and could have done with more of the pork gravy. I really think the biscuits would have been better served open-faced, with the gravy poured over the halves rather than gravy just poured over the tops. Best of all, compared to their dinner menu, brunch is a steal. My biscuits and gravy were $9 (what what!) and, if I drank, there was a cocktail with lavender bitters that was only $4 that I would have liked to try.

My wife had the salmon ,were good, our out of town guest had the scallops also very good, unfortunately I had the Veal special with Duck roasted potatoes, a bigg miss, the veal was overcooked and dry, the potatoes were also dry and the centers mush , such a disappointment , I will keep an open mind due to the other 2 meals being very good. The ambience at Juniper was perfect. My waiter, Alex, likewise! Delicious carrot soup! Alex suggested mussels in a white wine broth and it was delicious, as well. My pause in the Five star is ... Well, to feel satisfied, full, if you will, with mussels, you need to be served a LOT of mussels. This serving, well, not so. The empty shells rounded nicely about two high on a side salad plate. And most disappointed - never have eaten mussels w/out hot crusty buttered garlic bread! Just goes together like PBJ. I asked Alex for some bread to sop up the delicious white wine broth and I heard him in Kitch rounding it up...two thin slices of artisan white bread, lightly toasted, with no butter or garlic. Dessert was grand, a chocolate lovely with Oreo crust, with a side dollop of mousse and strawberries. The kitchen sliced it in half for me, boxed one-half, for take home.

It takes something special for me to give a restaurant 5 stars...and let me tell you, Juniper has it! My husband and I spent this past weekend in Tulsa and we carefully chose a few restaurants to eat at. The menu just seemed to have a lot of interesting things on it, so we had to find out for sure. So glad we did. First of all, the restaurant itself is very elegantly done. Not too dim. The kitchen is open for all the patrons to see, and I like that aspect a lot. The service was impeccable. We had a great waiter; he was everything you would expect from a fine dining establishment. More importantly, however - the food. For appetizer, I had the Sweet Carrot Soup. This was absolutely amazing. Texture was velvety and smooth. It was not as sweet as the title suggests, which is a good thing, I think. It was very savory with a hint of sweet. Loved it. My husband got one of the weekly specials, Porter Peach Pork Belly. It was artfully placed atop warm corn pone. It was interesting to say the least (I tried his food, and we both agree). We've had better pork belly, but the peach purée went very well with it. The fail was the corn pone - very dry. Not sure if that's normal for corn pone, but we didn't like. Entree for me was the Ricotta Gnocchi with Summer Ratatouille. This was to die for. First of all, the gnocchi was crispier than you would probably be used to, but I now know that I prefer it that way. It gave it another texture and made it more interesting. Still creamy on the inside. Just delicious. My husband had the coffee rubbed tenderloin. He said it was cooked perfectly and wasn't too overpowering just a nice added coffee flavor. We both shared a side of the brown butter brussel sprouts, and these were the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. Buttery and charred to perfection. Dessert was the Honey Lavender Bread Pudding. Ummm, hello?! Heaven in a bowl for sure. Warm and comforting, and the golden raisins were just the right touch. Hubby got the chocolate sampler, which was a trio of devils food, truffle, and mousse all made in house. He said it was nothing over the top, but the fact it was homemade was pretty impressive. Juniper is a fantastic choice if you're into fine dining. I was so happy that we picked this place for our short weekend. Even the corn pone was not enough to make me think otherwise. Everything was just awesome.

Truly outstanding cuisine and the most professional, non-pretentious serving staff in Tulsa, OK .
(5)Justin P.

OUTSTANDING!!!! Have been to restaurant about 6 times in past year. Every visit has been exceptional.

Great food, winelist and atmosphere. Alexander was our waiter was excellent!
(5)Taylor M.

Popped into this place on a whim after walking around downtown to enjoy a drink and was not disappointed. My companion and I were impressed by the cool copper tables and overall modern yet cozy atmosphere. I order "the bees knees" cocktail which used house infused honeycomb vodka, lavender, lemon and sparkling water. I was very happy with my choice and my friend loved it too! The real star moment of the evening was the foie gras pbj dish. Just the name was enough to get me interested- who would eat foie gras with peanut butter? Turns out it's small slices of foie gras with an almond butter purée and strawberry preserve toped with greens on toasted brioche. (They did originally forget the greens, but that was quickly fixed by the waiter) I was shocked to find that this is a fantastic combination- definitely the most unique way I've eaten liver! Overall I had a lovely little culinary adventure. The flavors were new and fun to try. It was a bit on the pricy side, but If I'm ever in downtown Tulsa again I would stop by to try another cocktail.
(4)Dj R.
The food was very good but didn't blow me away. I expected the filet to be much more flavorful. The service was very good and the juniper martini was excellent
(4)Allison K.
(5)Sabrina H.

(5)Parker B.

Great food, excellent service, fabulous bar and drinks! We keep this restaurant on our faves list!

(5)A L.
The service, food and drink was all amazing and exceeded expectations. The layout is a little odd and kind of detracts from a romantic experience, but it does make it conducive to large parties.
(5)Pearse L.
Went here for a work lunch. Great food and well decorated decor. Kudos to the owners and managers.
(4)Ed J.

(5)Hunter H.
Everything was wonderful, from the infused drinks to the pork belly appetizers to our gnocchi and chicken dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Had an amazing dinner. Quality food and exceptional service

The food here was really good. I'm glad somebody knows how to cook like this in Tulsa. Yum for the day when I return to dine. Thanks.
(4)April W.
Fantastic. The duck was amazing as was the filet. Gracious service, relaxing atmosphere, stellar service. Can't wait to visit again.
(5)Kirk P.
On my first night in Tulsa I brought my date here and we couldn't have been more pleased with the meal. The steak was perfectly cooked, as was the duck. Prices were reasonable also, and plenty to do in the surrounding area.
(5)Frannie P.
My mom came to visit Tulsa from Austin for her birthday and we took her to Juniper for lunch. Best service we've had in Tulsa in a long time- thanks Cooper! Everything was delicious and perfect. No complaints and that's rare!
(5)Alexander D.

(5)Holly P.
I've been here two times in two weeks. I've only been for lunch and the food and service have been amazing both times! I'm pretty sure there is nothing bad on this entire menu! Definitely try the trout and the Brussel sprouts! You won't be disappointed
(5)Adam N.
Not bad, but not great. Caesar salad dressing itself was tasty, but odd candied onions made it strangely sweet. Duck 2 ways was one too many. The breast was perfectly cooked and amazing. But the other side with shredded duck meet and apple "strings" was again oddly sweet and ruined it for me. Looked like noodles, but the apples overpowered the duck. Would have preferred plain mash potatoes or sautéed veggies. Good service and quality, cheap bottled bear.

(4)Bill Y.
(5)Paul J.
Came into juniper today for a late lunch with some friends. The bartender was cooper, and he was amazing! The food was unbelievably savory, and very fresh. I would defiantly recommend it, and will return soon!
(5)Alexis G.
Had an absolutely delightful lunch at Juniper. It has a perfect balance of upscale but hip setting. Service was similarly professional without being snobbish. And the food and cocktails were uniformly superior. Highly recommend!
(5)Bruce E.
(5)Thomas J.
One of Tulsa's finest restaurants. Expect simple and elegant locally sourced cuisine made with love. They also have some great cocktails but as for me I will always go for the coffee it is truly exceptional!
(5)Lindsay O.
Food was good. Service was OK. Our waitress was new and we were a large party. Maybe they should start the new people on less complicated tables. Food was good, but nothing great.
(3)Casey M.
Loved everything we tried!
(5)H S.
(3)Benjamin P.
(4)Mandy S.
The fresh bread was a perfect start andI could have eaten the entire loaf. Chicken pot pie was just perfect. However, the cinnamon roll bread pudding stole the show and was out if this world!!! The service was far above standard and my water glass was always filled promptly...

Food was excellent. Great place to go before the PAC.

(5)Timmy T.
Always unique and adventuresome, Juniper brought it more traditional for Saturday brunch and with three simple dishes blew every other brunch in Tulsa away. Duck Confit omelette, Bison Burger smothered in over easy egg and cheese grits. Best brunch I have had in years.
(5)Caitlyn W.

Yum.

Excellent food! Must try the Carrot Soup...it is delish!!!!! Lavender bread pudding was also a fav and worth the wait!

(5)Josh J.
Bison burger was legit. Some of the best "quality" of food downtown
(5)Kimmy H.
Here's a place that would qualify as fine dining in an any North American city. And it's in TULSA.
(5)K T.
Great atmosphere, knowledgable staff and a creative chef! I have had dinner there 4 times nice they opened and have never been disappointed!
(5)Derrick L.
great food. i was originally skeptical about the restaurant because i got some bad looks when i walked in with my jean shorts on, but the hostess told me there wasn't a dress code and what appeared to be a floor-manager standing behind her was very welcoming. we sat in the bar area and had solid service. the food was on the pricer end which i'm assuming is due to the higher quality of product. the taste of my meal was fantastic. i'll definitely go back.
(4)Red B.

(4)Charlotte M.
We had not made reservations and called them they suggested seating in the bar. Great high top tables, great service, great food. All servers were very attentive to all patrons.
(5)Catherine W.
(5)Parker M.

(4)Pam M.
Who would think that coming to Tulsa would include a fine dining experience like Junipers. We started with a martini of course and the sweet carrot soup with crab and the tomato cucumber salad. Refreshing!!!! We had some yummy French wine and entrees of duck and scallops... So savory . Amanda was our server and she was fantastic! Her recommendations of the wine and creme brûlée were perfect . The atmosphere was perfectly romantic . We will be back!!!
(5)Heather D.
Go for the ambiance and the bartender Liz. The decor is adorable and the food and drink list is impressive. The sweet carrot soup is a must. I will definitely return next time I am in the Tulsa area.
(4)Paul S.
Perfect. I ordered the 5 course prix fixe menu and savored every bite. The portions were perfect so I did not feel stuffed at the end but just pleasantly satisfied. Apparently they just re-opened with new menu and decor. I was dining alone and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Now the food. It began with 2 jumbo lump crab and artichoke beignets. I had to ask how that works before I ordered but it did indeed. It was basically stuffed with out being doughy. Then a salad with some heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers and blue cheese that was refreshing with an edge. Next was a gnocchi with ratatouille that was light and delicious. The gnocchi perfectly cooked. Then duck 2 ways - breast meat with butternut squash purée and confit. Topping it all off was simple but refreshing ice cream and shortbread dessert. I enjoyed every bite. The service was very good - not particularly warm or up to the standard of the food - but sufficient. That is why I gave it 4 not 5 stars.

(5)Nyssa M.

(5)Anita C.
(4)Gary M.
(5)Wes P.
(5)Rod S.

(3)Rachel R.
Wow, wow, wow! We absolutely loved this place. I ordered the trout off the menu, and it was very clean-tasting and well-presented. Excellent service and a good cocktail selection as well. Worth the visit!

(5)Julie S.
(5)Johnny F.
(4)Simon T.
the best place for a great diner love the service and the food
(5)Andrew W.
Juniper was amazing!!! The duck was quacktastic! I've never tasted a bird so foulic!!!! The filet was boVINE!!!! The salmon spawn on!!!!!!

(5)Drew M.
(5)Scott R.
Juniper is probably a fine place for dinner and/or drinks, but I was a little "meh" on it. I feel a little bad about this review - we went to Juniper, we had drinks at Juniper, we probably spent 45-60 minutes at Juniper, and I didn't really get an impression of the place positive or negative. Sure, elements of the restaurant and décor looked good, what I saw of the food menu looked interesting, and our drinks were serviceable (though not over-the-top), but there was also nothing that really grabbed me about this place. The drinks menu featured a selection of $10 cocktails (de rigueur for upscale cocktail places) and there was a special on a cocktail that featured peach juice, which is what I had. We took up a high-top in the bar and ordered a round of drinks. They came, we drank them, and that was about it. If it weren't a spot we spent time at on our trip for which I'm writing a series of reviews, I wouldn't even have commented on it. And maybe that in itself is a comment - I'm neutral about this place. I wouldn't say it's a place I had to visit, and it's also not a place I had to avoid. The drinks were drinks, but there are other places that I would return to first to get a drink that have better atmosphere and drink variety. From the look of the place and the menu, this would probably be a good place to bring a date or to have a nice romantic dinner... but that's not why we were here. So, that's all I can really say about Juniper - it's a place. This is the eighth of a series of ~13 reviews about a weekend getaway in Tulsa.

(5)Paul M.
(5)Virginia H.

Loved loved this place. Great food. Incredible drinks. And fun friendly and knowledgable staff!! Definitely recommend those visiting Tulsa and have limited time to try many different places. More to post soon.

I dined at Juniper during a business trip, and had a fantastic experience. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and every course I had tasted exceptionally good. If I ever visit Tulsa again (which I'll admit is unlikely) then Juniper will be my first choice for dinner. Keep it up.
(5)Thom M.

Lesli, our server/waiter/foodie extraordinaire, was spectacular. And the filet was stupendous. If you have the chance, come dine at my personal favorite restaurant in Tulsa, OK. Simply the best. And try the Maple/Bacon ice cream. It. Will. Satisfy. All.
