Pros: I had a short lunch break between job interviews and this place was near my friend's home. I got the Carolina (pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw on top). The meat was melt in your mouth tender and the bun was insanely buttery. They had three BBQ sauces to choose from; couldn't decide so I tried them all. Loved them. The guys who work here are amazingly nice guys--super friendly and patient. Cons: My friends and I agree, this is such an odd location for this place--it's completely unassuming and doesn't draw the eye at all. We think that they might have more customers if they moved? Anyways, great BBQ. I want this business to thrive so this food will always be available to me.

Sparse crowd on a Monday. I had the 3 meat special - chopped brisket, pulled pork and hot links. Sides were bake beans and potato salad. Sides were very average. (Walmart level) Meat was just ok. Beef and pork were not very moist. Hot links were good. I'm not a sauce type but the wood house www decent. I did not bother trying the sweet. (Not a fan of sweet BBQ - argh) Pricing is up there for the 3 meat and amount you get. Parking to get there can be tough due to memorial drive as well.

Hard to believe a BBQ joint doesn't sell ribs... The staff was friendly but that's about the only thing it's got going for it. The meat didn't have much flavor to it and wasn't smokey at all, (maybe they bake their meat?) let's just say I won't be returning.

This is a bit of a hidden find in the more industrial part of town. I always have great service from these guys and this is easily one of my favorite lunch spots. For a classic pulled pork sandwich, there is no better place in town. Try the Woody's sauce, easily their best.

Since I'm always on the quest for good smoked meats I went to try the new Chop House BBQ at 41st and Memorial. We were warmly greeted by the staff who were very friendly and helpful. Nice! I had a 3 meat combo with sliced brisket, pulled pork and smoked sausage. My sides were baked beans and coleslaw, and the meal came with Texas Toast and pickle slices. The brisket was good, a mild smoked flavor and tender. The pulled pork was tender and moist but lacked smoke and bark. The sausage was good also, but nothing outstanding, and I enjoyed the sides. Overall, I was pleased with our meal at the Chop House, good barbecue and friendly service.

Chop House is only open for lunch right now, but they are hoping to expand hours once they build business. I thought it was good barbeque. I had the 2 meat combo with ribs and Spicy Cheese Sausage. Ribs were nice and tender, good smoky flavor. I liked the cheese sausage, a good middle of the road between smoked sausage and hot links. Beans were my favorite side. My wife had the pork sandwich. The pork is VERY moist and tasted good, but didn't have much of a "smoke" flavor. Three different sauces, a sweet one, a smoky one and the tearjerker. Smoky hit my taste buds just right. Very nice addition to the neighborhood, give it a try! They are very friendly people, and have a daily special for only 5.99 too.

Currently I have to say this is my favorite bbq in Tulsa. This might change but for now these guys chopped brisket is AWESOME. I have tried the chicken as well and didn't care for it too much but that's ok because I'm mostly all chopped or sliced brisket anyway when doing BBQ where ever. Excellent smokey flavor and the hickory mild sauce is just amazing as well. Favorite side so far is the potato salad. I've only been here twice but can definitely see myself going back a lot. Also one thing that kicks this up into a 5 star is not just the good food but the proprietor. I love being waited on by someone that really enjoys what they do, and the owner(I think) that runs the cash register is just awesome. When my wife and I went in there the first time and told him "Yeah first time here" haha we got high fives, that was cool. Also he asked "So how did you hear about us" I replied with "Well we were just driving by and decided to come check it out". Owner came back with "Oh, well we have a name for that, we call it 'FATE'" hahaha, which that owned too. So 5 stars for chop house, for the food as well as the great proprietor and great atmosphere. Good stuff, I expect you to do well. :)

Best pulled pork sandwich outside of Memphis! The bun was loaded with flavorful & tender meat- not at all fatty. Simply delicious and the slaw was especially good, too. Friendly staff and good blues music to enjoy your meal with. Definitely worth a stop next time we're in the area!
