Pros: Home made granola was amazing. I got the huevos rancheros which was decent, but I only managed to eat a quarter of it. My fiance got the eggs Benedict; he liked it. I felt there was something very off about the flavor and I could not take a second bite. Maybe there was some kind of spice or ingredient that I was responding to? I've never had that kind of reaction to any food before. Cons: crowded parking lot, long wait time, crowded waiting area, and small tables. They are a restaurant that serves breakfast, but they don't have fresh squeeze orange juice?

I had high hopes for Brookside By Day II after hearing several great things and reading all the positive reviews. I would say that 'average' is the best way to describe my experience at breakfast this morning. Nothing about BBDII stood out or made me feel compelled to make this a regular spot. We waited about five minutes for our table which gave us some time to browse the menu. I found it to be lacking in it's descriptions of some of the dishes, especially the ones with odd names. Some items had full descriptions and some did not, which seems strange...What is a Mickey Cake? Upon getting seated, we felt a little cramped since the tables are so close to each other. Multiple times the person sitting behind me at the next table bumped into me and we could literally hear every word of the conversations around us. Also, the tables themselves are tiled, but they must be old because the grout is brown and discolored which really gives the appearance of sitting at a dirty table. Once we got an order placed, we waited for at least 30 minutes for our food to arrive. That seems terribly excessive for two omelets. If I had known we were going to wait for chickens to lay the eggs before they cooked our meal, we probably would have went elsewhere. When the food did arrive, my girlfriend and I were underwhelmed with what we were given. The omelets were good, but nothing we couldn't whip up at home, and the 'home fries' are nothing more than frozen Ore Ida Country Style Hash Browns. The best part of the meal was the biscuits and gravy. All things considered, I have had better breakfast/brunch experiences at several other places around town so I doubt I will be back to BBDII. It wasn't terrible, it just did not live up to the expectations.

How have I never written a review for BBDII? What is there to say about this place.. lots of options, standard breakfast foods served at their finest. I personally love their Biscuits and Gravy. Biscuits are large and flaky, yet not at all hard. There's also something about the seasoning in the gravy, maybe the sausage, that just makes it so flavorful. The French Toast is another favorite. Heavy handed with the powdered sugar and I love it, plus its served with hot syrup. This place always has a line out the door, but its well worth the wait. Large groups are usually crowding the door, so its almost better if you go with just one other person. I do, however, like taking friends from out of town here. Despite how busy they are and the crowd, I've never had a poor experience or poor service. Great job BBII, you forever have my loyalty!

I think for a diner, they deliver what most people would expect. Basic home cooking, lots of coffee, and friendly people surrounding you. As a single, I would go sit at the bar next time unless you seriously want to stay isolated. I had the corned beef hash. I wouldn't order it again. It certainly wasn't a typical presentation but I won't take away points for that. Their omelettes looked really good. They have something like 60 different bottles of hot sauce available, server yourself. This is definitely my kind of place. Pepper heaven. Like I said, for the area, and breakfast, I would recommend it.

South Tulsans must not go to church, because unlike other breakfast establishments, this place was packed when we arrived around 9:15. The wait to be seated wasn't that bad though, as I'm sure they are used to the crowd and push for a high turn over. Have been looking for a good Sunday brunch place in the area and completely forgot that Brookside by Day had a south location. Same standard offerings and operation as the Brookside location, same great quality too. I'm always intrigued about their specials, but tend to stay with the basics. Had the corned beef has breakfast, which comes with 2 eggs and choice of toast. I was surprised when I was told about how the hash is made and what ingredients are in it. Which meant that it was made to order and not the hash in a can mix that some places served. There were real big chunks of actual corned beef mixed with hashbrowns, onions and peppers. And while hash was traditionally used to stretch out the use of a more expensive protein but mixing it with a bunch of filler, I can say that this isn't the case here. If was roughly half meat and half veg. Eggs were cooked perfectly to order. Nice bread for toast. Also got a side of grits to help fill me up and those were tasty as well. Can be a bit on the pricey side, but well worth the price and the wait.

What a great variety of choices for breakfast. My wife prefers healthier fare for an athlete while I need bacon with everything. Fun décor, great coffee, and more varieties of hot sauce than I knew existed. We will be back again this weekend..

You know that voice in your head? The one that tells you..."this is a bad idea"... Don't lie you have had that moment, that one time when you kept telling yourself to just skip the what the locals suggest and go straight to IHOP or Denny's. I'm not even going to attempt giving a full review for this place, I asked for fresh fruit, I got berries straight out of the freezer and thrown in the microwave limp, sorry, bland fruit. My Sorry excuse for hash was disappointing, but what really did it was the curdled lab experiment that these guys called a hollandaise. Nothing memorable here, get an egg McMuffin at the drive though, your day will be off to better start.

I was expecting a greasy spoon breakfast but I was surprised to find the food and service great.

Whether it be breakfast or lunch BBD2 has yet to disappoint. The Eye Opener omelette and the Country Benny are my personal favorites. I hope one day to have enough room in my belly left for a cinnamon roll.

I have always loved the food and atmosphere. Today, I waited 25 minutes for my food, 8 minutes for my check and may never return.

We absolutely love this place and eat here every Sunday. Consistent great good, good service, feel like you are apart of the family, have so many hot sauces you can't even count them all! Love the Bootcamp Tulsa scramble which is now a staple at BbDII and their bacon is a must try! You have to try this joint out!

Tired of waffles and pancakes, I decided to give their Granola a try. I've had a lot of rotten granola in my day, but this was completely different. Try it with the Vanilla Yogurt and Fruit plate. Another thing I enjoy is taking a look at their Hot Sauce Bar. They have over 100 different kinds of hot sauce lined up on a shelf. The names are crazy, as much as the flavors. Definitely the best breakfast joint in town.

I have to borrow a line from last weeks episode of The Office- This is one deuce that I will never drop. Bigger and more spacious than the original BBD, the service and food is excellent. I had the chicken, jalapeno, tomato, and swiss omelette with a side of home fried and a biscuit and gravy. So good, so great, so hot. Superior to the original.

I've always assumed that it's part of life to have at least one unenjoyable experience when you frequent a restaurant. You are bound to catch them on an off day if you are constantly going in. However, BBDII has proved me wrong. I am constantly craving BBD II's breakfast and they literally never disappoint me. Every server is welcoming and amazing. They check in on you just the right amount and my coffee never gets close to empty or cold. Is there a better florentine omelette in Tulsa? I highly doubt it. And I live for their home fries. It also doesn't hurt that they have a wall of hot sauce and I am actually a hot sauce addict when it comes to breakfast. They even make toast wonderful and exiting. Keep doing you, BBD.

Sooooo good! You can beat BBD or BBD II for the best plate of breakfast anywhere in T-town. This place is always busy from opening to closing and that's a great sign. The omelets are heavenly, the pancakes fast like grand ma made them, and there are sure to be some interesting option on the menu for you. My go-to is steel-cut oatmeal with walnuts, raisins, and honey, fresh fruit, and a buckwheat pancake. Stop reading this and go get some breakfast!

I'm not from Tulsa but was taken here by a local and I'm glad I was. I felt like I was almost walking into someone's house (despite being in a strip mall). Everything about this place was casual and relaxed. The waiter we had was awesome and was genuinely happy to give you the delicious experience of BBD. We ended up chatting quite a bit throughout the meal. He kept on coming back with coffee, which I desperately needed, to make sure it was hot. With the recommendation of my friend and the waiter, I ordered the huevos rancheros. It was ammaaazzziiing. Cheesy, beany (I know that's not a word but bear with me), and spicy goodness over some really fresh tortillas. Did I mention that they have a thousand hot sauces? Seriously, you'd have to eat there everyday for the rest of your life to try them all. I tried a cherry hot sauce that added a nice sweetness to the kick of the jalapeños in the huevos rancheros. I wish wherever I went there was a BBD.
