Excellent catfish. Wife had the brisket which she loved. Red beans are cooked to perfection and both the BBQ sauces we tasted were delicious. Make the drive to Winstar a few times a year and from now on we'll be stopping in to eat here.

the chicken fell right off the bone n juicy sausage was great and paired with a spicy bbq sauce which was heavenly. catfish has a really great flavor to it n it didnt have a greasy feel even its fried. im thoroughly impressed. i guess i came kinda late...the sides on the salad bar didnt look very fresh.. kinda crusty to be honest. but the meat portion of it was great. the peach cobbler wasnt very good. the peach cobbler itself was very very mushy, almost no peach, just all dough. but the staff was super friendly and helpful, id come back here.

Love this place, today was our second time here. The smoked chicken was awesome. The brisket and ribs are great too! My husband had the catfish and shrimp plate and he really enjoyed it. The owners are really friendly. We will definitely be coming back!

This was some of the BEST catfish ever! So fresh and perfectly fried! Worth the stop!

I'm glad I stopped in after leaving the casino. I ordered the 3 meat plate, the ribs were very good, the brisket was outstanding and the sausages had a good flavor. The spicy bbq sauce is amongst the best I've tasted.

All you can eat fried catfish was great! The sides were not that tasty but you get plenty of catfish and great service

LOVE their food. Generous servings, everything is great. Only "problem" is that the restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays so we've totally had to miss out on our last two trips to Winstar casino.

Chose this restaurant as a possible dinner spot on return drive home to Dallas after noticing it on the way up to Arbuckle area. Before pulling the trigger and making it the final choice, I tried to find out what time they closed, as it was a Sunday evening. Found 3 different closing times on various social media - 7:00, 8:30 and 9:00 PM. We pulled into the parking lot at 6:30 and were surprised to see only 2 cars, then noticed hours posted on sign indicated that they close at 7:00 on Sundays. We figured since we were already there and hungry, we would go in and see what the situation was. Walked back to the serving line, and asked politely if we were too late for dinner, and were cheerily told that there was still plenty of time (despite half of the tables in the dining room having their chairs turned upside down on the tabletop). We decided to have the BBQ, and all 3 of us ordered brisket and sausage plates. I was the first one in line and specifically told the carver that would like my brisket from the leanest part of the cut. He quickly said "oh, that's just the top cap...I won't give you that!". When I got to the table and started to cut my first bite of brisket, I discovered that there was nothing lean about it at all. It was tough and full of fat, and in my opinion was completely inedible. I managed to find less than 5% of what had been served to me that was actually not completely fat. My dining companions' brisket was just as bad as mine. In fairness to the restaurant, the sausage was actually quite good and I enjoyed the sauce, although for what was supposed to be the "spicy" option it had no heat or kick to it whatsoever. Also in partial fairness to the restaurant, we did not complain to the staff about our dissatisfaction with the brisket quality. Even though the staff had encouraged us that it was not too late to order (and spend our money with them), several time we heard a staff member say to us (and a couple of other tables that also arrived even later that us) something that directly referenced the fact that they were about to close. Based on that and not seeing any other alternate brisket pieces on the serving line when ordering, we decided it really wouldn't do a whole lot of good to complain. For almost $20.00 a person, I seriously doubt that I would ever stop here again. Rudy's BBQ in Denton is only about 40 minutes south and can always be counted on to provide a great, satisying meal.

Yum! First time here, great food and service. The owners where very nice as we came in and helped go over the menu and answered questions we had. It's all homemade food made from scratch. The brisket, sausage, and ribs where very good cooked on pecan wood which added a nice flavor. They have two sauces. One of the sauces is spicy and one a sweet type....both where great! We enjoyed the sides we had too. The baked beans surprised me, very nice flavor of sweet with a very slight spice or pop to them. We also had the mashed potatoes and green beans. The mashed potatoes where very good...red potatoes whipped with real cream. We never got to try the deserts because we where too full! I had the 3 meat plate, and she had the two meat plate....two is plenty but had to try as much as I could. We will be back!

This place is AMAZING! I had the fried catfish and it was delicious and fresh. Also, the coleslaw and potato salad was homemade and just as good. To top it off, I had the best mexican vanilla ice cream I've ever had. I highly recommend this place. It is way better than any food at the winstar and it's right next door. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

Have eaten here many times. Sometimes the BBQ is some of the best I've had and sometimes just ok. A little inconsistent but if you hit it on a good day when it's just off the smoker it's awesome! They also serve you fresh baked rolls. They just starting making pizza now. We tried a BBQ pizza with sausage, brisket and pulled pork and they loaded it up. 2 pieces and your done! But it was pretty good. The restaurant is big and roomy with large tables and its always clean. Workers always friendly and they have homemade ice cream which I've never had enough room to try.

Right before Winstar Casino is an overlooked BBQ spot. It never looks busy but don't let that deter you from stopping in. The restaurant has the country flare inside and out. Be prepared for some good BBQ (brisket, ribs, sausage, pulled pork), good sides, pies, cakes, drinks, deviled eggs and lots of other little things. BBQ sauce is good. Even if you're in a rush to the casino give this spot a try. You won't regret it.

Wonderful place to stop, whether you're headed to/from the casino or driving up I-35. We were there in the middle of the afternoon, so it was deserted, but that's OK because we got great service. Not only were they very patient while we decided what to order, 2 employees stopped by the table while we were eating to be sure everything was OK. 2 of us got the catfish and 2 got the sliced brisket and we were all happy with our meals. We bought some Amish jam while we were there and it is very good, also.

I question the sanity of my fellow yelpers on this one. Maybe they were desensitized by the flashing lights or ringing left in their ears from sitting at Winstar. Maybe they were road worn from their travels and their tastebuds had finally fallen asleep like so many unruly toddlers. At any rate, this place is truly terrible. I should have known when the man asked which BBQ sauce I wanted my brisket drenched in, that maybe it wasn't going to be the finest. The sides, the works, none of it was particularly good. If you have to stop, maybe stick to fried foods? I don't know. Don't stop.

We came here for lunch after an over night at the Winstar. There wasn't a soul here and we thought they were closed but sure enough they were open. Friday special is dried catfish. Today, Saturday, is chicken fried steak. It was HUGE and delicious. The owner was so friendly and welcoming. We had a nice quiet delicious lunch in a utilitarian atmosphere. I bet his place is hopping in the evenings...
