The owners are friendly, clean dining and the food is hot. A little lackluster on flavor but I do like the fact you can see your food getting cooked.

We've eaten here a couple of times in the past year, essentially every time we're in town. I used to eat here when I lived in Shawnee, but it's since moved to a much larger location next door. The omelettes and potatoes are good here, but the real find is the amazing toast. I've never had such delicious toast anywhere. I don't know what they do, but it's buttery toasty perfection, and I almost want to just order toast each time we go. The service is excellent. Highly recommended for breakfast.

The best place for breakfast. It's very friendly as well. The cheers of restaurants. It's where everybody knows your name and they talk to you like your family. My crew visits this place at least twice a week.

So here we go. We have been eating here since it was on the corner. Great breakfast. The staff is always pleasant. The food is really good. My favorite is the west side breakfast. Hash browns, with sausage, bell peppers, and onions on top then 2 eggs on top of that. Toast or biscuits and gravy on the side. How can you go wrong with that?

Sunny Side Up holds a soft place in my heart. Back in 2010, long before I had the thought that I might one-day become a resident of Shawnee, OK, I happened upon a seedy little breakfast joint, located in the upper echelon end of town. Mind you, in those days, the restaurant was located in the downscale, adjacent building to the current location. Nevertheless, I was taken by the charm of that "greasy spoon" that afforded me my first experience of the midwest/southern breakfast tradition known as the "Garbage Plate." While nothing short of elegant, the namesake plays a soft foreshadowing of an "anything goes" breakfast experience like you've never known. Fast forward a mere four years, I find myself seated in the booth of an upscale breakfast diner, being served by the most beautiful waitress that creation has laid eyes on. While the "Garbage Plate" has been more appropriately re-named the "Westside Breakfast," for the most part, the management has changed but the food has stayed the same. With solid food offerings and under-valued prices, Sunny Side Up is a definite contender for Best Breakfast in Shawnee. I'd love to see more effort on the scrambled egg spectrum (Scrambled Eggs don't suck at MY HOUSE, but they do seem to at every breakfast joint from here to tim-buck-too)..bottom line: crack eggs into a cold pan, than stir like you're making a risotto. Mass cracked egg dumped on a hot flat blows, I don't care who you are. In any case, low prices and speedy service make Sunny Side Up my favorite among the local contenders that I've sampled, and I wouldn't mind keeping it that way. Keep an eye on quality and see if there's any room for improvement (grumpy waitresses, I'm talking to you) and you'll easily rise above the typical dive in Shawnee 'Merica. Thanks for the good meals, good service, and good times!

The food here is great unless you expect something with flavor. I was disappointed that everything is cooked with no seasoning. The toast was a little tough to tear with your teeth. A lot of the customers seemed to be self righteous OBU wanna be valley girl type of kids or in the prime of their geriatric years. A friendly tip: Keep a knife for toast and a shaker of Mrs. Dash for food and you will have meal that will possibly sustain life until you find the nearest city. Don't run out of gas in Shawnee!
