This review should have been written long ago; last time I visited Smokeys was around July before it closed for remodeling which I can't wait till they open again. I always get the same thing; All you can eat catfish with cheese fries, tartar sauce and Louisiana sauce, I can't get enough of it. Been a loyal customer since last year, as soon as they open I'll be there to greet the new owners. If catfish is your thing this is the best on the whole Oklahoma county.

I got the pulled chicken special. Loved the sauces and food. Had a hard time getting the waiter to refill our water cups. Recommend getting the food and sauces to go.

Pulled pork was unique...not in a good way. No smoke, no char...Plenty of better bbq joints in the area.

The food is worthy of 5 stars the service is about a 3 so, I'll compromise and give these guys 4 stars. The BBQ turkey club on Texas toast is great, the Liberty Bell philly is great and the hamburgers are really good. I would come here for nothing more than the homemade potato chips, they're outstanding! They must have trouble finding wait staff because I've never seen more than one so, it gets slow when they're crowded. Good BBQ!

I go here for lunch a lot. I always get a sandwich with fries or their homemade chips. I did eat a rib dinner there some time back and remember being impressed with that as well. They have great service and the food has always been fresh. One of the best BBQ places I have eaten at for sure.

I had read reviews about this place and how great their food is supposed to be so last night I had a chance to try it along with 12 of my friends...I ordered the 3 meat create your own dinner with chopped brisket, pulled pork and hot link , okra and cole slaw. The service was good but when the waitress sat that small plate in front of me, my mouth dropped open...The food at best was mediocre...To those that rave about how good their BBQ is, all I can say is that you've never had good BBQ.. The small amount of pulled pork was cold and tasteless, the small amount of chopped brisket was tasteless and the small amount of hot link was just that. What really surprised me was that I paid $14.95 cents for a plate of BBQ that didn't have enough meat on it to make a decent sandwich.. My partner had also ordered the create your own dinner with 3 meats, onion rings and french fries. The meats on his plate were the same portion size as mine , SMALL. The onion rings were just ok ,nothing special about them. Several in our group got sandwiches and from looking at their plates if you didn't mind eating a loaf of bread with you meal then go for it . This is not a place I could recommend to anyone and it certainly IS NOT good quality BBQ.....

Drafting my review as I'm currently sitting at Smokeys for lunch before I head into work for the day. I'm here alone, so don't question my table etiquette. It's my second time here, and I've been impressed both times. Well, maybe impressed isn't the correct word. I haven't been let down. A few weeks ago I ordered the brisket sandwich, if I recall correctly. The meat the well smoked, flavorful and moist. Aroused by the deliciousness of the meat? Sure you are. Today I ordered a sandwich called The Bricken toaster. Judging by the chatter of the restaurant staff/management it was introduced to the menu today, and I'm the 2nd guy to purchase it. (It was an empty restaurant and the management was in the booth right behind me. I wasn't f***ing eavesdropping on purpose). Essentially, it was a grilled cheese sandwich with smoked chicken and brisket. It came with a side of fries. As a grilled cheese sandwich connoisseur, it ranks very high on my list and I know grilled cheese sandwiches. I've eaten a cheese sandwich on a hillside in Micronesia, at a gas station in Florida, even in my room made using an iron. My list of best grilled cheese sandwich restaurant joints in Oklahoma city. Motochef This place The Mule(yep) My place(if you're a good looking lady and aroused by smoked meats)(I'm not desperate)(screw you). This place has a family vibe, great customer service, as I was asked how I was doing by 3 different employees. It doesn't have much curbside appeal. But it's very clean and modern inside, and food to match.

I am extremely picky about bbq and I am a diehard swadleys fan. But, my bf and I were in the mood to try something new and this place is walking distance. To be honest, considering the curb appeal and neighborhood, I wasn't expecting much. That being said, I walked in and instantly thought the place was cute, quaint and charming. The owner immediately greeted and seated us. We sat down in the cute, cute booth. Actually, we didn't know he was an owner until the end of the meal (embarrassing). He served us and told us that they hand make all the desserts, sauces, sides and meats there. Impressive. We ordered. I've never experienced more meat on ribs. Especially meat that was so consistently juicy and tender. The pulled pork was juicy and smokey, same with the brisket. None of it was gristly or fatty. It was extremely obvious that they use a high quality of meat. Their sides were delicious and very obviously not canned or frozen. The service was incredible and the place itself was super cute. I personally like my bbq sauce pretty sweet and none of their selections of sauce were sweet. But, that is just personal preference. No one has ever topped Swadley's for me but everything about this place makes it a close second. Give me a sweeter sauce option and I'm theirs for good.

Had a good hot, fresh & greasy BBQ Rodeo burger. My pepsi was flat, but they didn't charge me for it, so that was cool. Friendly spot. I should come baxk & try the brisket.

I like this place. Unpretentious decent barbecue, casual dining, decent prices. Would eat here again. They passed my philly cheesesteak test with an A-, so they get a thumbs up for that.

Delicious ribs available with three different kinds of sauce. Great green beans that have a hint of garlic. Philly Cheesesteak sandwich was great. We tried the mild and Carolina sauces, both were good.

I love BBQ. . . My BBQ Loving Hubby and I used a Groupon and decided to try a meat sampler with a baked potato. The meat was cool - not hot - and tasted "not fresh." It was just ok. The sauces while we tried them before the dinner came were tasty; however, when combined with the dinner did not compliment any of the meats we were served. We tried the sliced brisket, turkey, pulled pork, hot links and ordered one rib on the side. The rib was the best of the meats but nothing to write home about. I think they need to redo their sauces and keep the meats warm somehow without drying out. The baked potato was delish - steaming hot. The baked beans tasted straight out of a can and the cole slaw was just so so.

Not just great BBQ, but also really good diner food. My boyfriend just loves BBQ and could eat it everyday if it were possible. I on the other hand, enjoy it but I like mix it up a bit. I usually go for there pulled pork sandwich, or there ribs, my boyfriend goes for the sliced brisket. On the times that I don't feel like bbq, the diner part really makes up for it. I lived in Philadelphia for awhile, yes I tried the famous "philly cheesesteak" sandwich in many places while I was there, but I must say, Smokey's BBQ & Diner has one of the best I ever had. I don't know if it's the way the season it, or whatever they put into it but my god, it's unbelievable. Anyway I highly recommened this place. Good eats!
