    Very good pizza, my second favorite in the city. It's more upscale than Empire Slice and has a better wine/drink selection but the pizza isn't quite as good. Still great though, I'll definitely be going back.

    How can I say this..... This is my FAVORITE pizza place in OKC. I'm actually having my birthday party here in a couple of weeks. They have these awesome long tables in the bar area that are able to seat 30 people. The pizza itself is wonderful and comes out super fast and hot. Try the Margerita. You won't be disappointed. The mozzarella cheese is fresh and I've never tasted better. I think they're trying to work out some call ahead seating situation, because they have really really long wait times at dinner. But if you are able to go early, it'll probably work out better. If you get there and the wait time is long, the bar is a great place to spend your time waiting. They have awesome beer selections and great cocktails. I would say this is one of my top five favorite places in OKC. :)

    Very cool restaurant! Pizza is good, and they have a unique menu. I've been here twice and plan on making it part of my regular rotation. Also has a beautiful al fresco area. Try the hot wings and keep and ear out for specials.

    This place is amazing! I'm a huge pizza snob and this place exceeded expectations! Here's the low-down. The food: Our party of 6 tried 4 different pizzas and 4 appetizers. The margarita and mushroom pizzas were especially good. The mozzarella cheese was fresh and delicious, just like in Italy. The mushroom pizza had lots of unique mushrooms. It was very gourmet! I was also surprised how big they were. There is definitely enough for two people to share, although the pizza is so good you might not want to! For appetizers we had the short rib gnocchi, beet salad, bruschetta, and fried artichokes. The short rib gnocchi and beet salad were especially good in my opinion. The atmosphere: Wow, industrial, rustic, modern, but cozy. It is a beautiful space and a great use of it. The ceilings are tall, which gives it sort of a loft feel that I love. There is community seating by the bar that is really nice. Tip: check here if the waitlist is long, we were able to grab seating without waiting on a Saturday night, thus avoiding the 45-minute wait. The drinks: We had wine and the selection was good. Overall, A+. I'll be back!

    It's as good as I'd hoped. Great atmosphere (love those chandeliers), great food, great service and the price is on point. Gusto's menu reminds me of one of my favorite restaurants ever (Osteria Marco, Denver), so I know I'll be back many times. We shared the fried calamari, a four cheese pizza + arugula and prosciutto, and affogato and cappuccinos for dessert. I'd probably try a different appetizer next time; the calamari batter was a little bit much (kind of tasted like a blooming onion), but it was still okay. The pizza was great. We took two slices home and they heated up just fine. The affogato was unique, and I can think of no better way to enjoy espresso than with gelato and donuts. Gusto also has a delicious chili oil you should add to your pizza if you like a bit of heat. Go and enjoy!

    So far, my favorite of all the pizza places that have popped up on the NW side of town. I'm not usually a fan of thin crust pizza but theirs is too good to find fault with. I ordered the lunch special of pizza and salad. The proportion was just right. I decided to go out on a limb and tried the special pizza of they day which had butternut squash, grilled turkey, caramelized onions, goat cheese, a drizzle of chili sauce and some other things I can't remember, and I was not disappointed, it was in fact, slightly amazing how good it was.

    A strong 4 star review. The pictures aren't as cool as it really is inside. This place is legit. In the past many years, 23rd Street has improved and improved as far as restaurants. Many of them are nice additions, adding to the vibrancy and variety of the area. Very few of them are so tasty and unique that they help buoy and define the area as a legitimate culinary destination. Cheever's. Guernsey Park. Pizzeria Gusto. High praise? Yes. Is the food super mind blowing? Nah, 4-stars. Is it creative, homey-yet-nice, delicious with attention to detail and quality ingredients? You bet your aioli it is. The service was fine, in a good way. Nothing bad, nothing great. The building is cool from the outside. Nice amount of lot and street parking available. Comfortable atmosphere. VERY good pizza. I had the daily special pizza, so I forget the name. Not helpful, I know. But check their menu online and if you think you might like it, make the drive. It was a very nice experience. Nice enough to take a client.

    I've visited this place several times and love it. There are plenty of great pizza places in OKC but this place offers neapolitan style pizza that is very tasty and they serve great apps and drinks. It will get better and busier as other businesses open around the area. Most of the servers I've had were inexperienced. What a place to learn. I like that the restaurant has servers that are learning the trade. They will only get better. I got my credit card double charged and when I called about it I left a message and received a return call from a manager who tracked down my bill and promptly refunded my card. The server put the total on the tip line. That's how it happened. However, the attention I received to get this fixed established trust with the business. The pancetta pizza and gnocchi are two of my favorite items so far. Try them out and let me know. :)

    This place was fantastic. As you walk in there is a decent waiting area so you're not stuck awkwardly standing at the front of the waiting area waiting for people to leave so you can have a seat. Although when it gets busy this might be what you will have to do. Unless you wait outside. They don't take reservations for parties less than 10 so be careful when you make reservations. Since this is a fairly new place you'll have to deal with a massive crowd on occasion. The interior is really clean and the atmosphere is great. The wait staff were attentive and accommodating. They even offered us a drink menu while we waited for our table. Now to the food. We started with three appetizers; arancini, bruschetta, and calamari. All of which were delicious. I highly recommend all three. Then we decided on the mushroom pizza, four cheese, and the chicken pizza. All three were delicious. But the mushroom pizza was my favorite. You just can't go wrong with truffle oil. Despite the long wait for a table, my overall experience was excellent. Don't miss out!

    Got the Arancini appetizer and it was delicious! Tried the chicken pizza and salmon pizza. Both were so good! Caesar salad was also tasty. The pizzas take 90 seconds to cook. So food came out really fast, even on a Friday night on opening week. Would definitely come back. Beer selection is good, too.

    Amazing dining experience from the start! The transformation of the building is stunning in itself and the pizza sets a new standard in our fair City. The survive is awesome ( we adored Larz, who was extremely knowledgable, prompt and nice.) Their calamari is the best in OKC, the chicken pizza was spectacular and the dessert- the ricotta donuts- there are no words. Don't pass up this gem!

    Good Lord, I'm happy I don't live close to here because I would be a million pounds by now. Margherita the Queen is the best pie I've had so far in OKC. The crust is thin enough to not be too filling, so eating an entire pizza by yourself isn't crazy. The atmosphere here is great- lots to observe in terms of people and cooking. I wish cocktails here were more affordable, but The Pump next door can solve that issue with pre- or post-dinner drinks.

    Pizzeria Gusto has a cute atmosphere with plenty of seating. There is even a new patio in the back of the restaurant. It has plenty of shade and a tall fence around it to block out wind. The menu offers several kinds of pizza, pasta, salads, and appetizers. I was very impressed with the staff and the manager who came by to check on us. Great wine, too!

    Alright to start, let me just preface that we were hangry-- as I put it, I was bristling with hanger-- so honestly I would have eaten anything and been pretty satisfied. That being said, holy god, that was incredible. We began with the olive and flatbread starter and the spinach arugula salad with fennel, ricotta, pumpkin seeds and a mouth-watering vin. Both were excellent with wonderfully large portions, especially for the price. They weren't stingy with the flatbread either; we didn't feel like we had to pace ourselves what with the olive to bread ratio. The salad too wasn't shy with its size, which I didn't mind at all considering I could've probably devoured a small country or region, at least. But anyways, moving on to the main event. The pizza. My boyfriend was especially interested in Pizzeria Gusto because of the Neapolitan styling, and even he, whom I consider to be something of a food wizard, was damn pleased-- "I was hoping it was going to be as good as it ended up being" (that's a quote, in case the quotation marks were a bit ambiguous). We ended up getting two pizzas-- thank you indecision and ravenous hunger-- Margherita the Queen and the Italian Sausage. We thought the Margherita would be a good constant variable, a classic commonality, making it easy to compare with others. Yeah, this thing is called the Queen for a reason: super bright, tangy tomato sauce, paired with a rich and creamy buffalo mozzarella-- exactly how it's supposed to be. And then the Italian Sausage, with crumbled sausage (which we loved, specifically) and red onion and this seriously astounding pesto broccoli rabe that-- and I've never sounded more pretentious in my life-- was totally cerebral; in spite of all the powerhouse flavors, you still got those broccoli-basil notes wafting above it all. Color us impressed. Also, our server Phil was great. Personable. Attentive. Enthusiastic. And the garden patio setting was lovely; the general public feared the outside swamp, giving us a private dining experience. So do yourselves a favor and go. Just go. Thank us later. (We accept flowers and personal check) TL;DR: FOOD WAS GREAT AND CREATIVE. SERVICE AND SETTING WAS SPOT ON. GO.

    First off let me just say that staff makes any dining experience all the more enjoyable. We ate at the bar and our bartender, Rustin, was perfect! He was very attentive without being overwhelming. He explained each drink and made sure we were never without. 5 stars to this young gentleman. As for the restaurant, I was very impressed with the space. I liked the colors, the atmosphere was warm without being stuffy, and even with a full restaurant, I felt it was never too noisy. I generally judge Italian places or in this case pizza places, on two things. First, the Caprese. I found the mozzarella to be a bit firm for my liking. The cherry tomatoes used are a nice substitution for the typical Roma, and I enjoyed the oil and spices they were tossed in, but would recommend that the Basil be placed on the cheese so as not to wilt in the oil. My second point of judgment comes on the cheese pizza. However, I went meatball here and was not disappointed. The dough used was very light and the oven seems to be a good investment. Of course it better be when all you serve is pie! I'm a fan of this place and will definitely be back. They might want to widen the wine selection a bit but I think they are consciously in the under $100 bottle with most in the $35-$50 range for a demographic reason and therefore I have no complaint. I'm looking forward to trying the wings as well and if I live in OKC, this would be a regular stop. Great job Gusto!

    There is something to be said for eating a meal in a kitchen. Pizzeria Gusto offers such a vibe. While there are regular tables and booths available, I highly recommend getting a seat either at the bar or facing the oven. It's wonderful to witness the art of freshly oven baked pizza. My friend who has been to Italy expressed that this is one of the better Italian places in town. Personally, I enjoy the cappuccino. Don't get me wrong, the food is great, but a good cup of cappucino makes it better.

So why the 5 stars (aside from the obvious attempt to make fun of Brent K's review)? Well, not much unlike McConaughey, I didn't do it to be cool. I didn't do it to make a statement.     A few of my coworkers and I went here for lunch. We were excited about a new pizza place as we are big fans of Empire Slice in the Plaza District of OKC, but get tired of the lunch time traffic. Gusto was a very nice and trendy. We were looking forward to the lunch special of pizza and salad, but our excitement was dashed when we found out you could only get the pizza of the day which was BBQ or margherita pizza. I have had too many bad experiences with BBQ pizza, so I opted for the pasta with onions, cherry tomatoes, basil and spinach. My meal was good, but was very small and needed a side of bread which wasn't included, to complete it. My waitress offered a small plate of bread, at an additional cost, which was very good. My coworker got the small plate of meatballs, which consisted of four meatballs for $10, he got two pieces of bread with his! My other coworker got the lunch special despite his frustration about the pizza selection. The wait staff we had was nice and helpful. Our food was brought out quickly and we were treated well. All in all the food was good, but not impressive for the cost (yes, I think $10-12 is to much for lunch). I may go back just for the pizza and reevaluate my rating.

    Been here probably ~4-5 times. Food is admittedly pretty good (lamb pizza esp) but wow the service is horrible. We just had an assisting server who was high as a kite - slurring, bumbling, creepy high. Food was cold. Two plates came out ten minutes after the others. I could go on. Really annoying and kinda gross service. Unfortunately it'll be a long time before I can go back here.

    Our family stopped by here for lunch and absolutely loved it. We had the meatballs, fried artichokes, and a margarita pizza. Everything was excellent. We will definitely be back! The pizzas are unique in that they cook at 900° in just two minutes. This means you can eat several family-style altogether, or eat them separately as different courses. The craft beers on draft are also excellent. Today I had a milk stout. We are going to come back here soon with friends for dinner. Definitely a spot you don't want to miss!

    Lovely experience at Pizzeria Gusto! The atmosphere is great and service was good, too! (I tried to joke with the waiter a little but he wasn't really getting my sense of humor though--totally OK!) Started off with FANTASTIC cocktails (The Roman Holiday) and carried on to apps (Lamb Chops, Arancini, and Fried Artichoke) and they were all delicious! My husband is a lamb chop connoisseur and said they were great for an app! I loved the Arancini but what's not to love about fried, gooey, cheesy, rice balls? The artichoke was good, but not my favorite out of the apps we tried. (I would have added some fresh parm in the batter to salty it up a little. ;-) The pizza selection is really great, too. Between the group at our table we had the Curry Chicken, Meatball, Sopresatta, and Marg pizzas -- very good! They make their own mozzarella--I could have eaten that in itself! Can't wait to bring out-of-towners at least for a drink! Kudos To the owners bringing another great place to OKC!

    Ok, so for reference, I lived in Napoli or Naples, or whatever you want to call it for a year, and have rather extensive experience with the tasting and munching of Napolitano Pizza. I wanted to try this place for weeks before making it over there, so perhaps my expectations were too high. But this is how it went down... We got there for lunch on a Thursday, and it was modestly attended. The bar portion of the restaurant is really neat. It has a hip décor with a crazy chandelier. the front where we sat seemed kind of more like and addition to the building, and is a bit different setting, but still nice with plenty of windows. The Hostess and Waitress were both prompt and helpful. I ordered the lamb pizza on the waitress's recommendation, and it was a bit pricey at $16. Some of the dessert items were $9, which in my mind is fairly ridiculous. Maybe they're really big, but I was already in it close to $20 for lunch, so I refrained from ordering the dessert. The thing about Napolitano pizza is that it's usually really cheap, because it's just a piece of flatbread cooked really fast in a brick oven at high heat. In Italy the ingredients are really simple, but delicious: Great roma tomato basil sauce, fresh mozzarella di bufala, some basil leaves, and possibly something like Italian sausage or prosciutto or spicy salami slices. It's like the Italian Fish'n'chips wrapped in newspaper. We're talking like a dollar or two, certainly no more than $5 in today's Euros. Pizzeria Gusto has chosen instead to go more gourmet and elaborate with the most of the topping combinations a la American chef palate, and elevate the price of all options to several multiples of what this would cost in Italy. I'm not sure I like this approach to Napolitano pizza. Even the Margherita is like $10. And the taste of Napoletano crust is really simple. It's not really designed for crazy topping flavor combinations. It's sort of like eating caviar and quail eggs on a saltine cracker. So, what I ordered didn't really remind me of Pizza Napolitano at all. My pizza came out, and of the 3 our table ordered, it was the only one that was visibly overcooked. The crust should have some char on it, but mine was black for most of the way around the pizza, so it was a luck of the draw thing, but mine was pretty burnt. It was still pretty good. The lamb was good, and the topping combination wasn't bad. I don't feel it went all that well with the crust though. Overall, it wasn't bad, but the Margerita is really an 8", max $5 pizza. I can't bring myself to spend $10 on it, and if I wanted a busy pizza on more suitable busy pizza crust for much less, I'd go to Hideawcallay. So I don't see myself coming here very often. The concept is sadly kind of a miss for me. Everything else, the restaurant, service etc. are pretty good. I wouldn't it the best pizza in the state. It's worth a visit if you haven't tried it. Ok, I returned to Pizzeria Gusto today because a friend of mine had wanted to try the place, and hadn't come with me the first time. I really wanted to order the Margherita pizza, which with actual Buff Mozz costs a staggering $14, but I just couldn't do it. I advised my friend to order it, and he seemed to like it but was a bit unnerved by the price for such a simple dish. I ended up trying the Gnocchi with braised short rib, and the meat was actually quite good. It was a pretty small helping though, and came out with a limited number of Gnocchi ( I think 6-8), which A) were only OK, and B) did NOT go well with the sort of greasy sweet sauce that was really designed for the meat dish. It would have been far better to have had the gnocchi on the side in a nice roma tomato and basil sauce with a layer of buff mozz underneath. That's how they serve it in Napoli. I liked the braised short rib, but I'd be far happier if this place right priced down about $2-4/dish and went for being an authentic Napolitano crowd pleaser rather than an elite snooty moderne restaurant. I think the volume would more than make up for the price drop. The service was good, and everyone again was very friendly. The waiter, and someone else came over to ask how everything was. So they are trying pretty hard. I will try to check back in after a while.

    Very solid old world, brick oven style pizza. Delicious, and the ten dollars for the pizza was enough to split between me and my date. Their drinks were appropriately priced for the area, and their beer selection of tap and can/bottles was solid. I recommend pizza gusto for a bite to eat and a cocktail if you're in the area.

    I had dinner there tonight with 2 friends to celebrate a birthday. They had the pasta special, which had shrimp; red, yellow, and green bell peppers, spinach in a cream sauce with pasta and they loved it. I had the pancetta pizza which also had roasted, shaved brussel sprouts and leeks, and mozzarella cheese. It was wonderful. Phil, the waiter, told us what the specials were and explained what was in them and how they were cooked. He made sure our glasses stayed filled and that everything was good at our table. He was attentive without hovering. Every I've ever talked to loved their experience at Gusto's and all of us will keep coming back.

    We were here on a Friday night with a large group. We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. The staff is well trained, friendly, and accommodating. The food is some of the best we've had in OKC. everyone at the table loved what they ordered. I had the Fried Risotto Balls and a margherita pizza(Outstanding crust!) Both were excellent! The place is beautiful! Large parking lot in rear. If this place is this good after only being open a few weeks, I can't wait to see it in a few more weeks!

    Mixed feelings: fun atmosphere, excellent fried artichokes (and hefty portion!)... pizza a bit disappointing. I was so excited to try this new place: authentic Napolitana pizza, right here in OKC?! But I've heard this claim made before and was right to be skeptical. Anyone who knows Italian pizza will find it about 50% accurate: the dough tastes approximately correct, but is rolled out too small and too thick so pizza is all spongy and the crust-to-topping ratio is way too bready. Like Napolitana alla Pizza Hut. The panoply of complicated ingredients is also decidedly American, but I don't mind experimentation on that point; Italy is absurdly rigid in what it will put on pizza. That said, I asked for the margarita with mushrooms on it--because if a pizzaria can do that well, it can do anything well--and the mushrooms came out strangely saturated in oil, as if sautéed. It made everything way too greasy (in addition to being too bready!). When I tried to order it I was told it was a sandwich; I asked if I could just get the veggies and the server said she'd check, but I never heard further about it. On that note, the service was pretty haphazard: our waitress was friendly, but would disappear for long periods of time when we'd never see her, which posed a problem at several points (e.g. she took our cutlery after the salad course and never brought any new). Seems like maybe the servers don't have sections, and so are working all over the restaurant? Or did she have too many tables? On the other hand, she was very gracious about our request to split the check (an Oklahoma norm that continues to amaze!). Will likely not order pizza again unless there's word that the pizzaioli figured things out, but I'd def. get the artichokes and the muscles looked good too! Was very busy; we were lucky to be seated right away for a party of four on a Tuesday night (!). People who are sensitive to noise might find it too clamorous.

    I was so excited to eat at this place. Looked great and food looked awesome. It was also packed. All great signs in my book. We ordered bloody Mary's which were tasty. That is about the only good thing about this trip. We sat down and I thought when the waiter was stuttering and shaking from nerves it wasn't going to go well. The apps we ordered were flat terrible. Maybe I just ordered bad but I chocked them down. Our nervous waiter finally came back to it table after thirty mins and we just wanted to tab out. Stuttering Stan knew something wasn't good but he said " your probably leaving because I haven't been around in a really long time. I just have so many tables and really busy". This review would have been better if I could have eaten the food.

    For atmosphere and excitement, I agree with all of the reviews here. It is exciting to see new, differentiated growth in a tired sector of the city. The place looks good, but there was obviously an emphasis on selling overpriced drinks above dining experience--if you don't like it loud, don't go here. The giant pizza oven is an eye-catcher, and the enormous prep kitchen is cool but as redundant as the Food Network. Unfortunately, the food is bad. If you want to feel like you are trendy and stylish while you get drunk and eat lackluster bar food, this is your Elysium. If you eat food for taste in addition to sustenance, this is Hades, To my knowledge, this is the worst pizza in Oklahoma City (and, I see no point in trying to find worse). The poor quality ingredients, the flavorless crust, and the inability to prepare food properly are really unforgivable. I could not eat more than half of a slice. You should not even do that. You have been warned.

    Went last night for a friend's birthday dinner. How can you not love a pizza place with chandeliers! The pizzas were delicious, but what won me over was the the gnocchi and braised short rib. The gnocchi was tender and fluffy goodness and the short rib was heaven. Mmmm! I think I found my new favorite meal.

    I had a fantastic lunch today at Pizzaria Gusto!! I'm always on the look out for fantastic pizza and Gusto has just that!! It's incredible Neapolitan Pizza hand made to perfection!! I've been to Naples and let me tell you, this is by far as close as you'll ever get to the real deal! And you won't have to cross any oceans to get there! I had the Cherry tomato pizza with kalamatta olives, Cappers and peppers! My friend had the Lamb Sausage Pizza! Both were out of this world! And don't forget about dessert!! The Panna Cotta was Delicious!!!

    Great new edition to uptown. Started with the marinated olive appetizer (after a nice selection from the bar of course). Nice crispy slices of crust (flat bread) to go along with the Kalamata olives in olive oil. Then on to the pizza. The pancetta pizza was different in good way - maybe a little too salty but it is pancetta after all. The Italian sausage pizza was good as well. Overall the restaurant reminded me of a more upscale version of the Wedge. The wait staff was very attentive. The atmosphere was probably the best thing about the place. Given we were there the first Friday after opening and had to wait about 40 minutes for a table bodes well for the place. It was also pretty cool they had an app that would show you how many people are in front of you before you get seated. Maybe a little too trendy for some, but the food and drinks will keep you coming back.

    Really cute place. I sat on the patio and it was just as fun as the inside. Good selection of pizzas. My only complaint is that the veggies could be chopped up more. They are cut so big that if you take a bit they all slide right off. Otherwise, I love the atmosphere, location, and wood fired pizza. Definitely worth trying and then you can walk next door to The Pump.

    We went early enough to avoid the big dinner crowd, so there wasn't a big wait or hassle. My companion ordered the chopped liver. He enjoyed it. Not my cup of tea. I got the arancini, which was fine. The mushroom pizza was really, really good. The Neapolitan style was perfectly charred and crispy. Definitely the best part of the meal. The wine choices were nice, too.

    I came here for lunch with coworkers and we loved it! We definitely didn't expect the inside to look as nice as it did, it's huge.. Not too crowded. Fancy pizza place, but not a place to feel uncomfortable if you're in casual clothing. The pizza was delicious, well cooked. Neither I or any of my coworkers had any complaints :)

    Gusto was fantabulous. I've been sick all week and thought I didn't want to do anything. Then I discovered the only thing I want to do is shovel gnocchi into my face. I look forward to having more to review than how perfect the gnocchi is, in that "come to mama" sort of way, and how wonderful Nadia, our wait staff unicorn, was. So excited to go back. Gusto is bringing something new to the block and is a wonderful addition to our neighborhood.

    Was told the wait would be 25 minutes to an hour, which is outrageous, but OK; we decided to sit at the bar and have a drink in the meantime. Tried to take the two open seats, but were told by waitstaff that this bar was not available, even though there were lots of people at it, and to go to the other bar across the room, but it was full. So there you have it--if you want a place where tons of people are clustered together like refugees waiting 60 minutes for a table, and where you can't even get a drink in the meantime to appease your boredom, then Pizza Pus-Toe is the restaurant for you.

    I have been to this new place opened by the folks who own Big Truck Tacos and Mutt's a couple of times now and it was that first experience that sold me! I ordered the short rib and gnocchi appetizer and it was no small plate. It was a full meal with a huge piece of short rib. A friend of mine shared it with me and we loved it so much we were talking about it all the next week and finally had to go back to get it again for lunch one afternoon! If you are not in the mood for pizza, definitely order this. You will not be disappointed.

    I was really looking forward to this place being great. Sadly, it doesn't live up to expectations. When we arrived we were seated at one of the high top communal tables. We had some drinks and then ordered food. At that point the manager came over and told us that we had to move because a party was arriving and they had reserved our table. We didn't really mind moving, but they told us we would have to get on the list and there was a wait of over an hour. Not sure why they assumed it was our problem that the hostess made a mistake. They then told us not to worry, we could stay at our table. As the party began to show up it was super awkward as they stood around waiting for us to leave, all while we were still waiting for our entrees to arrive. I suggested that we move to the end of the other communal table. This worked much better and the party was able to sit comfortably and we got to sit at a table and eat our dinners. The General Manager told us that dessert was on the house because of our trouble. We chose two desserts between the four of us, one per couple. When the checks arrived we were told that only one of the desserts was being taken care of. Really disappointed in service and quality of food. Will not be dining here again!

    I had to give it three stars based on the food. I ordered the bruchetta and mushroom pizza. The pizza was bland. I couldn't taste the garlic. The bruchetta was yummy. Each piece of bread had a different toppings and flavor: salty, savory, and sweet. I was surprised of how much I liked it. However for the price, I expected a mind blowing experience. The atmosphere was good and the waitstaff was nice. It was a decent one time experience.

    The place is well decorated and the staff was friendly. The service was good and almost too quick. So why the 2 stars? The food wasn't that good. Had the mussels and the fried risotto for appetizers and they were so-so at best. The sausage overpowers the mussels and the risotto didn't have much taste to it. But it was really the pizzas that disappointed. They pile the toppings on so much that you lose the subtly and the "carmelized" onions were barely even sautéed. Carmelizing onions takes awhile, but assume they could do this in advanced. The crust is decent but a little thicker than I anticipated. I'm hoping I just ordered wrong, but was unimpressed with what we had. Well designed hip place with good staff. I hope they re-work the menu a little and pay more attention to the quality of the food.

    Poor service worthy of creating a Yelp! account. What a bummer. I had been hearing nothing but great things about Gusto, but after trying it out today it might be a long while before I give it another shot. This is going to read more like an open letter to the management than a review for future guests. So... management, take notes. SERVICE: Servers was male and his name starts with a C and we were at a small table among a couple other small tables by the pizza ovens. Your host and support staff were on point and super inviting, but that can't save the face to face table service. It was obvious that he either didn't know anything about the menu or just didn't want to waste his breath on us to explain it. After introducing himself and we identified ourselves (myself and my s.o.) as first timers I was expecting a walk through. No suggestions. Only explanation offered was showing us which pizza was pepperoni. What?? Why?? Getting suggestions was like pulling teeth. We love cocktails but weren't given any actual explanations... Not even about the two he lazily pointed at for us to try after I all but begged him to lead me around. We placed our food order and said we would order drinks later. We weren't asked again about cocktails until after we had finished our entire meal. It was not busy. Seriously. Entree plates were moved to the edge of the table to be cleared (we ate slow) and he actually grabbed the menu he'd left and asked "so uh... You want a cocktail?" Laughable, really. The list goes on... Food dropped off and then dishes bussed all by other people who were actually smiling. No salad forks. App plates dropped at the end of the app course. At one point our water glasses were low and the server grabbed the table carafe to refill and just dropped it back on the table without filling our nearly empty, iceless glasses with the "here, you do it" vibe consistent with the rest of the meal. FOOD: Gnocchi entree was fine. Not "crispy" as the menu described. The short rib was great. Luke warm, though. Risotto balls were good. Chicken sandwich was just basic. All could have been lifted up with a glass of wine or a cocktail and maybe some even mild enthusiasm about the ingredients or plate. Would have avoided this review process but on our way out the door of a $40 lackluster lunch that could have been a $100+ food graze and cocktail and wine sampling, the manager on duty was busy chatting up a table that appeared super happy. I'm jealous of whatever experience they had.

    New pizza place that opens late!! Yay!! That already brought them up to a 3 star. We came on a Saturday night right at 6PM. The restaurant was half full and we were seated immediately. Our waiter was prompt and helpful with explaining the wine and pizza options. Our Caesar salad was standard and we quickly pushed it aside because they pizza came out so quickly. Apparently their oven cooks the pizzas in 90 seconds! Our choice was the meatball pie with something that was the closest version of pepperoni. They did not have pepperoni, but it enjoyed this alternative much more! It was sliced very thin and therefore got very crisp. The crust was thin and crispy as well. My only complaint is that part of the crust was burned, which really messes up the taste if you accidentally get a bite of it. We did not have room for dessert, but will definitely be back. By the time we were done with our meal, the restaurant was packed with a line of hungry patrons. It is a large space that is clean and chic. Gusto will definitely bring more trendy visitors to the uptown area!

    Had a great time at Pizzeria Gusto with 3 of our friends on a Monday evening. They have a great beer selection, and a tasteful wine selection. Their red pepper hummus was amazing, and my husband and I shared the chicken pizza, which was more than enough. It was delicious! Their bread / crust is incredible, and they take a lot of care to blend wonderful flavors together. I disagree with reviews that say that it is too loud, but our table might have been farther from noise than other diners have experienced. When we arrived, we waited while they set the table and even though we were waiting like 30 seconds, the bartender came up to ask if we would like anything to drink while we waited. Our server was excellent and fun, and had great recommendations. We had the chocolate tort for dessert that was fabulous and had these amazing cherries on top. What was awesome is that even after we had a great time at Pizzeria Gusto, we went straight to The Pump next door and had a few more beers and played some games. Definitely going to both places again!!

    Pizzaria gusto has a slightly upscale but comfortable atmosphere. We went on a Saturday night and the place was very busy. The server was attentive and knowledgable. The food came out quickly, especially considering how busy they were. We were in a large group and ordered multiple appetizers and pizzas. The arancini was a big hit, as was the meatball pizza. The fried artichokes were a little underwhelming. We will recommend it to friends.

    I came here for lunch on a weekday and I had a great experience. Although the place was crowded, little/no wait to be seated & service was very prompt, courteous, and attentive. The menu was very good-looking and I was pleased with the food. I am not a total pizza purist but I certainly do prefer stuff on the specialty pizza side of things. The daily special sounded amazing and I'd like to come back to try specials. The appetizers and salads looked super and my salad was large and terrific. Price was reasonable, not bargain but appropriate. I did not order booze but the options were good. Interior environment was very pleasant and inviting without being cliched or veering into dork territory. It was spacious and well-lit. Although Pizzeria Gusto is not a completely novel concept in OKC, it is awesome to have another option in this category and I would definitely recommend that others hit it up.

    such friendly customer service from several staff that I met there. and the food was amazing. it's more than just cheese or pepperoni pizzas, i had one with salmon and my boyfriend had one with lamb sausage. they were fresh and not at all greasy like alot of pizzas are at other restaurants. the ingrediants tasted fresh and i loved that! it made me feel i really got my money's worth.

    Tonight we shared a Caesar Salad, I had the pasta special and my friend had a pizza. Our meals were served hot, which is always a good thing. Not impressed. The place is extremely noisy. There weren't many diners and I sure don't want to be there when it's crowded because it was LOUD! I love the interior and that they have turned the area around to a trendy, hip area. My trend and hip factors have dulled . . . because I wasn't impressed by the atmosphere or the food but I loved the décor.

    Very impressed for my first visit. They offer a nice selection of beers, both local and national brands, on tap as well as bottled. The atmosphere is very casual and at the same time elegant. The calamari appetizer was very fresh, not too breaded. We ordered two pizzas- the butternut squash and the Italian sausage. For 4 people, there was more than enough food. The service was attentive and their prices are quite reasonable. The pizza was very much like the Wedge, thinner crust (which I prefer) and fresh ingredients paired nicely together. We will definitely be back for more.

    Wife picked this place for our anniversary and, while I would have chosen a nicer place, I was happy that she was happy. It seems like an impressive place when you first walk in but it is very casual and not the kind of place you should take a lady for her anniversary (shame on me). Food: We split a soppressata pizza and a side of meatballs. The food came and the pizza was totally burnt. I'm not talking well done, which is actually what I like. This was burned black completely on the bottom and there were several spots on top that were black from burn. I looked around and noticed that all the other pizzas in the place looked about the same although our was a bit more done. It was very greasy, had almost no cheese or sauce and was dripping with fat from the salami. The meatballs had way too much garlic and breadcrumbs - almost no meat. The flavor of the marinara was like straight out of a can. Don't come to this place thinking you are going to have a gourmet meal. Service: The service started out fine but deteriorated quickly. Pretty much all the staff are unserious, tattooed hipsters with long, disgusting beards. They really aren't there to impress and couldn't care less what the customers think. The waiter couldn't remember our drink orders so we had to wait extra for that such that our drinks came out just as our food arrived. That was the last we saw of the waiter until after we had finished eating. He literally didn't come back to our table for over 20 minutes. We had hoped to order more drinks and a dessert but were never given the opportunity. We had to have the hostess bring us our check and a doggie bag. Needless to say, we were unable to leave a very generous tip like we typically would. Bottom line: It was very disappointing and we won't be back nor would we recommend anyone else go there. There are many other places nearby that have better food and atmosphere - Pizza 23, Tuckers, Cheever's and a host of others are too close to make this place worth visiting. Two thumbs down!

    Alright! Truth be told, I don't think we ate anything that was actually on the menu. Everything was made special for the Mustang beer party we were at. That being said, it was amazing. For $35 there were 4 courses that each paired with a Mustang beer. The food was fantastic. I can only imagine quality of food stays consistent regardless of what is or isn't on the menu. The main chef ladyperson came out to talk to us and she was awesome. She was very brief and matter-of-fact rather than going on and on about the food, a real down to earth woman. She cares about her food but isn't tossing it around in your face. I'll be sure to come back soon and definitely up date from there. These guys deserve a pat on the back now, though!

    Mmm I can't wait to come back to Pizzeria Gusto. I came with some friends for some drinks and pizza and I really loved it. I had some pinot noir and we started out with the meatball appetizer and the arancini, which are fried balls of risotto and cheese - life-changing. Like fried cheese but with more texture and oh so good. We all shared a few pizzas. We got the margherita, the grilled chicken and the salmon. Margherita was your typical margherita - fresh basil, tomatoes and big blobs of fresh mozzarella (using blobs in a good way here...the way mozzarella should be). The grilled chicken had goat cheese, onions and arugula, and it all went together really well. I have to say my favorite was the salmon though. It was not even something I would usually consider pizza, but it was delicious and it all went together perfectly. Smoked salmon, arugula, tomatoes, capers and some sort of caper cream sauce as the sauce. Salmon is one of my favorite foods in the world so I really loved this pizza.     I enjoyed my experience at this new restaurant in downtown Oklahoma City. It makes me excited that all these new urban places are finally coming to OKC. I grew up here but now live in Denver so when I visit it's fun to see what's happening in the city. You have to try the fried artichoke hearts for your appetizer...delicious!! We all tried different things and they were all amazing. I had the mussels in sausage sauce and loved every bite. I had never had them prepared that way and I was pleased. I also tried the Italian Sausage Pizza and it was awesome. My friend had the Gnocchi, it is a crispy potato gnocchi served with a braised short rib. It was scrumptious. You may also want to try the Burrata, it is mushrooms, and truffles on top of a honey walnut bread. The atmosphere is fun and lively but I gave them four stars because I felt like it was to loud. They may need to add a few sound barriers so that you can hear your friends talking. The food is fabulous and service great! This is a must.

    I usually don't like to review places before I've had a chance to eat the dish that they're there to serve, i.e. pizza., but their brunch was so good, y'all. Brunch consisted of a variety of non-pizza related items, and I was pleased that it was good since pizza is the main event here. I ordered the eggs benedict (sans canadian bacon, natch). All I remember was that it was Goooood, especially the side potatoes. My favorite was the make-your-own mimosa bar, which offered two of my favorite juices: pomegranate and blood orange. Yummmmm. Service was great, and we were well attended to, especially with a party of 15. I can't wait to come back and try some of their pizza!

    Really love the atmosphere of this place! Has a great feel to it, you just have to see for yourself all the unique touches to this space! The Pizzas were great, we had the Mushroom, Chicken and Pancetta and not one bite left! Not a fan of the over crouton-ed salad that I received but I think it was just a fluke because the other salads seemed to be fine that others ordered! Try the Affogato dessert! AMAZING!

    Who doesn't love a great, local pizza in your neighborhood? Let us clarify that a bit: who doesn't want an authentic pizza spot in Uptown? With the incredible Pizza 23 and Sauced nearby it's easy to feel guilty for having too many wonderful pizza spots in one area, but Gusto stands on its own. Gusto does things a bit differently with specialty ingredients and a core commitment to the old world. Anyone who has been to Italy and ordered pizza gets the difference. Americanized pizza is wonderful, but so is authentic, Italian style. Bonus points for the common table and fabulous patio space! It's pizza town and all of us get to be the mayor! At Gusto, get a few small plates for the table and enjoy their speciality cocktails, homemade spirits, and quality beer pairings. Definitely grab a pizza and if you're smart it will have sun-dried tomatoes. Shut up and let us rant on the sun-dried tomatoes for a minute: they're the vegetable version of a ripe plum, juicy, sweet and melts in your mouth. We're leaving right now to go get another pie. PROS: Sun-dried tomatoes (poetry forthcoming). Pizza town and you're the mayor! Beautiful building that makes good on old space. CONS: Service is hit or miss due to the abnormal amount of teenagers serving. PRO TIP: Hit their Monday-Friday Happy Hour from 4-6. $5 gets you a shot and a beer. Choose from cinnamon-infused whiskey, homemade limoncello or a third option that we didn't hear once they mentioned the hand made whiskey. Free truffle popcorn with that too and it's amazing!

    I have to add this place to my favorite places in OKC. Flavorful real pizza. Nice beer menu , but overpriced. The pizzas are not expensive for the quality. Price range is around what you would pay at the Wedge (my other favorite pizza place in town). The waiters are ok, between the prices for alcohol and staff, the lost one star on my rating. I liked the interior and exterior of the building but the music, although good, does not go with the theme or atmosphere. Update: as soon as I was about to pay, they change the music and I have to admit it was amazing. Also, the owner/manager came by to check on us. He was very friendly and you could tell he really appreciated our presence there and specially our feedback. Would love to be able to give them 4.5 but yelp won't let me.

    Chopped Salad is so-o-o good! Mushroom pizza is on my favorite list too. The crust on all their pizzas is excellent. I love the decor too! Great new restaurant in OKC!

    Came here for dinner a couple of weeks ago after doing some day drinking at the Pump Bar next door. This place was packed for dinner on a Saturday night! Ordered a couple of appetizers (Gusto Roasted Nuts and the Arancini) and both were really good! My husband and I each ordered our own pizza so we could take leftovers home. I ordered the Italian Sausage and my husband ordered the Soppressata. My pizza was good, but my husband's was much better. Next time I would try something else for variety, but both pizzas were solid choices. The atmosphere was pretty loud and the service was a little slow, but our server was friendly and all of our orders came out correctly. OKC is starting to get a lot of pizza choices lately and I would put Pizzeria Gusto easily in the top five!

    Yes, it is as good as I'd hoped. In fact, it is better than I had hoped. For starters, it's gorgeous. And huge. I was so impressed with the full facelift Lower and company gave this building. Who knew Bora Bora club is a treasure? Well, they did. I can't imagine the work that went into rehabbing this beautiful building. The oven is a masterpiece, and the big chandeliers and giant tables and semi private rooms with huge windows are fantastic. Love the bar, and all the local favorite beers and spirits, as well as my beloved Strong Tonic featured here. Some serious thought went into this wine and beer list as well. Way to represent the locals. I settled on a glass of red, after much consideration of other drinks, and was happy with my selection. The food. The food was fantastic. We had the fried artichoke hearts with aioli, the house made meatballs, and the burratta. This might be what I would select as my last meal, especially the meatballs and the burratta. Those two items alone were absolutely outstanding. We had the panchetta pizza, with shaved brussels, provolone, fontina and herbs. The pizza was perfectly prepared, the toppings fresh, and the overall result is one of the best pizzas I've ever had. I know we will be back again soon. I can't wait to bring family and friends here from out of town and show them this wonderful new spot.

    Being a Yelper is like being a secret shopper sometimes. This review will be for the service because my friend and I got up and walked out before we were met by any waitstaff after a few minutes after being seated after waiting 20 minutes to be seated. Maybe I will come back to try the food. I am sure a group of friends will decide on eating here, and I will most likely join them and try at that time. I wouldn't voluntarily choose to eat here otherwise. We walked in and asked the hostess if it was okay to sit at the bar, so we walked over and sat. The hostess followed us a few seconds later and told us we were not at the bar, but we were at the chef's table and that is not open seating. I asked if she could just seat us there since we were already there, and she explained there was a wait. We put our name in, number for text message alert, and sat in the doorway waiting room. We chatted and noticed the chef's table seats we were at were still vacant. Whatev. We wait. Chat. Seats still vacant. Chat. Waiter/Bar staff comes over with menus offering to take a drink order for the bar, and he'd be back. Seats still vacant among other tables cleaned and vacant. Chat about drinks. Wait. Chat. Waiter never returned. A tray with glasses of water was delivered to all of the people waiting; nice!, but none for us. Wait. Chat. Seats still vacant. Text message received for table; Weeeeeeeeee! Crappiest two seater table tucked in a corner, but smothered by cute girls chatting about Bermuda and Costa Rica; their chairs were basically on our table, and the room was super crowded. We have the same menus from earlier, and wait. Chat about the menu. Wait. Giggle at the conversations. Wait. I mention leaving, and my buddy says let's give them a chance, and you're being a bit critical. I appreciate the point of view. We wait. Discuss the menu and decide what to order. Wait. He now nudges the thought of leaving and I give a nonverbal response by getting up before he could finish asking. As we were walking out I hear a HEY!x3 it was the shift mgr. We were out the door by the time she caught up, and after we explained she offered to buy our pizzas and defended herself and her staff. We declined x3-4. You had your chance, and it was not successful. Maybe next time. Also, when don't have a casual relationship with someone an 'excuse me' is probably more appropriate than HEY! Free pizza?

    Best pizza in town! No joke. I prefer the margarita pizza and adding chicken. Sometimes the pizza specials can get a little esoteric and a bit too far off base. The more traditional the better, I have found.

    They have really amazing pizza. We ordered the Italian sausage pizza with EVOO instead of regular red sauce..it definitely lives up to all the craze in that manner. Before we ate we had to wait an hour and a half for 6 of us..that part was a little nerve racking, because we were the only "large" party and we saw numerous parties get up and leave about 45 minutes before we were sat. The hostesses weren't very friendly..but the male hipster bartender was sweet and really helpful on helping me pick out a drink. I ended up getting the Mona Lisa, it's a basil blackberry girly drink- perfect! We chose an appetizer too, it was walnut bread drizzled in honey...then topped with their homemade mozzarella, and mushroom truffle..so amazing! All in all I will probably go back but not on a weekend.

    You know it's a hit when they've only been open a week and they already have hour long waits! Went to Pizzaria Gusto on a Saturday night, didn't have a reservation and the wait was an hour for only 2 people. I could care less because I couldn't wait to try this place. Sat at the bar and ordered a glass of wine. I'll be honest the bar staff seemed stressed and we were ignored for almost 20 minutes before being asked what we'd like to drink. I'm not riding them off for this though, it has only been a week! After our hour wait we sat down and knew we needed some food stat. Went straight to ordering the meatball appetizer and the lamb sausage pizza for an entree. The food came out super quick and was incredible. I definitely recommend the meatballs! One appetizer and one pizza was perfect for 2 people. Can't wait to go back to try the butternut squash pizza, salmon pizza, and the fried risotto balls!

    Love the atmosphere here!! So cool and trendy. Cool bar, great seating and they really have a lot of staff. This was day 3 that they had been open and everything looked great. We were a large group - no confusion with our order and it came out pretty quick. Waiter was very considerate of our time. Food - consensus in the group - the pizza dough was yummy but needs salt. They need to be able to customize pizza requests while not struggling on how to ring up the charge. The drinks were listed on the board - with names like leaning sour of pisa....expect your drink order to take a while as you figure out what's in your drink! Overall really cool place, just need a few tweaks and it could be a solid hangout. FYI - lunch gets expensive since they didn't have lunch specials yet. 3.5 stars till they get some specials and affordable lunch menus.

    I've been twice now and ordered the gnocchi both times - delicious! Large selection of high quality beer to choose from. I'm a happy boy and don't really know what else to say. Ok, here's more. The staff is very professional, knowledgeable and polite. The food arrived in a timely manner as were the drink refills. The restaurant and restroom were very clean and tidy. My fingers are tired. In summary, great restaurant and highly recommended!

    I expected this place to change my life after reading everyone's reviews, which all seemed to ebulliently use exclamation marks in reference to how this is "the best place everrrrr!!!!!!" If my feelings were Emojis, this place would be the guy with eyes closed and top row of teeth showing... but not the guy with hearts for his eyes! Chairs. Hard wood. No cushioned seats unless you are in a booth. Bony Asian ass here needs a little help. And word to the wise- booths are one-size fits all. You either fit in it or you don't. The table don't move. Service- everyone you come across is really nice, start to finish. Hostess, lady with the water, you name it. (Except people running your food. They're normally in a rush to get away from you to go back to their tables :P) Arancini- oh yum! Four balls of risotto, fried with melty cheese inside and served with a sauce made of roasted red peppers. You can't go wrong with fried cheese and rice balls. Calamari- If you are a calamari junkie like me, proceed with caution at the rampant endorsements. (Though there is only one way to find out...) I didn't enjoy it and wouldn't get it again. The actual squid itself was fried hard and breading was thick. (Go to Mickey Mantle's for most melt-in-yo-mouth calamari in town. ) The portion size is fair, however. Tip: if you only like the rings, these are served with tons of tentacle glory. Soppressata pizza- Everyone has different feelings about toppings. I wasn't a fan since this one came out as slick as John Travolta's hair in Grease, but what I did LOVE was the crust! The crust was fabulously airy, crisp, and chewy all at the same time! The crust gets the emoji with hearts in its eyes. Lunches are $10 for half a pizza and a salad. I didn't see a HH menu on their website or at the restaurant, but biz is booming... Some people love it, but, it's not 5-star great food that matches its price tag in my book.

    Great pizza with an amazing ambience! It was very busy during Friday dinner time, so we got grabbed seats at the bar. For their draft beer handles, they use kitchen utensils, which was extremely creative. All the drinks that came by looked very appetizing, was very tempted to order a few myself! Onto the pizza, we ordered a margherita pizza and one with Italian sausage. The sauce and basil on the margherita were very fresh and the cheese was stringy/melty, just the way I like it! The Italian sausage had broccoli pesto sauce, which was different in a good way. The sausage was nothing spectacular, but it was decent and blended in well. Definitely coming back here to eat and will be ordering drinks this time!

    Nice Neapolitan pizza place. Cooked at like 900*. Pizza's have different ingredients than you're typical pizza joint, but the flavors meld well together. They also have a nice beer & wine selection if you want an adult beverage. Wait staff was kind & friendly. Nice experience.
