They have some far out Peruvian juices. Not a fancy place. Its right on the corner, no street sign. Excuse me while I eat my chicken...its good. The beans are great and the plantains were just right. I know the neighborhood might seem questionable to the upper crust of OKC, but us minions can hang.

My Peruvian Hermosa and I stopped by right after flying into Will Rogers. I wanted to find out how OKC Peruvian food tastes compared to DC's Peruvian food. To be fair, we ordered a variety of dishes such as: * Yuca la Huancaina * Lomo saltado * Whole Peruvian Chicken The Yuca la Huancaina was fried well as they minimize any excess oil. The Peruvian Cheese Sauce had a nice texture and taste as well. The Lomo saltado was probably the best dish as the strips of sirloin were stir fried with aji amarillo, red onions, parsley and tomatoes after being marinated with vinegar, soy sauce and spices, The chicken was disappointing as the seasoned skin had too much of a charbroiled taste than the norm and as a result producing a dry chicken. We were delighted to find Peruvian beer chilled and ready to quench our thirst! Cristal "Beer from the Andes" and Cusquena were our two new best friends. We almost bought a six pack, as Peruvian beers are hard to come by in DC; however, given the cost we had to pass. Overall, 2.5 stars for Naylamp Peruvian Restaurant.

Had the mussel appetizer (very good) with the #29 steak (with an egg on top - pretty good). For the life of me don't know why I didn't order the chicken - but will have to come back. Laid back place, reasonable prices. Too bad I have to come here from DFW to get it since the one place we had (that I know of) closed.... Closed on Tuesdays

This place is just OK. Having visited Peru and eating great peruvian food in Southern California, I was rather disappointed in Naylamp. However, I understand that it is not possible to get very fresh seafood in OKC. The food was just okay for a Peruvian Fix. I ordered the ceviche pescado and my date ordered the loma saltado. The loma saltado beef seemed old, the beef was tough. The ceviche squid seemed frozen. The taste of the food good, but I think the quality and freshness of the ingredients were lacking. We ordered the passion fruit juice and pineapple juice. These were suppose to be fresh squeezed, but I am not sure if it was from a box. The restaurant gets 3 stars for the friendly waitress, military discount, and okay food.

Formerly what was El Pollon is now Naylamp Peruvian and it is literally the sister restaurant to Inca Trail Peruvian. (Seeing as the Chef at Inca Trails Sister owns this location) I went here for lunch the other day I had not been in to eat since it was El Pollon, I'm not really sure what changes were made as far as the menu goes, but the food is as delicious as ever. I had a quarter rotisserie chicken and honestly I kind of wish I would've gone for the 1/2. The chicken was scrumptious savory and cooked to perfection! I also had the "Latin corn" which was kind of like a classic Elote really delicious and creamy. The service was great, my only disappointment is that it was 12:30 in the afternoon and there were only two other people eating there. I know they do a lot of take out but in my opinion as good as this chicken is this place should be packed at lunch. Try it out, I'm pretty positive you'll find this place addictive.

Best Peruvian Food in the US We saw some reviews online and decided to give this restaurant a shot. We were totally blown away! The server (may have been the owner as well) was willing to walk us through the menu, but we told him that we were familiar since we had been to Peru. We ordered the ceviche pescado and it was very well prepared! We also got a generous portion for the price and (being raw) I wasn't skeptical for a second of the quality. My dinner (#11 on the menu) was delicious as well and a good portion size! It is unlike anything I have found in the US to eat! I live in KC so I won't be able to frequent this place, but I wish we had a comparison near home. I will return next time I am in Oklahoma because this restaurant had authentic food, great prices and knowledgeable service. Very happy to have found this place! They do not, however, have cuy (guinea pig) despite the pet store we passed on the way!, haha.

Definitely good food, but you're going to have to be a little brave to venture far on the menu. I had the waitress order me something and it was delicious. Unfortunately I don't remember what it was called, so I'm going to have to go back and definitely will. Try all of the sauces if you like spicy stuff!

Pretty good food for Oklahoma City!! The mussels were great. I was disappointed that they did not have Shrimp Ceviche on the menu but the Mixto Ceviche was good and the portion size was just right. Not too much! The prices were outstanding!

I've been here twice, ordered the Lomo Saltado twice because it was pretty good. The service was excellent, polite, social, and timely. Definitely a stop for Peruvian food if you're in the area!

Little hole in the wall place with maybe 9 or 10 tables. Don't let the outside scare you off as it backs up to a bar of some sort. It is worth the trip. Can support small groups but may be a little cramped. Overall, we were impressed with this place. Wife was happy to find some things on the menu that reminded her of her home country in Central America. Food was delicious. Prices were fair. Service was excellent. Will definitely be returning.

DO NOT BE AFRAID of the neighborhood or the outside look of this restaurant. The food is luscious, the wait staff friendly, and the place is really clean. I don't think you could find any chicken anywhere that could compete with this Peruvian rotisserie chicken. The flan is very tasty. Actually, the dishes I've tried have all been tasty. I highly recommend the Plata Rellano, an avocado stuffed with a yummy chicken salad. We always get the Papa ala huancaina. Love that yellow sauce! As long as they have Moma in the kitchen, other places can replicate the munu, but I really don't think anywhere else will be quite as good. Try it once and I guarantee that you will make it one of your regular stops.

This place has fantastic Peruvian fare and a really helpful, if small, staff. I always feel like family when I eat here, and I never leave hungry. The Lomo Saltado was top notch, but the Palta Rellana may be my favorite dish here. SO FULL OF AVOCADO GOODNESS. The Papa a la Huancaina are mouthwatering too. Seriously, I could go on and on. If I lived closer I'd be 20 lbs heavier.

This place was awesome. The atmosphere made me feel like I was in a restaurant in Peru. Very small restaurant, maybe 8 or so tables. The decorations were all from Peru and one of the walls had a huge picture of Machu Picchu. The servers were very friendly. The food was presented so pretty. Almost too pretty to eat. I loved the plating. The portions were HUGE. I got the Lomo Saltado that the waiter recommended as their most popular dish. Marinated strips of steak, with tomatoes, onions and cilantro on top of a bed of french fries...yes you heard me French fries. It was also served with white rice. I really enjoyed this dish the only thing was about half of the meat with gristle. My boyfriend got the Ceviche Mixto. This was served on a long plate with fish, shrimp, mussels and calamari soaked in lime juice. This dish is meant to have a sour taste to it so it comes with a good amount of lime juice. Topped with raw onion and maiz cancha. Maiz cancha is toasted corn nuts. This is served with sweet potatoes and maiz mote. Maiz mote is pretty much giant white corn. Both are really good. This is genuine Peruvian food. Will definitely be back!

This was my first time trying Peruvian food and it was a great experience! I got the quarter chicken with a side of green rice and plantains. The chicken was very moist and really good! It's similar to rotisserie chicken but with more flavor. The plantains were my favorite though, definitely spend the extra few cents to get those as a side!

I live in the area of this place and have seen it and always talked about giving it a try. I finally did and I wish I had done it sooner. I walked in and it smelled amazing. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful picking out my meal as I'm new to Peruvian food. The chicken was fresh, moist and flavorful. The rice and beans were good too. This is not mexican food. It is very home made tasting and I strongly urge anyone to try this little hidden gem!

Wow! This was seriously the best meal I've had in quite some time. It was my first time trying Peruvian food and I was not disappointed. Everything here is homemade, fresh and had some of the best mix of flavors I've had anywhere. We started out going to Italian but when we got to the restaurant it was closed because the owners are on vacation. So I jumped on yelp and started looking for an alternative and found this place was close by so we came here instead. I am really glad the other place was closed today or I probably never would have came here since I rarely wander to the South side. It's attached to Sugar's bar and looks like a total dive from the outside. It's small and casual inside but very clean. We were the only customers but we went early for dinner so that was to be expected. I can't even describe the food except that it was damn good. I will definitely be back. I was a little disappointed they didn't have any desserts to try because they were out and we really wanted to try the ice cream which was made with some Peruvian fruit I can't remember the name of, but I guess it just gives me an excuse to go back.

Love this place!! It's a whole in the wall bar next to a sketchy strip club, but definitely awesome. I have only had the ceviche every time I go and it's so yummy! I ask for it to be extra spicy and they serve it on a platter with corn and sweet potatoes. We like to eat all the ceviche and pour the left over "tiger juice" in a shot glass..put hairs on your chest! Not badly priced either, we got 2 huge platters and 2 corn drinks for $20ish.

You are supposed to visit Naylamp for the traditionally roasted chicken, a la peruviana. But they make these fries with grilled onions with a cilantro cream sauce that is just crack. The lomito saltado ( mixed beef tips) was overlooked to the jerky zone but who gives a damn with those papas fritas? They know how to cook a platano which is rarely accomplished in the state and a very welcoming staff. Don't worry about the location -- you'd become a thug anyway for the fries. Buen provecho!

Excellent all around, we had a party of five, adults and teenagers, each ordered a different dish, was all good. The Lomo Saltado seemed to be the favorite with our group but I preferred the fabulous avocado that came with the Plata Rellna. All the dishes had wonderful, well balanced flavor with no hint of the dreaded tex-mex effect. Portion sizes were good. Located next to a busy intersection, the place is small, well-kept and clean. The neighborhood is "transitional" but appeared to be safe. Is my new favorite for OKC!

We had our first experience with Peruvian food tonight. Absolutely delicious! While I can't exactly remember the names of everything we ordered, we all enjoyed sharing bites. A couple in the party chose seafood while my GF ordered the whole chicken. I had the #29 which is a steak dish fried eggs on top. Washed it down with a Peruvian beer...in a very heavy real glass and frozen mug...ahhhh! Every restaurant should serve beer that way. For a "hole-in-the-wall" it was very clean and neat, including the restroom. No strange or peculiar odors. Give this place a try.

Since this is my first time, I didn't know what to expect. I have been to Nicaragua before so I think the food here is quite similar to that of Nicaragua. I ordered a chicken soup dish and although it looks and smells very delicious, it doesn't taste that good to me. This is NOT because the food isn't good. It just doesn't work with my taste bud. My friend ordered #29 steak and he loved it. I will definitely come back and try other soups on the menu. I love the plantain.
