Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I love this little restaurant. I have a soft spot for good Tex Mex and this place is pretty great! It's not blow your socks off amazing, but it is good, solid tex mex. It is super close to my house which is a huge plus for me. They also stay open a little later than most mom and pop places which is important to me. I really like their salsa and if you can handle some heat request the spicy sauce! It will burn a little but the flavor is perfect. I have had their fajitas, enchiladas and their tacos and they are all great! Their tres leches cake is so cute and yummy. The staff is super friendly and attentive. They don't make you feel rushed at all.

La Salsa Grille may not look like much from the outside, but I promise you it's a hidden gem once you've gone inside and tried the food. My initial reaction was how friendly everyone was. From the waitress who seated us, to the cook who told us goodbye, everyone there was genuinely concerned that we had a great experience. The queso was phenomenal as well. I'm not a big salsa person, so I've come to be relatively picky about my queso. A lot of places I've been have queso so runny, it's like dipping a chip in water. But here, the queso was nice and thick, had great flavor, and was very hot. The main course, a chimichanga, was exceptional. Nice and crispy on the outside, and steam poured out once I cut it open which indicated how fresh it really was. The waitress was also very attentive to my sweet tea drinking and never let the glass get more than half empty before she filled it back up. All in all, a great place to have a nice, authentic mexican meal.

I ate here for lunch with a couple of my coworkers. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food that we were served. First off, the salsa and queso that they bring out complimentary is really good. I ordered the lunch tacos al pastor. They were delicious! They weren't the best al pastor that I have eaten, however they do run a close second. My coworkers ordered a burrito and chimichanga. Both were pretty good sized, especially considering the price. Both people reported that their dishes were very good. I recommend this place if you like good Mexican food.

Went to this restaurant from the recommendation of the hotel clerk where I was staying in OKC. This place was great with very nice and attentive staff. The flavors of my meal was just right. The chips, salsa and Queso were great to start the meal. I will be back on my next visit to OKC!

I've been here several times and they are consistent. I like queso warm/hot so I eat that with my flour & corn tortilla fairly quick. My friends thinks I'm weird, but I crush the chips into bits and pieces, add my queso & salsa, then wrap it in either/or tortilla. I order enchilada almost everywhere I go for the 1st time. At La Salsa Grille, it's ok. But they have a pork chop dish that I like called Chuletas. A tad salty, but I like salty food. There is a green salsa w/ avocado that is crazy spicy. I like spicy food... I CANNOT hang with this green salsa. I'm not a fan of beans, not because it rhymes with Deans, but just never acquired the taste for it. I get double rice every time and their rice is average. I want to say they are Thunder fans or they just know their customers want to watch the Thunder games cause it has always been on the TVs when I'm dining in. I come here because it's local to me, friendly, and they check up on me to see if there is anything else I need. So they do want to take care of their customers. Food is in between 3* & 4*, if you like spicy salsa, try their green one w/ avocado. You have to request for it. Show them the picture I'm about post if needed.

Came here for a late dinner. My friend ordered enchiladas and my sister ordered papusas. Both pretty good! Enchiladas was like any typical enchiladas, papusas were crispy with tasty meat piled on top. Chips, salsa, tortilla, and Queso were average too. I expected some crazy tasting salsa due to the name

I have been here a couple times with coworkers and we are all big fans. They bring out individual queso and salsas and plenty of white corn chips. Salsa is very good and fresh, queso is standard tex-mex style. The taco asada lunch special is huge and extremely satisfying. Fresh cilantro and onions grace the beef, atop two white corn tortillas. Standard beans and rice. Overall, a great value. Service is friendly and plenty fast with a moderately full dining room. A new lunch favorite for my work team.

So... It can be tiring watching your son play indoor soccer, and with the parents wanting to grab some food afterwards, why not try a new restaurant? La Salsa came nicely recommended by fellow Yelpers, so we thought it would fit our needs perfectly. The chips, salsa, queso, and tortillas were quickly delivered, but were okay, nothing to write home about. I ordered the combo fajitas (beef, chicken, shrimp), the wife got the beef fajitas, and the son ordered the soft taco kid's meal. Everything was brought to us quickly, but I found the flavors of the meat to be lacking. It wasn't bad, it just didn't have anything that gripped my taste buds and demanded my attention. The requisite rice and refried beans were as expected, but nothing special. I was a little disappointed with La Salsa based on some of the reviews, as the food we had was just average... not bad, but not great.

I'll always mourn our city's loss of Las Palomas; their sweet staff, the white queso, that perfect flan. But I think La Salsa is an acceptable substitute. I love Mexican food, especially Tex Mex like this, which is probably 30% of what I ate as a kid! And I love Tex Mex that doesn't need to be anything else. They're not doing street tacos at La Salsa. They're not trying to be anything they're not, but since they're small it feels less mass-produced than something like Chellino's. The salsa and queso were good but the chips could have been better. Then again, I didn't eat as many as I normally would so that's probably for the best. I had the chicken soft taco and a chicken enchilada with rice and an ice cold diet coke. Everything was great, although my enchilada could have been a little bit warmer and I might have enjoyed it just a touch more. For a cute and clean little local spot with friendly service (example: server offered me a DC to go), and $6-$7 lunch specials, I'd rather have this than BTT any day.

I have been here 4 or 5 times and the food and service has always been wonderful. Great atmosphere as well.

Cute little Mexican restaurant with good service. The waitress greeted us and got our drinks. I, of course, ordered myself a Mexican Coke. Chips, salsa, and queso were included. Cheese usually doesn't come free, so that's a plus. I ordered myself a 2 Fish Taco lunch plate, and it was more than enough to fill me up. The tacos were solid. Overall, the atmosphere, service and food all worked out, and I'd definitely stop by again.

Now one wouldn't think that you could find a decent fish taco in land-locked Oklahoma, but you can. La Salsa Grille has a pretty good thing going. Although on the pricier side of their menu, the fish taco is an actual filet of fish - not a bunch of unidentifiable chopped meat in a tortilla. The free salsa and queso is super delicious, and it's hard to find bad complimentary queso in the land of Tex-Mex. The offerings are distinctly Tex-Mex at this hole in the wall joint, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Waiter was okay, when we accidently left without grabbing our to-go container, another waitress ran out after us, which I captured with a picture, because I was taking a pic of the building for Yelp. (Went here on 11/13/11 for lunch.)

I almost hate to review La Salsa for fear they'll start attracting a big crowd! Great Tex-Mex, good service and reasonable prices make this one of my favorite local Tex Mex joints. I come here specifically for their spinach enchiladas and their "hot" salsa. I like hot (picanté not calienté) salsa and I can tell you this is the real deal hot! The chips are fresh and the spinach enchiladas are outstanding (I am not a vegetarian by any means). La Salsa is as good as Tex Mex gets!

New favorite local tex mex. queso is yummy! isn't like that corn starch gelatinous substance you get at Able's or Los Amigos. Salsa has a nice flavor as well. Great wait staff. There's an actual vegetable section for any vegetarians out there. Almost all with cheese or dairy however.

This neighborhood Grille is a great option for good Mexican food. The salsa is muy bien, and a salsa verde is available. The menu options are great, and your meal will finish with an offer of sopapillas. All very good!
