I was told this was the original Jimmy's Egg. I get that they may want to honor tradition or whatever by keeping the same crappy layout, but it is the worst Jimmy's Egg by far. The waitstaff bump into you when they are serving other tables, because the place is so packed and tiny. My mom actually said, "Why are you taking me here?" when we arrived because it was such a crowded pig sty. She has been to the other Jimmy's Egg restaurants and never complained before. Food was cheap and good, just like the other Jimmy's Egg restaurants, but it isn't worth the awful ambiance, sentiment or not.

Good service but my husband and I both got food poisoning from the eggs!! 2 of our friends also got food poisoning from here the day before as well.

Great for breakfast. Florentine omelet was bomb, service was great. A little pre work fuel never hurt. This is my go to place

If you want to eat at a place where the waitresses never wash their hands then this is the place for you. Coughing, sneezing, bussing tables then bringing me my food? No Thank You. Brenda was her name?

If you're an out-of-towner, just don't even bother. My first mistake was assuming that a local place (I think?) would do a better job than a nationwide chain restaurant. At least at a chain you know exactly what to expect: an edible breakfast, usually. If you do end up here, don't expect to get what you order. I wish I could tell you that the sweet potato pancakes were actually ok, but I think they were wheat. The fact that I wasn't sure should say something. Everything else (eggs and meat) was just a huge disappointment. Dishes were dirty, floor was dirty, everything I ordered came out 10 minutes apart, waitress nearly forgot to bring out part of my meal, and my friend's coffee mug had lipstick all over the rim. Waitress said she'd replace it and never did, nearly 45 minutes later. My expectations were set way too high, apparently, and they were pretty low to begin with.

One of my favorite places to get breakfast. Fast service and friendly people. Very good omelets.

I was looking for a breakfast spot between the hotel and the OKC Memorial on my Yelp app and found Jimmy's. At the time I had no idea that it was a regional chain, I just saw it averaged 4 stars so we decided to give it a shot. And we were really happy that we took a chance on it! The lot was pretty much full when we got there, probably around 10:30 on a Saturday. Upon entering it felt like a locals spot right away, no hostess around so I just made eye contact with an employee and he nodded at an empty table. Within seconds a server was asking if we wanted coffee and needed to see a menu, seems most of their customers know what they want without the benefit of a menu. I had the Biscuit Debris, which was a couple of biscuits covered with sausage gravy, bits of sausage and ham, and sprinkled with cheddar cheese. It was seriously good! As were the perfectly cooked hash browns that had just the right amount of crispiness. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was reasonably priced and downright tasty. I'm not sure if/when I'll make it back to that area but if I do I'll be stopping by Jimmy's Egg for breakfast!

The omelette was delicious but my hot chocolate tasted like it was made with dishwater. Our waiter, John was very nice and he took good care of us. They were very busy so service was kind of slow. It is a pretty good breakfast place if you are not in a big hurry.

Great food at a great price! The diner is a....diner. Yes, just a good ole greasy spoon the actually does a great job. The service was great. My wife and I each had the Big Jim Omelette, which is a FIVE EGG omelette that comes with TEN ingredients! Needless to say, neither of us could finish it. It was by far the best omelette I've ever eaten.

Grimy and old looking plastic decor. I don't like thinking about the sanitary aspect of my food when eating. Cheap prices and cheap food. Will not return, ever.

Was there the past Saturday the food was ok. And when I checked my bank statement. I noticed they over charged me. Without a POS system they didn't have transaction of my credit card. Didn't feel comfortable printing my bank statement to bring to them. Just didn't like their lack of customer service. And make sure you pay with cash when you go.

This is the Original Jimmy's Egg. It is a bit older and it basically an old diner. To me that is a good thing. I love the atmosphere here almost as much as the food. If you want newer and more sparkly there are several other Jimmy's Eggs around town but the food is great at any of them. Everything is freshly made. As ordered. Delivered hot as it's made. This is not Denny's or IHOP. cinnamon-raisin bread is always a must and the wife loves the cinnamon rolls. I haven't had anything that was not good. Breakfast foods are their specialties, especially the omelettes. This is my new favorite Jimmy's Egg!

I wish I could comment on the breakfast food here, but unfortunately I didn't make it that far. We waited for over 25 minutes before we stood up and walked out. No one came by our table to ask about drinks, let alone take our food orders. The place was busy enough, but I wouldn't say it was packed. There were many empty tables. This was my first time at Jimmy's Eat so I have no idea how long it normally takes to get any attention from the waitstaff, but 25 minutes just seems ridiculous.

SO GOOD for a franchise breakfast place. Everything on the menu was pretty cheap. My boyfriend and I split a five egg omelette with a choice ten ingredients and two sides. We got avocado, bell peppers, onions, mushroom, spinach, tomato, monterey jack cheese, chorizo, turkey sausage, and bacon. As our sides we got sausage gravy and biscuits and hash browns! Everything was so good and the portions were huge! Since I'm from Los Angeles, I've never tried biscuit and gravy and it was so good! All the workers there were super friendly. I will definitely be coming back to any Jimmy's Eggs if I ever visit Oklahoma again!

I normally don't do reviews for chains, but I am making an exception for this place. I came in here on a Saturday at 11, they were busy but there were several empty tables. We sat ourselves and waited. And waited. Several waitress scurried past us without even acknowledging us. After 20 minutes of them failing to notice us despite us trying to get their attention (which was far too generous for me, but my husband is much more generous than I am) we left. A horrible experience especially considering the great service I've received at other Jimmy's locations. ALSO, this is the worst smelling Jimmy's egg I've ever been to. We left smelling horribly of kitchen smoke. So if you have somewhere to be after stopping here, don't stop here.

I have been a Jimmy's Egg patron for years, even BEFORE Jim made it Jimmy's Egg!! We attempted to have breakfast at this location this morning, only to sit at a dirty table (bussed but not cleaned) for more than 30 minutes without even an acknowledgement from wait staff. Then once I spoke up, it was answered with only rude behavior and, "We're working as fast as we can!" Yes, you're busy but it doesn't mean you can or should IGNORE a table full of customers for a half an hour and then be rude when asked if we could get some service!! Seriously?!! We won't return to this location, but will continue to frequent the locations with SUFFICIENT and PLEASANT staff!!!

This place was pretty bad. Floors were dirty, there was lipstick on my coffee cup that wasnt mine, and the waitress never replaced it after I asked. The food came out all at different times instead of all at once and it was pretty underwhelming. The waitress wasn't friendly either. Go ahead and skip this one, your stomach will thank you.

Yeah Jimmy's Egg! We've been to several locations and they all appear to offer the same, good dinner food with good service.

SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN OKC I can count the reasons for visiting OKC on one hand- and it's not even the entire hand. One thing I can look forward to when visiting OKC is breakfast at Jimmy's Egg. I've been to a couple of them (one recent Friday morning to this one) and the breakfast items I've had did not disappoint. This time around I tried the French Toast and it was delicious! I already love just about any type of bread, but when it comes to french toast I LOVE it. I'll have to say after eating french toast around the globe it ranks as one of the top 5. So looks like I've found my staple dish at this place. The service was both attentive and pleasant. There's not much more you can ask from a breakfast except the rest of the day off from work! As a vegetarian I can't speak for the meat items, but my carnivore friends working on their colon cancer seem to be highly satisfied with their selections each time including the Popeye's Revenge Omelette. Thank you Jimmy's Egg Restaurant for making OKC much more palatable to visit!

Great Breakfast Spot! Drove through the night cross country and found this gem. Delicious pancakes, Omlettes and best of all the Homemade Cinnamon Raisin Toast! Hands down one of the most delicious breads I've tasted. Great spot. You just can't go wrong. I believe this is the original location as it had many locals singing praises of Jimmy's Egg.

Ate breakfast here after staying a night in Oklahoma City on a drive across the country. It was EXACTLY what we needed. We got our order to-go and ate in the car because we were traveling with the dogs otherwise we totally would have eaten inside. The place is cute, very much just a diner, and you can see them cook your food which always makes me feel a little better. The woman who helped us was sweet and the food...amazing! The eggs benedict and french toast were delicious. Even their orange juice was good. If we ever find ourselves in Oklahoma City again, we'll definitely stop here!

This has been my favorite breakfast spot for 20 years. Staff is always great. I love this one location the most because you can sit at the counter and watch the chef make the ginormous omlettes. The homemade bread sets this joint apart from the rest. I have long since moved from OKC, OK but when I go back to visit family it is a must on our list to go to. The omettle are light, fluffy and who can be disappointed they are made with any and I mean any ingrediant you can dream up. The homefries are the best I have ever enjoyed and I drool over the homemade toast. The cinnamon raisen is my favorite. Honestly I could eat that and coffee and be a happy woman. My kids love going there as well. They beg to go there when we go. Now in Tampa, FL I was reminded of Jimmy's Egg today as we ate at a wanna be joint this morning. It left me longing for Jimmy's Egg, we may be taking a road trip real soon!

Diners are not just in movies! This was a great little diner, almost out of a classic movie. Food was good, not exactly as ordered, but you look past that just for the sheer fact that you never imagine a place like this existing. The food was good, and the prices were reasonable. Best part the waitress in her 50s was on her iPhone part of the time. Hands down some great experiences and stories came just out of a one hour lunch break!

Stopped in Oklahoma City on our way cross country. After driving ten hours the previous day we came to Jimmys for breakfast before taking on another long drive. The huge 5 egg, ten inclusions (! Cheap too!) omelette was just what we needed, especially after reluctantly eating fast food most of our drive so far. The bread is to die for and our waitress Brenda, was the best! Also it's just a nice atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Definitely go here for the omelettes! I come to OKCity once in the blue moon when I can to visit family members or for business. But each time, I tried to stop at Jimmy's Eggs for their omelettes. I was last here two years ago so I am not sure of any changes to the facility or other food. But yes - I love the omelette, fluffy, and adequately moist. The portion is too large for me, but again, that is ME. So I never could finish my food and always end up having the omelette for late snack/lunch or dinner. Cannot add more to this review since most already ahve given much...

Great breakfast restaurant. Very crowded, but quick seating at the bar. Nice staff, fast service. Good size portions with prompt coffee refills.

Great breakfast dive. Crowded so we sat at the bar and watched the short order cooks. Outstanding breakfast grub. Dirty and the staff is a little grungy but that is what makes this and great dive. Had the garbage plate and it was perfect. My Wife had an omelete and it was delightful as well. Def go back if I am in that part of town. downside, your clothes will smell like breakfast for the rest of the day. Shower and change clothes after you eat there.

I love a place with grits. I know in OKC they know how to do Grits (duh... ;-) but Jimmy's Egg is all that everyone has said... diner atmosphere, experienced waitstaff, good food, amazing baked goods, and a good, solid breakfast - nothing fancy.. AND a huge bowl of Grits. Yum-mee!! I visit family in OKC and Jimmy's Egg is usually on the 'gotta go' for me when I'm there... it is just around the corner from my dad's; and if you don't know the road it can be tricky to get in and out of -- seeing the surrounding neighborhood is just something I do when driving myself in unfamiliar terrain - :D.

Best breakfast on the northside. Omlets to kill for. I think my favorite was the garbage plate. The bread is also amazing.

Friendly service. Our waitress was a little fumbled around by the heat and forgot/misplaced a few things. No big deal. Good prices and stuff. Great banana strawberry pancakes.

My understanding is this is the original Jimmy's Egg location. The food is delicious diner-style, and the waitresses are fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and just a bit sassy. Exactly what you want in a diner waitress. The prices are reasonable, and the food tasty. However, if you're a health nut, I have to recommend skipping this place. They put butter on their butter and fry absolutely everything. Possibly not the oatmeal, but I wouldn't bet my first born on that. Try the homemade white toast (incredible), and you have to have at least ONE slice of the raisin toast (my first slice was free, and I can tell you, I'm definitely an addict now). *Caution* Do not get the raisin toast as your French Toast. It doesn't work. And when you ask for the white toast instead as your French toast, ask for it well done. TRUST ME. The coffee is solid as is the iced tea. The omelets are good (the Paradise omelet is still my favorite). If you're in the mood for lunch rather than breakfast, I recommend getting the mashed potatoes as your side, and go for the brown gravy. I usually hate restaurant gravy, but I could eat this with a spoon. Hyperbole? Not really. Anyway, give the Jimmy's Egg on 16th and May a try! You won't regret it.

Jimmy's Egg was a lot better than I had expected to be honest. The inside was nice and clean. It wasn't the "greasy spoon" I had expected. I had the Jimmy's Big Omelet, which they happily made with egg whites only. The omelet was bland and so were the hash browns, but I can't fault them too much as it is very difficult to get good produce and meat here in Oklahoma. I would rate them a 3 just based on the establishment and on the omelet, but they bake their own biscuits and bread. The biscuits were really good. The service was a little on the slow side, but they were fairly busy and the waiter was really nice.

Jimmy's Egg is simply the best home stile breakfast pace in Oklahoma City. The menu full of great items, but through it away. Just tell the very nice waitress what you want. Don't expect champaign. But if you want peanut butter for your toast... they are happy to serve. Like most great places, Jimmy's Egg can be crowded if you show up on Sunday at 11:30. Jimmy's Egg has several locations in town. Some a just a little better then others but all are very good.

Solid diner-style breakfast. Don't go if you're into health foods. Coffee is good, toast is above average, portions generous.

I feel compelled to write a review because Jimmy's is my boyfriend's favorite place. So I go there quite often although it's not my favorite. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. They have a decent menu with standard greasy spoon breakfast options. However, they offer some standout items. If you're in the mood for a heart attack, order the Biscuit Debris. It is biscuits & gravy topped with ham cubes, sausage, & cheddar cheese. Despite the alarming fat content, it's very tasty. Also, Jimmy's has the best hash browns of any place I've been. You know how the pictures look on the Denny's menu...crisp, golden, crunchy? Well, that's how Jimmy's hash browns look & taste. Also, the Belgian waffle with strawberry topping is great when you're in the mood for something sweet. I will warn you that the strawberries are never fresh--they're they syrupy frozen kind. However, they warm them up and bring it along with a bowl of whipped cream. Yummy. Omelets are a specialty here. Order yours with avocado, bacon, and cheddar for a great combo. Also, they have delicious homemade bread or toast. Make sure to get it! Because there are various locations, the atmosphere is different in each one. The one I go to is classic greasy spoon where you can watch the cooks at the counter. The one in Midwest City and the one off Classen have a bit more of a family dining atmosphere. So if you're looking for a classic hearty breakfast, try Jimmy's Egg!

I used to live in oklahoma when I was a little girl and I had seen jimmy's eggs various times but have never eaten there. when recently visiting family, one morning my cousin suggested that we go there, and we did. i got the best fruit topped belgium waffle. it was great... especially with brown sugar...but i think it's pretty hard to screw up breakfast. It has to be one of the easiest meals to make. pretty darn good!

Traveling from Amarillo Texas and found this little place. Service was great! Fresh food, will be coming here again when in Oklahoma City. We are always looking for good places to eat, breakfast, burgers. Menu has lots to choose from. Friendly service

Of the Jimmy's Eggs I've been to - and I've been to a lot. This is probably the worst. However, it is also the one I frequent the most. It's more diner-like than restaurant so you see the whole line of cooks and everything comes out super fast always. The service is almost always horrible with your typical "diner lady" never bringing you a refill if you get water. There are a couple things health/sanitary wise that make me a little queasy but it is what it is. It's a diner. It's not like some of the other Jimmy's Egg where they have a host and the server greets you with water and brings you the menu and silverware or anything like that. If I need to get in and out, this is the location I go to and the food always tastes just as it should and that's all that matters to me! Original Tip: The food comes out lightning speed but don't expect even decent service.

I can't say Jimmy's Egg is just bad, it's just that I prefer the alternatives at this price point, IHOP or Waffle House. I would also highly prefer First Watch, All About Cha, or Whiskey Cake but then we'd be comparing apples and oranges. I may return sometime and you really can't go wrong with scrambled eggs, grits/biscuits, and pancakes but just remember other options are much better.

Much better experience at this location than other visits to Jimmys. Had the country benedict. Biggest gripe would be the home fries as they really sucked. I'll stick with the hashbrowns on future visits.

Stopped in for breakfast - food was in front of me so fast! As I was dining alone, I sat at the counter. Both my waitress & the cook interacted with me & were very friendly. My waitress was attentive & kept my drink refilled, ensured that I had the type of jelly/jam that I preferred & followed up a couple of times to see if I needed anything. Food was cooked perfectly. I had 2 eggs over easy, grits, cup of fruit & if course the homemade white toast. Everything was delicious. The environment, while clean, is a bit older & has a feel of a slightly dive diner. Don't let that stop you from visiting this location. Good food, great service & good value.

I came here on a Wednesday in the late morning to get some brunch. I was pleased with the service and menu options, but when my meal arrived, I wasn't blown away by it. It seemed as though the eggs weren't cooked at the right temperature, and ciabatta bread didn't seem like a logical option for a breakfast sandwich. The flavors didn't blend well, and it would have been better if they served it on a kaiser roll. The home fries weren't cooked for long enough [I generally like my food well-done, with the exception of steak]. It was pretty good for breakfast, but not the best I've had.

Cute diner with great breakfast selections. A friend and I headed in before a day of sightseeing in OKC and it was a great way to start the day. It was self-seating when we arrived - everyone seemed to know everyone in this location and there were LOTS of regulars. The waitress asked if we needed a menu, which tells you right away all the people who come in have "the usual." Staff was really nice, super fast and the food was fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the country benedict - biscuits, eggs over medium and gravy. YUM!!!
