    I checked this place out the other day and I absolutely was not disappointed. The menu was a bit overwhelming at first but everything sounded fantastic. With your dinner entree also comes wonderful salad and fresh baked bread for the table. The food here is wonderful, everything I tried was incredibly amazing and I will definitely be back again soon. A couple of things I recommend would be the Italian Nachos and the Tortellini. They also have a great beer selection, 29 taps and loads more bottles along with a robust wine list to compliment everything they cook. The kitchen is fully open so you can see what the cooks are doing. I thought that was really neat, you can also see the only brick fire oven in Oklahoma do its magic on the pizzas. The building is very large and can seat many, but there can be a wait to be seated. All in all I had a great time and will definitely be returning soon.

    We had made reservations for 8 people. After we were seated we were forgotten. It took 10-15 minutes to get water then menus. After we all received our food we realized my mom had no food. The waiter said it just didn't go through. We had no time to waste as we had an event to be at so we shared. Not sure we will go back.

    Overall, Gabriella's is good and certainly worth trying. They have some of THE best Chicken Parmigiana around. Seriously. It melts in your mouth and doesn't skimp on size. They also have a Roasted Garlic Tortellini which is practically sinful it's so rich and tasty. The fried mozzarella is delicious, as are the standard appetizers you get with your meal - bread, house salad, and cheese. The things that keep them from being great is that while if you get something good it's actually great (like the parmigiana), but if not, then it's just okay and not really worth $15-20 a pop. The Pizza Margherita was incredibly bland, as was the Coal Miner's Spaghetti. I wouldn't recommend either. They weren't bad at all, just nothing special. The Roast Beef Pappardelle was also decent. Better than the other two, but not fabulous. Otherwise, while the staff has always been friendly and provided good service, I have also tried calling to place a To-Go order on several occasions and they never answered the phone. Last time, out of sheer frustration and morbid curiosity, I tried calling for hours. No answer to be had and no response when I emailed them about it. Overall, it's a fun place to go in a group, especially with the layout of the individual "rooms" and the Chianti bottle candles on the tables, and I'd recommend it . Just wish it was a little more like Isle of Capri in Krebs, OK, where everything is great, not just hit or miss.

    i'm definitely not the type to typically write terrible reviews, but i couldn't be quiet on this one. food was ok at best. the service was terrible. got there at 730pm to meet family for a birthday dinner. my father in law made reservation days in advance as there were 8 of us. we were finally seated at a table at 830pm. at no point did anyone working there attempt to get us a drink, or attempt to simply explain why we were having to wait. every time someone from our party asked about it we were told they had no idea how long it would take. then what was the point in making a reservation in the first place? i would understand if everyone was late, but every person was there early except my wife and i who arrived promptly at 730. there were 3couples that had reservations around the same time as us with 2-4 in their party that actually left to go eat elsewhere bc of the wait. we would have done the same except for the size of our party being so large. we were worried we would have to wait again. once we were finally seated we ordered almost immediately and it then took an hour to get the food. at 1015pm we finally got up from the table to leave. no one other than our server ever apologized to us at all. won't be going back.

    Gabriella's is simply the best Italian restaurant in Oklahoma City and quite possibly beyond. There are many fine Italian establishments in this area but none match the exceptional quality, flavor, atmosphere, personal service and menu variety of Gabriella's. I am not a big seafood person but the Jalapeno Garlic Tilapia is to die for as are the other items I have tried on the menu. I finally tried Gabriella's about a month and a half ago after hearing my golf partner rave about it and I have been back at least once a week ever since. Do yourself a favor and try this place. You will be glad you did.

    I don't know what food the people who gave this place five stars eat, but that's not what we received on our visit. Our experience started out by waiting thirty minutes even though we showed up on time to our reservation. They even set people that came in after us so don't bother making one. The only pro I have about this place was our waiter, he was incredibly nice and I wish he cooked the food. Everything else was terrible! Including the hostesses, they are so rude and ignorant beyond belief. Even the salad dressing was bad, it was to salty to eat. How does a Italian place screw up Italian dressing. The bread was ok I guess but bread is bread. Our entrees finally arrived after what seemed to be hours and mine was heavy on the garlic. Also note chef big ego won't alter her recipes so if you take kids it's a pretty narrow menu. Luckily the allowed me the pleasure of picking out several bell peppers. Our whole party was sick as soon as we took the first bite. Not going back, would rather starve. If you want real Italian food go to papa dios by Hefner or even zios would be a step up for gods sake. DON'T GO HERE.

    I haven't been awhile, primarily because I have gotten the impression that you must have a reservation to go- that ruled out any spontaneous visits. Went on a Monday yesterday for my birthday. Based on the service we received yesterday, it seems that management listened and made improvements in that area- service was great. The food however, seemed to have slipped a little. Previously favorite appetizers - fried portabella mushrooms and risotto balls, had breading that was dry and just not right. We did try a new dish, pasta with pistachios. It was delicious, but very rich. We had the Italian donuts for dessert and enjoyed them very much. The atmosphere is perfect for a date if you get one of the little rooms. Love the kitschy red gingham tablecloths, melted candle in wine bottle, and Dean Martin playing. They also have a terrific and large list of draft beers. Overall, I still love this place.

    In my opinion, the best Italian restaurant in OKC!! Not only do they have a good amount of options available, but they execute well on all of them. They do not skimp on portion size either, which is very important to me. All the pastas, pizza, meat dishes, appetizers are amazing and I have tried a lot of them! Pasta is al dente and sauces all homemade. The desserts are just as huge and delish too. Easily the best carrot cake I've ever had. And biggest too. The ambiance and environment is great too. Feels very homey and like you just want to hang out there. The staff are all very nice and fun and outgoing. I could go on and on about this place. Definitely a must go to in OkC. Just don't take my table...

    I've been here three times and I waited to review the place because I really wanted to have a great dining experience. Didn't happen. The service was very slow though the waiter was friendly enough and appeared to be doing the best he could. The service has been slow each time we've been to Gabriella's. Our reservation was for 7:15 and we arrived at 7:00 to wait on friends. They showed up right at 7:15. We weren't seated until almost 7:30 and no one even bothered to acknowledge us or apologize for the wait. I get the impression these folks think they're doing us a favor by allowing us to dine at Gabriella's! The food was very good and very authentic. The food has been great each time we've been in but the lack of service and other issues make the overall experience rate 3 stars at best. If I come back it'll be for take out.

    Mamma Mia I love this place! The best Italian in OKC in my mind! If you ever been to Krebs, OK to visit Pete's Place, well Gabrielle's is the sister restaurant. Owned by the same family but now in the city and even better in my opinion. The menu has long lists of apps, pizzas, pastas, entrees and dessert. The interior is dimly lit and has one big dining space with intimate dining spaces lining the sides. These areas make you feel like you're sitting in your own dinning room eating with just your family. For me, my favorites include the mussels appetizer and the sausage broccoli orecchiette pasta! The mussels are big but worth it. A butter broth with bacon and jalepenos and awesome crusty bread for dipping. You also get a complimentary family size salad, soft homemade bread and a pepper and cheese plate for the table before your meal comes. Overall it doesn't get better than this! Amazing wine, Frank Sinatra playing in the background, wine bottle candles on the table and great homemade Italian food!

    This place may be going for the World Record for Bad Customer Service. While the food is good and the drink prices are spot on, the hosts are aloof, the waiters are poorly trained, and management is lost when it comes to good customer service. I have been witness to numerous instances of the owner/manager(?) literally YELLING at customers or staff because he doesn't like their reaction to the food, or is flustered by his own inefficient reservation/seating system. This attitude carries down to many of the staff, who act as though we should be grateful to be in their presence. They are in desperate need of a food consultant to help them, but I am not willing to work with management who is so obviously obstinate and bull-headed. It is sad to watch good food go to waste, but there are many Italian places in OKC, and I would steer clear of this place until ownership changes.

    I've been told by friends to come check this out since it changed hands and became an Italian place so I did. We made reservations so there wasn't a wait on a Saturday evening and we were seated promptly. The waitress was okay, seemed a bit slow as we had to wait on refills of drinks and bread. Bread was good. Heard the salad was good, didn't try it. I ordered lasagna, husband ordered the chicken parm. Portions were huge, you'll take some home. Chicken was cooked perfectly. So was my lasagna but I just wasn't overwhelmed. I wanted to fall in love and it just didn't happen. But now I can say I've been.

    Gabriella's is my favorite Italian spot, and I've tried many in the area. Great service. The lasagna is amazing. The sausage they use has a certain sweetness to it and compliments the sauce well. Great pizza too. Atmosphere is awesome. Recommend sitting in the bar area, has a great view of the city.

    Gratzi! I am thrilled to have found an italian restaurant that took me back to my childhood in New Jersey! I like the atmosphere - casual and cozy. There are small open rooms, a long community table and the back room with the bar is another environment also. We ate at the bar and were welcomed from the start! The beer list is international. The cocktail menu is exciting and the dinner menu a challenge to choose from! The garlic bread was toasted and crispy. A dish of balsamic dipping sauce was provided too. We shared a house salad that came family style and had the best homemade salad dressing! This took me back to NJ! I had the mussels. Delish! My husband had linguini with clam sauce. The clams were real baby clams - not diced out of a can! Ok, so the food was awesome! We were stuffed but...I got an order (2) of cannoli to go. The shells were made fresh, the filling is pure italian! I just found my favorite italian restaurant in OKC! Go! GO!! And go again!

    I ordered pasta la tonno with tuna sun dried tomatoes and spicy sauce to die for . Generous portions and taking it home. Zucchini sticks were huge and great with a lemony sauce, all gone! Beverage was an angry hoe, with cider. It was tasty and went down smooth. Ice cream cake to follow ...

    I called in a to go order. It was my first time going here so I was really excited. I got spaghetti and meat sauce and baked ziti. Should not take long to prepare. They told me it would be 15-30mins. I got there after 25 mins and stood by he bar for 5 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me. I paid for the to go and the bartender walked into the kitchen and very loudly screamed my name. I proceeded to stand by the bar awkwardly for another 25 mins before the owner came by and asked me if I was waiting for something. I told him yes for a to go and he went in the kitchen and asked if t was ready. They said no, which I could hear. The owner said your Order isn't ready and walked away. I stood another 5 minutes. I finally got my food. I told the owner as I was walking out that I just waited 45-50 minutes for a to go order when they told me it was going to be 20. He said well at last the food is fresh. I paid nearly $50 and my order is wrong. I order my pasta with spaghetti noodles and that is wrong. I ordered 2 salads and only got one. I will not be back to this place.

    The service was abysmal from the moment we walked in and didn't get much better after that. The food was ok, nothing amazing though but I'd rather have spent my money elsewhere. Do not seem to have enough servers to manage the load even though we went around 5pm, so on the early side of things. Nothing like waiting and waiting for refills as well as having a plate of garlic and oil and no bread for 15 minutes (having had to ask for the bread to begin with). Just not where I'll be spending any further time or money.

    Really great food every time I've been, along with pretty friendly waiters. The worst part has been waiting for a table and having to deal with the hostesses. Reservations are highly recommended to even get close to being sat down quickly. If they're going for the full Italian experience, then it is pretty spot on for Europe, which is to say at a leisurely pace with no hurry.

    This is a long review, so here's a quick summary: The food is heavy and rich but very tasty, service is excellent, and the ambiance is kitschy but warm and friendly. Do some research before you order, and you should be good to go! I would give Gabriella's a 3.5, but I liked our waiter Oscar so much, and I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to customize my order to my personal taste during future visits, that I chose to round up my rating to a 4 rather than rounding down to a 3. First up: ambiance. I agree with Elise P. that it's "kitschy rustic Italian, Oklahoma style" and that it's a little strange that you're eating in a barn. Walking in, you may feel like you're in the Gordon Ramsay shouting fest that is "Restaurant Nightmare" or other shows of its ilk, but before you bolt out the front door, give it a chance. You will be seated at a table with candlestick covered in red, green, and white candle drippings -- it kind of reminds me of that James Bond movie that involves voodoo -- but that weird, creepy feeling will soon be replaced with warm fuzzies because of the super adorable older couples around you, and with some luck, you'll get Oscar, the most enthusiastic-without-being-overbearing-and-­annoying waiter ever. You will be served a complimentary salad that is over-dressed but strangely lacking in flavor (where's the salt?), as well as bread with a dipping oil made of a balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and fried garlic. The salad was so soaked in liquid (oil?) that it looked pickled, and the dip was essentially oil -- although the fried garlic bits were surprising and delicious. I know this sounds bad, but here's what I plan to do next time: ask the waiter for a salad with the dressing on the side and for extra balsamic vinegar for the dip. This will come in handy for when you get your surprisingly flavorful entrees. It is surprising because the bland salad dressing contrasts sharply with the saltiness and richness of the tuna pasta and cioppino that we ordered. The tuna pasta was filled with flaked tuna, sun dried tomatoes, and I don't remember what else. It was really tasty but really, really oily, and the undressed salad would have helped to balance out the richness of the dish. The cioppino was so garlicky, I thought I was in a Korean restaurant. It was rich and savory, and I liked the tender scallops and fish pieces, but the shellfish wasn't quite as fresh as I would like. Next time, I'll probably try out a tomato based pasta or the lasagna because I was craving more acid to cut the oil. The pizza also looked really good. We loved the carrot cake -- 6 layers of spicy, nutty, fruity cake with slightly sour cream cheese frosting. We also had the fried mushroom appetizer, which was too bready for our taste, but the portobellos themselves were satisfying toothy and savory once we peeled off the breading. We spent ~$75 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and dessert, which I don't think it unreasonable for a such large portions. I will come back for the lasagna, pizza, and pastas.

    Do not get the chicken marsala or the fake tiramisu. They did not remove it from the bill even though it was gross and returned. The country ambience was conflicting with Italian cuisine. It was a stretch for Italian but wonderful waiter service. The chicken marsala glaze was not made with Marsala wine but worth something much sweeter, perhaps even had sugar added. The mashed potatoes had an exuberant amount of salt. The tiramisu was not soaked in coffee or even a hint of it. When sent back, the owner said it was good. Well, it wasn't. It was merely plain vanilla pudding on lady fingers sprinkled with cinnamon. It seems to be true in all types of businesses in Oklahoma, they will get the business no matter what for two reasons. One, because there is nothing else and two, because the locals (who are the nicest folks on earth) don't know any better.

    First of all, this building is very sentimental to me because my family used to eat here all the time when it was the County Line. It really brings back memories of my dad so needless to say, I love the location. The first thing I didn't know about Gabriella's was the fact that reservations are practically mandatory. We came in at 4:30 for a late lunch/early dinner and they had a hard time getting us a table because they were all reserved even though the restaurant was half empty. We ended up being seated in one of the little private(ish) rooms and I felt pretty fortunate to have gotten a table there (or at all) without reservations. We ordered water and my mom had some red wine (which was only $6/glass!) and they have a huge beer menu which I will keep in mind for next time! They brought out complimentary cheese, salad and garlic bread, both of which were tasty and turned me into a ravenous beast because it made me realize how hungry I was! I really could not get enough of the salad. It was really very simple, yet delicious. For an entree, I ordered the pasta pomodoro which was one of the cheapest entrees on the menu at $12. Even though this is a simple dish, they really knew how to do it right because it was exquisite. Not only that, the portions were huge and I was able to take half of it home. My only beef with this place (pun intended) is that there are only two vegetarian entrees on their entire menu, which is quite exhaustive. I can't be too discouraged by that though since my meal was truly wonderful so I really wouldn't mind ordering it again the next time I return. Also, I ordered my daughter a child's pizza which was not actually listed on the kid's menu but available for order. It was only $6 and it was huge, plus their pizza is very good! On top of everything else, the service was wonderful. The manager, who made it possible for us to be seated, came in to our room around mid-meal to check on us. We were very thankful that they were able to seat us because we had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. I can't wait to share this place with my out of town friends/relatives. It really was a 5 star experience!

    The best Italian in Oklahoma City! A few tips... 1) Ask for Oscar because he's the best waiter ever. 2) Make a reservation every time on any day. Even when you have a reservation, be prepared to wait for your table. 3) Don't go here if you're in a hurry. 4) Fast the day before. You'll want drinks, salad, bread, dinner AND dessert.

    Extraordinary authentic Italian food. If anyone has heard of Giacomos in Krebs, Ok the owner is the same. I had the Brussels Sprouts and linguine (shaved Brussels sprouts bacon butter garlic salt pepper), nothing short delightful. I was hesitant about the bacon but all was in the correct proportion. Meals come with garlic bread and dipping sauce (roasted garlic, oil, balsamic vinegar and herbs) and a little extra to clean your pallet (slice of muenster cheese, olives and pepperoccinnis - a previous review called this antipasta and it is not, they have delightful antipasta or appetizers on the menu). I got the kiddo speghetti and tiramisu (made from scratch). They have a patio with a great view. Drunken scholar is a bar next door where you can order from their menu while dining. The inside is homey and friendly so not your typical restaurant. Genuine and unique Italian presence. Okc needed a good and authentic Italian restaurant not just chain restaurants.

    Normally I would give this restaurant 5 stars. The food was good as always but our waiter was not up to the standard we have had in the past. Sat for over 30 mins with nothing but our drinks and we had ordered an appetizer. The waiter stated he would give us the appetizer for half off and when we received the ticket he had charged us full price. We were there for an hour and forty five mins. I know this restaurant isn't a rush rush eat then leave but the timing of the appetizer then salad, etc then our food was horrible. And he only gave us refills on our drinks once. Gabriella's is one of my favorite restaurants but this time around left me disappointed.

    I can't truly rate Gabriella's yet, but my aim in this pre-visit review is to offer an impression or two (think of this as a tip- something I can't do without rating or having checked in). Without calling ahead, my date and I showed up to Gabriella's with a hope for something a little different than Flip's or Stella. I love that this is off the beaten path (sorry, Adventure District). I love that Taleggio was featured on the marquis outside the restaurant. I love that the dishes are mostly made in house- fresh sauces, fresh sausage, fresh pasta. I love that it feels less up-and-coming fancy pants OKC and more generic Italian American with a bit of kitsch (pigs as chefs, pastry case choc full of tiramisu, Italian Wedding Cake, cannoli, and more). I love that there were no tables available for 40 minutes (the reason we didn't stay: had tickets to a show). I love that Garrison Keillor happened to be on as we pulled away from the parking lot- with a guest speaking only in italiano. Coincidental, yes; pure all the same. Next time, I'll reserve a table. Until soon, una brava ragazza affamata.

    It pains me to write this but I'm breaking up with you, Gabriella. Yesterday will have been my fourth visit to this restaurant in 30-days time and it will most definitely be the last. While the servers are still, in my opinion, capable and attentive the owner/head chef is not. I ordered a spaghetti dish minus bacon (I'm a vegetarian) and although I've successfully received it this way before (last week to be exact) the owner overheard and very rudely piped up (she and her brood of 5-6 were seated nearby), announced who she was and proceeded to admonish the server for trying to accommodate my order. "That's a signature dish and we only make it one way," "well, the bacon was left out the last time I asked," "well, I don't know who made it but they shouldn't have" and immediately stood up from her table and stormed into the kitchen to give the staff another ear full. Hm. The staff shouldn't have accommodated your customer's minor request? I wasn't asking for the dish to be reinvented. Give me a break. Someone told me once that a customer will patronize a restaurant for its good service, even if the food is only decent, but customers don't return to a restaurant with great food and poor service. I agree, wholeheartedly.

    If you have any food allergies or dislike DON'T go to Gabriela's. They're totally unaccommodating. They won't take anything out that you are allergic to or simply dislike. Examples: the salad. I am allergic to tomatoes. The waiter said they would hold the them. Well got the salad. I ate some then saw tomato seeds all over the lettuce. So I end up with a rash on my tongue and chin! My husband wanted the Venetian seafood feast without the olives. Our server simply said no because it would alter the dish. We ended up getting 4 side items. Not bad but we won't be back.

    Waited over an hour to get our food. There was no heat in the building. Very cold. Music was so loud we asked to move. Other diners left due to the noise. Salad was all stems, very little leaf. Did not seem to have enough staff. Chicken Parmesan was excellent and hot when finally arrived. Chocolate cake desert was fresh, tasty and well presented. Ok place just be prepared for a long wait.

    This used to be me & my fiancé's favorite Italian restaurant in OKC until they revised the menu and removed the fettuccine Alfredo & carbonara americano. These were two amazing dishes we would order regularly and have tried other dishes since and were less satisfied. We haven't been back since and will continue to try other Italian places to suit our needs.

    I first came to Gabriella's back in December for an event. The food was fantastic and so was the staff. It was fun times. Fast forward 5 months later and I felt like I went to a completely different restaurant. Reservations are a must even on a weekday. I've heard from friends who have gotten turned away. We had a 7:15pm reservation on a Thursday evening. We stood at the hostess stand for quite a while before an employee appeared. She asked us to wait a bit and walked off. After she came back and looked us up on the computer, we waited some more. What irritated me was a couple of guys who came in after us without any reservations were seated immediately while we waited for our table. Huh??? I ordered the Sausage and Peppers Classico. It was in red letters on the menu which meant it was suppose to be spicy but it wasn't. It tasted alright - some of the pasta on the outer layer was already getting hard by the time my plate arrived. Bread sticks and salad also came with the meal (not impressed). Prices were not cheap. Pretty much all the entrees were a minimum of $15. You're looking at spending about $50 after tip for two people. And that's without any appetizers, alcohol, or dessert.

    If you order the specialty drink with the muddled fresh basil, limoncello and "hand squeezed limes", you will not get it from Brittany the bartender. I even offered to squeeze the limes for her and still she said no. I just don't even know what else to say. So, I will say no more.

    The only reason this place doesn't get a 1 star is that the food is actually good. The service I've received the last two times I've been here have been so unacceptable I doubt I'll come back. We had reservations tonight for 9 people (birthday) at 7:15. They don't seat you till your party is there, which I understand, but through a miscommunication with the hostess we didn't get seated till 7:50. (We were all there at 7:15). We had a drink while waiting so no problem. Our waitress was super nice, but either they over sat her or she's one of the slowest waitresses I've ever had. It took 2 & 1/2 hrs to eat dinner. We got out first course an hour after we sat down. They did get us drinks twice in that hour. In the following 1 & 1/2 we only got 2 glasses of water, had to ask for almost everything imaginable, bread, parm cheese, red pepper, plates, more forks, keep asking for water etc. No managers ever came to check on our service/group and they gave our waitress no real additional help for a party of our size. For the $80+ dollars that was my portion of the bill I felt really let down. If I wasn't there with such excellent company and for an occasion I might have just asked to leave in that first hour. Serious attention needs to be given to the service.

    nothing short of out freaking standing! quick service, fantastic food both in appetizers and entrees. ms Vicky checks on us personally and gave the bday boy a free tee shirt! a ribeye so big it was literally filling the plate and cooked to perfection. needless to say, we have found out new best restaurant for Italian and steak and eating out period... don't waste any time, take your fam to Gabriella's immediately if not sooner.

    Really crowded and took over an hour to get our food. The back room was so loud everyone was yelling. Lasagna was so burnt it looked like chicken and they acted like we were in the wrong to ask for another one. Probably won't be going back.

    Excellent Food, Service is Mediocre Make a reservation no matter what day or time! It is mandatory! I've eaten here several times now, and I've tried many of the major dishes. Some of them are so good that I have to close my eyes for a few seconds and relish the moment. Others are just OK, and should be avoided. We will go over this in a minute. First things First... the Service I really want to speak to the Service because I've had several waiters and different experiences which rate from bad to mediocre. My drink has almost always been left empty to a point where I become frustrated. And, the bread bowl is never refilled unless you specifically ask for it. They will come and clear away dishes right before the appetizer arrives, leaving you nothing to eat on. My experience is always set around bizarre and unthoughful service. It's as if the wait staff is extremely distracted by some other processes going on behind the scenes. For some reason, this place does not run smoothly. It does not provide enough comfort for the guests. I truly wish that the Owner could discover how to help the restaurant run more efficiently. If he could do that, it would be majorly appreciated by the wait staff and the guests. See what I'm doing here? I blame the Owner because the wait staff appear to be running laps in order to maintain mediocre service. I think that the wait staff are filling in the gaps behind the scenes (just my guess). My mom showed up one evening (with a reservation) which they had lost. After some long discussion, she was able to be seated. She ordered a pizza. The balsamic and oil came out, then the pizza, then the salad, then the bread at the end. All of this came out completely backwards. So, on top of losing the reservation, and causing her some frustration the service was "staggering" to the imagination. This after I had highly recommended her to eat here. The Owner needs to figure out why the restaurant is not running efficiently. Here is what I've eaten: Salad - simple delicious iceberg lettuce & tomatoes with a signature red vinegar sauce that will make you wish you had some to take home. Garlic Bread - made to order from what I can tell, toasty and very good. I wish that they weren't so stingy about bringing more of it. Balsamic & Oil (with toasted garlic flakes) - the olive oil is so good, I'm wondering if it is even possible to buy in Oklahoma. Same with the Balsamic. This is very high quality stuff to me. For real Italians it may be just normal. Mozzarella Cheese - panko breaded flat pieces of mozzarella, toasted to a light golden brown and served with some made from scratch marinara sauce. They were extremely good especially with the sauce. Steak Pizzaiola - this was absolutely breathtaking (please beware the steak comes out rare) it is grilled marinated flank steak on top of onions, peppers and made from scratch sauce. It sounds so simple yet it was so much more. This is up there with one of the best experiences I've ever had eating a meal. The flavors are like nothing that I have ever tasted and I will remember this meal for the rest of my life. It is very rare for me (since I've eaten meals all over the world) to have had such a new and unique experience. The wow factor went all the way to the top on this so much that I just closed my eyes and relished in the moment. Lasagna - this is extremely good lasagna, better than any that I've ever had. The first time that I tried it, I was really overwhelmed by how good it was. It was another one of those times that I just closed my eyes and held on to the experience. The flavors are so unique to anything else that I've ever eaten my tastebuds are really wowed. The portions have changed on this one recently, they got smaller. It used to come out with 2 squares, now you only get 1 for the same price. I'm not happy about that... but if I'm only complaining about the portion size, then we're OK. I disagree that I've ever felt like this was reheated in the microwave (as someone else mentioned). Raviolis - these are fresh and homemade with made from scratch sauce on top. I like that they have different red sauces that they use, so that you get a sauce that is relevant to what you are eating. There is no where else besides Krebs Oklahoma (where these guys are from) that you will find a restaurant that makes them fresh and nearly as good. I think that they are extremely good. Chicken Parmesan - some might think that this is very good, and many have suggested it to me, however it fell short for me in many areas. It was very oily and the crust was soggy. I've not been recommending this to my friends. Summary: If you don't go up there expecting the service to be above mediocre at best (which is the perspective that I usually take now) AND you've made a reservation for early in the week AND you order something that is not mainstream... You will love it.

    Color me disappointed. I had high hopes for Gabriella's, but after dining here around Christmas, I am not sure I will ever give it a try again. We had reservations for 5 people at 8pm, and while we were seated right on time, the rest of the timing was poorly executed. I am a big believer that no one should ever have to wait for their water glass to be refilled (because how easy is that to do?!) but you also shouldn't have to wait on a refill of something you paid for such as soda, tea, or wine. Multiple times we had empty glasses and were temped to do the loud empty glass straw sound just to remedy the problem. Even worse, one guest had to ask twice before she saw the glass of wine she ordered thirty minutes prior. Unacceptable. Drinks aside, what you come to Gabriella's for is the food. We had a few appetizers (calamari and bruschetta) and they were good but were also much appreciated once we realized that our entrees were going to take their sweet time getting to us. We ended up ordering all chicken Parmesans and one chicken cacciatore. The dishes, while not bad by any means, were mostly sauce, lots of breading and just didn't meet the standards of what we were looking for in Gabriella's. We've been hoping for a new Italian spot in the metro, and unfortunately, I think we need to just keep on looking.

    Now I'm spoiled. Wow. I'm not eating at another Italian place ever. The broccoli rabe and sausage pasta is incredible. The fried risotto balls stuffed with sausage and cheese are my new bacon. Ok maybe not bacon but damn good.

    It's not great. It's also not Authentic Italian even in the loosest sense. Pretty good for Oklahoma-Italian, but not Italian. Two martini olives, two pickled peppers and two slices of Munster cheese as an "Antipasto" is about as far from authentic Italian as you can get. We had the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer. Good flavor, not Italian. For the entree, I had the Chicken and Mushroom Marsala. The sauce was very thick and tasted of uncooked, cheap Marsala. It was served with gluey, bland mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes? Not Italian. During the flu season, or any season, I really don't like to see servers picking up my glass by the rim. They should not ever do it. Never. Also, why does my glass have to be taken to the back somewhere, out of sight, to be refilled? This is against health safety standards as it reintroduces a served dish to the service area which could possibly cause cross contamination. Bring me a fresh glass or pour from a carafe. Very amateur service. They serve cheap "balsamic" vinegar and oil with their stale garlic bread. Not Italian. Pasta swimming in too much sauce. Not Italian. Parmesan cheese on over-cooked mussels. Not Italian. Although this review is negative, it wasn't terrible. If you're looking for American-Italian with an Oklahoma twist, this might be the place for you. Calling it Italian, though, is pretty far from reality. We won't be going back.

    This place is a jewel! From the outside, we weren't sure what to expect, but once the aroma of fresh Italian food hit us in the face as we entered, we were sure we were in for a treat. Each table is surrounded by three walls, which makes it private and kind of romantic on a date. And the menu is impressively extensive! I still daydream of the mussels, they could be a meal in themselves--best I've ever had! And the veal picatta was wonderful! The service was also fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough and will certainly be back soon!

    Food always wonderful! Never disappointed in the food. Reservations on the other hand not so much. If I'm organized enough to make a reservation, then please just let my party sit in the area that we would like to sit, whether it's in the back by the bar or in a side room. I do not understand the constant hassle after in advance making a request to sit in the back and a hostess then having to find a member of management to approve sitting in the bar area before I can be seated when there are a number of tables available at 6pm!

Fresh pastas and pizza made to order in a great space that is made for a night out. I nightly recommend this spot for first dates or for something authentic.

    It appears that the owners have brought all of their talents, knowledge, and baggage with them when they opened this restaurant. Food...mostly phenomenal. ..with a few misses, limitations, and inconsistencies..just like a really good home chef. Ambiance...a mixture of old world charm and tackiness....reminds me of my grandma's home...plastic tablecloths and massive candles...ummm, okay. And Mr. Contractor hubby's contribution-outside of the building's renovation? He brings the construction mentality of management to a restaurant. Yell, scream, belittle your staff until they are angry, nervous and frazzled, then add your wife's bad temper and haughty pride to the mix for some unneeded drama. This place is ripe for one of those Reality-TV overhauls. The potential is there to become one of the best Italian restaurants in the west, but only after a seriously humbling and entertaining episode of "The Problem Mr. and Mrs. Restaurant Owner... Is You." And no, I don't work there...just a customer who waited, tasted, and observed the treatment of both customers and staff.

    I am so happy to report a wonderful experience at Gabriella's! We came in on Saturday of Labor Day weekend at about 8 pm, and were happy to find it was not packed. I've heard from a lot of people and reviews say their reservation system needs some love, so I decided it best to hedge our bets without a reso. We put our name in and headed back to the bar. It's not fancy, and it's not gourmet. It is old-school (old-country) - think red and white checkerboard tablecloths and melty wax candles everywhere. Love it. They have a robust roster of local and craft beers, as well as a good wine list by the glass or bottle. We settled on a $21 bottle of Syrah and were happy with our choice once it had a moment to breathe. About that time, the hostess came to let us know our table was ready, about a 15 minute wait which was perfectly lovely since we were enjoying looking around the cool space (formerly County Line BBQ). We were seated in the middle of the restaurant, and it seemed like we kind of arrived in between seatings, so that worked out pretty well for us. Our waiter, Oscar, was lovely. We had everything we needed the entire time we were there, but he was perhaps the least 'hovering', least intrusive server I've had in OKC. He should teach a class on service! I can think of a few spots that should hire him. We enjoyed the simple salad and garlic bread until our meal came. We split the eggplant parmesan, which was huge, beautiful, delicious and perfectly prepared. It would have also easily been enough for three people. We took one-third of it home (which I reheated in the oven for leftovers today). We splurged and had the tiramisu, also totally worth the calorie bomb that it is. Our bill came to $51, pre tip. Bottle of wine, salad, bread, split entree, add dessert. I'm in, and plan to come back here often and bring friends. Next time I'll make a reservation for a larger group and report back, but for now, three cheers and five stars for one of my favorite new places to come into OKC in a long time.

    THE BEST PIZZA IN THE CITY. Woah, that's a quite the declaration. But I guarantee you, Gabriella's pizza cannot be beat (in OKC). Before we start, ample recognition to Joey's Pizzeria for their solid run at the BEST PIZZA IN OKC title for the past two years (golf claps and head nods by all). You've satisfied my pizza craving multiple times, and it kind of pains me to let go you Titanic style. Jack's not coming back and neither is the Best Pizza Title to Joey's for the foreseeable future. What makes Gabriella's so good? It has to be the brick oven, thin crust. I could write about the different mixture of cheese's, the fresh toppings, or the delicious tomato sauce but that would be fluff. Sure they are all superb yet the crust makes this pizza. There is something to be said about a crust being the right amount of burnt, to bring the whole pizza experience together. Add to the fact you can get an 18" for under $20, steal-azo. Also grabbed a slice of the cheesecake. Which I haven't had bad cheesecake before, so this fit the bill. Really good. On top of bomb pizza and a solid cheesecake, Gabriella's is the place for date nights. Tucked away in the mystique hills of I-44, the Lady and The Tramp atmosphere (less creepy-whispy-mustache-chef-guy)is top notch. Something other Italian restaurants are severely lacking in OKC. The service......it could improve a bit in terms of seating. But once seated everything went splendid. If you're craving Pizza or looking for a great date venue, Gabriella's is the place to go. PS: Reservations strongly recommended. Thank me later.

    Please note I do not equate reviewer capability with negative feedback speak. Sadly, this was just not a good lunch. Maybe others have a better experience to review, but mine was of a cold centered lasagna (thanks for the microwaved food- so glad I left my office) and super slow service, even given the fact that the place was not 25% full. Our waitress was great an capable. But she could only be expected too come so much. And asking her to overcome this reheated food is just not possible. I hope their dinner is a different story. But I believe that to be a chapter I will never write.

    What IS it around here, a place gets popular just because it's new so it's 'In', despite the food... And it sounds like Gabriella's is getting a leeetle too proud of itself, letting hostesses/greeters get by being rude to customers. Generous portions but who cares when you don't care much for your order? My friends choices were ok, but my 'fresh from the Gulf' shrimp certainly did not smell or taste like they were, in fact they were so fishy I only ate a couple of them before I gave up. I did not, as I usually would, bring this to the notice of the establishment as we were out for a special occasion I didn't want to put any dampers on. But I won't be going back.

    This was our first time to visit this establishment as Gabriella's. used to come to the County Line BBQ on a semi-regular basis. Food here is good, but our service was terrible. The server was nice, but was sloooooooow and apparently has not been trained to 1) provide silverware after taking the dirty silverware away; 2) refill drinks without being asked, and then taking 10 minutes to return with not so fresh drinks; 3) clear the table of the empty glasses and dishes, instead of letting me stack them on the corner of my table for the entirety of the meal; 4) at least know what type of pasta makes up the house specialties, not expect me to know it already. Very disappointed!!! Unsure if we will return for another try---

    I want to love this place. We were there Nov. 28, 2014 for dinner. I am a vegetarian. I ordered toasted cheese ravioli and broccoli rabe. Neither item was available. I asked for anything vegetarian with pasta and was told nothing was available. I ended up having tomato bruschetta and asparagus. Tasted good but little interest. The menu does not have enough available for vegetarians. I know the waiter regretted that there were so few choices for me. Surely there are vegetarian dishes in Italy!

    Waited in a ill lit waiting area with no seats, just an outdated coffee table against the wall (?). The hostess was no where to be found. The restaurant was very dark and outdated. The table clothes were plastic. Our waitress was awful. She took forever to bring us anything. We had to ask for waters after receiving our delayed alcoholic beverages. She was very unprofessional and also served my 20 year old sister on law wine. Finally we were given bread, garlic and balsamic and salad along with my husband "cheese tray" that came with his pizza order. There were 3 slices of warm, bland cheese, one olive and two wilted pepperocinis. The salad was saturated in over salted dressing so much so that the lettuce was sopping and soft. Our bread was eaten and never refilled. Every person at the table had to ask for more water every time our cups were empty. Same for our beers, which when replaced, the empty glasses were left piling up, never removed. Our meals came and the waitress spilled a pizza all over the table, my spaghetti and meatballs was all sauce over salted. Our waitress apologized a million times for failing to do her job although we were one of two of her tables. We had to ask her light our tables candle to which she replied that that was a good idea because she was supposed to do it before we arrived and her boss would get mad. Our tab between two people was $92! Not worth it. Horrible experience. Horrible food. Horrible service.

    We waited about 15 minutes before I had to flag down a busboy in order to get any service. During this time I could see several servers walking in and out of the dining area and socializing with each other. One server even gave a check to a table right next to us without asking us if we had been spoken to. After that the service from our server (I think his name was Blane) was lackluster at best. We ordered food with our drinks after waiting so long. Drinks came in a timely manner but it took awhile to get lukewarm bread with a salad that had a salty vinaigrette. The main courses, pasta Roma and ravioli with marinara were delicious, but by that point we were noticing that other tables were getting slow service as well. We also never saw a manager the entire time even though I had to initially flag someone down. By the time out server asked how the food was we were done eating and needed boxes. We declined dessert and paid in cash to avoid further delays. We have been there before and had good service, but this was a pretty poor experience. As a server myself, I could understand poor service in those semi private tables, but we were in the dining area in the bar where we could be easily seen. Not sure we will try again.

    We've been to Gabriella's a few times now, with last night being our most recent visit. The food was fabulous as usual...but the service and temperature this time left a bit to be desired. We had our reservation made far in advance (yes, you need a reservation...don't just show up and expect to get a table) and when we arrived the hostess told us it would be another 30 minutes since the party before us was not done. WOW...open rooms and we have to wait even though we had a reservation? Luckily a few minutes later another hostess came up back and seated us. The AC was horrid in the little side room so we were roasting in the 100+ temps outside. We were also seated as far away from the kitchen as could be, save one more room behind the hostess area. This made for a VERY long meal, which went past the point of being relaxing given the extreme temperature. We just wanted to get out of there by the time our entrees FINALLY arrived (more than an hour after placing our order). Between us we had the lasagne (FANTASTIC), Chicken Parmigiana (really good), Chicken Cacciatore (WONDERFUL), and Alfredo with chicken added (yummy). We also had some truffle fries as an appetizer, my goodness are they yummy! Aside from the heat and slow service, it's still the best Italian restaurant in town!

    This is the kind of place that makes you want half stars. It's not quite on the 2 star level, but I can't seriously give it 3. I have only been once, but based on the other reviews, I don't think my experience is off-base. First, once you get over eating in a weird barn, it's still in the middle of no where. I guess it leans more toward kitschy rustic Italian, Oklahoma style. Personally, the back of the restaurant with the bar and the open kitchen is more what I would expect/want. Not a fancy place, don't dress up much. Second, service was some of the absolute worst I've ever had. Service gets negative 5 stars. We came in to a strange open and dark entry and stood around for 5 minutes. Waiting and waiting to see a speck of life. Finally the hostess greeted us and informed us the table for our reservation was not ready (on a Wednesday). So we waited at the bar in the back. The bartender, proclaiming 15 years of experience, was slower than molasses. It took a while to even be greeted and we were a foot from him. He didn't know his wines well. I asked for a suggestion of a full-bodied and bold cab. I got a taste of something lighter and sweet, which took ages to pour somehow. No water was offered. Finally, after about 10-15 minutes, the reservation table was ready. Might as well have been 30 because no one came by to greet us for another 10-15 minutes. When the server did greet us, it was a hey, I'll be back with salad. Not, can I get you anything else to drink, here's our specials, nothing. I had to catch him on his breeze by to ask for a water. Then he returned 5 minutes later empty handed to take our order. What?? He finally returned with my water, but didn't offer water to anyone else to accompany their beers and wines. Still no promised salad. This pattern continued all night. Waters sat empty for long periods, salad and bread came out shortly before the meal, no oil & vinegar came out for the greasy bread, he didn't know the specials (which turned out to be something on the regular menu anyhow), and he told us he "had a long day" 4 times. Dude, you're only open for dinner service and we had 7pm reservations. Beyond the awful service, that made the meal feel like a painful endeavor, the food was just ok. Salad is served family style. Which means too small to be enough for a real serving for 4 people and over-dressed. Bread was sopping in butter and not served with the oil & vinegar that other reviewers rave about. My entree was good though. I ordered the Carbonara Americano, knowing it would not be real carbonara. I did ask to add peas and fresh garlic like the other "carbonara" had, and the server said "oh, I don't know, I'll check, but the chef is real picky about her food." Really? Adding peas to your "carbonara" is a sin? Come on. But the farfalle pasta was good, not overcooked, the sauce was quite garlic-laden, which I like (granted there was far too much sauce), and the bacon was truly excellent. The other dishes also looked good (ravioli, bolognese, sausage & peppers) and everyone seemed pleased. My family does seem enchanted with the pizza too, though I've never had it. The price point is pretty expected. Pastas in the $14-22 range, meats in the $18+ range. A little more than I would prefer for the quality/level of the restaurant, but understandable and not offensive at all. Ultimately, it's not bad food. Not the best or most authentic Italian, but decent if you're not expecting such. However, the service is enough for me to never choose to go back unless someone in my group really wants to. That, and not really worth driving 40 minutes for it from Norman.

    I was excited to finally get to go to Gabriella's. I love the old building and was excited to see that they hadn't changed very much. The restaurant was only 1/3rd full when we got there and had to give them a full name to be seated. I find this odd but whatever, right? I wanted to love this place. Lots of choices on the menu and really wanted to try a desert. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo and my friend ordered a "spicy" pasta dish with chicken. Our meal came out fairly quickly considering we had yet to receive our salads and bread. The waitress apologized and brought them out. I have to say my dish was good. Was it outstanding? No. It would have been better with fresh Parmesan. My salad would have been great with fresh cracked pepper. The bread was burned. My friends dish didn't have chicken and was not spicy. Again it was good just not great. The waitress apologized many times. At this point I had decided that I probably wouldn't come back on my own but if I was with a group I would come. We also chose no desert. Upon leaving we decided to tell the manager about our experience. When he came to us we explained what had happened and he fumbled over his words and said "well had he know..." We said we just wanted you to know and he pretty much mumbled something and turned around and walked away. My friend and I looked at one another dumbfounded and decided that under no circumstances would we ever come back. I guess what I expected him to say was something along the lines of " I'm sorry to here about your experience here tonight. This is not how we typically serve and I hope you will give us another chance to make it up to you in the future".

    I was the friend who went with Traci P. in the review below - I ordered the "Spicy Pomodoro Pasta" with chicken and as she said, not only was there no chicken, a simple mistake, but it wasn't spicy AT ALL. I thought that's why it's red on the menu, as it states. Yes the bread was burnt to a crisp, no there was no fresh parmesan for my $12 bowl of pasta and tomatoes, yes the "balsamic" tasted like malt vinegar and no our service was not amazing. However, in spite of that - the wine selection was decent, our server was at least kind, the tomatoes on my pasta were fresh and the atmosphere was nice. We had planned to possibly give it another shot - if we were in the right mood another day. But after the manager incident - I will NEVER step foot back in that establishment. It was unprofessional and just plain rude - he should have been embarrassed at how he treated us. We had already paid and were not trying to get anything for free.     Hands down the best Italian restaurant I've visited in 15yrs. This is truly a family ownder restaurant with family members serving and in the kitchen. The owner was all over the place including the kitchen monitoring and directing. The wine selection is good & reasonable. we watched wood fire cooked pizza, our italian sausage was cook on a grill as we watched 15ft away. The chix was flavorfull....I mean damn good! The linguini amd red sauce was 2nd to none. Ate like 2 fat men for about $90 which includes bottle of wine, appetizer and dinner YOU CANT GO WRONG!

    First of all, make a reservation, even if you are going during the week. That way you will be assured of getting a table. You might luck out during the week w/out a reservation, but why take the chance? The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. The serving sizes are more than ample, so consider sharing. My hubby and I shared the calamari appetizer. It was delicious and could have easily served 3 or 4...but the 2 of us managed it on our own! For the main course we shared a calzone, again most ample. We got the Gregorian, with added mushrooms. It came with a generous serving of french fried potatoes...fried in truffle oil! What a great taste experience...I'm now spoiled! You also get a house salad to share, a basket of focaccia bread and a plate with some cheese, olives, mild peppers. The only negative was the dessert. We ordered the cannoli and, though the filling was tasty, the shell seemed a little overdone, a little too dark for my taste (should have ordered the tiramisu?!). Overall, Gabriella's is a great place to eat and we just might make a special stop there the next time we pass through OKC, being sure to make reservations, of course.

    Went there for lunch the other day - and I was impressed. Service was excellent, the choices wide and the prices reasonable. After coming home I read the Yelp reviews and saw that poor service was noted - a while back. This place has only been open a few months and service issues are to be expected. Will go there for dinner and I will write another review. But it is hard not to look around and wonder why the all you can eat ribs and other BBQ fare are not there. Yes, I miss the old County Line, but I still like the small kind of intimate rooms on the side that seat just four people.

    Definitely make a reservation, but even if you can't get in, it is worth a wait. Our secret is to go to the bar (behind the main waiting room), and sit at the kitchen counter. There are always spots, and it is a fun environment to be in! It is also appropriate for an intimate date or family dinner, as there are little alcove dining areas around the restaurant that are semi-private. The food is delicious and the portion sizes very large. I have had the fried zucchini appetizer, the fried ravioli, the carbonara, the chicken parm, and the jalapeño tilapia (on separate trips, of course). All were amazing, and so much that I was able to eat on the entree a few days afterwards. This is a tried and true family owned business, and many of the family members are putting their heart and soul into this restaurant every evening. Having sat at the kitchen "bar rail", I have seen many other dishes come out of the kitchen, which all look amazing, especially the steak and the wood-fired pizzas. This is definitely a must do! Now.... if they can just get chicken speidini.

    The food is excellent. Their pizza sauce is quite flavorful. Their Italian sausage is made there daily and is delicious. I love the cozy setting. The peope are overall friendly and attentive.

    My fiancé and I went there for a little date night this week. We had been there for a Yelp! event a couple of months ago, and the food was good so we decided to try out dinner there. Let me say first that the entrees were excellent. I got the Carbonara Amircano (bowtie pasta with onions, tomatoes, chicken, bacon, in an alfredo sauce) and she got the ravioli (meat ravioli in a marinara sauce). Both were made from scratch and very good. However, everything else about the meal was mediocre at best. First of all, when we got there the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full and we still had to wait 5 minutes to be seated. My fiancé wanted ranch dressing for the salad. It's the only way she eats salad. They didn't have ranch dressing. I don't know how you have a restaurant in Oklahoma and not run into this enough to provide ranch dressing. The salad was served in a HOT bowl, which made the salad warm. Not good at all. For $15-$16 a plate minimum, the small things can ruin the meal. We ended up spending about $54 for the meal. We might give them another try sometime, only because the entrees were so good, but there are definitely better options for the Italian dining experience.

    Had dinner there with friends and it's good to see the old County Line restaurant building back in service. I like the atmosphere( the private booths are nice) and the market area at the front of the store. Service: B+ Our waitress was very nice and attentive without being overly so. Food: C I had the lasagna and one of my friends had chicken marsala and we thought the sauce was too sweet. My wife had a shrimp and pasta dish that she liked but it was very garlicy. Salad and garlic bread were ok. Dessert: F Got the cheesecake, supposedly with strawberries. I should have ordered the plain cheesecake because the strawberries weren't fresh, it was more like a strawberry jam or preserves that were very dark in color and tasted terrible! All things considered I think this restaurant has promise but it's not yet where it needs to be. Give it a try--tues evening wasn't crowded at 5:30 but stay away from those strawberries with your cheesecake!

    Best chicken parmesana in OkC.. Good atmosphere. 2 thumbs up!! Definitely should try it if you haven't. My 15 month old son licks his spaghetti plate clean.

    Came here for my first time for a family birthday. I can say for sure I will be back. The menu is huge and everything looks wonderful. I went with the back lasagna and was not disappointed. They have a full bar with a large selection of local and import beer on tap. The service was great and the waitress was well attentive to our large somewhat demanding group.

    I don't know the best way to put this... I would never recommend this place. I was really looking forward to trying this place but I was completely turned off because of the way a situation was handled with the owners, who came out and insulted our group. I was considering returning to give a second chance until the wife (owner) came out from the kitchen and insulted me and my fiancé who were trying to thank the staff for their effort. I will never return until there are different owners.

    Went here for the first time and have to say the food and cocktails (I had a Basil Lemonata - very yummy) are top notch. However, we could not figure out their seating system. Upon arrival we put our name on the list and were told it was an hour and a half wait. So we went to the bar area where there were 4 empty tables. During the hour we were waiting, the hostess only seated a couple of these tables while the other 2 remained empty. At any given time there were 4-5 empty tables (and these were not bar seating but dining seating, and they were not short staffed.) Several times the hostess came back to the bar area looking for people but couldn't find them. After that, we went and told her specifically that we were in the bar so she could find us. After the hour and a half we went and asked where we were on the list and why the tables weren't being seated and were told they had "lost" our name. So not very happy with the hostess or seating service, but the food and dining service made up for it. Just make sure you make a reservation!

    Like they say, "if you don't like garlic, go home!" OMG, bring mints. The flavors in this place are not for the faint of heart. Everything we ordered came to the table with in your face flavor. I had the shrimp fra diablo. Very flavorful, I could have taken it spicier but there was a shaker of red pepper flakes on the table. The pasta was cooked perfectly. Some else at the table ordered the linguinie in clam sauce. Fresh little neck clams cooked with just the right about of garlic and a perfect accent of sweet vermouth. Never had it prepared better in any place in NYC. The ciopino was loaded with a great variety of seafood but it was in a heavy sauce instead of a broth, so it was more of a seafood marinara. But excellent none of the less. I don't eat lasagna, but the friend that ordered it said it was great. The wine list is adequate, we have the Coppoloa Directors Cut. it was a perfect accompaniment the vibrant flavors of Gabriella's food. The canolli's are hand filled per order. This makes the shell crispy and their marscapone filling so creamy and delish. Save room for them. One word of advice, MAKE RESERVATIONS!!!

    Went to eat last night about 8:00 so it was not crowded and there was no wait for us to be seated. Service was very good and everything we ordered was quickly brought out to the table from start to finish. The garlic bread was tasty but the salad had waaay too much dressing on it when it left the kitchen and I would have rather had the dressing on the side. The Spaghetti Bolognese that I ate was very good and the Littleneck Clams and Linguini that my son ate was good as well. We ordered two pizzas to take home for the rest of the crew and so far their comments have been very favorable. I tried their "White Pie" and a meatball and mushroom pizza and both were good and the brick oven crust had a great texture and flavor that you only get from this type of oven. Pizzas are all large sized and their prices are very reasonable for pizza when compared to other gourmet pizza establishments in OKC. I would definitely eat there again and try some of their other dishes.

    After years of going to County Line (although much less in recent years), it was strange to go in to a new place - especially Italian. But I will give our evening at Gabriella's pretty high marks. First off - IT WAS BUSY! Luckily we had a reservation and avoided the 2 hour wait. The salads and bread were good, not great, The Cioppino (fish type stew/soup) was REALLY good - by far the best thing we had. Really tasty and would highly recommend if you like seafood. The meatballs - well they were fine. I was expecting more but all in all - fine. I would note that a couple of our co-diners were a little unimpressed with the very simple serving presentation - just in a simple white bowl with not much pomp and circumstance. I was fine with it but its not fancy by any means. The atmosphere was fun - very active in the back room area by the bar. I was glad we went and will be looking forward to a return soon! Enjoy!

    Good classic Italian. Crazy off the wall fusion. Simple items on a HUGE menu. Those are just some of the descriptions that come to mind after I tried Gabriella's for the first time. I had their sausage & peppers dinner. These guy do their Italian meats well. Hell you can stop by and order some at the front counter. The spaghetti sauce was too sugary for me, but I'm sure any 10 year old would have loved it. My wife ordered the pasta pomadoro and really enjoyed it. My friend ordered the spaghetti festival and I was jealous. Let me past their description: "Spaghetti sauteed with roma tomatoes, caramelized onions and sweet bell peppers, black olives, and garlic. Topped with chicken, pepperoni, and homemade Italian sausage." He won. His wife ordered a fusion shrimp dish and she was the only one disappointed. This place is very similar to the Italian restaurants in Krebbs. They have a lot of their recipes and their meats. I'm pretty sure since this is down the street, I'm going to stop driving to McAlester. P.S. They have a simple good family style house salad, but I loved their garlic flavored oil for their home made bread.

    Tonight was my second time at Gabriella's. The first time was ok but it took so long to get the food that I really was not anxious to go back.. My daughter had friends in from the east coast and wanted to go there so we did. We had reservations fo 8. By 9:30 two of our party left and we got their food to go. At 9:45 the owner came in and stated he had heard we were unhappy. We explained and he said the kitchen was behind abouy 45 minutes. He then went out of the room and came back in and through somethng on the table- it was a list showing the times of our orders. He said that we should not tip the waitress because she turned the order in late. He stormed out of the room and we sat there embarrassed that we had brought out of town guests to this restaurant. What he showed us was that even after the food was turned in it took us 50 minutes to get it. The waitress came in crying and we apologized and she said it did not matter that no matter what happens there they are blamed. It was a sad and disheartening experience. The food is good, is is often over seasoned instead of being subtle in flavor. It is certainly not great and not worth subjecting ourselves to this type of behavior. We paid our $250 bill and left a nice tip and all left much unhappier than when we came. Dining out should be a pleasant experience. I have often boycotted chains in preference of a family owned business. I know running a business is tough - but this was the worst restaurant experienc I have ever had. The way the owner treated us and his staff was disappointing.

    Local quirky italian family business expands into an OKC institution. Some interesting menu items (I had pistachio crusted pork chops). Some local beers on tap. Portions are large... maybe it is wise to split an entree and pay for the extra salad so that you can enjoy the massive desserts.

    Love the food and the selection on the menu. The calamari was sliced thin and done just right. The bruschetta is wonderful! Each entree and dessert we've had in our two visits has been worth the trip. My only complaint is getting seated. Both times we had reservations and despite seating being open upon arrival, and remaining open until we were seated 30 mins later, we had to wait until our reservation time. Seems they could turn more tables and increase customer satisfaction at the same time. We'll definitely be back but will be sure not to arrive more than a few minutes before our reservations.

    I love love love the atmosphere of this place. The rustic wooden interior creates a cozy, log cabin type vibe. The main room is a large open dining area in the center surrounded by more personal, secluded-table rooms along the exterior, all accented with traditional Italian checkerboard tablecloths and melted candles galore. It's the type of restaurant you'd like to work in because at the end of the night, after all the hustle and bustle and the crowd has cleared out, it'd be a great place to unwind with your fellow co-workers over a cold beer or glass of red (slightly below room temp, obv.). Atmosphere aside, the food isn't too shabby either. Had the pleasure of trying some of their menu items awhile back - the standouts were definitely the sausage and peppers and the ginormous meatballs. I won't get started on meatballs because I tend to be rather picky, but I will say that these weren't disappointing, not in the least. On our last visit we tried the veggie pizza and the eggplant parmesan. The eggplant was a little bland for my taste buds, I'd prefer if they left the skin on the eggplant for this dish, personal preference really. The pizza is huge, after salad and garlic bread I was only able to make it through 2 slices. It was pretty good, not the best pizza I've ever had, not the worst. The crust was a little too doughy for me, but the veggie toppings were fresh enough. The pizza was also surprisingly garlicky, kind of caught me off guard, so just be aware... and dispense Altoids accordingly. Something worth mentioning: I think we went on a weeknight, so we lucked out in the sense that we didn't need a reservation, however, I would highly recommend making reservations first. We tried to walk-in on a weekend one time and the wait was over two hours, so yeah, there's that. Fortunately, we had no problems this time. We were seated promptly, and our server was the jam, unfortunately I can't remember his name, but he was good. Much to my dismay, I was unaware that they made fresh cannoli to order here, but then again, I was too full to be bothered with the idea of dessert at that point anyways. Regardless, I will be back soon to bask in the ambiance that is Gabriella's, and no doubt devour a good plate or two of cannolis in the process. Overall Grade: B

    We stayed nearby and saw that this place was crowded so we decided it was probably good enough to come back later. We got there at 9:30 pm, waited in the nice waiting area for 15 minutes (as they said we would), and then we were seated in one of the little rooms. The tables are isolated in their own rooms and have a very nice relaxed and romantic atmosphere. I wouldn't say it was the fanciest place, but it's fit for a nice night out. Meals are a tad bit overpriced but the portions were big and the food was really good. I ordered the Brussel sprout and linguine meal per a previous reviewers recommendation and I loved it. My husband got pizza and loved his meal as well. Our server Alia was so nice and checked in on us regularly. Overall, we liked this place. The only thing was that it would have been nice to receive a drink or something in the waiting area (it's furnished with chairs, benches, small tables, and a bar they was unoccupied).
